Oh wait.
Based on Neuvillette's line about Ei, he'd be primarily judging the Archons' actions that took place after they've accepted the Authorities, not before, because before taking the Authorities, they wouldn't be classified as Usurpers he needed to judge.
"As a survivor of the dragon race who has regained my full dragonhood, I must fulfill my oaths and obligations even if it means returning all the water in the oceans back to the heavens. In taking the Authority of Electro, the Narukami placed herself on the list of the usurpers, she will..."
"But wouldn't this mean he's incapable of judging the Heavenly Principles' actions before they stole the Authorities too??!?!??"
No.
He knows by now the current Archons had nothing to do with directly stealing the Authorities from the Sovereigns, therefore they can't be charged with that crime. The direct stealing and m-rdering of the Sovereigns and their Authorities was committed by PO and his Shades alone. Therefore, only they can be charged with crimes/actions committed before they got their Authorities (because during their time usurping they didn't have the authorities, they were unrightfully battling for it).
"Wwell they STILL accepted the Authorities, therefore that makes them guilty by association!"
Then they'd all be automatically declared guilty without need for trial. That'd not only make no sense but there'd be no use for a trial.
In regards to their potential crimes, he'd more than likely (at most) be able to charge them with the charge he gave to Childe: Tangential Liability. This basically means an individual is held responsible for the actions or consequences indirectly related to their own actions or omissions.
In other words, it involves liability that arises from a secondary or collateral involvement in a situation, rather than direct participation or causation. The secondary and collateral involvement is (should be) in reference to the actions they've committed only after becoming Official Usurpers (like HP) re:accepting the Authority.
After all, the judgement of Childe did not refer to the actions he partook in before waking the whale, but after. Same applies to the archons and when they took the authorities.
Now idk if they knew the basis of the thrones before accepting them (unlikely, because before they did, their knowledge of the thrones was more than likely the same as Orobashi's: none. Orobashi was only sentenced to death after learning of the true history without having the "right" to know that info i.e. not having the Authority. The Archons likely would've been given the same sentence should they have learned before gaining the right to the knowledge as well...unless they're exceptions who had other ways of guaranteeing their silence).
#if he really is judging them based on their actions they took only after taking the authority#then i guess my other long post was for nothing....#oh well LMAO#zhongli#neuvillette#genshin impact#lore#theory#that post was meant to un-merit a lot of the claims against zhongli anyways. not that i believe it

I'm on a discord of an author I follow, also from AO3, it's a little community and all of them are nice, we support each other very much, you should try it out, it's very fun
Not to poke any bears around here or get trauma-dumpy, but there is a non-zero chance that the server you're in was the exact one that I had a terrible experience with. I hope I don't sound rude, but there is a reason why I took an extended hiatus from the fandom and why I no longer give out my discord/join group chats anymore. I'm trying to protect my peace after a very bad time that's left some really nasty personal wounds I'm still dealing with.
#my asks#muse lore I guess haha#yeah sorry y'all I had some nasty shit happen in this fandom#so when I get distant I'm not being an ass I just literally cannot#they're a popular author so I'm still terrified of ever publicly saying what happened bc they'll body me

Edgar Blog Takeover Sneak Peek!
Now Playing: Crosseyed and Painless - Talking Heads
For some reason I still think it's a good idea to try and make the recipes I come up with in my dreams. It's not like I have them all the time, but for some reason every time Katy takes me drinking I end up having crazy dreams where I end up making some kind of new meal.
This time it was onion ring nachos, and when I made them in my dream they made a lot of sense, right? I wasn't even surprised by myself in my dream. I was just like "yeah, hey, time to make onion ring nachos like I do all the time". So on a subconscious level I must have found it a viable idea. And then when I woke up I was - well, hungover. Very hungover. We tried to make picklebacks without a recipe so I think I was drunk off Jameson and just...brine. Ugh.
