Meeting you was a dream Nezha could never want to forget. It was one of his life's greatest mistakes, and yet for once in his life, it was one he held no regrets for. Not one bit, when the feelings he held for you were so pure and filled with nothing but the utmost passion. To him, you meant the world, and perhaps more.

“Nezha, is it?” Soft hands run through his hair, undoing the messy braids he'd struggled to tie just this morning. “An interesting name for a god like him.”

“Does it matter?” Above him, his father crosses his arm. “Can you heal him, or not?”

The soft voice sighs melancholy. It reminds him of a lullaby, sung to him by a distant voice during a thunderstorm. The hands that thread through his hair still, and the warmth spreads through his body. Gentle fingers press into his scalp, massaging the tender skin.

Then, there is silence.

“That's it?” Li Jing's bitter voice breaks the silence. “That's all?”

“I must remind you, my lord, that this humble servant is not as powerful as her elders.” The hands in his hair gently rub a pattern. “And she has done her best for this lotus prince. All that remains now is for him to rest and allow his body to heal on its own.”

He feels fine, though. Whatever this stranger had done, his body has never felt more alive. It was opposite feeling he had felt before, when Taiyi had restored him.

His father ‘tsks’ angrily. “He'll be fine. He's not some child to rest at every interval.”

He anticipates whoever the stranger is to agree with him.

“Li Jing. You are correct that this is no child, but he is, theoretically, your son. And unless you imply your wife has made you wear a green hat, there is nothing in this world that can change the shared blood you two will have even until death. Have some sympathy, won't you?”

Ah. This was a strange feeling, having someone stand up to that prick of a father he had. Something warm fills his chest at the thought.

It's only when a door slams shut that Nezha dares to open his eyes. A kind woman is looking down at him, with nothing but a smile on her lips.

“Hello, Nezha.” You spoke his name so kindly, filled nothing but gentleness. “I'm glad you're awake. How are you feeling?”

A goddess. No, something else indeed.

Nezha had zero qualms dedicating his life's purpose to you. It's not like he had much to do anyway, and the Jade Emperor did not seem to mind his attachment to you so long as he did his duties. Li Jing complained often, and for all Nezha knew, most definitely still did, about this vulnerability he showed the goddess that healed him, but the Lotus Prince found that he did not give one fuck. Why should he care if his father had a stick up his ass about his relationship with the goddess that healed him? Lady (Name) held no complaints towards his presence, and thus, any other complaints from outsiders were ignored.

And you truly had nothing against Nezha's presence at your side. Since the day he had found himself lying on your lap, he seemed to hold some form of attachment and loyalty towards you. You put it off as his attempt at being grateful, even though you really didn't mind. Helping people was always one of the joys you held ever so dearly in your immortal life. Nezha really didn't need to express his gratefulness…

Though his company was nothing short of welcoming. The Lotus Prince, for all his grumpy attitude and sulky expressions, was a dear to be around, and you quite liked how his expression would always turn so adorably pink when you compliment his feats. One of your favorite pastimes with him was styling his hair, and tying colorful ribbons in them for the funs of it.

A few gods and immortals were surprised at the sight, but soon enough they learnt it was best not to ask. Less questions meant less injuries, since a certain prince did not like it when people swooned over your kindness.

You were pretty sure that was why so many patients senses a cold aura every visit, come to think of it. But maybe it was just your imagination and not the lotus prince glaring from the window.

Speaking of which, how did he managed to climb so high??

“Sun Wukong, is it?” You thanked Nezha for the tray that he offered you, your favorite blend of tea―a gift from Nezha's older brother, Jinzha―already made and poured into the fancy porcelain cups you favored so much. The tray was set down on the small table between yourself and your guests, and you offered a cup to each. “And your loyal protege, MK?”

The boy wearing the red bandanna nodded quickly, a noticeable blush on his cheeks. You put it off as excitement, since the moment he'd entered the celestial realm, he'd been gushing about the beauty of the place, top to bottom and back again. His mentor wasn't half as excited, grabbing him by the collar to stop him from running off to who knows where while he sipped on a cup. 

