Noctis: "What're you doing here? Didn't you say you had no interest climbing down 'this filthy hole'?" Ardyn: "Oh, I did and I still do. But then where would you be without my guidance? I suppose someone will have to drag your sorry remains back to the surface when things turn sour, and from what I've seen, you are entirely incapable of staying out of trouble." Gladio: *smirks* "Will you look at that. He cares." Ignis: "Hardly. I suspect it's rather his personal investment in our endeavour that he worries about." Ardyn: "Your Royal advisor's observation is as astute as always. But then again, does it truly matter why I've come to help you?" Noctis: "Yea. Yea it does." Gladio: "A lot."
So, I tried bringing Ardyn with me into the Crestholm Channels dungeon, which didn't work at first, I guess because he doesn't have an animation for climbing ladders. But, once I've walked far enough away from the entrance, he just shadowstepped teleported after Noctis & Co.
Learned a couple of things about this supposedly broken party member:
Ardyn can take damage, but won't enter Danger state or drop dead. HP and Max HP recover at a normal pace.
It's not possible to use items on him, as he doesn't pop up in the selection.
He uses different walking animations when exploring a dungeon, just like the Chocobros. Also wears a more tense look.
It's possible to equip swords in Ardyn's primary and secondary weapon slot, but he can't use them or attack in general. He does, however, rush at enemies from time to time so his battle AI might not be entirely broken. Would love to have given him the Mutant Rakshasa Blade, but since it's a great sword, it's not part of the "sword" selection.
He ended up getting stuck on the ledge when I dropped down to fight the Nagarani (which is a pity, because I have yet to find out if he can suffer status ailments) and I chose to teleport out of the dungeon because frankly, I've gotten lost way too many times in Crestholm Channels in my previous playthroughs.
Will try the Bavlouve Mines with him, though!
Also, love Prompto's dungeon commentary. <3

1/2/3 for the wildly specific questions -corditeheart
Wildy Specific Headcanon Questions / @corditeheart
1. What's the lie your character says most often?
Malachi:
Given how many rescue/infiltration/generic observatory missions he's done over the course of not only his career as a SeeD, but as a realm-displaced Glaive, the answer to this is, tragically, "You're going to be okay."
From sites of war, to the peripheral villages and cities in the path of destruction- Malachi has seen more than his share of futile rescues, and many 'last moments' of those with no one to call. Yet no pre-assessment is going to stop him from providing what last, miniscule comfort he can to those that need it most. Being a realist doesn't make him an asshole, and admittedly much of that is due to life experience and age.
Nyx:
Inversely, Ulric's largest lies tend to be some variety of "I'm fine"/"I'll be fine". Not only from battleground injury or overuse of borrowed magic, but from the egregious and untreated case of C-PTSD and survivor's guilt that haunts his near-every quiet hour.
From auditory hallucinations of his sister to dissociative flashbacks and what-if scenarios that underline his potential for failure, Nyx Ulric is very much not okay. Guilt eats at him and can reliably be said to be his driving force: why he is so dead-set on being 'the Hero'. Perhaps if he saves enough of those in need, he can be forgiven for failing those who mattered most.
Ardyn:
If we're talking about (recent) active duty lying; for the past 30 in-universe years this man has been deceiving and manipulating an entire Empire, and regularly (within the last 3 years) not even knowing who he is day-to day. Yet if I were to hazard a guess/establish a HC right here, I'd have to say it would be some variety of "There's no need to fret~." / "Don't worry~.", with a potential 'my dear' added on by instinct.
If we are to speak on simply the lie spoken most often over the course of time itself; two-thousand years of simmering in the betrayal of your kin and hanging like a slab of meat, bound to an Astral-guarded Isle whilst boiling alive in the rage and confusion on what you POSSIBLY could have done to deserve such agony-- I like to think 'He didn't mean it/it was a mistake...' was likely the most often, deliriously uttered lie told to himself to comfort his shattered heart over his brother's betrayal.
Grief is cyclical. Imagine that cycle yoyoing for millennia.