But through the headache I also didn't really think it was a bad idea, you know? People make chili cheese fries. That already exists, I didn't make that up. And I had just gone grocery shopping with Katy so she had actual food in her apartment - plus she had an air fryer. I wish I had an air fryer. I'm the only one that uses her air fryer. I wonder if she'd notice if I stole her air fryer.
Anyways, the recipe seemed simple. Just regular oven nachos with a basic canned chili sauce (I'm not about to, like, brown ground beef. Pull out the cumin? From where? I brought sea salt flakes to Katy's place once when I was making dinner and she acted like I pulled out a dish of caviar. And she wonders why I ask her in advance if she has butter), only you substitute onion rings for tortilla chips.
Cook the onion rings before hand, at least ten minutes longer than what the directions on the bag say because the directions on the bag are wrong most of the time. Then heat up the chili and drizzle it with shredded cheese and whatever toppings you can find in your trash-eating best friend's kitchen. Katy has maybe six different hot sauces, which is totally not excessive for someone who can't remember to keep bread stocked in their place.
When I plated it it seemed real. That's stupid. You know what I mean - it seemed like a meal. I even arranged the onion rings so they were more overlapping to allow a better distribution of chili. I sort of figured this was a fork meal, because even if you char the rings when you broil them with the chili they'll moisten and gain an uneven weight that doesn't make them great for picking up by hand. Other than that, I could see some bullshit food truck selling something like this for too much money.
Eating it was not great. I think the first thing I realized when I ate it was the importance of tortilla chips as a concept. Those motherfuckers are sturdy, with a surface area that actually allows the nacho to exist as a proper experience. Taste wise it was pretty good, slightly sweet from the cooked onion, salty and savory from the chili and hot sauces. But fuck it, I'll say it - the texture was bad. You shouldn't eat a food and only process the taste. I might as well have had it as a drink, it was unnerving.
It would work better if I just dipped the onion rings in the chili, and now I'm upset that I didn't just do that. So stupid.
Katy liked it. I ate about a third of the serving before it started depressing me, but then when I came back after taking a shower she'd taken the plate back to her daybed in the living room and was just sort of...eating seems like the wrong way to put it. Absorbing, maybe. Slurping? Whatever she was doing it was very slug-like and I think she was still probably kind of drunk.
Anyway dreams are dumb and tortilla chips are important. There's your lesson for the day.

🦇⚔ Dhampir Hunter V ⚔🦇
Intros/Profiles Part 2/?: S.C.A.R.E. 'd Straight
[Potential CW for brief descriptions of violence, medical talk. Nothing overly detailed/gory, but just in case]
Inga was a stubborn (at the time) 12 year old. Stories, that's what they were. Tales of beasts and monsters that roamed the night that would either snatch, punish, or harm children, especially the naughty ones. But she wasn't naughty. Or at least, she thought she wasn't. Apparently adults interpret you speaking up for yourself as "mouthing off".
...Anyway...
Schprekenheim had its fair share of creatures. There was this one time there was a knight that was made entirely of birthday presents! But as far as she knew, that one had been defeated quite a while ago. Surely, such a short walk from the library back to her home one night couldn't be entirely eventful, right?
Wrong.
It had happened so fast, but the effects were instant, as was the pain. She was ambushed by a group of what appeared to be vampires: pointy ears, pale skin, fangs...the standards. Only things that were a bit different were the eye colors- red, she did associate with supernatural beasts, but not blue-, as well as the hair colors- primarily red, but some had the stereotypical jet black look. Some even have white hair! She did try fighting back, also protecting her neck as she had been taught to do.
But the creatures laughed at this. They had no desire to suck her blood. They desired something a little more...somatic. And a tad bit emotional.
See, this creatures fed off of pain; the misery and the resulting tears of sadness. So they did what they could to produce it in their victim. In this case, it was ripping the books she had borrowed from the library to shreds and burning them to ashes, physically attacking her...and burning part of her face. For no other reason other then they could. She managed to get away, but obviously not unscathed. Her injuries were treated, but when tried to explain to the librarian and her parents what happened, they dismissed it as her being irresponsible and lying to get out of trouble.
