Hi! So I just had this idea while listening to the song Mistletoe by Justin Bieber.
Imagine being on set for tbosas during Christmas time and someone from the crew or cast (like Rachel and Josh) put up Mistletoeâs here and there and then discreetly, but very much on purpose, got you and Tom to walk under them to film your reaction to it and take a few pictures!
Mistletoe || Tom Blyth x actress!reader
A/n: Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it!!!!!! Hope u enjoy this cute lil fic :)
Warnings: noneeee
Wc: 654
Divider by @pommecita
As you stepped into the set where you would come filming for the dayâTom trailing behind youâa festive atmosphere filled the air. The set was adorned with twinkling lights, and the crew members were dressed up in festive clothes.
Set seemed to radiate happiness, and the air buzzed with the delightful energy of people in high spirits. It was your first time filming a project during Christmas so it was both exciting and new to you.
You spot Josh and Rachel wearing Santa hats, exchanging cheerful greetings with the crew. âEveryoneâs in the spirit,â You chuckle as Tom comes up behind you, slotting his arm around your shoulder as you wave to people.
âMhm, couldnât agree more- Is that Viola in a grinch costume-â Tom couldnât even finish his sentence before the two of you start bursting out in laughter at the sight. You pull Tom with you as you walk towards her.
âOh my god, this is amazing,â You squeal, whipping out your phone as you snap pictures with her as you could hear her laughter from inside the suit. You and Tom posed with Viola as you make a mental note to post a christmas on set dump on your insta.
As you and Tom continue your way through the set, you noticed mistletoe strategically placed here and there. The mischievous glint in the crewâs eyes hinted at a playful plan. You couldnât help but smile, wondering what surprises awaited.
After filming a few scenes here and there, you and Tom sat on one of the chairs that were littered around the set. Your legs were ontop of Tomâs as you both laugh at a tiktok that you were showing him.
Suddenly, Rachel approached with a mischievous grin, her phone in her hands pointed directly at you. âOh, would you look at that? Mistletoe!â she exclaimed, pointing above your head as both you and Tom look up, catching Josh holding a mistletoe above the two of you with a grin matching his girlfriend.
The crew members nearby chuckled, and Josh chimed in, âGuess tradition says you two have to share a Christmas kiss under the mistletoe!â He makes obnoxious kissing sounds as you cover your face in slight embarrassment, only peeking through your fingers to see Rachelâs phone still pointing at you.
You exchanged amused glances with Tom, both of you caught off guard but playing along. âWell, I suppose we shouldnât break tradition,â Tom said with a wink, his British accent adding a touch of charm.
Under the mistletoe, surrounded by people you considered your family, you and your boyfriend shared a lighthearted, staged kiss, eliciting cheers and whistles from the crew. Cameras clicked, capturing the festive moment that would undoubtedly make its way into the behind-the-scenes footage.
As you pulled away, Rachel couldnât resist teasing, âAh, the magic of Christmas on set!â Tom chuckled, âWho knew mistletoe would find its way into the Hunger Games universe?â
The crew continued their work, but the festive spirit lingered. Throughout the day, more mistletoe moments were orchestrated with different cast members, each adding a touch of holiday cheer to the set which was amusing for fans to watch.
During a break, you found yourself by the craft services table, sipping on hot chocolate . Tom joined you, a playful glint still in his eyes. âI never thought Iâd be kissing you under a mistletoe in the Capitol, of all places,â You laugh, nudging him as he fixes himself a hot chocolate.
~
âSo, tell us, what was your favorite memory from filming during the Christmas season?â The interviewer, a charismatic woman with a warm smile, set the tone for the conversation.
Tom leaned forward with a twinkle in his eye, âOh, thatâs an easy one. Viola Davis in a Grinch costume. Nothing beats that sight on a festive set.â Laughter rippled through the room, and the interviewer joined in. âViola Davis as the Grinch? Thatâs something we need to see!â
A few pictures appeared on the screen behind you and Tom, capturing the hilarious moment of Viola Davis fully embracing the holiday spirit as the Grinch. The audience erupted into laughter again, and you couldnât help but chuckle at the vivid memory.
As the laughter subsided, the interviewer turned to you, âAnd you Y/n? Any standout moments from the Christmas filming?â You smiled, recalling the unexpected joy that filled the set. âWell, Tom and I had a rather unexpected encounter with a mistletoe. I think everyone knows what Iâm talking about right?â You look to the crowd who all agree.
The screen shifted to a video clip, capturing the behind-the-scenes moment when Josh and Rachel orchestrated the mistletoe surprise. You and Tom, caught off guard, shared a playful kiss under the strategically placed mistletoe, eliciting cheers and applause from the crew.
âThere it is,â you said, gesturing to the screen. âThat was our impromptu mistletoe moment. Josh and Rachel ensured we got into the holiday spirit, Capitol style, obviouslyâ You give a wink, giggling at the sight of you and Tom in full capitol glamour.
Tom grinned, âIt was a festive surprise, to say the least. But it made for a memorable Christmas on set,â The audience enjoyed the wholesome clip, and the interviewer couldnât help but smile before they wrapped up the interview.

L. KENNEDY, C. REDFIELD, C. OLIVEIRA X READER (SEPARATE)
ŕłâ⡠sypnosis; christmas hcâs
ŕłâ⡠warnings; none! pure fluff
ŕłâ⡠authorâs note; ho ho ho merry christmas idc if its nov its christmas time⌠do ppl drink on christmas? we do so idek? icl this is all like stuff i made up bcos i donât celebrate christmas like this but wtv we roll #wesoĹychĹwiÄ

C. OLIVEIRA
do not let this man near the kitchen. everything that can go wrong goes WRONG
ask him to take something out the oven, he drops it. ask him to stir something in the bowl he stirs too vigorously and it goes flying all over the counters
heâs a pain. heâs distracting. constantly getting infront of you with the mistletoe, thinking heâs slick by trying to sneak in kisses. constantly sneaking bites of food whenever he thinks youâre not looking (you are, and you smack his hands away with a spoon)
one thing heâs actually good at and enjoys is cookie decorating. heâll make little gingerbread men of you two and make them so damn detailed. makes one for jill too, though with less care and her face ends up a bit⌠strange
heâs THAT person which is always ringing everyone, friends and family, wishing them a merry christmas and sends them stupid gifs slavic babcias love so much (if u dont know what i mean thenâšď¸)
LOVES the whole aspect of the christmas tree yet hates putting it together, it pisses him off to no end and half way through ends up calling you over to help him⌠definitely picks you up so that you can put the star on top
if he gets an ugly christmas sweater you best believe heâs wearing it for the full day, no shame
L. KENNEDY
depends which leon weâre talking about
younger leon puts in more effort, older leon genuinely canât be fucked to do much
walks around with a trash bag when everyoneâs opening presents so thereâs no mess on the floor
your guysâ house is literally the christmas function. every year. mostly due to you inviting everyone round and deciding to host it, much to leonâs annoyance but he doesnât mind THAT much since he loves you!!
definitely the best gift giver. for some damn reason he just knows what everyone wants, genuinely no explanation for it. he just does
heâs such a sweetheart, constantly asking you if you need help with anything in the kitchen or whether you need him to pop to the store for anything
he 100% sang carols when he was younger. just imagine 7 year old leon, hair gelled back, button up shirt, stood infront of the tv singing carols (lets pretend he didnât have all that trauma okay)⌠get him to sing again, he might cave once heâs drunk enough with chris
on the topic of chris, something ALWAYS happens when the pair have had a few and arenât sober any longer. something always gets broken for some reason
one year, they randomly got up and started dancing. leon went flying into the christmas tree and took it down with him.
i hc him as having a rather large sweet tooth, so heâs always down for some cookie decorating! itâs rather sloppy and they end up looking questionable most of the time, but he ends up eating half of them before heâs even fully finished decorating so thatâs not much of a problem anyways
C. REDFIELD
santa. need i say more?
nag him constantly to wear a santa outfit or atleast a santa hat. he will cave eventually
DEFINITELY gets a wallet for christmas every damn year without fail, yet doesnât even use the damn wallets
him in the kitchen helping you out is definitely⌠something. he doesnât know how to measure - what the fuck is a cup?
you asked him to help you out and stuff the turkey. he walked out the kitchen.
gets claire shitty gifts on purpose but then gives her her ACTUAL gift. theyâre siblings after all, he canât help it, old habits die hard
hates decorating the outside of the house. itâs his nightmare. all the stupid lights, just no
goes CRAZY on your gift. itâs like a little reward for all the effort you go through every year, and itâs always something you wanted badly and doesnât fail to put a smile on your face
heâs not necessarily a fan of sweet things, but hot chocolate? thatâs a completely different story entirely, you end up having to send him to buy milk since he drank the whole damn carton and thereâs none left by the time you get around to actually preparing for dinner
like leon, sits there with a trash bag. he gives such dad vibes i canât stop imagining it
him and leon ultimate christmas duo after a few drinks. all of a sudden chris is in the biggest christmas spirit ever and canât get last christmas out his head
best thing is? heâs not even too big on christmas. he actually celebrates it just because of you, what a sweetheart

pairing: spencer reid x reader
description: in which you and spencer decorate your apartment for christmas.
tags: fluff, roommate!spencer, gn!reader, idiots in love, pinning, decorating!, spencer lifts reader up super quick, reader teases spencer bcs its fun, a little singing.
a/n: woahhh first christmas fic. MY BAD i listened to our love by curtis harding when i wrote majority of this so it just became what it did (not rlly sure what that is). you'd think a reader fond of christmas would only be playing christmas songs (esp when decorating), but she doesn't even?? idk guys. also i gave a hack making a header for this one, might continue making them. anyway lmk what you think, happy reading :))
wc: 1.7k
âtacky, tacky, tacky...â you drone, fingers skimming over the themed trinkets and signs on the shelves. youâre christmas decor shopping with spencer. it's almost the end of november, which you personally think is too late (being a strict âchristmas starts on november 1stâ believer), but you had no choice in the matter, wanting to wait for spencer's schedule to free up so you could go together.Â
âoh cute!â you chirp, picking up a porcelain snoopy with a santa hat on. you show it to spencer, who trails behind you with a sparsely filled cart. âbeside the-â
âtv,â he finishes for you, nodding in agreement. you place it in the cart and continue walking down the aisle.