2. How loosely or strictly do they use the word 'friend'?
Malachi:
In terms of using the word in general? It's flung all over the place if it will help foster goodwill for whatever his missions may need. He'll cozy up to civilians, merchants- most anyone who shouldn't be exposed to the ugly of his work- again whatever that may be. The world is already a disaster (either 8's or 15's, it's all a mess) and most everyone is just trying to make it day in and day out.
Also, one gets more with honey than with vinegar.
In the emotional sense on who he considers his legitimate, actual friends worthy of his trust and vulnerability? It's... I wanna say astronomically rare.
In his native amnesiac!Glaive state (and to an extent his ff8verse), a warbond is built - for him - out of necessity. He trusts them to keep him alive; to do what they are trained to; to give enough of a shit that they all go home to do it all again the next day in a world on it's last legs. In that sense they're war buddies, brothers-in-arms. But the amount of people he has fought alongside to GET that sentiment can be counted on one hand (to his failing memory) and half are dead.
Malachi is a bizarrely mixed case of abundant-if-restrained compassion, vaguely pessimistic realism, caustic wit, don't-give-a-fuck-itis, and introversion. So the previous point isn't to say he's cold and distant. He's remarkably personable, and will shoot the shit for as long as such a mood lasts. He'll even play guitar when requested- not that he can remember where he learned to do so.
He's a friendly sort to most, but only considers a handful of people friends to himself.
3. How often do they show their genuine emotions to others versus just the audience knowing?
Malachi:
It depends on the emotion, the situation, and the opposing "other" muse he's interacting with. And believe me, I want to shove a hot pepper in my own mouth every time I say the words 'it depends' because... I say it too often. But in this case it's less 'oh, he's soooo changeable' and more he's fair willing to show emotions to those he knows and trusts to some degree.
He's secure in the knowledge he can beat ass if someone wants to be a dick about it.
But as stated before, it depends on the emotion, situation, and person combo- so I'd say the audience gets far more exposition because I'm a slut for it, no matter if the scene is him mean-mugging someone.
Nyx:
This one's a bit easier to answer, simply because Nyx - to me - is a 'keep to himself' sort for a myriad of reasons (outside his friend group). Be it 'I gotta be the hero' to 'my friends are having a good time, I can't bring em down' to 'I'm having a good time, who tf is this asshat crashing the party' and in any of those situations he tends to mask up-- aka, the audience will definitely see far more from my exposition.
Military training (to my extremely limited knowledge and thus portrayal) also doesn't quite encourage soldiers to be anything other than ready to deploy/the weapon they were honed to be. With enough time a soldier can outgrow that- and had this pretty face been less traumatised about who and what he could trust (fuck you Glautos), and not - y'know - internally crispy fried, he may have been able to loosen up.
Mind you I'd be more than down to write plots and developments where he learns to trust again!

battle couples has gotta be one of my favorite tropes though. The âyou got me?â âYeah, I got you.â The kiss for good luck. Fighting alongside each other for so long they know every strength and weakness. The dichotomy of being fucking terrifying to their enemies, but so soft with each other. When one is in danger and the other goes feral, protects them at any cost. When everything is over and done, itâs all âlet me see where youâre hurt,â and washing off the dirt and blood.

in comparison to the pristine prince of corporate greed, the mysterious stranger is simultaneously greater (in stature), and lesser (in dress). surely it would be a source of comedy if any other mortal were around. indeed-- there SHOULD be a certain turk ever-present. yet...
nothing.
ardyn looks down to this frosted blonde wrapped elegantly in layers of white with an expression better befitting that of an amused fox; the other's bright garb opposing his own rather haphazard disaster of colours and uneven layers.
"ooh, a rarity to hear one in power admit to a lack of it~." the immortal smiles, the expression taking a temporary note of chagrin as he corrects himself- "at least in certain aspects~. though- do forgive my rudeness; i never got your name~."
he crosses his arms over his chest, briefly looking the other up and down. he can't help but offer a shrug at the statement, like it was a dumb thing to hear. "sure. we all have our weaknesses." despite how much reginald shinra had tried, rufus was still prone to moments of weakness. or maybe he was just more human.