“I'm surprised you haven't heard of me,” Sun Wukong remarked, raising a brow at you. “You a new god or something?” When you nodded in confirmation, he blinked. “Ah, that explains it. Pretty sure I would've recognized a pretty face like yours.”

Next to you, Nezha's aura radiated annoyance. Maybe it was just your imagination, but you swore you could feel the god and monkey exchanging heated glares.

Weird.

“You flatter this servant too much,” you answered humbly and smiled. “But it is true that this is the first time I've even heard of you, Sun Wukong.”

“Ah? How old even are you?” MK questioned curiously.

“25 when she first achieved enlightenment. 457 years in mortal terms.” This time, Nezha was the one who spoke. You flashed him a grateful smile―because sadly, you truly kept no track of these things, not when it felt so pointless―but Wukong exchanged a weird look with his protege, especially when Nezha gave him a stink eye. “And you should know better than to ask a lady her age. It's disrespectful.”

“Don't be mean, he meant no harm―” You chided Nezha, gently patting his face. He leaned into your touch with a pleasant smile, and you shook your head at the sweet gesture. “And yes, I've lived long, but not as long as the Prince or Sun Wukong has. I'm afraid there are still many things I am duly unaware of.”

Sun Wukong snickered. “Some more than others, aye, Nezha?”

In response, a golden brick was thrown at the monkey's face. It hit him square on the face, and you gasped as Sun Wukong fell over, holding his face painfully. 

“Nezha!” You scolded the lotus prince and gather your robes to stand and examine the fallen Sage. Aside from the red spot on his forehead, he seemed fine, but still whined about the pain he was in. You glanced at Nezha's pouting expression. “That was not very polite! Don't do that again, understood?”

Nezha relented. “Yes, Lady (Name).” Even when angry she's still as beautiful as the morning sun.

Sun Wukong peeked an eye open. He caught the Lotus Prince's gaze from his position on your lap, and while you focused on soothing his pain, he winked.

Let's just say all hell broke loose after that, and Nezha and Sun Wukong owed you a new palace.

“Nyahaha.”

so! it's been a year since i put never satisfied on hiatus, and 9 years since i started posting it, and rather than make you read everything if all you want to know is "when's it coming back?" the answer is still: don't know! but the answer has also shifted closer to "it isn't" the longer i've spent on break, and i think it's worth being up front about that.

i talked about it a little here a few weeks ago, but the long and short of it is that between taking on better paying work, writing better stories, and looking back at what i'd already done for never satisfied... i just don't think i want to continue it? the year off has been incredibly good for my mental health, and i can't see myself wanting to go back after the two-three years still ahead of me on my current project. that's not to say i never want to return to the characters or the concept, but if i did, i imagine it would be with something completely new, in a different form. after all, i started this comic when i was 21 years old, a lesbian, and a sophomore in college. i am now just shy of 30, a bi man, and overall a completely different person than i was, back when i was writing without a plan and putting all of my insecurities into the comic--insecurities i don't identify with anymore. lord i'm closer to rothart's age than i am to lucy's. hate that

anyway. you have all been extraordinarily kind for following never satisfied for as long as you have, for supporting it as much as you have, and being as patient as you have. whatever form never satisfied takes in the future (god willing, with a more cohesive story structure and A PLAN FOR THE ENDING, WHICH BY THE WAY I NEVER, EVER HAD) i hope to see you there!

in the meantime, as an update on where i'm at with the thing that made me stop working on NS: i finished it! all the pages for Hunger's Bite (if you remember it with a different title: no you don't) have been turned in and now it's just revisions and covers and then........ waiting a year until it can come out. because that's how it is in traditionally published graphic novels! nothing releases for a full year after you finished it! and you're even getting it earlier than was originally planned, because i'm a creature and finished it like three months ahead of schedule. i've also already started thumbnailing the sequel book which i can't talk about whatsoever and will now be working on that for the next two years and then HOPEFULLY the first book will have done well enough that i can sell a third! so you better buy it when it comes out next february!!!!!!