âi hope youâre checking the price tags,â he muses from behind you, scanning over all the items. you shoot him a look paired with an unconvincing âyeah.â
âbe serious,â he says, though a little amused.
âi am,â you step closer to him, meeting his somewhat challenging gaze. you try to hold your ground but something about the way his eyes crinkle at the corners as he squints at you makes you want to look away. âfine, i'll look over everything before check out. deal?â
he smiles, victorious. âdeal.â he holds out his hand and you give it a firm shake before continuing your perusing.
you spend the next 2 hours like that, complaining about the abundance of generic things and squealing when you do find something nice. in the end, settling on an assortment of baubles, to add on to the ones you already had from last year, a new green blanket, a mulled-wine scented candle (that took you way too long to pick), the snoopy ornament, and 2 matching mugs which you had to sweet talk spencer into buying. you can never have too many mugs.Â
ËËË âĄ ËËË
you light the new candle and set it on the dining table, briefly glancing at the flame. the warmth on your face feels nice but you pull away quickly, knowing that if spencer catches you that close to the candle, heâll chastise you about the fumes.Â
he's digging through the closet for last year's decorations. the tree is already upâ7ft somethingâtucked in the corner of the living room, bare and in dire need of some personality. he finds the box, and you pull out the fairy lights, starting to swirl the wire from the top down, spencer opposite you to help.
music faintly plays from your speaker, so you turn it up, landslide by fleetwood mac.
you circle around the tree with a handful of baubles, a collection of reds and whites, hanging them up where they felt right. spencer nudges you for approval on a few placements and you give him a reassuring smile. the two of you move in sync, on either end. he places a custom ornament of his team somewhere to the front of the tree. when you put up the last of the new ones, you take a step back and give it a good look. happy, spencer hands you the star. he hovers two tentative hands under your arms, over your rib cage, to lift you. thereâs a stool near you that wouldâve been perfectly fine, but you wiggle in his grasp anyway, telling him he can. despite his lanky frame, he picks you up with ease. you place the gold topper on firmly. when he puts you down you lean back into him, swaying. you hum quietly to the music. he presses his lips into your hair, lingering, before pulling away. you instantly miss his warmth, but you don't dwell on it, why should you?
the click of the kettle sounds from the kitchen, he's probably making tea. you think to tell him to use the new mugs, but he already knows. you're still swaying, head dipping up and down as you move across the room. you look through the box for more things to decorate with when your eyes land on a sprig of artificial leaves held together with a red bow.
âhey, when did we get mistletoe?â you call out, hoping your voice carries to the adjoining room.
âhmm?â he pokes his head through the door, looking at the item in your hand. âoh... penny got it for us last year, didn't put it up though.â he explains before returning to the tea, you put it in your pocket for later. you were well aware of what his teammates thought of you, or rather you and him. over the course of the 2 years you lived with spencer, youâd been taken to their family dinners and get-togethers as his plus one, never a girlfriend or a date, you. they ceased their relentless teasing for your benefit, but you knew spencer got the brunt of it when you weren't around. they mean well, theyâre just annoying, he told you after you met them for the first time.Â
you saunter over, ready to tease him. you can't help but want to, he's just so easy. plus, you think it's endearing when he's flustered. âyou wanna put it up?â you ask with a smirk, leaning against the kitchen counter.
âwhat! oh- i don't know, no- uhm- well i don't mean no like it would be bad a bad thing- i just meanââ he stammers nervously, eyes wide and slightly panicked, before you cut him off with a laugh.Â
âcalm down, pretty. i'm just joshinâ ya.â
he lets out a sigh of relief, though it's laced in hidden disappointment. he wouldn't mind if you put it up, wouldn't mind at all. he hands you your mug, navy with little yellow speckles that resembled stars. with his own in hand, he leads you out of the kitchen.
you settle on the couch beside each other. your shoulder lightly bumps against his in steady beats because you're still swaying, as you blow at your drink. worried about you spilling he peels it from you and sets it down on the arm rest to cool on its own. your knee is bouncing now as the next song starts playing, our love.Â
âthere's a girl in town and words gone around she's just fine,â you sing quietly, head dropping onto his shoulder. âso i don't worry my head cause i know her heart is tied to mine.â you tip back onto the cushions, and you raise a dramatic hand to your chest, over your heart. âthe life that we live and the love that i give to her. each day it grows more and more i'm sure, it shows. well,â you shift to face him, leaning closer.Â
âour love, is a bubblin' fountain. our love, that flows into a sea. our love, deeper than any ocean. our love, for eternity.â
you quiet as the second verse starts playing, switching to mouthing the lyrics instead. you look at him with a reverie, head tilted in observation, that makes him nervous. ââŚhe holds me down for sure.â in diligent self-sabotage, he combats this by starting to sing along with you, putting his mug down beside yours, effectively ending the moment as you spring in recognition.
your eyebrows furrow in amusement as you follow suit, planting your hands on his shoulders to move his in tow with yours. the angle is awkward, and he looks a little silly as he does it but it's fine. the chorus plays through and you tire, dipping your head back into his shoulder as he returns your mug to you, albeit still quietly mumbling the lyrics.Â
you practically chug the tea, having reached an ideal temperature. spencer sits sipping slowly, a serial sipper. you curl into his side in the meantime, arm looped through his. after several minutes, he finishes and you take both mugs to the sink, rinsing them swiftly.Â
you slowly but surely continue decorating. two stockings adorned with your initials hang from the key rack in the hallway. handmade paper snowflakes are stuck to the window, snowflakes that had you and spencer hunched over in concentration on the floor a few nights ago, tediously cutting away. you go back and forth on whether the tinsel would go well with the tree, realising all it missed was something sparkly, you wrap it around. spencer nails a simple wreath on the front door, there's a little purple bow on it. snoopy is placed in the midst of the trinkets that sat at your tv tableâgood choice, you think. you change out the pillowcases on the couch for ones with a red flannel pattern and throw the new blanket across the back.Â
the space is perfect, standing in the middle of the room you take a deep breath. waxy candle scented greatness fills your senses, and somehow pine? from the wreath you assume. it's dimly lit, and the low light reflects off the sparkles on the tree gracefully. you wish you had a fireplace during times like this, you take a picture to preserve it anyway.Â
you leave to change into your pyjamas, quickly so the cold doesn't linger on your skin. when you return to the living room you find spencer on the couch, a book perched in his lap. you come up to the back, mistletoe that you fished out of your pocket in hand. you crouch behind him, a little to his right, with the leaves dangling over his head. you graze it lightly on his hair and he looks up. his eyes widen slightly in realisation, but he doesn't try to move, he's intently still. with an amused huff, you lean in and kiss his cheek softly. he's still frozen in place, so as to prolong whatever's happening, a flush spreading across his face. you lean back and drop the sprig into the seat beside him.Â
âgoodnight spencer,â you whisper, suddenly timid. he touches his fingers to the area as you walk away.Â
ËËË âĄ ËËË
a few hours later, he walks into your room, quietly padding across the floor, to your side of the bed. he made the mistake of drinking a cup of coffee a few minutes after you left and now, he can't sleep, naturally. he bends and presses a kiss to your forehead, in some kind of implied reciprocation. you don't feel it, you don't even stir, but for now, that's alright with him.
heâll put the mistletoe up, maybe in the doorway to the kitchen. and hope to god you both find yourselves under it at the same time.

Mistletoe Magic-Luke hughes
Luke hughes x reader
Masterlist
Snow fell softly in the small New Jersey town, blanketing the streets and trees in a sparkling layer of white. The air was crisp, and the smell of pine lingered from the Christmas trees lining the shop windows. Luke Hughes and his girlfriend, Y/N, had decided it was the perfect day for a winter stroll, wrapped up in warm coats and scarves, ready to enjoy the festive charm of the season.
