I think a lot less people would have misunderstood Papyrus as being ignorant/naive if his funny scenes weren't followed up by his brother taking a more serious tone to ask us to be nice to him. It frames Papyrus's shenanigans as less of a deliberate joke and more of a thing he simply can't help.

We know that Papyrus is not stupid, of course, so why does he act this way? Why does he act like Papyrus needs him to go behind his back?

(he says this in response to us saying papyrus isn't cool, but otherwise a funny thing to say cuz Papyrus uses a fair amount of sarcasm, which other characters don't seem to get he's doing, and if you don't get that someone is being sarcastic you might end up thinking they're stupid)

Maybe he's doing this "for" Papyrus because Papyrus pushes him to do stuff, so he feels like he needs to do something he can?

That said, weird how he expects us to also find it weird that Papyrus is being told flattery

it's interesting that despite all being the same age you can see a clear division of younger and older siblings within the Hargreeves siblings.

With five it's more obvious despite being mentally far older than all of them he looks like a child he looks like their much younger brother did when they lost him and so they treated him as such. But you can see that level out now to they still treat him like a younger brother but give him space to be an adult.

But for the other siblings that all remain the same age it's a nice little look into how parentification of the higher numbers and the wombification of the lowers ones by Hargreeves insane parenting methods created an artificial sibling age hierarchy amongst children of the same age.

Which is also why ben doesn't fit. He was number 6 to them but he was number 2 in his own family. They want to baby him but he is used to being looked to as an elder. it's also why him and Diego seem to clash the most can't be two number twos with complexes about being number two in the family it fucks the whole shit up

super duper messy desin refs for these two in both parkourciv and pvpciv. Probably will change in the future but I liked thinking about it haha

I put a good bit of thought into them but I'll just put my rambles down here

uguuhguh I like the idea that in parkbo has a cropped hoody for better movement and a longer headband cuz if flows better in movement but Pvpbo has shorter sleeves for better arm movement and a shorter head band. I saw ppl hc Evbo using the headband for like extra bandages/giving it to tabi to bandage up a wound so I thought it'd be cool. Plus its cute, pvpbo is my sad wet dog.

I just think evbo would be very practical with his clothing (kinda opposite of seawatt) and each civ he has different needs with it, it's kinda why pvpbo's pants are baggier cuz in parkour civ it would make parkouring harder. I think if i did like an actual finished piece there would be more trinkets on the both of them, evbo seems to be the kinda guy that holds onto everything important to him on his body yk?

Seawatt does definitely value aesthetics more, esp in parkour civ. Cause legally if you're a master you have to be show off how cool you are. Plus I wanted to make his cloak mimic a wing a bit, I think its fun symbolism to only have the look of one wing & it would look cool in action.

Bowatt get's awesome archery gloves because THEY LOOK COOL and he's a bow :3 I think he keeps his cloak more closed too since his ass is probably sneaking around and everything. Sorry there isn't much thought I just get blown away by the beautiful idea of seawatt in pvpciv
