EXACTLYY I’ve seen so many different Greek mythology inspired pieces of media and there’s always some people complaining about characterisation just because it wasn’t what they expected 😭

Personally I really like how Zeus has been portrayed! He’s prideful and arrogant which really suits his role as the king of Olympus, and if anything having him smite Athena is so much more tragic BECAUSE she’s his favourite child!!!!

Honestly one of my biggest pet peeves is people saying they’re not enjoying something anymore and constantly complaining about it but….still engage with it anyway? 😭 Like if they’re not enjoying it anymore that’s fine but just listen to something else instead of making it everyone else’s problem ugh

That last post held me accountable for this.

But here we are! Finally made something in response to one of my many new obsessions: The Amazing Digital Circus!

Used this piece as an excuse to learn a new program - and while I do think I have a lot to learn about it I had a lot of fun and think that it came out really well! Spotlight mentioned that medibang (the new program) is a good way to mess with some 2-d 3-d stuff and so it was a good opportunity to try out with a character, Pomni, who was 3-d.

Needless to say, TADC is absolutely stunning. The writing, the animation, the music. Just *chef kiss*. So I had to show my love.

Jere's a drawing I made recently of the Bloodmoon twins (but actually kinda my own version strongly based on SAMS), & my own twist on Ruin Eclipse's design in SAMS!!! (also yes I did mean here's but jere's was funnier I had to keep it)

The one higher up is Harvest (I know everyone calls one of the twins Harvest but it works & its cute lemme have it), name based on a Harvest Moon, and the one lower down is Blood Flower, name based on a Super Flower Blood Moon

I haven't drawn their fused form yet, but trust me it looks really cool in my head (not really)

And of course here's Ruin Eclipse!!! I will be calling em Puzzle from now on to end confusion between Ruin Eclipse canon & Ruin Eclipse SAMS

I love Puzzle's new design but I really wanted to add my twist to it cus... (no offense to Damien-Candle I love their design it's so cool and adorable & huggable) ...Ruin kinda pale imo

But I kinda made this design for Puzzle by fusing my design for Jigsaw (the evil Ruin Eclipse) with Damien's ref sheet for Ruin Eclipse and with this specific thumbnail

(it's not the best screenshot but when I first saw it I had to zoom in, take a screenshot, and zoom in more, cus from a distance it looked like Ruin had rabbit ears. That's also why I gave Ruin more of the jester-like hat rather than a nightcap so that it referenced me thinking those were rabbit ears) (Again this art isn't bad it's really cool!!!)

Many of Kita’s friends and volleyball teammates think he is a stickler for routine. And they are right. But Kita isn’t rigid. He isn’t unchangeable. He accepts a break in routine, takes it in stride, learns from the turning tides and comes back with a smile on his face. Why else would he be the captain of the volleyball team if he didn’t know how to assimilate with rapidly developing circumstances?

Today, he is confronted with another such change. He is staring it right in the face. For a few moments, Kita cannot fathom the sight. How can it be? A red envelope in his locker? Surely, it must not be meant for him.

His next thought is how it got there in the first place. No one besides the volleyball team is allowed in the club room. He is the one who always opens it and he is also the one who locks up every night. Did someone sneak in during practice time?

Nothing else in his locker seems out of place. Just the letter placed delicately on top of the rest of his belongings. Kita finally reaches out for it, tugging on the flap to detach it and pulling out the crisp white paper inside. Kita is halted in his tracks when he realizes that there is no writing on the paper. It’s a print-out. Of a screenshot.

He eyes the text message chain, recognising the small icons on both the sender and receiver’s text bubbles. It’s Suna, his underclassman, and he also recognises you, the manager and his long time best friend.

‘I can’t stand it anymore suna!’

‘then just tell him’

‘u know i cant’

‘thats a u problem’

The next message is long, bordering on a whole paragraph, and Kita’s eyes skim over it. For the first time in a long while, his heart skips.

‘ive known him forever rin. hes such an amazing person and my best friend but he doesn like me that way. if i tell him im just gonna lose him as a friend and id rather we be friends than nothing at all’

The punctuation is atrocious, and the grammar is slightly questionable, but Kita smiles regardless. He carefully folds the paper again, placing it inside the envelope. He closes his locker and continues his evening routine of cleaning up and locking the club room.

Over the next hour as Kita cleans, his thoughts mull over the letter he had just received. The menial nature of the tasks relaxes him, gives him time to mull over this new information. Kita realizes that maybe he isn’t as perceptive as previously thought by his friends.