Y/N adjusted her knitted hat, pulling it snug over her ears as she looked up at Luke, who was grinning down at her, his cheeks already rosy from the cold. "You look cozy," Luke teased, tugging gently on her scarf. "Are you sure you're not going to overheat?"
Y/N laughed, her breath forming little clouds in the cold air. "Says the guy who's always freezing," she shot back. "If anything, you'll be begging to borrow my scarf by the time weâre done."
Luke chuckled, sliding his gloved hand into hers as they began their walk down the snow-dusted path. The town looked like a scene straight out of a Christmas movieâtwinkling lights strung between lamp posts, wreaths hanging on every door, and a light dusting of snow covering everything in sight. It was magical.
They wandered past the ice rink where families skated hand in hand, stopping briefly to watch as children giggled and stumbled on the ice. Y/N smiled, leaning into Luke. "Doesn't this just make you feel like a kid again?" she asked softly, her eyes sparkling as she took in the scene.
Luke nodded, his gaze fixed on her. "Yeah," he said, his voice warm. "But honestly, I think being with you makes everything feel more magical."
Y/N blushed, nudging him playfully. "You're such a sap."
He grinned, squeezing her hand. "Only for you."
As they continued their walk, they came across a small market set up in the town square. Booths were lined with handmade ornaments, holiday treats, and steaming cups of hot cocoa. The smell of cinnamon and roasted chestnuts filled the air, and Y/N couldnât help but stop at a stand selling festive cookies.
âWant one?â she asked, holding up a snowflake-shaped sugar cookie dusted with glittery icing.
Luke nodded, but before she could pay, he quickly pulled out his wallet. âIâve got it,â he said, handing the vendor a few bills.
âSuch a gentleman,â Y/N teased, taking a bite of the cookie and holding it up to Luke for him to taste. He leaned in, taking a bite and grinning as the sweetness hit his tongue.
"Not bad," he said, licking a stray crumb from his lip. "But I know something thatâll taste even better."
Y/N raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Whatâs that?"
Luke smirked but didnât answer, instead tugging her gently toward a nearby booth selling hot chocolate. They each ordered a cup, topped with whipped cream and tiny marshmallows. The warmth of the drink seeped through their gloves as they stood together, sipping and watching the snow continue to fall.
âThis is perfect,â Y/N murmured, leaning against Luke as they shared a quiet moment. The world around them seemed to fade, leaving just the two of them in their little bubble of happiness.
Luke glanced up, his eyes lighting up as he noticed something hanging from a nearby tree. âHey,â he said, nudging Y/N. âCome here for a second.â
She followed his gaze, her brow furrowing slightly as she tried to figure out what he was looking at. When they reached the spot, Luke stopped and pointed up. âLook.â
Y/Nâs eyes widened as she saw the sprig of mistletoe hanging above them, tied with a festive red ribbon. She laughed softly, looking back at Luke. âDid you plan this?â she asked, her tone teasing.
Luke grinned, his cheeks turning a deeper shade of pinkânot just from the cold. âMaybe,â he admitted, stepping closer to her. âBut if I did, would you really mind?â
Y/N shook her head, her heart fluttering as she looked up into his warm, brown eyes. âNot one bit.â
Luke didnât waste another second. He leaned in, his hands gently cradling her face as he pressed his lips to hers. The kiss was soft and sweet, the kind that made the world around them melt away. The snow continued to fall, landing softly on their hair and shoulders, but neither of them noticed. All that mattered was the moment they were sharing.
When they finally pulled away, Y/N smiled up at him, her eyes sparkling with happiness. âThat was pretty perfect,â she said softly.
Luke chuckled, brushing a stray flake of snow from her cheek. âIâve been waiting for the right moment all day,â he admitted. âAnd I couldnât let a mistletoe moment pass us by.â
âWell,â Y/N said, looping her arms around his neck, âIâm glad you didnât.â
They stood there for a while longer, basking in the magic of the moment before deciding to head back to the warmth of their home. As they walked hand in hand, Luke couldnât help but steal glances at Y/N, his heart swelling with love.
Later that evening, they curled up on the couch with a blanket draped over them, the soft glow of the Christmas tree lighting up the room. Y/N rested her head on Lukeâs chest, her fingers tracing lazy patterns on his sweater.
âYou know,â she said, her voice barely above a whisper, âtoday might just be my favorite day ever.â
Luke smiled, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. âMine too,â he said. âAnd thereâs plenty more where that came from.â
With the snow still falling outside and the warmth of their love filling the room, it was clear that this was just the beginning of a holiday season theyâd never forget.

â. đ Ë Under the mistletoe ! . . . ( 輿ćĺ )
â pairing: 輿ćĺ x readerâ contains: fluff â now playing:ä¸ĺéč
Up on stage, the lights were so blinding you almost couldn't make out your surroundings.
Though looking to your right you could see your tall boyfriend, looming over you in his red and white fluffy coat. You wanted to tell him how cute he looked, though he'd probably grimace at you, so you settled for admiring him instead.
Amongst the never-ending cheers heard from the crowd, a second of silence fell over the arena; Snow falling down.
Whose idea it was to do an open-roof arena show during the dead of winter was beyond you, though the sight was nice.
You had gotten so utterly distracted, watching the snow fall like a child on Christmas Eve, that you hadn't even noticed the roar of gasps and screams coming from the fans. Shocked you looked around, confused until you looked behind you, seeing Heeseung, holding a mistletoe above you, laughing manically, as if he had just pulled the best prank ever seen.
You look at Riki, smirking at Heeseung, but unable to hide the blush that rose to his cheeks and the tips of his ears. Luckily for him, no one could see it besides you and Heeseung.
Riki looks back at you, debating what to do as the crowd continues screaming. But, before he can make the choice, you chose for him.
You grabbed his coat and pulled him down, pulling his hood off in the process, and you kissed him on the cheek. Nothing scandalous but enough to make Heeseung yell "She did it!!" with glee as he jumped away.
As everyone's surprised gasps continued you let go of Riki, walking away and giggling. Leaving him dumb-founded and blushing so much that even the fans might be able to pick it up.
You knew you weren't supposed to actually do it, you guys could get in trouble.
But considering you can just push it off as 'The rule of the mistletoe', you took your chance to show your love for your adorable boyfriend.
BONUS SCENE:
"You are so cute in your little Santa jacket" You emphasized the cute part.
You knew how badly Riki wanted to be seen as mature and cool in your eyes, but you just couldn't help it. He looked so utterly adorable dressed in red and fluffy white, and you just had to let him know.
This is why when he first stepped out in it, you grabbed his face and fluttered him in kisses, muttering how cute he was in between each kiss.
"Stooooooooooooppppp" He whined like a child.
He was overly sleepy today, even before the concert due to how busy his day was.
But this made him all the cuter; He was clingy whenever he got sleepy, which sure he's clingy all the time, but when he's sleepy he's even clingy around other people, which is rare.
Eventually, you let him breathe and looked at him while still holding his face to your level. You smiled at him, just admiring his beauty.
Each mole the makeup had failed to cover, the way his eyes were so sleepy but so sweet, the small smile that had crept on his face during your kiss attack, and the way his lips were pouting slightly.
He was upset you had stopped, "Kiss me again"
It caught you off guard, Riki wasn't bold, even when he was tired, so it shocked you.
"Are you going to stand there and look dumb or are you going to kiss me again" That shocked you even more, putting a confused look on your face.
But Riki wasn't feeling very patient, so he kissed you instead, it was slow and sweet but not too romantic.
Just a simple sleepy kiss.
Riki stood back up and started walking away, leaving you to sit there in surprise and giddy-ness.
"Your little Santa hat is cute by the way" you looked at him, he wasn't looking back at you but you could still see the redness on his ears.
I think his actions shocked him just as much as they did you.
I think the bonus scene is longer then the story itself... sorry

under the mistletoe
parings : isaac garcia x fem!reader
warnings : none really just kissing
Its the day of the Christmas party and you are so excited but first you have to go to school. You got ready and packed candy canes to give out to people at your school. About ten minutes later you were now at school you saw one of your friends Isaac. You went up to him âCandy cane for youâ
He smiled âThanksâ you guys were walking the halls together everyone thought you two were together most of the time but you guys were just good friends but Isaac on the other hand would have loved that heâs always liked you but you seem to never notice.
âYou going to the Christmas party?â He asks you were busy handed out candy canes but still heard him âHell yeah! Also I heard thereâs gonna be a photo both and we should take some together!â He nodded âYeah sureâ you handed out the last candy cane âGod I love Christmas⌠well Iâll see you tonight bye!â You said as you walked to your class.
