Something that's been haunting me for a while in regards to Twilight telling Yor that she is a great mother to Anya due to her experience in raising Yuri is that he says that, and he means that... but he also knows how Yuri ended up. He knows things about Yuri that Yor doesn't, particularly how he's been indoctrinated into a nationalistic attitude to the point where he tortures people at the orders of the SSS. I'm pretty sure he doesn't consider that as a standard people should aspire to (regardless of whether that makes them his enemies or not), and Yuri's secret coming out could potentially be something that will break Yor's heart, more than any other identity being revealed could.

And yet Twilight doesn't judge Yor for that. What he sees is that Yuri loves her, that Yuri as a young child, orphaned by the war and living in poverty, had someone who fought like hell and sacrificed herself for his happiness. Practically, Yor was to Yuri what Twilight had desperately hoped he'd had as a child. So Twilight recognizes that Yor did the best she could with what she could offer at the time and more, regardless of the person that Yuri ended up becoming.

And idk I just find that so important, you know?
