For a long time I couldn't understand why the announcement about finding Rantaro's body didn't play right away. I thought that it was probably just for dramatic effect, to make everyone panic

But then I thought that Tsumugi literally killed Rantaro a couple of seconds ago, and she not only had to run through the tunnel, but also return to the dining room and wait there for a few seconds. Because otherwise, her disappearance and/or arrival after or at the same time as the announcement would have been just super suspicious. So maybe the announcement was delayed specifically for her sake

I really like to imagine Tsumugi cursing while sprinting through the tunnel