It was partner time in math class and you were talking with your friend Jackie trying to convince her to go âOkay come on! Please go.. Cole is going..â she laughed softly âThereâs nothing going on between me and Cole!â You knew she was lying âWhatever you say but please go this is my dream! I love Christmas and it wonât be the same without you thereâ
âWell I have nothing to wear!â She says you smirked at her âHave you seen my closet? Iâll lend you somethingâ Jackie sighed as she smiled looking away âFineâ you clapped your hands softly happy she was gonna go. Later on it was finally time Jackie came over to your house trying to find a good outfit.
You picked for her âThis would look good on you!â She tried it on and liked it âOkay.. Iâll wear it what about you!â You grabbed an outfit from your closet. âThis! My mom got it for meâ it was a Santa dress and it came with a Santa hat to. âOh my god y/n.. your really into the Christmas spiritâ Jackie said you smirked and went into your bathroom too chnage you also grabbed some black high-heel boots.
Thirty minutes passed and you finally came out with the outfit and your hair done a little bit of makeup âWhat do you think!â Jackie sighed âFinally youâre done! And you look amazingâ Jackie said with a big smile you thanked her âLetâs go! My momâs gonna take usâ
Jackie nodded and you guys finally left your mom drove you there you guys made it there in ten minutes and it was a big house you thanked your mom and so did Jackie you guys got out the car and your mom drove off saying bye. You looked at the house it had lights flashing and Christmas decorations everywhere âIâm so excited! I been waiting for this all month! Come onâ you grabbed Jackieâs hand and you went inside the house.
You guys went inside and it was crazy people were drinking and dancing with music blasting you guys obviously went to go get a drink first in the kitchen just then Cole came up to you guys âHey Jackie. You look goodâ he said. You knew he liked Jackie from the start you took a sip of your drink âHey Cole have you seen Isaac?â
âHeâs in the backâ you nodded âIâm gonna leave you two to talkâ Jackie gave you a look but you smiled at her and just went to the back of house. There was many more people out there you the saw Isaac talking to one of his friends âIsaac!â You said walking up to him. He turned around âYou look amazing oh my godâ you smiled softly âThank you! So do you!â
It was quiet for five seconds but you remembered âOh my god look the photo shoot! Come on!â You grabbed his hand and led him into the photo shoot you guys put your drinks down and you clicked the button to take the photos. You guys did your thing. You were gonna get out to check the photos but Isaac grabbed your hand âHey wait⌠I need to tell you somethingâ
You sat back down confused but listened anyway âYeah.. what is it?â He sighed âI never thought Iâd say this but with you I felt different.â You made full eye contact with him.
âY/n.. I have feelings for you and I just need to get that off my chest! Youâre an amazing person and very sweet and youâre so beautiful..â you smiled at him you never knew Isaac would say that to you. âYou like meâŚ?â You said and he nodded âMore than anythingâŚâ
You looked up for a second just I see a mistletoe you looked back at him and he was ready. So you went for it and kissed him and he kissed you back it for two minutes and you pulled away. âSo.. do you like me?â He said you laughed softly âI just made out with you of course I like youâ he rolled his eyes âOkay..â
You grabbed his hand once again âLetâs look at the pictures we took!â You guys looked at them laughing.
best. christmas. party. everâŚ.

Everyone decides to be sad about Tommy spending the holidays alone today. I just want to say, I hate you all. Especially @mmso-notlikethat with this post. As payback for making me cry my way into insomnia, I wrote this on my phone instead of sleeping.
By the time he knocks on the door, Tommy still has no idea what to expect. âWear something nice, weâre celebrating tonight,â thatâs the only instruction heâs received from Evan, his boyfriend once again. Tommy canât help but smile at the mere thought of finally allowing himself to say that name.
He has a burgundy dress shirt on with a pair of light grey slim fit pants. Simple, but elegant, hopefully properly dressed for this undisclosed commemoration. March is not known for its holidays, so whatâs the occasion that calls for such festivity? They did meet last March at the cruise ship rescue, maybe that was it? Or perhaps Evan is having some sort of career advancement? Theyâve been back together for just a few weeks, thereâs simply not enough time for Tommy to catch up on Evanâs ever so eventful life. To that, Tommy silently mourn the time theyâve lost, due to his own cowardice.
âHey â Hey,â Evan takes a step outside of the door to greet Tommy with a quick peck on the lips. Tommy lets the younger man drag him into the loft without much reaction, because heâs still confused by the sight in front of him: Evan in his usual navy blue button up, dark jeans and⌠a Christmas hat?
Inside the loft is a jumble of sparkly festive decorations. To his left, he sees âHappy Birthday Tommyâ; to his right, âMerry Christmasâ; and deeper into the living space, âHappy New Yearâ.
âJee and Mara helped setting these up,â Evan says while taking half of a roast turkey out of the oven. âThis one is from Bobby. He said half a bird is enough for the two of us, if we donât want to suffer through leftover for the next 7 days.â He then sets the tray next to some roasted vegetables and a casserole. âThe casserole is from Chimney, but Iâm pretty sure itâs Maddieâs recipe. Hen got you a cake. I think she said something about being sure you would like it. We can have it for dessert. Oh, and the champagne is fromâŚâ
âEddie, because he canât cook.â Tommy cuts in.
âExactly!â
âEvan, whatâs going on here?â
Evan steps closer, taking both of Tommyâs hands into his own, âYou told me the other day that you spent your 40th birthday alone⌠I only realized later that you were probably on your own for the entire holiday season, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, Valentineâs Day. I know it doesnât come close to the real thing, but I was thinking maybe we could make up for a few key moments that we missed.â He dims the lights in the loft with a remote control and fiddles with something on the dining table. Suddenly, the whole room is lit up with colorful patterns and twinkling stars. âI couldnât get any firework around here, so I borrowed this star projector from Christopher.â
âOh⌠Evan,â Tommy sighs, eyes already hazy with tears.
âIâm not asking you to move in with me or to make major commitments. Iâm not asking for anything in return at all. This is⌠a promise, from me to you. No matter what happens, what becomes of us in the future, Iâll be there when you need me, we all will.â
Evan says earnestly, with utmost conviction in his tone. The clarity in his eyes reminds Tommy of that day at the cafĂŠ terrace, almost a year ago. âI just want you to know, Tommy, youâre no longer alone.â
A few drops of tears escape Tommyâs eyes, but before he can respond, Evan pulls out a mistletoe from his pocket and dangles it over their heads.
âYou have to kiss me now.â Evan says with a cheeky grin. Tommy waits no time to capture those smiling lips with his own, kissing him with all the love and gratitude in his heart.
âI love you, Evan. Iâm so lucky to have you.â Tommy pulls him into a warm embrace.
âI love you too.â Now itâs Evanâs turn to tear up.