to ease you all into it, i wanted to do a little crossover to introduce the main characters. we have emery, whose design is fully and unintentionally just Seiji Again down to his color palette (but seiji would bully him if they met. like so hard. he's a wimp). then we have neeta, a girl who dreams of travel and cares deeply about worker's rights, and wick, a vampire agent investigating the mysterious and sinister new owner of the 1910s ocean liner emery and neeta call home. he's also gay. but sorry lucy, you aren't his type. you're not mean enough.

the best place to keep up with me these days is probably here, as this first book gets closer to release, i will probably be posting about it a lot. and i will certainly post about it here when there's an official release date and cover reveal! i hope you'll go read it. i really think if you liked never satisfied and its themes, you'll like hunger's bite!

Neinov whistled flippantly, his gloved hands breached through the screen. But His face was still smushed against it. Rabid eyes wide with glee staring at you obsessively. His jagged teeth grinning widely at you. That motherfucker even threw a cheesy wink your way. As if this home invasion was a normal thing.

“Saving me? What are you even talking about?! This can’t be real it’s gotta be a prank!”

You’d sputter, trying to make yourself feel good with a white lie. but you knew better, those goosebumps upon your arm told you that you weren’t dreaming.

This felt to real to be a dream. So you scrambled to do something—anything. But did you want to risk getting snatched up by the now free roaming hands. Coming from the tv just to pull the plug? Or maybe breaking the screen would be better? The question is how? You didn’t have a damned hammer or brick on hand.

You didn’t take your father seriously when he warned you to stay away from tv screens. Especially during certain times at night.

You always thought it was some kind of boogeyman type scare tactic so you’d focus on school rather than goofing off online. But now you were at a loss, you were home alone, with a thing calling you its partner in crime.

All this overthinking wasn’t good for your anxiety. You weren’t the type to do well under pressure anyways so the best option that your body decided upon was to flee.

But in hindsight, you did recognize the Toon’s voice it sounded so familiar yet so distant from time. It carried a heavy twang like in those old 90s cartoons. However, seeing you try to escape the voice turned deranged.

“Ah aha oh You silly goose! Where the f*#% do you think you’re going? And my gosh how is this stupid censor not removed yet?!”

The toon’s colorful curses were censored with a bleeps and dolphin noises, as you were rendered immobile.

“I found you… All these years I’ve spent searching for you like a pin inna haystack. And now you’re right in front of me!”

Struggling, You desperately pulled and pulled only to remain where you once were.

“Hey I’m saving you right now, so you should be happy! And jump into my arms greetin me with a big ole a hug and a smooch! Cuz I’m your hero baby!”

Looking down that same gloved hand big enough to encompass your waist. Had a vice grip on your ankle, it tightened and with a sharp yank, you collapsed to the ground.

“Oh I get it you wanna get all glammed up for ya boy. But Yknow you don’t need any makeup, I like ya just the way you are babycakes!”

You started getting rug burn from being dragged across the carpet. By his noodle arms that acted like a sticky hand rope.

“So there’s no need to be shy! After all I’m bringing you back home! Where you belong.”

You were scratching, clawing with all your might to stay tethered to the floor. Neinov, merely found you to be playing hard to get. As he laughed in a bubbly manner, licking his lips as he finally pushed his head through the screen’s threshold. To be in the same space as his precious partner.

“Listen I know we’ve been separated for far too long huh? But Don’t worry! I’ll make you remember all the fun times we spent together just like the good ole days!”

Edwin and Charles (and later Crystal) are functionally immortal and running a magical museum. I would probably die, but I would absolutely go there.

Hawks has you started right away, and you’re thankful for it. Time spent idle is time to dwell, even time spent with Shouto in Fuyumi’s room catching up with her stock of mangas does not occupy your mind enough to soften the agony.