How It Could've Gone
I really adore Noctis/Luna but I'd be the first to agree it could've been executed better or fleshed out more, they should've interacted in-game as adults, the players should've been allowed to build an emotional connection to Luna, etc. So here's one hc of how it could've gone:
-
Luna survives the battle at Altissia and Ardyn's stabbing but is weak and severely wounded. Instead of mourning her death, Noctis and his bros grapple with the aftermath - the response and recovery of Altissia, Ignis' blindness, Luna's convalescence, Noctis' own shortcomings in the last trial, and Noctis' realisation that it isn't too late. That he and Luna still have time.
Cue Luna joining the guys when they depart for Niflheim - to some protest, mainly out of concern for her health. But our girl isn't one to sit back when there's a world save and she has the power to help. Maybe she even tries to heal Ignis' eyesight but it's been too long since he incurred the injury. Maybe her healing powers have waned after the last trial or maybe Ignis refuses it. Either way Luna acts as their guide to Niflheim and joins as a guest party member when they alight at Cartanica.
Their trip down the mine to the royal tomb is still fraught with danger and heightened emotions, but Luna's presence eases the tension and her abilities (both as a healer and wielder of the Trident) help in picking up the slack. During this time, and earlier on the train ride, the guys and Luna get to know each other - the way they should have in-game - and discuss their respective journeys. Maybe Noctis and Luna have a private moment at a campsite where they can, for the first time in years, be just "Noctis and Luna" together - and not the chosen King of Lucis and the Oracle. The Ring of the Lucii is brought up, with Luna apologising for not delivering it sooner, and so is the fall of Insomnia and Regis' passing. Amidst the sweet sorrow and growing pains, the group retrieves the royal arm but Noctis still has yet to put on the ring.
They agree to journey to Tenebrae, both to fulfil promises unspoken and to check on its state after hearing rumours of an attack on the radio. Their impending arrival is heralded by daemons assaulting the train. Luna helps repel the daemons with her powers of light, but is left utterly spent and Prompto is lost in the onslaught.
The remaining group reaches Tenebrae only to find the rumours are true - an imperial invasion has devastated the land once again and the fight rages on. In the midst of it all, they encounter Aranea, Biggs and Wedge assisting with the evacuation. Aranea points out where the fighting is thickest and informs them of the latest news out of Gralea and Ravus' rumoured passing.
The army of MTs and daemons is being puppeteered by Ardyn, who mocks them for being down one member and running behind schedule. Their enemies are relentless in their attacks and despite Gladio and Ignis' warnings, Noctis breaks off as he charges after Ardyn. Their frenzied fight comes to a head as Noctis gains the upper hand and pins Ardyn to the ground. Ardyn's mocking laughter rings in Noctis' ears as he crows their time has finally run out. Noctis' vision clears and he finds on the end of his sword is none other than Luna.
Lying amidst the ravaged flower fields of her home, Luna reveals her true feelings and inescapable fate. Her body has been wracked by the covenants and Ardyn is right, her time was always going to be limited with her calling now fulfilled. Still, she is grateful for the time they spent together, for the chance to stand beside him and laugh again as they once did. Luna admits she was looking forward to their wedding and asks Noctis to save their star, reminding him he is not alone and Prompto can yet be saved.
Noctis, cradling her body, cries he is sorry, he won't let her down and they'll be together again someday.
Luna smiles... And the party is down to three.