Tommy pulls back a little and asks, âhey, would you mind if we celebrate Valentineâs Day first?â
âOh, you mean youâre interested in the Valentineâs Night activity?â
âDepends on what you have in mind.â
âCome upstairs. Iâll show you.â
#there mightâve been a little helicopter crash before this#and the entire 118 went all out to rescue him even though he broke Buckâs heart#so he decided to be brave for once and believe in love#thatâs how they got back together#bucktommy#tommy kinard#bucktommy ficlet

@steddiemas day 7 - mall and/or workplace WC: 952 | Rating: M (for language) No content warnings, full tags on ao3
Update: @doomcheese made lovely lovely art of them and you should go look at it and show it and her all the love!!! đĽ°
Jingle Boy Rock
Wearing the usual Scoops Ahoy uniform was bad enough 11 months out of the year. Wearing it in December was fucking miserable.Â
Gone were their usual hats, and in their place were elf hatsâ the kind that were red with green trim, with a bell on the end and giant felt elf ears on the sides. They were given bright red shorts, with a green and red striped shirt that had bells hanging from the spikes around the collar.Â
Steve would have preferred to wear the regular uniform everywhere every day for the rest of his life than wear the goddamned elf outfit all month long.Â
Especially when Eddie fucking Munson, the goddamn bane of his existence, worked right across the mall, at the record store. Eddie had taken one look at the Scoops uniform and decided that he was going to be the biggest nuisance in Steveâs life. Every lunch break, every time he was bored, every time he just felt like it, he was there. Leaning against the freezer and smiling that crooked smile. Steve really didnât want to know how much worse the wheedling was going to get when Eddie saw their holiday uniforms.Â
âJingle boy!âÂ
Steve groanedâ he hadnât been at work for five fucking minutes, and already Eddie was calling across the mall to him. He pushed both hands over his face and grabbed the hat to pull it off. âHe only does that because he always gets a reaction out of you,â Robin pointed out. At least her outfitâ a red dress with a green shirt underneath it and matching white and green striped tightsâ was cute.Â
âHe does that because heâs a pain in the ass,â Steve said. He dropped the elf ears onto the counter and leaned back against it with his arms crossed over his chest. âI canât deal with this today.â âRight. Like you donât love it.â Robin shook her head. âJust kiss him already, dingus.â Steve had heard this at least five times already, and just like he had every other time he waved it away. âDo you say that shit to him, too?â
âNo, just to you.â She pushed away from the counter. âHey, Eddie.â âHey Buck!â Eddie sauntered over to the counter. Surprisingly he was wearing a hat, too, but it was black velvet with white fur trim.Â
âSantaâs goth now?â Steve asked. âMetal, actually. I have to shake things up somehow, right?â Eddie leaned against the freezer. âI like the new getup. Itâs very⌠âHallmark threw up on me.ââ
Steve rolled his eyes. âDo you need something, Munson? Some of us actually have work to do.â
âNo oneâs here,â Robin pointed out. She just grinned when Steve glared at her.Â
âIâm actually here âcause I have something for you,â Eddie said. For the first time that Steve could recall, Eddie actually looked⌠nervous.Â
âYou have something⌠for me?â he asked.Â
âYeah.â Eddie pulled a box out of his pocket. âItâs not a big thing, just⌠something that made me think of you.â He slid the box across the counter and tapped the lid with his fingers. âGo ahead, open it.â
âItâs only the 7th,â Steve said.Â
âI know, but I want you to open it early.â Eddie tucked his hands into his back pockets. âPlease?â
âYou said âplease.â Does that mean somethingâs gonna jump out of the box at me?â Steve joked. He untied the pretty red ribbon and took the lid off. Inside was the cutting of a plant, just a stem with a few little shoots that ended in green leaves and little white berries. There was a matching red ribbon tied around it.Â
âIs thisâŚâ Steve looked at Eddie. He wondered vaguely if his cheeks were as pink as Eddieâs were. â...mistletoe?â
âYeah.â Eddie ducked his head so his hair fell into his face. âI, um⌠I realized that I donât think my flirting has been working? And I figured, before I turned you off of me foreverâŚâ
âWaitâ wait, youâve been flirting with me?â Steve asked. âSince when?â
Eddie looked at him with those big, deep eyes. âSince I walked in and said âhey, big boyâ? What did you think I was doing?â
âTrying to get under my skin!â Steve said. âAre youâ really?â
âI wasnât trying to get under your skin. Maybe in your panââ âHey! Maybe you two should go to the breakroom to finish this conversation!â Robin said. âQuickly, though, Santaâs almost here and that means weâre gonna be packed.â
Steve caught Eddieâs hand and tugged him towards the back room that had a couch, two folding chairs, and a wobbly card table. âYouâve really been flirting with me?â he asked.Â
It made sense, when he thought back to all the time Eddie spent tugging at his scarf or flicking his hat, talking about his shorts andâ
âOh my god, Iâm an idiot.â Steve shook his head and lightly hit himself in the forehead with his fistâ a move he wanted to repeat when the bells around his neck jingled with the movement. âOh my god!â
Eddie giggled and wrapped his fingers around Steveâs hand to stop him from doing that. âBe nice to yourself,â he said, and Steve was shocked when Eddie leaned forward to kiss his forehead. âAnyway, Stevie⌠my gift. Whatâd you think?â
âI think⌠that itâs bad luck, if we let it go to waste.â Steve lifted it out of the box by the stem and leaned in with a smile.Â
He wasnât sure what the mistletoe was supposed to mean exactly, but as their lips met, and as his fingers curled into Eddieâs soft hair, Steve found that he was more than willing to find out.Â

MISTLETOE, BUT ACTUALLY HOLLY
âž ft. tetsuro kuroo
âž sfw. because who doesn't find the tradition amusing? 920
somebody on the nekoma boys volleyball team thought it would be funny to hang mistletoe above the clubroom door. it was all in good fun, taking advantage of a year old holiday tradition to laugh at the embarrassed and defensive expressions of his fellow teammates as they tried to escape from the obligatory kiss in a fluster.
it was kuroo. kuroo was the somebody who thought it would be funny.
it was actually holly, and heâd explain the differences in the plant without anyone asking or caring, but the tradition still stood. his mom had asked him to rummage around in a box tucked away with old decor to see if she could find anything remotely festive to celebrate the holiday season. as he was rummaging around through bunches of tangled strings of fairy lights with dead bulbs and old gingerbread kits, his eyes brightened in curiosity as he retrieved a small plastic holly plant from the very bottom of the pile.Â
and heâs sure glad he went through with his plan to bring it into school, too, because the look on yakuâs face as he grew red with anger and shouted over his embarrassment at walking under the plant with lev was absolutely priceless.Â
ânow the two of you gotta kiss.â he laughed as he leaned against the lockers, arms crossed over his chest. yaku gave him a murderous look.Â
âwe arenât doing anything!âÂ
lev, too amused with admiring and flicking the mistletoe (which was shorter than him), didnât pay much mind to yakuâs disgust, though if had noticed, he probably wouldâve taken a disappointedly offended stance at his suggestion.Â
âguess youâre in a festive mood, kuroo.â kai muttered as he glanced at him with a sort of nervous smile, removing his jacket. kuroo chuckled.Â
âjust thought it would be fun. i thought you of all people would get a kick out of it, yamamoto.â kuroo turned toward his junior with the distinct blonde mohawk, who only scowled at him from over his shoulder as he opened his locker.Â
âyou better watch your back, kuroo. youâre next!â he pointed an accusatory finger at him, still disgruntled over the fact that he had (nearly) walked into the club room in sync with kenma. kuroo scoffed.Â
âlike you could get me!âÂ
âyeah? stand under the doorway, then!â yaku chimed in, shooting him an irritated glare. kurooâs eyes darted between him and the mistletoe at the door. there was only a brief pause in between before kuroo strided toward the door and lingered at the threshold, teasingly taking steps in and out of the club room. yaku hissed.Â
âsee? canât get me.â he smirked, and with that, the rest of his body, along with his face, disappeared behind the wall and heading to unlock the gym.Â
on his return back, kuroo puffed out a breath of fog and shivered. it had snowed the night before, leaving a strong chill in the dry air, and he was eager to get inside the club room as quickly as possible to where the heat was.Â
just as he was about to step inside, however, he heard a voice, and immediately recognizing it, his heart somersaulted in his chest.
âkuroo!â it cried, and it sounded close too, so close that kuroo instantly felt his face warm when he turned around and was immediately met with your face only inches from him.
your cheeks were rosy from the cold, even despite a scarf wrapped snug around your neck and a hat keeping your head warm. your jacket also zipped up to your chin, and he couldnât help but grow increasingly nervous with every passing moment he spent looking at your eager expression.Â
it only took kuroo a single semesterâs worth of partnerwork for him to grow utterly hopeless around you--and everyone knew it. it was hard for anyone to miss his clumsy demeanour or tinted cheeks around you, so much so it was a miracle that somehow you hadnât picked up on all the signs.Â
fumbling with his hands, tripping over his words, prolonged eye contact; he shrinks when he thinks about how he's reduced to a klutz around you.
âkuroo, hey! i'm glad i was able to catch you! i have these papers from minaho sensei that you missed when you were on your away game.âÂ
you extended a hand to hand him said papers, slightly crumpled in your freezing grip. he quickly took them from you upon noticing.Â
âoh, thank you so much. i donât know what i would do withoutââÂ
âooooooou, kuroo, you sly bastard! you had to have planned that!âÂ
the two of you both looked in toward the classroom at a disgruntled, shirtless yamamoto, who seemed so distressed you were almost taken aback. kuroo narrowed his eyes. Â
âwhat the hell are you talking aboâ-?â
and then the green above his head caught his peripherals, and amidst the cold, kuroo started to sweat.Â
the two of you slowly looked up in unison at the mistletoe, the mischief device of kurooâs own division, gleaming in the sun. you had stepped onto the threshold under the mistletoe, resulting in the two of you now both stuck having to fulfill in a year old tradition.Â
truly, it was a miracle you didnât catch the signs.Â
yakuâs eyebrow shot up in satisfaction, fulfilling kuroo's previous position with his arms crossed over his shoulder and leaning against the lockers. âgot you.âÂ
the two of you slowly turn toward one another with wide eyes and flustered expressions.Â
truly, it wasn't so much a miracle that kuroo didnât catch the signs either.