With this injustice, and noticing the ever-creeping-up spike of similar incidents in the area, Inga vowed to seek revenge against these, and any sort of monster, that would harm children.
(...)
It started in a similar manner to Val and her monster hunting. Only difference being, while Val operated alone, Inga quickly gained a partner in her mission. Of course, they almost weren't, as Inga was quick to pin them against a tree and hold a stake to them. But this kid- Andreas, he said his name was- was different. Other than the look of "a little lad who loves berries and cream", he acutally looked...pretty human? Or at least a little more human- the pointy ears, paleness, and fangs (along with a few different shows of power against a swarm of the creatures) kind of gave his true nature away.
That show of "humanness" reared its head when Inga was suddenly ambushed and, as a result, lost quite a bit of blood. Considering they were practically in the middle of nowhere and just...waltzing into a hospital with a badly beat up kid and the vampiric appearance (so one would assume "YOU attacked her! Vampire!! Stake them!!"), Andreas couldn't see conventional medical help...well, helping. Thankfully, though, he knew someone (or rather, two someones) would could help.
(...)
The next thing Inga knew, she was laying in a bed, surrounded by medical equipment...but it wasn't like the ones she had seen when she got her burn treated. Kind of looked like a hodgepodge or some kid's beginning construction project. It was working, though, that's what was important. First one she saw was Andreas, who was fast asleep in a nearby chair. When she saw the door to her room open, she was expecting to see some professional looking adult in a white coat, carrying a clipboard, rattling off all sort of medical jargon. To her surprise, though, a kid about her age walked in. Said his name was Jude, and that he was her "doctor" of sorts. Following behind him was another kid, this one a bit younger and...way more peppy. Said her name was LilliBella (but to call her L.B.!).
With Andreas now awake and her a bit more "with" it, they explained what happened. She was in need of a blood transfusion and Andreas, feeling somewhat responsible for her having gotten ambushed, donated some of his blood. L.B. cheerfully refers to them as "blood brothers", but Inga, initially, isn't as thrilled. Thankful that he was there to help her in her time of need, yes, but...did that mean she was now some sort of creature of the night, too?
Weeell, that's where it gets tricky. No one really knows what sort of effect a blood transfusion with a vampire (or, y'know, mostly vampire) would have on someone who was 100% human. Both Jude and L.B. wanted to keep her nearby to see what sort of effect this would have, if it had any. Inga was initially against the idea and wanted to get back to fighting the monsters that caused her to have to deal with this...but after almost fainting once she tried to get out of bed, that idea went quickly out the window. Intrigued by this "monster hunting" business, Jude and L.B. demanded answers, to which Andreas obliged. Both had experienced some form of injustice from them as well, and wanted in on the fight.
With that, and the recruitment of more members who wished to gain some protection against the uptick in creatures, as well as fight back against them, the Supernatural Children's Association of Reconnaissance and Expulsion (or: S.C.A.R.E) was formed.
-----------------------------------------
Inga Karnstein/"The Queen"
Voice Claim: Alison LaPlaca
Inga is the head of S.C.A.R.E. and runs the organization like a fine-tuned machine....or, at the very least, would like to. No one's been turned into a monster and switched sides, nor has their base been invaded, so there's at least that.
As Schprekinheim's paranormal problem began increasing and outside help was increasingly becoming a desire, she had gotten in contact with the KND, having heard of their work around pre-invasion. When it was suggested they look into Sector ANTAG- given their status- Inga was initially hesitant, especially with recruiting Val; considering her....unique circumstances. She does have her eye on this temporary recruit of sorts, but so far, she seems to trust her. With her priority target level being so high, the smaller amount of potential traitors, the better.
Andreas Dragomir/"The Prince"
Voice Claim: J. Michael Tatum
Perhaps one of S.C.A.R.E.'s most efficient field agents, Andreas is essentially Val's de facto partner, as the two had (initially) clashed during a homework eating weredog swarm.