So here you are, on a roundabout train route (cause who knows when the direct route is going to get restored) across town to your new agency at 5 in the morning. You’ll need to find a new apartment soon, commuting like this everyday will be time consuming, not to mention hellish with how much it allows you to steep in your thoughts. On top of that, Shouto is helping Rei bring his Dad home this morning, and even though the man will be unconscious, you’re not too keen on existing in the same space as him.

You and Endeavor share a mutual disdain towards each other. The whole time you grew up with Shouto and around the Todorokis, he didn’t speak more than a handful of words to you, only pinning you with a hateful glare whenever he called your friend away. Once severe wounds started showing up on Shouto and he started becoming defiant, you two would start coming up with schemes to get him out of training, or simply sneak away on days he didn’t particularly feel like dealing with his Dad.

And after you found out you also got into UA, your cousin mysteriously got a once in a lifetime job offer in another city, and you had to move away the week before school started, your dream of taking part in the most prestigious hero course crushed. Surprise surprise, you found out later that it was Endeavor who pulled some strings to relocate her, but there was nothing you could do at that point.

As soon as you became independent, you returned to your hometown to find the man had mellowed out a bit. But still, the bastard never offered an apology.

And you’re not about to spend any significant amount of time around him, no thanks.

You open up the rental app on your phone to start an apartment search around Hawks’ agency, and your eyes pop out of their socket.

You’re only one step deep in the door before a feather snatches your bag away and another swoops you backwards and up into the air by your tool belt. You catch a glimpse of Touya two-finger saluting you from one of the upper floor windows on your way up to Hawks, who’s already on the move.

“Morning!” He chirps, looking five coffees deep already at 8AM. “My staff’s gonna handle your paperwork, you’re with me today, hope you don’t mind.”

“Are you kidding?” You flip over and speed up to catch up with him. “I’d rather be out here than sifting through 500 pages of jargon.”

“You’re speaking my language.” He calls the feathers back to his gliding wings now that you’re flying on your own. “Didn’t think you would call back so soon.”

In the whipping winds, you only mutter a barely audible ‘yup’ that tells Hawks everything he needs to know. He slows down to hand you an earpiece.

“If it helps, your old place has terrible PTO policies.” His voice crackles on comms.

“Hey!” You snort. “They were practically raised by Eraserhead, have you seen the man? How can they possibly know anything about time off?”

Hawks full-belly laughs at this, the echoes of his voice in the wind and the sound from your earpiece reverberate in a way that is kind of…foreign.

Right. You’re not with your friends anymore. Mina is not cackling on comms at something Toru said. Denki and Kiri are not talking over each other. Kyoka is not using the wrong channel to flirt with Momo. The one zooming in front of you is not Shouto, Izuku, or Tokoyami.

Or Katsuki.

A page has been turned, yet you’re still wedged in between chapters like a bookmark.

“Trouble’s ahead.” A voice cuts through your gloom. “Robbery on 35th.”

“Put me to work, bossman.” You straighten up, eager to put your inner turmoil on the backburner.

From this point on, you’re truly going it alone.

“You are not going it alone.”

Shouto looks up from his spot at the conference table, where you found him after coming back from patrol with Hawks. You had been led here to finish signing some papers, and you opened the door to Shouto sitting in front of his own contract. He reminded you that ‘I did say I would see you later’, as if that was enough information. So here you are, arguing about how a decision as important as an agency switch should not be made on a whim.

“You can drop the papers off by my desk when you’re done.” Hawks’ personal assistant gives you both a polite smile before making her exit, closing the conference room door behind her.

Trying to ignore the fact that you just made an awkward first impression on the lovely lady, you turn back to Shouto.

“What about your friends?”

“They’ve gone on without me for five years. I doubt my absence will make an impact.”

There’s a tick of something adjacent to sadness in his statement. It’s still spoken as evenly as ever, but it’s void of his usual nonchalance. You suddenly realize, that this is the first time in the past week he lets shown - albeit through a tiny glimpse - that he is not as unaffected by the whole situation as you thought he might be.