How can he have not seen that look in your eyes before? Softer than anything and directed only at him, now that he thinks about it. He ponders over your words, the insecurity and negativity behind them. He has never known you to be a negative person. You are endlessly optimistic and full of energy. You are so bright that Kita loves basking in it. He has known you for a very long time, and he is almost affronted that your budding romantic feelings were hidden from him for so long. Especially when Kita has made his courting intentions for you fairly clear.

He has not directly said anything. But he doesn’t think he was ever being discreet. But maybe he has been wrong in his approach. Maybe you hooking your arm with his when you walked to school in the morning, sharing lunches every day, permanently stealing a few of his choice hoodies were all friendly gestures on your part. While Kita has interpreted the gestures as romantic, it seems you have not felt the same heat behind those actions.

Kita has always walked the same route home, sometimes with Aran, sometimes with you, and sometimes on his own. Today he takes the walk alone, but he is not bothered. He has purpose in his mind, the red envelope in his hand, and his feet carry him all the way through the winding streets until he stops at your doorstep.

He smiles at the surprise in your eyes when you receive him at the door. He nearly coos at the fuzzy slippers on your feet, huge and with bunny ears on them, making your feet look twice their usual size. You are so cute. Kita scolds himself lightly, regretting that he had wasted so much time as your friend when maybe he could have spent it with you as his romantic partner. His girlfriend.

It has a nice ring to it, Kita decides.

“Shinsuke?” Your voice breaks his train of thought. The ‘what are you doing here’ is clear in your voice. Your eyes are wide and your face is questioning. There is a tinge of worry on your face, and Kita realizes that showing up unannounced may not have been the best idea. He isn’t sure what is going on in your head, but he quickly tries to quash your worries.

“Everything is fine.” Clear, direct, to the point. It’s Kita being Kita. “I’m here about something I found in my locker while closing up.”

He holds up the red envelope, and when you stare at it in confusion, he proceeds to open it and pull out the white paper. You take it when he offers it to you, unfolding it and reading the letter. If you can call it that.

Kita watches the color drain from your face, notices how the panic overtakes your features as you recognise the conversation printed in front of you. He feels his shoulders slump a little, lamenting the fact that you are truly scared about him finding out. What do you think he will do? Has Kita truly not made his intentions for you clear enough? He cannot help but self loathe in that moment, seeing the state you were in now.

“Shin-”

He doesn’t let you finish.

“If you will allow it, I would like to take you out for dinner this weekend. Will you be free on Saturday?”

You blink once, twice. Your mouth opens and closes. Kita is acutely reminded of a fish. He tries to tamp down his smile.

“R-really?”

He merely nods.

Slowly, life reinjects into your face. You seem to age in reverse before his very eyes. Your grip on the letter crinkles the paper slightly, and Kita reaches out to gently pry it from your hands and smooth it out. He stays quiet as you process his words. He thinks of hugging you, maybe even kissing you. But stops himself. Those are moments he will reserve for after your first date, after he has properly given you the best date of your dreams. So he keeps his eyes on the letter.

“Remind me to thank Suna for this letter.” He comments. “I must say, it’s the strangest confession letter I have ever received.”

There is a pause.

“You’ve received other confession letters?!”

And for a long time it seemed to him that all these dreams were shattered the moment he ran over the barricades on the road leading to Raccoon City.

But that belief was shattered the moment he saw you. Beautiful, graceful, soft, just perfect for him, how could he not notice you among all the crowds of these gloomy, rude, cruel people? He felt like an insecure teenager again, noticing the most beautiful girl in school, a feeling he hadn't had in a couple dozen years. Courting you was ordinary, romantic, but nothing fancy, but it still won your heart. Or maybe it was the way a grown-up man blushed and sweated like a puberty boy when he saw you, you don't know for sure, but it was definitely something that made you start dating him.

If you ask him now, he would say that he does not even remember what happened until the moment when he knelt in front of you, taking out a modest but beautiful ring in a velvet box from his pocket. Standing in front of you at that moment, he was thinking that he didn't know what he would do if you said no, and you could swear that you saw tears in his eyes when you agreed. Your fiance looked like a tiny puppy, wagging his tail and running around his owner with joyful barking while you put on your wedding dress, asking him to stay close and help with the corset at the same time. You were amazing: the beautiful white fabric flowed over your body as if you were doused with milk, and several layers of tulle under your skirt made your figure even more magnificent. And he didn't lie, he never lied to you, because no matter how much you both wanted to go to an Indonesian beach or watch flamingos, you couldn't get out of bed. Oh, how you fucked, all the food you ate was from room service, you were on the bed, on the floor, in the luxurious bathroom, even on the balcony at night, you did everything you could think of while Leon pressed against you, kissing under your ear, pleading, but deep voice purring.