since ever crisis is doing a crossover with ix it made me think that maybe theyâll do events with other ffs too, and my fave is xv so heres my propositions for who i think would get whoâs outfit
cloud: noctis, theyâre both the main characters of their ff games so it just kinda makes sense, cause i can only assume thats what they did with the ix collab and giving cloud zidaneâs(?) costume (i think but i might be wrong i know literally nothing about ixâŚ)
zack: prompto!!! noctisâ best friend!!! silly little puppy dog men!!! i think zack would probably fit prompto the best overall
aerith: lunafreya! because lunaâs dress reminds me of that one skin they already gave aerith, the wedding dress looking one! and i think aerith would look really pretty in lunaâs outfit :) plus theyâre both like the healer kind of characters
tifa: probably cindy i think, cindyâs outfit kinda reminds me of tifaâs bathing suit outfit (iâm not entirely sure why but it just kinda does) and that one feels more likely than pairing tifa with iris, but i do think tifa would look very cute in irisâ outfit too! its really hard to choose when theres only like⌠3 women in xv
barret: gladio! theyâre both just the buffest ones tbh⌠not really any other correlation but i think the outfit would look good on barret
sephiroth: ardyn⌠i just think it would be funny to see baby sephiroth dressed in *that* monstrosity! plus i think matching the villians would make sense like matching the mcs, like cloud and noctis! although actually i also think ravusâ outfit would totally suit sephiroth!!! like 100% it would look so good!!! (it would also further my seph/aerith sibling hc)(no i donât actually think theyâre siblings i just think the ideas fun and cute)
bonus: yuffie: iris!!! if tifa doesnât get irisâ then i think yuffie would also suit it super well!!! i would love to see yuffie as iris, plus character wise it makes more sense to me for yuffie to be paired with iris than tifa getting irisâŚ
bonus 2: rufus: ravus! since sephiroth as ravus wouldnât really make sense, pairing the secondary âantagonistsâ does! plus theyâre outfits are both really cool and mostly white and i just overall think rufus would look super good (i love both ravus and rufus a lot so iâm highly biased)
bonus 3: red xiii: ignis⌠i think it would be funny trying to get him into one of ignisâ suits⌠or, idk how they would do it, but umbra or pryna!
cursed bonus: hojo: verstael except hojo gets the verstael episode ardyn treatment where you find out that hojo in his younger years was actually a cute twink that looked similar to sephiroth
blessed bonus: if we say fuck gender and give them the main 4 we can have cloud/noctis, zack/prompto, aerith/ignis (i wanna see her in like any ignis outfit⌠the suitsâŚ), and tifa/gladio (IMAGINE! JUST THINK ABOUT IT! YOU SEE THE VISION! THE OPEN SHIRT?! SHE WOULD LOOK SO GOOD!)
#i would actually really like to see a ffxv collab one day⌠even if the ix collab was kinda a let down⌠i wish we got story :(#ffvii#ff7#final fantasy 7#ever crisis#ffxv#ff15#cloud strife#zack fair#aerith gainsborough#tifa lockhart#sephiroth#yuffie kisaragi#rufus shinra#hojo#barret wallace#red xiii#noctis lucis caelum#prompto argentum#lunafreya nox fleuret#cindy aurum#iris amicitia#gladio amicitia#ravus nox fleuret#ignis scientia#ardyn izunia#verstael besithia#this is a much longer post than i expected iâm so sorry (im actually not because i had fun making it⌠sorry)

Hey there! Your FFXV OCs are really cool! Could you tell us more about them? I love learning about fan ocs from this game :)
OHH GOSH HI!!!!! THANK YOU FOR ASKING!!!! I have so much lore on all my ocs this game drives me INSANE.
To give a quick rundown of the main three:
Fidei Carissime (roughly translated "Beloved Faith" from Latin) is the pink haired axemen I frequently draw with the chocobros!
He's the epitome of the "Lost Prince" character trope. His mom died shortly after his birth and his father (the king of some unnamed far off kingdom) had him handed off to a poor family just on the coast of Cleigne.
Hard times and a rise in the local daemon population forced the family to move into Insomnia when Fidei was 7, but at age 8 his adoptive parents were killed by a daemon attack while on a trip outside the wall.
Fidei spent a few years in the system before an older teen by the name of Salus took him under his wing and introduced him to a group of kids looking to make lives for themselves without spending forever in the orphanage.
Years later Fidei gets into the same highschool as Prince Noctis on merit, and through Prompto he's introduced to the chocobros and eventually joins the retinue.
And yes, they kiss. I'm a silly OC x canon shipper don't be mad at me they're cute!!
Calor Solis (roughly translated "Warmth of the Sun" from Latin) is a Crownsguard stationed to train new Kingsglaive soldiers after a traumatic experience rendered them ineffective in combat. Under the guidance of Cor Leonis, they trained Libertus and Luche personally in hand-to-hand and close quarters.
Calor is all sunshine and smiles. He's got a friendly disposition no matter the circumstances and is always willing to lend a hand - but never take his kindness for weakness. He's highly skilled with daggers and close quarters combat, and once you pass the threshold of violence, you'd better pray they're feeling generous.