Shouto too was misplaced in time. He too is now a jagged piece in the puzzle. In one way or another, you two have each other to commiserate. 

That is until your pursuit of abandoning everything, where you’ve accidentally abandoned him as well.

Your argument dissipates into thin air.

“Do you think we’d ever catch up?” You take a seat next to your two-toned friend.

“I don’t think we need to.” Shouto pens his signature at the bottom of a page, then turns to you. “I’d rather focus on what’s right in front of me.”

You blow air through your lips, completely missing the hint of fondness in his phrase. “You’re probably right, things will get very tense very soon.”

Grabbing a pen nearby, you move to look through your own paperwork, just as a loud knock comes through the…windows? On the 8th floor?

You both look up to see Touya slap a piece of paper onto the glass before getting promptly yoinked away by Hawks. It says in obnoxiously large letters ‘5000 yens. On my desk. Tomorrow. Loser.’

Shouto looks back at you.

“You are very prone to being blackmailed.”

* * * * *

You had managed to explain it was a bet that you didn’t agree to take part in, instead of a blackmail, before Shouto dozed off like he always does on train rides.

You haven’t taken a train with Sho since middle school, so this is extremely nostalgic. You two would always start watching some show or video on his phone with shared earbuds, then he would slip right into a coma half way through, earbud still blaring.

Except now he is a head taller and when he tips over in your direction, his cheek would knock painfully against the top of your noggin.

“You got shorter.” He mumbles groggily, hand reaching for the hood of your hoodie and flipping it over your head.

“Maybe I lost some particles getting put back.” You snort, watching him put up his own hood. “Or maybe it’s your Dad’s genes finally kicking in.”

“That would not be good news for doorways.” He resettles on your head, now that it’s properly cushioned. “Speaking of my Dad, are you okay with him being there?”

“Sho, it’s his house.” You remind him. “Plus, he’s not exactly awake to stare me down or kick me out.”

“Still. He doesn’t inspire comfort.” He muses, perhaps more to himself than to you.

You shrug, and Shouto goes quiet for a while. For a moment you thought he'd fallen back asleep, but then you hear him suck in a breath and speak up again.

“If we can’t find our own apartment, would you like to split one with me?”

You want to turn to look at his face, but his cheek stays steadfast on your head.

You’ve never really co-inhabited with anyone before, except for your cousin. When you got an apartment, despite Katsuki staying over pretty regularly, it was still your own space. You used to prefer it like that. But now after everything, you feel like loneliness would consume you whole at any moment.

Moving in with your best friend doesn’t sound bad at all.

“Only if we keep the thermostat at a reasonable temperature.”

You swear you could feel him smile through layers of hair and fabrics.

“Deal.”

You were a chaotic being that has been alive for a long time and so you know all sorts of things especially cause of your powers. You weren’t originally from this universe/time as after you were defeated from being tricked by sixer’s twin brother.

(You didn’t mention if the reader was apart of their world or not and since you mentioned gravity falls I assumed that means the reader stays a dream demon and so I came up with the idea of having the two fandoms be kinda separate as you can see so hope that’s alright!.)

You like to make deals with people who were gullible to fall for them especially to entertain you while you search for xie lian after losing him at some point, you also used those deals to try and find him but ended up with nothing as xie lian’s luck helped in not letting you find him surprisingly.

Finally you had found him after 800 years of searching and gaining information, you also noticed what seems to be a familiar person and after reading his mind you found out he was the little kid you always saw around xie lian back in the day.

After a few adventures you three married and began a poly-relationship, that still didn’t stop you from making deals with unsuspecting humans, gods, and ghosts though you did have to dial it back as xie lian wants to make sure you don’t get in trouble and such. You told them about the gravity falls and weirdmagadon that happened which had xie lian scold you especially after learning that you gave a child a screaming head as a joke.

