Claire was on her knees, eye level with the rim of her table-top cauldron. It was one of the cool things about have a bit more money, you could have more than one cauldron. The big one was the family cauldron, used for big batches of potions---or bath water when the heater gave out. This one, was her own personal cauldron, sturdy as hell and gave Claire a chance to experiment with brews she was often curious to make.

Like this one. She had been thinking about it a while, as all things she did--and like most thoughts, they would drift off from her periphery like butterflies, only to flutter back in when when she least expected it. This particularly thought butterfly had come charging back in a few weeks after their outdoor concert and they were taking a break in between gigs.

She'd be working on it all week, in between work and practice, and she figured she was very near in making a break through. Slightly tipping the vial filled with a slight murky substance so it dropped just one drop into the cauldron, she grinned with triumph when it started to bubble and froth excitedly. Now all she needed was----

"Cass! Get in here~" She yelled over her shoulder, bouncing excitedly on the balls of her feet. "And bring your clean underwear!"