After the dust had settled, he told her that he’s from the organization that had sent the letter. According to him, S.C.A.R.E. appears to work similar to the KND- albeit with a more supernatural focus. While the two may be fighting for the same cause, there's still a liiiiiittle bit of tension between the two; mainly shown in the form of snappy remarks. It loosens a bit, though, when they discover that they’re both not entirely human (Does he flaunt that extra 25% of vampire over Val? Yeeeeeah, kinda). That extra 25%, though, does come with some drawbacks. Prolonged sun exposure, even with sunscreen, causes him 2nd degree burns and a form of “sun poisoning”. Being a different kind of vampire as well, Andreas does require specific forms of sustenance- in his case, red, sugary substances (juice, slushies, etc)...hangry vampires are a no-go.
Having already been through the vampiric puberty process and having somewhat of a better hold on it, Andreas does show a bit of concern for Val when she starts having her spurts....there's a lot of rage behind them, it seems.
LilliBella "L.B." Althea/"Hex Girl"
Voice Claim: Kamali Minter
With all the doom and gloom that seems to surround S.C.A.R.E., LilliBella is a little beacon of light that seeks to aid others in their fight. She is the organization's resident sorceress that aids in developing potions, enchanted weapons, and providing knowledge on some of the beasts that are roaming through Schprekenheim.
She additionally works alongside the organization's "doctor", Judas Marlowe. While he may have more knowledge in the more visceral aspects of the body and some of the conditions it goes through, LilliBella has a better understanding of the more "supernatural" aspects the can be associated with them. Heck, she helps him out with his and keeps an eye on Inga and...possibly hers? This sort of power is what leads to her danger/priority target level being as high as it is...who knows what can be done if her knowledge and achievements fall into the wrong hands.
Judas "Jude" Marlowe/"Doc"
Voice Claim: James Callis
Alright, so he's not actually a doctor, but....dude's got a sizable amount of knowledge in the field of medicine for someone his age. Just as good, right? Regardless, Jude is the organization's medical officer and seeks to help others- be that injured in battle or just needing to let something off their chest. Part of his determination is associated with trying to understand his biology a bit better- being considered a "half-lycan" and only just now beginning to enter a time where genetics start fighting over what side is more dominant.
As such, he works closely with S.C.A.R.E.'s resident sorceress, LilliBella Althea, who understands the more "supernatural" aspects of certain conditions. He may have a handle on the more visceral aspects of the body, but she has a slightly different insight that aids greatly...she did develop a potion that appears to suppress more animalistic aspects of himself that appear around and on nights with a full moon, after all. Like L.B., it is his knowledge that makes his danger/priority target level what it is.
------
*Jude and L.B. primarily spend their time at the base, but in emergency situations, they do have a similar amount of training/skills that will aid in battle as field agents...hence the double delegation.
#definitely under a read more cuz this got LOOOOOOONG#hoooopefully this all makes some sort of coherent sense? i had a basic framework for the longest time; only just now expanding on it ^^;#and yeeeeah obviously a kid isn't going to have THAT level of medical ability but. suspension of disbelief. KND's a cartoon so.#*waves hands* mAgIc*#next up will be the villains! whether that's just the MAIN villains (for the first 'installment' of sorts)...#... or just a general rogues gallery; i haven't decided yet#secret-sector-antag#secret-sector-antag: Dhampir Hunter V#SSA: DHV#KND#knd ocs#codename knd ocs#codename knd#codename kids next door ocs#codename kids next door#there *are* more than just these four in the group buuut these will be the main peeps#for now at least. one more joins the main lineup buuuut...that's later ;)#as a silly author's note; all of them have at least SOME reference to some horror/fantasy media in their names hehehee#andreas' might be a bit more obscure but...still#lore drop i guess??#mun art

If I had to describe both [in my comics], I would say Hell is like working for a huge corporation that treats you like a number, but your department has a really rowdy party culture to deal with the stress and you are all friends outside of work
While Heaven is a rich high society social network of governors and heiresses and billionaire philanthropists who will pay PLENTY to settle a disagreement in order to keep their names out of the papers, and are quite gracious with doing favors simply so that they can remind you later on that they were so generous, so won't you please consider doing this one small thing in return? thank you~!