When you three decide to go further in the relationship you’re usually the one being a brat that needs to be tamed. You’d think you’d be tamed more by hua cheng but no it was xie lian who was the one that tame you anytime you three decided to have a little fun.

Though you three sometime team up with one another on different occasions and tease and love the one that was being the bottom that time, though you all give each other equal amounts of attention whether that be teasing or love it doesn’t matter as you all get the same treatment.

Fate is quite strange, quite like the beings that Kim Dokja had met. Still, despite all odds, they became friends. Or not. It is hard to describe their relationship.

Akivili just barged his way in for reasons unknown and treated him like a child despite Akivili being smaller than he was and he is pretty sure that he's older than Akivili anyway, with eternity and all.

Akivili refuted that he's definitely older and his warm golden eyes were filled with wisdom that's not fitting his age.

As for Danny, his were more curiousity in nature. He had intruded the train because he saw a train travelling in space and into different worldlines.

And he's definitely not a kid. Well, he used to and KDJ can see and felt various reasons why he is the same as they both.

Yep, totally a normal group here with 2 young adults and a teen and definitely not a trio whose age span is infinite

Nevertheless, it is nice to have companions once again.

Somehow, the two of them stayed in that train of his, travelling from worldline to another and KDJ had come to read another story.

A place where Akivili had came from and unknowingly, KDJ had stuck around that place for so long along with Danny to the point that his train had converted into the first Astral Express for the Nameless, guided by Akivili the Trailblaze, to be made a home and travel to everywhere.

Even if they are a common sight in the astral express, not many know their name nor see their true face, only recalling a a face blurred as though covered by a fog and that creepy looking kid that does not look like a person at all.

In fact, even Aeons themselves failed to distinguish their appearance nor did they ever recognized that they arent humans nor Aeons but something else similar (but powerful)

One day, the group slowly fell apart starting with the explosion of the first Astral Express.

Kim dokja was nowhere to be found.

Jannik couldn’t remember when exactly it had become routine—the way you’d swing by his apartment when you were in Monaco, or how he’d end up at yours, lounging on your mismatched sofa while you made some elaborate cheese concoction. It was so natural now, these moments of quiet amidst your otherwise chaotic lives.

You’d both become fixtures in each other’s schedules, though neither of you dared to acknowledge the subtext of your growing connection. Months had passed since you'd moved to Monaco and the two of you had yet to have another moment like the one at your housewarming. It wasn't like there weren't opportunities–-you met up every time you were both home, without fail. You both filled the space with everything and nothing; talk about work, family, childhood dreams, and the challenges of being in the public eye. At first you were both at the mercy of the other, waiting to take the bait at even the hint of a move, but at some point it started to feel too far gone. Throughout the weekend, even in the chaos of the paddock, you exchanged fleeting glances and shared small moments—a wink when he caught your eyes after you'd yelled instructions into the radio, a grin when you passed him during a break. Having him around when your adrenaline was already peaked was not helpful in bottling your tension, another simple reminder to you both that there was something there building between you.

After his win, he caught your eye as he wiped the sweat from his face and walked to his team, and the faint smile he gave you sent your heart racing faster than any point you'd witnessed. Later, when you met him outside the locker room, you couldn’t help but tease him.

“You're pretty good at this tennis thing,” you said, grinning.

“Thanks,” he replied, his tone light but his eyes warm. “Coming from you, that means a lot.”

The feelings between you grew with each instance of contact, but your busy schedules kept pulling you in different directions. Those moments of support built a rhythm between you—a constant push and pull of connection and restraint. Still, the bond remained—steady, unspoken, and undeniable.

It was during one of your usual phone calls, as you coordinated another meetup, that you finally broke the fourth wall.

“What if this time it’s as a date?” you bit out, forcing the words before you could second-guess them.

There was a pause on the other end, and for a moment, you feared you’d overstepped. Then his voice came through, soft and laced with a smile.

“I’d like that. A lot.”