AINâT A LONELY CHRISTMAS SONG â j.m
pairing: dad!jj maybank x mom!reader warnings: sexual innuendos (sort of), jj being a tad mistletoe obsessed, your daughters get into a tiny disagreement, mentions of pregnancy, i think that's it author's note: so i was trying to stay away from using names, but it was getting repetitive saying your older daughter and your younger daughter over and over so i gave them names. hopefully you find them cute LOL. also, this isn't technically part of my holiday event, but i wanted to write this to sort of kick things off âĄď¸ naughty or nice ! ๨ŕ§
âCâmon, pretty girl. Itâs getting hard holdinâ on like this. You sure itâs not too big?â
âWe just need to finesse it a bit. Nudge it a little to the left ân then we can slide it in.âÂ
Beads of sweat started to form on JJ's forehead. His muscles were starting to cramp and he had to hold his breath to make sure he didnât physically combust. âOkay, baby. How âbout now? âM I good?âÂ
âYeah. Okay. Youâre good.âÂ
With a collective heave, JJ pushed while you pulled, but the oversized tree seemed determined to resist. Then, after numerous strategic twists and turns, you managed to get the tree inside of your shared home. Needles of pine littered across your wooden floors like confetti.Â
JJ chuckled as he looked at the slightly dishevelled tree. âWell, you said you wanted the entryway to look memorable, right?â
You sent a glare his way. âNot what I meant, J.âÂ
Soon, you heard the pitter-patter of tiny feet against your stairs, followed by two adorably shocked gasps. Your older daughter Avery sprinted down the steps, her little sister Elle hot on her trail as they rushed over to the two of you.Â
âWoah! Big tree!â
âBig tree,â Elle echoed in agreement. JJ crouched down, scooping her into his brawny arms and lifting her so she could get a better look. She reached out, her small fingers brushing against one of the branches and she retreated with a curious and excited squeal.Â
âYeah, I think Mama went a little overboard. You agree?âÂ
Avery clung to your side, her arms circling your hips as her chubby cheek smushed against your thigh. Big blue eyes gleam as they stare up into yours. âI think itâs perfect.âÂ
You broke out into a smile, smoothing out some of the frizz on the top of her head. âMe too. Daddy just doesnât see our vision.âÂ
JJ rolled his eyes at that.Â
â
Soon enough, Christmas music swirled through the air, and the sweet fragrance of your festive candle made your home smell like its own winter wonderland.Â
JJ used his manpower to retrieve all of your decorations from your basement, earning a sweet but fleeting kiss from you before you lugged it all over to the tree.
Boxes upon boxes of ornaments and other decor littered around the room, messily so as your girls dove in with eagerness. Their decorating skills were definitelyâŚquestionable, but neither of you could deny how adorable they looked as they overflowed the tree with everything they could find.Â
JJ instantly recognized that caliber of enthusiasm, knowing that his gorgeous girls had no doubt inherited it from their mom. The woman of his dreams had passed on everything he loved about her to their children, and it warmed his heart.Â
âLook at this, babe,â you said, peering at your husband over your shoulder.Â
JJ abandoned his place on the couch, crouching down beside you to get a look at what you were showing him. It was an ornament, a very worn one. Inside laid a picture of the two of you, huddling together with bright, toothy grins and Santa hats on your heads. You couldnât have been more than twelve years old at the time. Your parents had invited JJ to stay over for Christmas, knowing full well that Luke wouldnât try to give him much of a memorable day. Theyâd gone over the top, getting double the amount of presents and matching pyjama sets for the both of you. Youâd crafted gingerbread houses (in which JJ had tried to make a competition out of it and lost severely), drank copious amounts of hot chocolate, and watched Christmas movies until you slumped together on the couch in deep slumber.Â
JJ smiled fondly. Those times were so precious to him, then and now. Heâd just started to recognize that he was nursing a crush on you, and being with you at your favourite time of the year only made him fall for you more. Sure, he was just a kid in middle school. But that didnât mean he was too young to realize how much adoration he held for you in his heart.Â
âYou were so cute,â you gushed, turning your face to him so you could kiss his cheek. âBaby JJ.âÂ
He arched a brow. âYou sayinâ Iâm not cute anymore?âÂ
A laugh bubbled from your throat. âOf course not. But look at those cheeks. So squishy.â You pinched one of his cheeks, maybe a tad too hard, and he shoved your hand away, massaging the soreness away.Â
âOuch, baby.âÂ
You leaned in to plant another kiss on the apple of his cheek but were interrupted when a sudden and spirited fight broke out between your daughters. Both of your heads snapped toward them, your shared bubble of love now popped.Â
âI want the star!â Elle insisted, clutching onto the golden tree topper with all her little might.Â
âNo fair! You did it last time!â Averyâs arms crossed over her chest and she stomped as her tantrum began to surface.
JJ, sensing the inevitable meltdown about to ensue, intervened with his signature, charming grin. The one that had convinced you to marry him and had managed to give you two beautiful children. âAlright, âlil ladies. Thereâs no need to fight. You can both do it together, yeah? Can you do that?âÂ
JJâs hands reached out, tickling each of their sides and watching their twin frowns dissolve into smiles. Giggles filled the air and warmth bloomed in your chest instantly.Â
âOkay, Daddy,â Elle spoke, giving in to her favourite person in the world. Her eyes drifted onto her sister. ââM sorry, Avey.âÂ
âThatâs real nice of you, Ellie,â JJ praised, kissing her temple. Then his gaze moved onto her sister. âHow âbout you, Aves?â
Your eldest nodded, now looking bashful. Avery, ever the sweetest (despite her occasional outbursts), caved in the moment her little sisterâs nickname for her hit her ears. âIâm sorry too. We can be a team.â
Your smile grew larger, making your face sore.
You and JJ had been through it all together. From friends to lovers, and everything in between. Heâd plucked his heart out of his chest and handed it to you on a silver platter without thinking twice about it. The power of his love was almost surreal. But the most magical thing you got to witness while being with him was watching him transform into an amazing father. Sure, he was a goofball who was constantly bouncing off the walls with all that energy pumping through his veins twenty-four-seven, but when it came to your little girls, he was a natural. Hell, your theory was proven to be right yet again when he handled that impending tantrum with just the flash of his smile.
âWhat are you lookinâ at, goof?â
JJâs voice broke you out of your daze. He was standing now, each of your girls propped up on both of his hips as he carried them. Avery and Elle eyed you curiously while their hands both held the golden star.
You gave him a shrug, walking over to them. Your arms wrapped around all three of them as best as you could manage. âYouâre all just so lovely.âÂ
JJ burned to kiss you. He almost did. But when Elle whined about how her arm was getting tired from holding the tree topper up, he was returned to reality.
The kiss can wait, he thought.
âAlright, my little star commanders. Letâs do this thing.â
He carefully stepped up onto the stool sitting in front of the large tree, and with a team effort, Avery and Elle strategically placed the star at the very top. They clapped and cheered together, high-fiving in victory once JJ stepped down and back to let them admire their work.Â
âNice work, babies. You killed it.â
â
You passed through the living room and into the kitchen, taking note of the mistletoe that your husband had sneakily hung in the doorway. You shook your head, smiling to yourself as you headed over to the cupboard to grab some mugs and the hot chocolate mix. As you waited for the milk to warm up, your eyes landed on the alternate entrance into the kitchen. More mistletoe dangled from the doorframe. You knew without a doubt that youâd find it in every entryway that adorned your home.Â
You made all four cups, completing them with dollops of whipped cream and chocolate shavings. You placed them on your wooden tray, but before you could pick it up and bring it to your family, strong arms wrapped around your frame. The ownerâs chin dropped onto your shoulder after leaving a kiss there.Â
âHi, Mama,â he rasped. You could hear the mischievous grin in his tone. âThese look amazing.âÂ
âI figured we deserved something sweet for all our hard work,â you responded. You turned around in his hold, your hands running up the lengths of his arms and coming to a stop on his shoulders. âNice job with the mistletoe, by the way.âÂ
He shrugged casually, but his smirk only grew wider. âCanât be out here wasting any opportunities. Yâknow I canât live without your kisses.âÂ
âMhm.â
âHey. âM serious. Gotta be prepared.â JJ pulled something from his pocket, and his arm raised over your heads. âSee? Prepared.âÂ
You laughed softly, leaning up to peck his lips. âYou donât need to carry that around. Iâll kiss you any time you want.âÂ
âThat a promise?â
âThe biggest promise, Maybank. Those lips are mine.â You granted him another kiss, this one languid and loving. âNow letâs go check up on our troublemakers. Itâs way too quiet in there.âÂ
â
The four of you settled in on your couch, the fireplace glowing and providing a coziness to the room. You all found refuge under one of your thick, fluffy blankets, with both girls plopped in yours and JJ's laps. The soft, golden cast of the lights on your tree illuminated the room enchantingly.
Avery nestled against JJ, her head resting comfortably on his chest, while Elle found a cozy spot in your hold. The familiar tune of Where Are You, Christmas filled the room, Cindy Lou Whoâs sweet voice carrying out the lullaby that seemed to put everyone at ease.Â
As the plot unfolded, the Grinch was giving a dramatic monologue at the annual Whobilation festival in Whoville. Even with all the chaos ensuing as the he burned the town tree and destroyed the celebration, Averyâs eyes drooped, and Elleâs rhythmic breathing told you that she was already fast asleep. You shifted her into a more comfortable position gently and looked over at JJ. His eyes were fixated on the sleeping girls, a soft smile playing on his rosy lips.Â
âIâve dreamt of nights like this.â His voice carried in a whisper, careful not to wake the kids up.Â
âYeah?â
He nodded, his expression clear with contentment. âYeah. When I was younger, Iâd just sit ân imagine what itâd be like to have a home, a familyâŚall of this. Luke never gave me any of that.â
His arms tightened around Avery, who curled into his chest further in her sleep. âNever thought Iâd have this, yâknow? Never thought Iâd get to call you my wife â I still canât believe I get to call you that, by the way. Or have a real home, a real family. I love you guys more than I ever thought I could.âÂ
âWe love you. The girls are crazy about you, ân so am I. Weâre so lucky to have you, baby.â You extended your arm toward him, placing your hand on his shoulder and giving him a comforting squeeze.