“Just one more time, Mrs. Kennedy.”

Mrs. Kennedy did something incredible to you, and you succumbed over and over and over again, allowing him to enjoy you, his beloved woman, his wife... and considering how furiously he thrusted into you, the mother of his children at the same time. So neither of you were surprised when, a month after your honeymoon, your period didn't come, and the next day you saw two stripes on the test. Even twice, so that the results are for sure. You heard the joke that two positive tests mean two children, it was from Leon when he joked about it, and you slapped him on the back of the head, making him laugh, but when doctor told you at the first ultrasound that you were going to have twins, you were both shocked. In a pleasant shock, to be precise.

And this was the moment that he loved to remember every time he returned home to his dear wife, unlocking the front door with keys so quietly that his newborns would not wake up. Most of all, he wanted to throw his bag on the floor right in the hallway, along with his unbuttoned uniform, and fall on the bed, without a shower and dinner, although dinner at three in the morning is a terrible idea. When he lets out a tired sigh, hearing his vest release his chest, falling to the floor with a soft booming thud, he hears the rustling and creaking of your bedroom door, immediately tensing up and turning his head in that direction. A smile paints his face with happiness when you come out to him, in a pink fur robe and slippers in the form of pugs, coming closer, and slightly timidly spreading your arms in an invitation to a hug.

“My pretty one....” He mumbles, taking a step towards you and wrapping you in a tight hug, letting you bury your forehead in his shoulder.

“I missed you, Lee....”You gently stroke his back, running your palms over his shoulder blades when you feel his kiss in your hair. You can't help but giggle softly, kissing him somewhere on the jaw, feeling his unshaven stubble with your lips. It makes you laugh again and pull away, putting your hands on his chest with a smile. “Unscathed?”

“Kinda. A little injuries here and there, but nothing I couldn't handle, you know me.”He laughs hollowly, placing his palms on your forearms to pull you closer and kiss your cheek. “I missed you too... and our little ones.... How are they?”

“Scott is just perfect, and Melissa has become more moody in recent days.” You respond by sighing softly while his kisses make you giggle. “She is not so willing to being fed with breast, I have to use a pumper.... God, there's too much of you in this girl, you know.”

Leon laughs, quietly, so that God forbid not to wake up your children. “I don't think I've ever been able to give up on your breasts.”His lips continue to shower kisses on your face as he gradually descends to your neck, pushing back the collar of your robe. Huh. He even remembers the times when you met him in a red silk nightgown and black lace underwear… Well, after the wedding and pregnancy, your wardrobe has changed significantly. they wait, and wait, and eventually tom is asked to go back inside to get you. bill is playing it off as a joke, but tom can tell they’re getting a smidge impatient with you. tom steps over to the bedroom door, gently knocking. “schatz, c’mon. we’ve gotta go.” (darling) he tells you, leaning near the door. you don’t respond, yet the lock clicks open. tom opens the door slowly, peering in before opening it fully. he’s absolutely stunned; you’re dressed up, not in your usual clothes, but in a short skirt, cropped top and leather jacket. your platforms give you a couple inches, yet you’re just barely the same height as him. tom blinks, eyes taking in your appearance. “you don’t think this is too revealing do you..?” you ask, hands cusping before you. tom blinks again, looking at you. “no, no it’s perfect, baby. you look amazing.” he smiles, kissing you gently.

you hum. tom can tell you’re feeling insecure, yet the way his hands rest on your hips as he guides you out to the rest of the gang makes you relax a little. the others smile as you finally join them, and bill looks over your outfit. “looking good! we ready?” he asks, smiling softly. “yeah, we’re ready.” you reply, hand grasping tom’s gently. “good. let’s go.” gustav gets in the car, and the rest of the band follow suit. you sit beside tom in the back, bill’s driving, gustav had called shotgun and georg was sat on tom’s left. “i was thinking…” bill starts as he pulls away from the curb. “we could go out and get dinner after this.” he says, glancing at tom in the rearview mirror. “i don’t think i’ll go. i’ve got a meal planned at home.” tom’s hand slips under your skirt, massaging your thigh. you fluster, staring at your boyfriend with wide eyes. he smiles innocently, kissing your cheek. “that’s fine, we’ll bring you some leftovers just in case.” bill chirps, completely unaware of his brother’s actions.