A few months passed, fitting in dates where you could. The new relationship suited you both. The media picked up on Jannik’s improved, cheerful demeanor, but no one connected the dots. You found joy in the small things—late-night dinners, stolen weekends, the way he could make you laugh until your stomach hurt. It was still casual and effortless, but increasingly harder to deny just how deep your feelings ran.

Then came the race that shook the world.

Williams stunned everyone with a P1 and P2 finish that no one saw coming, thanks in large part to your daring strategy. The celebrations were explosive. The damage from qualifying positions you'd managed to recover on race day earned you the invite onto the podium as the team's representative. You were all but hoisted over by your team, cheers amplifying tenfold when your drivers doused you in champagne while you were all overwhelmed with emotion. Jannik watched from below, clapping and smiling so hard his cheeks hurt. He wanted to congratulate you properly, but the chaos of the celebration had whisked you away.

Later, as the celebrations carried on, you found yourself swept up in the chaos—cheering, laughing, toasting to the collective victory. But as the night wound down your thoughts drifted to Jannik, as they so often did. In your tipsy, triumphant state, you stumbled to his hotel room.

When he opened the door, his initial softness quickly gave way to amusement. “There's the champion,” he said, stepping aside to let you in, "You seem… happy,

“Happy doesn’t even cover it,” you said, kicking off your shoes and flopping onto his bed. “We actually did it, Jannik. You should’ve seen it, Jannik. It was unreal.”

“I did see it,” he said, chuckling as he sat beside you. “You're incredible. It's very, very special to watch.”

His words brought tears to your eyes, and you laughed through the emotion. “I’ve been crying all night,” you admitted, wiping at your cheeks. “I’m just… so happy. And now I’m crying again because... we won, and also you're here, and also I’m in love with you.”

You continued on but those words hung in the air, and Jannik froze, his eyes wide. You weren't in the state to notice his shock and, as you arrived at the end of your ramble, your voice softened and your breathing leveled out.

“Thank you for being here. It means more than you know.”

Before he could respond, you’d drifted off to sleep, your cheek pressed to the sheets and your free arm draped over his lap. He sighed, his mind racing as he carefully moved you up the bed. He removed your makeup and twisted up your hair, and as he draped a blanket over you he felt like his heart felt like it might burst.

The next morning, you woke to find him sitting on the edge of the bed, already watching at you with this tenderness that made your breath catch.

“Good morning,” you said groggily.

“How are you feeling?” he asked, shifting to face you properly.

“Like I got hit by a champagne truck,” you said, rubbing your temples.

He hummed and leaned over to to kiss the spot you massaged, and as he pulled away he rushed out an “I’m in love with you too.”

You blinked at the abrupt delivery. “What?”

His face fell slightly. “You don’t remember?”

You laughed, reaching out to pull him back down. “No, no I do, I'm sorry. Of course I remember.”

Relief flooded his features, and he let out a breathless laugh into your lips. “You’re impossible,” he said after, pulling you into a hug.

“But you already knew that before you got mixed up in this.” you teased, resting his head against your chest.

And neither of you couldn't have asked for better end to the most rewarding weekend.

"You smell like champagne still." He muffled out after a bit of silence.

"Is it sticky?" you asked noncommittally.

"Well, no."

"Okay, then don't ruin the moment."

Ex: Due to some cosmic glitch, Leo connects with LS Donnie instead of EDHPMW (tricky acronym lol) Donnie. Confusion ensues.

LS Donnie: I'll do you one better, WHO is Donnie?

- Later, in a different universe -

Donatello. It was a name that felt as if it had been stuck on the tip of his tongue the second Carol had brought up naming them. He wasn’t sure why it felt so right, or where the warm feeling came from- like a dream long forgotten, but it was the perfect name. Raph, the snapping turtle, had insisted that he was their brother and this name was the second piece of evidence that pointed towards that possibility. The first one, of course, was him being a mutant turtle. 