#oc lore#worldbuilding#i guess?#it feels silly to call “completely retconning the Christian systems of heaven and hell to just be two kind of weird forms of celestial-#-beauracracy and making no actual mention of the existence of a god“ worldbuilding#but i guess also it's like vaguely the way anime take concepts like the afterlife and make their base worldbuilding like that#if I'm going to be honest#this whole concept first sparked to life as a series of headcanons about Kuroshitsuji#in which demons angels and reapers were essentially three branches of a government#with the same kinds of checks and balances in place#now it's a bit different but it's got a similar idea#but it makes the basic idea make sense if you consider the reapers in black butler#like these are all being run like Businesses#also I do not think there is a god in my universe#just like.... essentially an archangel supreme court#who are the final authority on all matters of legality#the whole system is structured like the court system to me asgahsgga

"Rodimus is a better Prime because it didn't hurt for him to bond with the Matrix while for Optimus it did" headcanon/theory my beloathed.
One day I'm literally gonna snap and make a whole post addressing why what's wrong bc I'm tired of the inaccuracy and tired of ppl not understanding the Point TM of IDW and its version of the Matrix/Primacy and even more tired of people putting down Optimus in favor of Rodimus by essentially arguing that being unworthy means you deserve to be punished/put in pain bc you just weren't good enough to hold the Symbol of Ultimate Authority
#it's wrong on so many levels both in terms of lore and as well as like what the general themes of idw1 are#it's just a validation contest using the matrix as some magical symbol to decide who's the most special#which is ironically something that was a plot point in exrid/OP. specifically how stupid of an idea that is ldskjflksd#ppl revealing that they havent read anything besides mtmte/ll as usual#like half the reason ppl think optimus is a bad prime and rodimus is a good prime is literally bc like#optimus was written by an author who was specifically trying to deconstruct him (sometimes to the point of absurdity)#and rodimus was written by an author who takes a more optimistic/idealistic approach. and is also better at writing#but also like am i seriously the only person who thinks that that argument is fucked up?????#like 'OP felt pain which means he's unworthy/not a real prime/not a true leader'#ok so you think that there's a hierarchy of moral goodness in which anyone who falls short of that Moral Ideal should suffer#as a sign of their unworthiness?? like does that not sound dystopian as hell to any of you?? why would you WANT the matrix to work like tha#even if the theory were true (which it isn't) why would you view the matrix as a good authoritative moral judge of character#if its idea of 'moral judgement' is to inflict pain on anyone who's supposedly not truly good/worthy#wasn't the entire point of the ending of LL (including rodimus being a good leader) that everyone is worth it?#like rodimus literally said 'you ARE damn well good enough' or something like that#so what? everyone else in the universe tries their best and that's enough but somehow when OP suffers it's like#a sign that he's not actually a good prime/leader?? we're really going with the punitive perspective purely for One Guy??#swear to god ppl are projecting their authority issues onto Optimus the way they shit on him for things they would excuse#if any other character did it#Optimus is uniquely deserving of pain/being marked as unworthy bc idk he was a cop once and that offends my delicate sensibilities#what's even funnier is how much harm was inflicted by rodimus as a captain sheerly due to his stupidity or ego but everyone forgives him#i guess bc as long as the matrix likes him that means he's valid no matter what he actually does as a person#WHICH IS SOMETHING IDW ITSELF ARGUED AGAINST BC A LOT OF THE PRIMES THAT WERE CHOSEN BY THE MATRIX#WERE DICKS AND THE FACT THEY COULD WIELD THE MATRIX DIDN'T MAKE THEM GOOD PEOPLE#like oh my god stop using the matrix as an arbiter of moral authority in idw1 it literally goes against the themes of the story#including the themes that are embodied in rodimus himself#idw op love

I finished HOFAS (finally oh my goodness) and honestly .... I'm so glad its over
(a long and ranty post with spoilers fyi)
best parts of hofas and crescent city in general (the bonus chapters were honestly so good):
Nesta and Azriel being badass, seeing more of their powers and fighting
Azriel enjoying club music and heavy metal
Nesta asking Bryce to show them how the phones worked and implying that the IC sat there with the phone for who knows how long trying to figure it tf out
Ember not being scared of Rhys at all and standing up to him, her scolding him for giving Nesta such a hard time, her starting to heal Nesta's mommy issues.