He shook his head. âNah. Iâm lucky. You made this real for me. I never thought I deserved any of this, but you never stopped trying to convince me that I could have it all. This is all âcause of you, pretty girl.âÂ
âIt was a team effort,â you assured him. âThe house, the girls. Our life. This was both of us.â
âWhen you talk like that, it makes me wanna give you another baby.â
You bit your lip through an uneasy smile. âI donât think itâs gonna take that much workâŚâ
His blonde brows pulled together in confusion. âHuh?â
âIâm pregnant.â
JJâs eyes widened once the words sank in, showcasing a mixture of surprise and overwhelming joy. His smile was so bright that it gave your decorated tree some tough competition.
âReally?â He whispered, breathless.
You nodded, your smile mirroring his. Heâd always had that effect on you, always had such contagious enthusiasm. âYeah. Looks like weâre getting our dream again.â
With a lack of better judgment, JJ let out a whoop of excitement that echoed throughout the room. He had temporarily forgotten about the peaceful slumber that had taken over your girls. âFuck yeah!â
You giggled softly, placing a finger on your lips and shushing him. âShh. Youâre gonna wake them.â
He half-ignored your words, leaning in to kiss you deeply. ââM sorry,â he mumbled against your lips. ââM just excited.â
âItâs okay, babe. Iâm happy youâre happy.âÂ
Your head tilted, resting on his shoulder. You settled further into the couch, feeling the warmth of the joyful news youâd just shared. JJ swore to himself that he didnât think he could get any luckier, but in a matter of mere moments, he learned that he was wrong. Your family was expanding, and there was more love to be shared. Love he didnât even know he had in him. Each time you have a child, it grows more and more, yet it still shocks him every time it appears on his doorstep.
JJâs head rested against yours after he kissed your hair. If this was how heâd live out the rest of his days â surrounded by the beautiful family you two had created together, heâd never want for anything else. His dream came true, now four times over.Â

I DON'T NEED MISTLETOE TO KISS YOU â F. READER x SUKUNA RYOMEN, who doesnât exactly agree with your human traditions
It is the first Christmas party Sukuna ever went to and itâs really safe to say that most of the traditions are surreal, borderline absurd to him. Especially the one with the hanging weedâŚ? A mistletoe? You couldnât be serious when telling him that if he wants to kiss you, he needs to find himself underneath it with you.
cw: fluffy, suggestive?, lot's of kissing (duh), Sukuna has his own body and he's a grumpy old man â 2,5k words
kissmas masterlist
There is a certain amount of respect Sukuna has grown to expect from people around him ever since heâs got a body of a human. Even though now somewhat mortal, heâs still a king of curses and that alone is enough of a reason to assume that he deserves some honors. You, of course, as his partner, are allowed to respect him a little less, but as Ryomen was sitting on the couch in the apartment you share, wearing the absolute atrocity that you called a Christmas sweater and listening to your rambling about a weird weed he wondered if it could still classify as âa little lessâ.
And it was a fact that you looked quite pretty in the little sweater-skirt combo you wore, the high socks made your thighs look absolutely delicious and the white, fluffy edges from the Santa hat you had on your head made you look almost too cute for your own good, but he wouldnât be mad if you just shut up.
âRyomen, are you even listening?â You whined, pointing a finger of accusation in his direction and, again, looking too adorable for your own safety with the pout your lower lip formed. It took the greatest art of control to not kiss it off your face immediately.
âNo, honestly, not really,â he replied and it should touch him, the way you groaned upset, but at the same time he couldnât help but find you oh-so-sweet at the moment. So sweet, in fact, that heâd gladly eat you.
âI was trying to get you into the Christmas spirit and you are ignoring me,â and you were pouting even more. Great. âItâs our first holidays together and itâs your first Christmas party in this era, you could pay me a little more attention.â
âNo, Iâm paying you all of my attention,â he retorted quickly, his eyes slowly scanning your figure from the tip of your head, down to your feet and back up. âI just tend to lose my interest when I hear something foolish.â
If you wouldnât know the ex-curse well enough, youâd probably feel insulted, but thanks to the many months youâve already spent with him, you know itâs just his way of expressing his thoughts. It made you sigh deeply.
âYou are a human now, you know? You could indulge a little into our foolish traditions.â
âI am wearing this atrocity, am I not?â Sukuna scoffed, getting up and catching you quicker than you managed to run away from him. His strong, long arms wrapped around you, enclosing you in the warm embrace of his chest. âI admit, the human traditions were always below me. Even in my era, I never truly participated in whatever people were doing, but what youâre now telling me sounds straight up absurd to me. I mean, this⌠whatever the fuck that is. Weed thing with kissing?â
âItâs a mistletoe!â
âItâs preposterous,â he snapped quite softly, one of his hands sliding down your back and onto your ass. âI donât need a mistletoe to kiss you and you have my word that I will snap the neck of anyone who dares to use this tradition to touch you.â
âYou will not snap anyoneâs neck, Sukuna Ryomen,â you warned, poking his chest with one of your prettily manicured fingers, the one on which you wear a ring he gifted you not too long ago â golden band with dark red diamonds embedded into the metal, the stones being a perfect representation of a color of his eyes. It was a warning, but he couldnât help but smirk. âAnd during the party you will look for the mistletoe, otherwise youâre not allowed to kiss me.â
âYou cannot be serious.â
âI am.â
And you were, to Sukunaâs greatest dismay, in fact avoiding his kisses as the evening went by. The party at Gojoâs apartment was annoying, but not nearly as much as the fact that you were just so damn stubborn. But you looked so pretty, all smiley and so open, he was willing to push through it all just to see your face twisted in so much happiness. It is, after all, only for you that he even agreed to come and surround himself with the celebrative aura that he had no will to understand. It was enough for him that you enjoyed it.
The apartment had been festively decorated for the holidays. Filled with the warm glow of Christmas lights that were scattered throughout the space, hanging from the walls and even wrapping around the legs of some of the furniture, along with the rows of ribbons and tinsel. A Christmas tree stood tall in the corner, decorated with sparkling ornaments and colorful lights, a large star on top of it. The party was already in full swing and the laughter and cheers of the guests warmed up the air, together with yummy smells of homemade treats, hot chocolate and mulled wine, the merriment adding to the festive magic. Everybody was chatting with one another, enjoying themselves and sharing stories, catching up on the holiday season, cherishing the time.
The music was playing softly in the background, the holiday hits spreading its warm melodies throughout the entire apartment, but in the midst of all the holiday cheer Sukunaâs attention was drawn to you. He watched you laughing and chatting with other guests, with people that usually he would hate but for you he forced himself to tolerate. He observed you mesmerized by your beauty, the way you moved, and though he had seen you countless times before, yet somehow it still never ceased to take his breath away. His eyes drank every detail of you, from the way your eyes sparkled just as brightly as the twinkle lights on the Christmas tree to your bright smile, the soft and subtle curve your lips had on all the time during the evening. He admired the way the few stray strands of hair had fallen from your hairdo and he could have sworn they were just for him to push back behind your ear. The cozy sweater you wore that though he deemed as atrocious, he couldnât deny its vibrant colors made your skin tone pop. You were a sight to behold, an angel he knew he never deserved and yet, you were his. And yet, some of these beautiful smiles you aimed at him, and your hands searched for his, not caring at all about how much red and sorrow his skin had soaked during his lifetime.
âYouâre not enjoying this, arenât you?â Your soft, sweet voice poured into Sukunaâs mind, pulling him out the trail of thoughts and admiration.
âI couldnât possibly care less about the Christmas spirit,â he replied, wrapping his arm around your waist as you sat down next to him on one of the sofas. Out of habit he leaned in to have a taste of your lips when you put a finger on top of his own. âWhat the fuââ
âMistletoe, remember?â You grinned, a playful tease apparent in your voice.
âI already told you that I donât need a mistletoe to kiss you, did I not?â
âYou did but I also told you that you will need one during the Christmas party, didnât I?â Your retort was both funny to him and annoying and if it wasnât for you, he would have already snapped. There was a thin layer of patience Sukuna had and you were poking through this layer constantly, pushing his buttons and pulling on his nerves. He was ready to say something less than polite, when you spoke again, âplease, âkuna, just for this night,â and the pout that your lips formed made it just that much harder for him to not kiss it away.