PTSD can make her flighty in some situations, but if her loved ones are in danger there's nothing she won't do to get them to safety.
Calor is genderfluid and swaps between nicknames (Cal, Lor, and Oli) to denote what they're feeling at any given time.
Chrysalis!! She's the newest and the least fleshed out of my OCs, but she's actually based around some lore and HCs surrounding The Crystal and Bahamut from the game itself!
To put it shortly: The Crystal is a prison Bahamut used to trap the original sixth astral, Chrysalis. During the time of Ardyn's mission to heal the sick of the starscourge, Chrys was the Oracle's main line of communication to the astrals. Sympathetic to their cause, Chrys often extended her own powers to grant healing and strength to the two when it was needed.
When Bahamut came, there was upset within the astral planes, and through an unknown power, he struck down Chrysalis and trapped her in an aetheryte crystal. Using her as a battery for power, he fueled his own prophecy and ordained that Ardyn would not be king, setting the game's plotline into motion.
At the end of the game, in an alternate turn of events, Noctis winds up shattering the crystal in his fight with Ardyn, and inadvertently frees Chrysalis.
With her and Ardyn's help, they defeat Bahamut and Chrsyalis frees the Lucii from the ring so they may rest in peace.
There are background OCs, crossovers with @joyfullyacat 's ocs, tons more lore and situations I've put these three in, but that's the gist of it!
#GRAHHH THANK YOU!!!! I LOVE TALKING ABOUT THEM!!!!!!#i hope this is to your satisfaction đ#ffxv#oc#fidei#calor#chrysalis

@raven-6-10
So the thing is. The only Fleurets with magic are the women. It's not a matter of them only training the girls, the boys just straight up don't have magic.
Mind you, the men are still as much 'blood of the Oracle' as their mothers and sisters, and it's not uncommon for their daughters or granddaughters to pop with magic, though it's not exactly common either. Tenebrae keeps as close an eye on their royal bloodline as the Lucis Caelums do, for similar reasons. I hc that only the Oracle/Oracle's Heir get Oracle training, but non-Oracle women of the family still have the magic.
On top of that, Besithia can't full on clone any of his Oracle samples - the chances of someone recognizing the dna 'donor' is too high. That's a political nightmare better avoided. So Besithia is splicing the Oracle dna with his own dna in this au, and cloning the resulting combinations.
There's two ways I can go about this, if I choose to make Prompto a Fleuret.
First, I can keep Prompto male. He won't have magic, but his daughters could potentially have magic, which is a very long way down the road panic attack if no one figures out that he's a Fleuret before that point and tells him. Prompto's still getting photobombed of course, and Pryna will still check up on him, but there's a chance Gentiana never says anything to the Nox Fleurets or to Prompto, because a secret branch of the Oracle Line offers extra security, especially after Niflheim attacking Fenestala Manor.
There's always the possibility of Sylva or Luna recognizing Fleuret traits in Prompto if they ever meet in Insomnia (because I still have no idea where my plot is going in the long run so it's a possibility), which has fun political fallout to deal with, depending on whose dna was used as Prompto's Oracle 'parent' - Sylva's parent, Sylva herself, or Ravus. (Ravus would be hysterical because Prompto would technically be Ravus' child, all of eight years younger than Ravus himself. Especially if Besithia used the X chromosome from Ravus in an effort to get the Oracle magic, therefore making Ravus technically Prompto's maternal genetic donor.)
Second option is I make Prompto a girl. In which case Prompto gets one hell of a surprise when she's in primary school. Her parents are probably partially if not chronically absent at this point, so the only person Prompto has to hide her magic from is her babysitter (which she definitely has because otherwise hello CPS) which likely isn't all that difficult.
Only, Prompto doesn't know she's adopted. Her parents were chosen because they were retired Lucian operatives that regularly operated in Niflheim, due to being able to pass themselves off as Niflheimr, so her mother is blonde while her father has light brown hair, both with pale complexions, light eyes, and somewhat aristocratic features that allowed them to blend into Niflheim's middle to upper middle classes.
Aristocratic features present amongst much of the nobility - Niflheimr and Lucian alike.
Prompto doesn't think she's an Oracle child. She thinks she's a Lucis Caelum.