Ember seeing Nesta through the portal and saying "is that one of the princes of Hel??" (lmao I laughed so hard tbh)
Any scene at all that involved Ruhn. Specifically Ruhn and Lidia
RUHN AND LIDIA'S BONUS CHAPTER!!!! Ruhn being a little soft boy crying and just being so in love ugh
Lidia's sons being impressed by Ruhn and making sure he would take care of their mom
Lidia threatening to shoot Ruhn in the head if he got in the way of her saving her sons (tbh, facts)
the rest of that book was ..... not good I fear 😬
bc I'm sorry, you're telling me that she opened a black hole to eat another black hole; Hunt was able to stand at the edge of it without getting sucked in, then gets into a mechsuit and can just jump in and save her. Then all their friends use their magic and love to keep the portal to the black hole open while Hunt carries Bryce out of it; Bryce dies but oh look at that, Hypaxia showed up out of nowhere and used her extra cool magic powers as the new Head of House of Flame and Shadow to pull the ol' switcheroo and trade Bryce's soul (somehow) for Jesiba's and then poof Bryce is alive again and cracking her chessy, not funny jokes immediately when everyone is literally sobbing around her bc she was dead????? hello ???
and when Tharion showed up with the water and Hunt's lightning is apparently ineffective because of the water, but the HOSAB he was afraid to use his lightning in the water because it would have fried everyone that was in it????
and Bryce ditches Azriel and Nesta to fight the wyrm and then is confused why they're mad at her and don't trust her fr?? she doesn't explain anything to them and is confused when they figure out the power she has and that she has the horn tattooed in her back and want to bring her to Rhys to talk?? she lets a creepy Asteri woman out of her 15000 year old tomb to ask her questions and is then mad when Nesta kills her bc she wanted to ask more questions?!?! she steals the Starsword from Azriel and is confused when they draw their weapons on her too?! She steals Truth-Teller and then opens a portal back to her own world and is like "oops, hope they'll forgive me! teehee!" ?!?!?!?!?! and then has the audacity to assume that Nesta will just give her the damn mask of death because she asked nicely!??! shit, she's lucky she got Nesta when she was alone and used her parents as bargaining chips to somebody with mommy and daddy issues bc anyone else would have either killed her or told her to fuck off.
we had like 8 really uncomfy and not good sex scenes between Bryce and Hunt where their magic was exploding and combining all over the place and it lasted like 4 seconds, but they're both just like "wow this is the best sex that has ever sexed!! we're so cool and special and anyone else who has sex is icky and gross!!" 😬
we could have taken away half of their scenes and replaced them with more detail on much more interesting characters such as Ruhn, Lidia, Ithan, Tharion, etc etc.
Especially more Ruhn and Lidia bc they were so damn cute and the only emotional investment I had in this entire series. I am a crier when it comes to books. Like, I sobbed during a lot of the emotional scenes in both TOG and ACOTAR. The only time I cried at all during the entire CC series was when Ruhn is trying to sacrifice himself to Pollux to save Lidia's sons and mind speaks to her that he loves her and that his soul fell in love with her and that his soul will find her in the next life. Like hello?? that's adorable and heart-wrenching and we deserved more of them!!!
And like....
Bryce honestly just wasn't it. She was so impulsive, so childish, so sassy and cocky and we didn't get enough background on her at any point in the series for it to make sense. We didn't get to see times where her sassiness and cockiness were challenged or proved useful to her in any way, we didn't get to see any backstory that made it make sense why she built up that exterior to protect her vulnerability. She does impulsive things and endangers the people around her, that she cares about the most, and then gets confused or upset when they aren't happy about it. She goes around acting like she's smarter than everyone else, is entitled to what she wants, and then gets irritated if people try to challenge her or don't want to go along with what she's asking.