He still wasn’t sure he could trust the two strangers- especially the other one… Heishi. He had been nothing but a menace since he arrived. It seemed he was trying to get them in trouble. Currently, the slider was desperately trying to convince his brother- Michelangelo- to further break their bed. 

“If we pull this part off here I bet I could use it to make a weapon! Now that would be a distraction!” He pushed Mikey, who looked to his brother for the answers. 

Donnie shook his head- that would almost certainly get them in way more trouble than it was worth. Plus, they just wanted to go outside, not to hurt anyone. Mikey frowned, but turned back to Heishi and shook his head.

“Nu-uh, mm sorry, but they would get really mad if we broke our bed.” Mikey answered, making Heishi groan.

“Hmmm, welllll… what if I promise to show you all my cool warrior moves?” Donnie knew exactly how this would turn out, and groaned as his brother let out an excited squeal.

“REALLY?” He gasped, and Heishi gave him a big grin.

It did not take much to break his little brother, who thought on the new deal for only a second before giving in and nodding.

“Okay! But only if you do it on my bro’s bed- er… Dee’s bed! He likes his bed cuz the cameras can’t see it!” He whispered the last part as he pointed to the bottom bunk where Donatello currently sat, staring at the both of them in disappointment.

“You're going to get us all in trouble, you know.” He offered, but Heishi was already yanking on the middle rung to their bunk, attempting to pull it from the bed.

“Yeah! An’ what if they put those handcuffs on you again?! Or worse?” Raph added, making Donnie nod- at least someone had some sense.

Of course, his brother and Heishi were not listening- both now on his bed, pulling against the rung until there was a resounding C R A C K and they both tumbled backwards- the wooden rung now in their hands. Ugh.

“AH-HA! Now this is a plan!” Heishi shouted triumphantly, holding up the splintered remains of their bunk as if it was something spectacular.

Donnie turned and flopped against his pillow- refusing to see the end of this. ‘Will they fix our bunk?’ He wasn’t sure. When the light broke a few weeks ago- they fixed that but… him and his brother have never broken anything on purpose before. ‘They took away our books… would they take away their papers next? Or their bunk? That is what they broke so what if-’ Donnie shook his head, burrowing it further into his pillow- 

‘no, Carol wouldn’t let them take their bunk. Plus, how would they fit it through the door? It wouldn’t fit!’

‘... wait… how did it get into the room? … was it always here?’ Donnie lost himself to his thoughts as he watched the large snapping turtle pace back and forth at the door and attempted to ignore the delighted chattering between his brother and Heishi.

“Master Draxum says I'm too ‘small and weak’ for big weapons… but he does let me use a wooden sword sometimes! I’m really good with it too!” His words were followed by whooshing sounds and Donnie's bed bobbing up and down with each thrust of Heishi’s “sword”- making Mikey gasp in excitement. Even Raph seemed to be a little impressed, stopping his pacing to watch, big eyes wide in a mixture of nervousness and awe. That only fueled the fire in Heishi. Ughhhh. Curiosity got the best of Donnie and he finally decided to turn his head to watch the ‘greatest warrior’ swing his ‘sword’ around.

He couldn’t stand on the bed without hitting his head, so instead he was moving around on his knees- despite that rather awkward position, he was keeping himself upright which was already a little impressive. He moved with surprising speed, twisting his arms and slashing the sword about as if fighting some imaginary enemy. Every time Donnie thought he would hit the wall or one of the bedposts he would pull away just in time and begin another set of random exercises. 

It was… a little … cool.

Then, as Donnie tried his best to cool his expressions and Heishi swung upwards for what looked like a finishing blow, that the sword exploded in blue light. Heishi screamed, throwing the sword and hitting his shell against the wall as they all stared wide eyed at the bright blue that danced over the sharp wooden stick.

I thought it would be fun that, for the crossover, they switched media! My comic being written, and my fic being in comic format! :DD

I was so nervous to post this and kinda went blind re-reading it over and over again soooo there are probably grammar/spelling errors I missed. Sorry about that- I might go through and edit them later?