After all, she's got magic. She's got bright blue eyes - where her parents have grey and green - and a bit of digging on the internet pops up a couple pictures of Queen Vita with a delicate scattering of freckles across her face and shoulders, just like Prompto, and not like Prompto's parents.
Which is really awkward, because the late Queen Aulea would've been barely pregnant with Prince Noctis when King Regis supposedly knocked up her mother, given the two months between Prompto and Noctis' birthdays.
Prompto doesn't say a word of any of this to her parents. She knows her parents used to work for the Crown, if not in what capacity, but she knows they don't anymore. But since they're raising Prompto and not the King, Prompto figures either the King didn't want her, or the King doesn't know. And Prompto has no idea what would happen if she came forward.
Sure, her parents are gone more often than not, but she still loves them! They're her parents. She doesn't want to get them in trouble or lose them.
Prompto resolves to make sure no one ever finds out about her magic, and to stay far away from the King.
A resolve that crumbles in the time it takes for Prompto to meet Noctis for the first time at school and decide to befriend her lonely half-brother.
What is Besithia doing in Spark!Ardyn au? Considering his pet projects got thoroughly torched by an annoyed Astral, along with his lab.
Besithia doesnât strike me as the type to let an Astral throwing a hissy fit get in the way of his goals. Well, not for long, anyways.
Havenât played through Episode Ardyn yet and itâs been awhile since I watched a walkthrough, but iirc Besithia books it either when the Royal Guard shows up to have a go at killing Ardyn, or when Ifrit wakes up pissed as fuck. Either way, Besithia is too busy running to avoid getting flambĂŠd to see that Ardyn did not get immolated with the rest of the lab.
So with his lab turned to ash and charred and melted scrap - and assuming Ardynâs ashes are in there as well - Besithia is back to not square one, but like, square two with his daemon experiments. Only now thereâs the issue of Ifrit being awake, and that Astral isnât known for being fond of humans.
And Besithia doubts heâs on the Astralâs Winter Solstice card list.
First Besithia has to fess up to the Emperor about his colossal fuck up - lost an expensive lab, lost the experiments heâd invested so much money in, and thereâs now a pissed off Astral on the loose - and hope Iedolas doesnât decide to cut his losses where Besithia is concerned. Besithia is in luck. Iedolas isnât pleased with Besithia, but the Emperor gives Besithia a chance to mitigate his mistake by coming up with a way to counter an Astral.
So begin Besithiaâs experiments into countering divine magic. With the added difficulty of finding a source of divine magic to test his results on.
Niflheim can already clone food, surely humans canât be that much more difficult? Ardynâs genetic samples all burned up in his lab, so Besithia starts with his own dna to perfect the process.
Once he gets that - the successful subjects are placed under observation to monitor development even as they are placed in various homes - Besithia moves on to acquiring a suitable genetic sample from either the line of the Oracles or Lucis Caelums.
Depending how long it takes Besithia to reach this stage, his options are Sylvaâs Fleuret parent, Sylva herself, baby Ravus, Mors, or Regis. At which point Besithia starts trying to clone subjects in the hope of them inheriting magic so he can test countering divine magic on them. Instead of having to test it on a fully aware Oracle or a trial by fire on an angry Astral.
Only, it turns out magic doesnât really play well with cloning attempts so Besithiaâs gonna be at this for awhile.
#ffxv#Spark!Ardyn au#Prompto Argentum#awkward situations all around#Cor had no idea what the babies in the labs were for when he broke in#if he had he would've raised Prompto himself or kept a much closer eye on Prompto to protect Prompto#even once Besithia figures out that female specimens are required to be able inherit Oracle magic he finds it very difficult to guarantee i#it's a *very very* low rate#and the results don't show until the babies are three or four#and that's in a healthy baby - for those in less than ideal environments it can take the magic longer to develop#hc that LCs develop magic sooner because their magic is more martially oriented and can act as as last line of defense#and stress causes LCs to develop it sooner out of a survival instinct#but Oracle magic it's the opposite#Besithia might not *have* a baby with magic by the time Prompto pops with magic#which adds another risk if anyone finds out she does have magic because Niflheim will *absolutely* try to take her back#and the POLITICAL fallout if Sylva ever finds out about Prompto being her daughter/granddaughter#Niflheim would be in some serious trouble#still don't know if I'll go the route of Fleuret!Prompto - of either gender#but it's a fun idea nonetheless

Not fandom related-- oc shinanniganz, but y'boy is back at it again animating this time, setting a bar far too high LMAO
Context: Discussed in length with some friends in a server about what voice I should give my- admittedly insanely feminine oc LMAO And we ended up with like- Ardyn from FFXV as his voice, and I thought his singing voice would be the sort of tone of this song too.