I have really liked all of sjm's other female characters, Nesta and Aelin included, but Bryce just... wasn't it.
Nesta is a good comparison too bc I went back and forth on her as a character, then read ACOSF and didn't like her at all for the first 1/3 to half of the book, then realized that I was the problem and that she was coping with things in her own way and it wasn't my place to determine how someone can heal from their traumas, which lead to me really liking her as a character and respecting the strength she has.
Aelin I liked the entire time, but she also had a reputation to back up her behavior and personality, she had a backstory that we learned about that explained why she came off as impulsive and didn't share her plan with the people around her, she proved over and over again how badass she was, so when she was cocky it just made sense.
We didn't get any of those things with Bryce which made it really difficult to relate to her and not find her kind of annoying the majority of the time.
Also...
I never want to read the word "alphahole" ever again.
I never want to read a character unironically referring to themselves as the "Super Powerful and Special Magic Starborn Princess".
I'm just... so glad its over.
#ruhn danaan carried the series#crescent city spoilers#cc hofas#house of flame and shadow#hofas spoilers#hofas#hofas rant#anti bryce quinlan#anti crescent city#sorry but i just didn't like it that much tbh#the day & night dynamic was the best part of the entire series#azriel and nesta carried the series with ruhn#i read it for the lore#rant review#sjm could have used better editors for this series overall#sjm just please don't fuck up the next ACOTAR book i stg#I have never wanted to rewrite a series for an author more than this one bc its just... so bad#maasverse lore was kinda cool though I guess#but clearly the better characters stayed in their own worlds and the ones who went to Midgard had something wrong with them#and these are just my issues with the hofas... i didn't even complain about my issues with hoeab and hosab... oof

At this point like 40% of what i like about the owl house is just shit i made up in my head lmao
#shut up pandora#granted this is a relatively small percentage!#only 50% of what i like about fucking UNDERTALE is the game the rest is my complex network of lore hcs for all the characters#that toby fox then broke my heart by not adhering to 100% in deltarune (love deltarune tho)#actual homestuck makes up 40% of what i like about homestuck the rest is fandom shenanigans and the hypothetical act 6 where it was good#the sequel trilogy to ace attorney too i like it for the hypothetical games that could have been made if the writers were competent#if somethings generally well written enough that the fandom agrees on the themes intended by the author#well it doesnt generate a big enough fandom does it#you gotta rip each other to shreds over slight variations in your interpretatipn bc the author wasnt clear enough#or the author just made bad choices in writing lmao#undertale tho is mostly just the first one the game is too small for any narrative decisions to be truly controversial i think#but anyway everyone has a bit of flanderization they just cant STAND#and some plotpoints they fucking HATED and everyone has different points which is why they fight so much#my intolerance for flanderization is just for the characters ppl flanderize the most#and the plotpoints in toh that i hate happen to be the ones most are ok with or like#bc i am a Contrarian who gets angry when things dpnt go 100% the way i think it ought to i guess#this is to say#everyones opinion of toh is wrong except mine (she says mischaracterizing everyone who isnt her blorbo to the moon and back)

I thing she has to report what society wants to 'hear'... The Bridgerton's are a prestigious and well-known family in society and whoever of them is surching for a spouse in the season becames center of attention so she kind of have to report about them and their shennanigans. Same way she has to report about herself so it's not suspicious. What changes is the way she reports about them like in the books Sophie is a huge Whistledown fan and when she meets Ben she's like "omg Whistledown may never had a full conversation with this man cause she never meantioned how smart he is, she just say he's tall" at the same time she is always calling Colin 'charming'.
Did Pen really choose to write so much about the Bridgertons in Whistledown or did she kind of have to constantly write about them because they’re the messiest bitches in the ton?
#bridgerton#book lore i guess#lady whistledown#bridgerton family#penelope featherington#there's also that time she says 'this author knows violet's age but won't tell you
