Thinking about how Diavolo’s feelings transcend time and how in the Nightbringer UR+ card Demon Lord’s Castle Tour this conversation happens.

When asked, “Do you wish to see your father?”

Diavolo responds:

“I suppose I do . . .” isn’t the typical reaction to how a child would feel about wanting to see their parent. Especially when said parent has essentially been in a coma for a year.

Along with how Diavolo describe his father.

It makes more sense why when you learn in Lesson 56 how Diavolo was treated by him growing up.

Diavolo can tell when others are lying but is unable to understand his father’s intentions.

Diavolo mentions that he lived a very sheltered life growing up. That from a young age his father never allowed him a chance to talk to anyone outside the castle.

His childhood friend was Mephistopheles. A demon literally RAISED to be his friend. Putting a barrier between the two because Mephistopheles would put Diavolo on a pedestal.

The isolating childhood he experienced riddled with his strict father constantly scolding him.

Despite everything MC is so important to him he wants to see his father again so we can meet.

Let Danny’s Parents Be Criminals

I hate the reveal gone wrong trope in the dpxdc fandom because we know Jack and Maddie end up supporting Danny and Dani in the end. His parents have some major flaws but wanting to torture their actual child isn’t one. What they are guilty of is going way too hard on any plan they cook up without thinking of the consequences.

If I were writing a dpxdc fic and I wanted Danny in adoptable status I’d just have Jack and Maddie in jail on charges of domestic terrorism after they killed off GIW agents and destroyed the GIW’s bases. They realized their ghost kids were in potential danger and went at the government the same way they went at ghosts, guns blazing and with reckless driving.

They end up in federal prison and they Vlad wins custody cause he’s rich and there is your runaway Danny plot starter.

Ouugughh I was not expecting the brainrot to be this bad, but this week's prompts of the Hermitcraft Character Design Event inspired me to take a look at my old Yogscast botw au, back when the common hc for yogs c!martyn was so different! Seeing my old designs for everyone in the au made me want to redesign them, and I had so much fun updating both martyn, who’s basically a human-shaped korok, and Toby (SoTotallyToby), who Martyn befriended and knighted as the defender of the Great Hyrule forest, that iiiiii kinda started entertaining the idea of throwing some hermits into the au, too.

Amused thoughts about Ren being Littlewood’s new guard dog and the subsequent thought that Toby and Ren would probably end up fighting over the Korok Prince has led to more brainrot than I’d like to admit, honestly. So… yeah. Botwcast, featuring Korok Prince Martyn, Defender of the Lost Woods Toby, and Blood Moon werewolf Ren!

have i talked before about how crazy it drives me that in old bdubs videos he would super abashedly talk about his love for making things pretty? because. it drives me crazy.

at the beginning of mc4 when everyone was clearing out spawn so it was a lifeless flat plot of land to build on and bdubs took it personally and added grass and foliage once everything was built to make the whole landscape more lively and cohesive. and how hed get made fun of for thinking about little shit like that.

also when he got asked what hed be doing if he wasnt doing mc and he mentioned music (i think) and basically was super embarrassed to be like “i know its not very manly, but im super into artsy fartsy stuff”. as if that is a bad thing.

anyway im getting so emo thinking about how in hermitcraft, everyone knows and admires bdubs skill as a builder and its not ever something thats made fun of anymore. thinking about how bdubs never talks down about his own abilities anymore and instead of feeling weird about being a dude whose into artsy fartsy stuff, hes really embraced his career as a creator of beautiful things.

Telegony isn’t real unless it’s made of cloud—just consider the possibility where Circe created an image (eidolon) of Odysseus using cloud and they had a child (or three children) together. But Circe soon found this Odysseus somewhat lacking so she sent him away, leaving their child (or children) here on Aeaea. Cloud!Odysseus (or should I say Clodysseus) then roamed around in Italy before dropping off in Epirus where he found himself a new wife Callidice, and fought a war against the Bryges. Eighteen years later the death of Callidice reminded him of a home so distant that he never felt he had but now realized he needed it so much so he decided to go “back” to Ithaca. Meanwhile the half-cloud half-divine Telegonus went to search for his father and landed in Ithaca too. And upon seeing the Clodysseus who had just came to this island he mistook him as a guard and had a fight with him and stabbed him with that poisonous spear. Then Clodysseus dissipated after Telegonus realized that he stabbed his father, who only had the chance to give one glance at this home that would never be his.

Meanwhile the real Odysseus was suffering from trauma until the eighth year came and he got back to Ithaca and had his revenge and then went through the oar quest and once again returned chilling with his Penelope and Telemachus for the rest of his life, maybe going back to gardening or something, and somehow caught all of the drama in 360P that happened on that day, in the tenth year after his return.

Caruso/Stegosaurus: wants to be cool at any price, changes personality at will, bit funny, bit like Scooby, empty headed ego. Thinks he's better than others, ultimate wannabe, incredibly vain and self-centered, attention span of a gnat. Every new passion is his ticket to mega-stardom. A teen version of Ben Stiller's Zoolander, "I'm too sexy for my shirt”.

Buzz/Pteranodon: false hero, scared, bitchy funny, bit like Shaggy, tough-talking loudmouth, all show no guts. Wants to be a tough hero, but afraid of own shadow. The bigger they are, the harder they fear! Joe Pesci as the Cowardly Lion, turned Cowardly Dino.

Rodger/Styracosaurus: Chris Rock + MacGiver, under appreciated, gets no respect, makes cool multi-tools... “and it also makes great cappuccino!” Why? Because it can! wise-cracking, limitless technical skills, drives others crazy with an endless practical jokes.

Regarding the L*stappen thing. The same "OMG he said his name" also happened the other way round.

There is a video (on TikTok) where Charles was asked about the 10 nicest drivers on the grid. So Charles names (in order): Pierre, Carlos, the rest of the Twitch Quartet, Yuki,.. I believe Max was like around 7. to 9. and yet the entire comment section is just filled with "Oh he said Max ❤️ Lestappen ❤️"

Well, since I outed myself as someone who genuinely does not like lestappen, I may as well keep going, right? It’s tagged anti, so those who like that ship should have filtered that tag out.

I didn’t know about that video but I’m not surprised, like I said, those people take any crumb to ship it. And it’s not too bad, if it wasn’t so widespread and over nothing like this. It saddens me that lestappen became the first ship of the f1 fandom when other ships literally have more chemistry. Max and Charles barely interact with each other and it’s more polite than anything else, and yes there’s the “rivalry” factor but that factor exists for so many people. For me, Lewis and Max ship is way more appealing if you seek a rivalry kind of trope in terms of what happened in 2021. And in general, ships like Max and Daniel have way better dynamics, to my eyes.

Someone literally reblogged a post that would be more classified as Piarles (Pierre and Charles at that Taylor swift concert wearing matching outfits) and said you don’t get it those are just besties and lestappen “have the weirdest history and an inability to be normal about each other”. Why did this person came on a post tagged piarles to say that, especially if we consider that piarles has a way better story and interact a lot compared to lestappen? No idea but sure they “can’t be normal about each other.” They’re so not normal about each other that they barely interact lmao.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who does not like that ship, thanks anon!