Absolutely fuckin' love this HC NYEHEHHEEHE My boi deserves to be voiced by my second fave FF villain PFFT and gets this sorta singing voice to accompany it MWAHHAHA

Yeah, you heard it here first, Cloud Strife is apparently English and somebody summoning KotR in their gameplay is a "secret ultimate ending" and not just somebody using the materia in the game.
Sorry not sorry but I just gotta blow holes in this shit one insane tweet at a time.
Kingdom Hearts is not canon to ffvii. It just isn't. It's not the "canon game for a summon" and are you out of your fucking mind for thinking Kingdom Hearts is making some canonical link between a summon and Disney's Sword in the Stone?! Jfc this is already sounding crazy af đ¤Śââď¸
No. There's no "secret ending" to ffvii. You chose a playthrough with a player summoning KotR. Literally every player can do that. Unless they're like you and never played the damn game, you insane carrot. I'm gonna assume you think ffxv's ending where Noctis calls up the kings of yore to defeat Ardyn, which has been confirmed as a callback to ffvii's KotR but at no point did anybody say the endings were identical or that KotR is a mandatory or secret speshul ending appearance. Cloud, at no point in KH, is ever intending to or looking for king Arthur. He is always searching for Sephiroth so they can settle their shit. He never becomes a KotR. Again, you're confusing ffxv with other games. Noctis's father becomes a King of Yore at the end of ffxv and helps defeat Ardyn. I mean, if you can't keep basic plotlines straight why are you even talking in the first place?
Show me where Cloud's an "Englishman"? Show me where England and Germany are on the map of the planet. He's no more English than he is German and you need to stop listening to that nutbar Calli and her made up garbage based on her own HC fap material. King Arthur wasn't a real person, dumdum. Plz don't talk about English history if you haven't ever learned it in school.
Strife isn't a last name. It's a bloody noun. And Strauss is the German word for ostrich.
He's the fucking player character. He doesn't know how to get the materia. You know how to get the materia.
Kh isn't canon to ffvii or the KotR. Kh1 and 2 leaned heavily on squareenix to grab a player base and build its following. Once kh became established in its own right they began to phase out the FF cameos because the characters aren't needed to keep real players interested in the plot. You aren't a real player, so shut up.
You're an idiot who can't accept an in game email talking about things characters have seen and done isn't canon compared to WoFF, another game that isn't canon to ffvii.
Again: WoFF is not canon to ffvii. Serah isn't married at the point her character appears. Zack isn't with Aerith. He's a soldier 2nd class. I know it's hard for your small brain to comprehend but SE takes characters from different points in their own lives to mix and match in cameos for fanservice. Cloud appears in multiple titles as OG soldier Cloud and post AC Cloud. Tifa appears in WoFF as cowgirl Tifa at age 15 before she's traumatized. Get a fucking clue.
Again: Zack is single at that point in his life.
Aerith is lying and sucking as much copium as y'all do. The translation is also shit in OG because she doesn't call him a ladies man in JP, she says he's a friendly guy.
Idky you think kh, WoFF and KotR are some weird ass "canon" link that proves your garbage ship or disproves Zack is a decent guy, but you need to shut up.
That's all. Don't bother trying to educate yourself, just shut up. We don't want to hear from you. At all.
Shut up.

Hc+ family
Send me hc + a word of your choosing and Iâll write a headcanon relating to that word!
Family. It's a weird concept for Somnus. His mother died when he was young, his father only cared whether he could fight with a sword. He had only Ardyn for quite a long while. Until he started leaving more and more often, and for longer.
Later he found a wife and had a son. And those two then became his family when he was the King of Lucis. He'd love to have more children, but in truth it's not up to him.

hc; ardyn (ep ardyn)
As I am playing Episode Ardyn --- and slowly dying --- Iâm going to write down all the information we get and that is relevant to my boy, that I need for headcanon purposes.
Ardyn is picked up from Angelgard in 721 --- the next scene takes place after heâs been with Verstael for 7 months, in 722.
The Founderâs Day attack takes place in 734.
Ardyn has nightmares constantly, dreams of Aera and nightmares of Somnus and her death.
He is visibly horrified and upset when he first daemonifies someone, just absolutely a wreck about it.
His sword is called the Rakshasa Blade, and it was made in a set with Somnusâs Sword of the Mystic.
I am absolutely validated; he visibly loathes Verstael.
He is softer at this point, in 722; still with the snarky remarks, but he says grace before a meal and is generally saturated with an air of lost and tired melancholy.
He is a âguestâ of Verstael in a magitek lab, with a small steel room with a bed and couches, but most of it is made up of shelves of research files and a large desk. He sems to have few possessions of his own; just a little radio and a small shelf of books.
Also confirmation that Ardyn didnât help with the research willingly, Verstael just used him as a guinea pig and studied him and researched him.
Ardyn loathes himself, too! Considers himself a monster. Heâs just...tired and sad and broken.
The light of the sun hurts and damages Ardyn just like any other daemon; his cells simply regenerate fast enough to negate the damage. It still causes him pain, however, and thatâs why he covers up.
Verstael dug ifrit up at Ravatogh, and he already had the funky scar/marks on him. Ice burns? Ardyn is Concerned by this.
Lucis literally sent squads of Glaives into Niflheim to kill the monster Adagium or die trying, just like thy were sent to Angelgard to keep it from escaping. And yes, they use language like âitâ and âthat thingâ, even seeing him in front of them. So the royal line of Lucis is well aware of what was imprisoned on the island and did nothing, just kept it there.
Ardyn has horrific audio-visual hallucinations of Somnus taunting him cruelly while fighting the Glaives.
Ifrit wakes after this and is genuinely confused as to what Ardyn is after they fight, and Ardyn tries to daemonify him --- he sees something that frightens him, realizing that he had been chosen by the Crystal, and then he sees Aeraâs spirit, apologizing to him for telling Somnus what she had seen, insisting itâs her fault for his fate, that this is punishment for her sins, and begs Ardyn to punish her, while Somnus taunts him for being a monster and for his accidental daemonification of a Glaive on Angelgard.
âMy calling is to save lives, not take them.â
Ardyn canât bring himself to kill her like she asks, so the phantom of Somnus forces him to do so, calling him a monster. This is what shatters him entirely, swearing to never forgive Somnus and to destroy everything he built.
Itâs after this he was made Chancellor for his âcontributionsâ to the research on daemons.
Ardyn takes the memories of those he daemonifies, and doing this repeatedly to learn more of the modern world and of Lucis slowly corrupted him and drove him even more mad as they all began to merge with his own.
Attacks the Founderâs Day festivities to help Verstael and the Empire, but personally seeks to fight/kill Regis and make him summon the Old Wall, wanting to confront Somnus.
He is able to do so and defeat him, enraged by his brotherâs attempts to appease him, and then is called before Bahamut and his true calling revealed --- he was chosen from the start to bring darkness to the land, acting as the Chosenâs sacrificial lamb to end the Scourge.Â
RESIST ENDING IS CANON FOR MY ARDYN: Ardyn denies this fate, outraged and upset, refusing to bend to the whims of the gods; because of this Bahamut restrains him, calling a shade of Aera to attack and torment him cruelly, claiming that everything is preordained and it is foolish to fight fate.
Ardyn is driven to rock bottom, maddened and in despair, and chooses to kill Noctis and plunge the world into unending night, defying his fate and making all suffer like he has. And if he truly does come to fulfill his role and die at Noctisâs hands, then...it doesnât matter. Nothing truly matters. And perhaps heâll finally stop suffering.
He kills Luna, too, out of misplaced hurt and rage at Aera and the godsâ talk of preordained fate, at her attempts at kindness when he is naught but a monster and when his own beloved was stolen.