Ryomen found it comedic, really. He was considered the strongest of them all, the King of Curses feared for hundreds of years and yet when he was with you, he felt like he could melt into your arms and soften. As he stood in the face of danger, he never felt fear. Whether he was battling nations, facing enemies who had never seen defeat or fighting back a raging fire, his strength and determination never faltered. He was used to people looking up to him, he was used to giving orders and degrade the pawns and yet with you he let his guard down. In your presence, he felt comfortable and at peace with things he would never consider himself doing. The sweater you made him wear, he wouldnât ever even think of putting on because someone asked. The party he was now sitting through, he would never attend if it wasnât for you. And most importantly, there was no way throughout heaven and hell that someone would tell him what he can and cannot do, except from you. You were his weakness and his strength and he knew he would do anything for you, gladly following you to the ends of earth. The very thought of hurting you sent a chill down his spine, you had the power to make him forget everything else in the world and when everyone else would cause his blood to boil, you had the ability to unleash a huddle of butterflies into his stomach. It took him a thousand years to feel something like this. Your love was the only thing that truly scared him, the force that rendered the king completely powerless. But he wouldnât have it any other way and though it made him conflicted, he was willing to follow the silly tradition just to see you smile. But on his own conditions.
âFine.â He grumbled, a smirk already forming on his lips and just by the look of him you knew thereâs an idea blooming in his head and for a moment you wondered if you should be worried or not. He wasnât going to do anything inappropriate in here, right?
âLove you,â you whispered to him to award his willingness to bend his own rules and even gave him the softest of pecks onto his temple before you got back to chatting with your friends. Sukuna was, letâs say, okay with coming to the party but it didnât mean he was going to carelessly chat with sorcerers. He already spent some unwanted time with the brat Yuji, wondering why on earth was that kid so happy. Needless to say, Sukuna was vibing much more with Megumi.
As the time was passing and your boyfriend was looking uncharacteristically relaxed in the festively twinkling surrounding, you managed to feel more at ease as well. You felt the slight burden at first, that you forced him to take part in something he had no wish to participate, something as odd and unknown to his nature as friendly people gathering but turned out he was able to push through the party and not kill or threaten anyone too much. He was sitting so calmly that you managed to forget about the mistletoe.
Thatâs why it took you by the biggest surprise when the strong, familiar arms wrapped around your middle as you got to the balcony to breathe some air and cool yourself, the hot chocolate in your system making a great job at raising your body temperature.
âGot you,â Sukunaâs low tone sounding right next to your ear made you smile and you turned in his embrace to face him. He pulled you close, pressing his large body against yours. âAnd I also got this,â he chuckled, showing you the little branch of mistletoe that he most likely salvaged from the much bigger bouquets inside Gojoâs apartment. He gave you no time to respond when he pressed his lips to yours, kissing you deeply. The impact of his passion pushed you back and as your butt touched the railings, instinctively you grabbed onto him more, melting into safety of his form. If your mind wouldnât be so consumed by the feeling of Ryomenâs lips on yours, youâd probably curse the seventeenth floor Satoru got his apartment on.
There was a hunger to the kiss, it was intense and the passion was electric. It felt like time stood still and all you could do was to lose yourselves in one another. You felt as if you were about to melt into your loverâs body, his warmth pulling you in like a magnet, closer and closer. You leaned into the warmth of his love that sheltered you from the chill air. His embrace made you feel the cold night slip away, when he kissed you, you felt like you and him were the only two people in the world. One kiss led to another and another kiss led to the tongues dancing to the melody of longing and desire. It was magical, it tasted sweet, it was addicting.
You were breathless when Sukuna pulled away, just enough to look at you. The cold winter wind blew through your hair and the knit of your sweater making you shiver as you stood on the balcony overlooking the world below and yet your cheeks were hot and flushed. He was looking at you for a moment, saying nothing but the silence was comfortable. He was examining your features, just softly washed over with the lights coming from inside the apartment. He watched the snowflakes stick to your hair and reddened cheeks and allowed his fingers to brush it away. Then he was kissing you again, pressing himself to you even harder, the kiss sizzling in the cold of the night.
As your lips met, your heartbeat began racing again. Every touch felt like a jolt of electricity, the rush of adrenaline filled both of you with ecstasy and lust that made you forget about the frigid winter air nipping at your nose. Your tongues danced and your breaths grew heavy. Sukunaâs hands were roaming around your body, exploring your curves and sneaking underneath your sweater, but the chill air that he invited there was no match for the heat his hands were leaving on your skin. It was as if he wanted to devour you right here and you couldnât help but to touch him as well.
ââkunaââ you whimpered against his lips, feeling his calloused fingers gripping your thigh. âWait âtill we get home.â
âWhy would I? I got the weed,â he mumbled, a smirk apparent on his mouth as he let his other hand squeeze your butt.
âYes, to kiss me, not to fuck me,â you chuckled, cuddling to his chest, seeking the heated safety his form provided.
âIf youâre gonna tell me I need another herb toââ
âYou donât,â you cut him, giggling softly. âBut the balcony at Gojoâs apartment, during the Christmas party is not the right time for that. Besides, Iâm freezing, so letâs get back inside.â
Sukuna rolled his eyes and you couldnât help but feel all giddy. Of course he was going to find a way to get what he wanted, and of course he was going to do it in the most scandalous way possible.

Bruises
"I feel so...hollow," you said, your voice breaking on the last word. "ButâBut like my feelings are so heavy they could drown me at the same time. I don'tâI don't know when it started, but I can't remember how to be happy without waiting to be punished for it later."
Tears were tracking stains down your cheeks like small rivers, leaking out of your eyes faster than you could stop them. Not that you tried to, anyway, even that seemed exhausting. One thing you could do was avoid Harry's gaze. You felt it like a severe burn as he practically begged you to look at him, but you just couldn't. Not while you were so vulnerable. You felt stripped bare, even more so than the number of times the two of you had been intimate.
"Y/nâ"
"Don't," you said, nearly leaping out of your skin when he rested a hand on your shoulder. You looked up at him then, saw the pain in his eyes at your rejection of his touch. But you couldn't handle it. Your soul felt raw as you said things you never thought you would out loud. "Please don't, I can'tâ"
Harry seemed to understand as he nodded and took a step back, but the concerned furrow of his brow remained, his fingers curling awkwardly at his sides. He'd always been the type to communicate through touchâa squeeze on the shoulder, a tip of your chin, a gentle nose nudge on your cheek, a hand never far away from your person. You knew that he craved touch to comfort people, and yet he stayed put. For that you were thankful, and it helped you find your words again.
"I don't know what's wrong with me," you said, almost too quietly for anything but your thoughts to hear. "IâI don't know why I'm feeling like this, or how I got here, IâI just feel like I'm stuck in this emptiness."
Saying all of that made you want to run and hide. Harry didn't need to know all this, how wrecked you really were inside. No one did. He was just someone who happened to be around when you were at your worst. Normally you were able to keep a lid on your darkest thoughts, but he'd come over when you were in the thick of it, and you couldn't exactly hide how you felt when you were crying uncontrollably for virtually no reason other than it was a Tuesday afternoon and life suddenly felt like one big chore.
Maybe it was the holiday, seeing everyone so happy, hearing songs about falling in love and kissing under mistletoes and commercials that said, "The perfect gift for that someone special!" Being surrounded by so much cheer only left you feeling more hollowed out, more lost than you'd ever thought you'd become.
"Y/n, whyâwhy didn't you say something sooner?"
"Like what?" you laughed bitterly. "That I cry at the drop of a hat and can't handle light teasing from my friends? That I haven't felt right for weeks and getting out of bed feels like a chore? WeâThat's not who we are to each other. IâI have no one."
The words clanged around, grasping onto your heartstrings and convincing you it was true. You had friends and family, but when the darkness reared its ugly head, you always felt hopelessly and inescapably alone. Words deserted you when you needed them most, leaving you to smile and pinch your skin, trying your best not to cry in line at the grocery store or while sitting at your desk at work. It was all too much, too much to handle, and yet you didn't want anyone else but you to share that load, the weight of your inexplicable despair.
"Do you honestly think that?" Harry asked. You couldn't even dignify him with an answer. It had been humiliating to say it once, let alone look him in the eye and say it again. So you just shrugged and wiped your cheek. "You're my friend, Y/n, and I care about you. I'm sorry if I haven't done enough to make you know that."
"It's not just you, H," you sniffled, feeling bad for making Harry uncomfortable. It wasn't his job to make you feel better. Your problems were yours to bear alone. They always had been. "I don'tâI don't know how to do this."
"Do what, love?"
Despite the discomfort of having shared so much, Harry's gentle voice felt like a warm blanket over your shoulders. It made you finally look up to meet his eye. You were surprised to see so much emotion held in them, but you didn't shy away from it like you thought you would. It helped fill that hollow ache a little, made you feel a little less alone.
"I don't know how to deal with this any other way," you said, trying to explain. "I don't...I hate sharing this stuff with people. It makes my skin crawl."
Your body felt heavy, your soul weary, as if no amount of shed tears or leaning on shoulders would ever ebb the emptiness that was taking over you. But you didn't want the pity. You didn't want anyone to worry or look at you differently because of how sensitive you tended to be sometimes. To deal with the myriad of moods that swung on a pendulum day to day, sometimes moment to moment. The pressure of feeling like you should reach out and ask for help was almost worse than the emptiness and despair.
"This is a good start," Harry said, inching just a tiny bit closer. "I just don't want you to think you can't talk to me. You can, Y/n, and I'll listen, or give you space, or help you find professional help, or do whatever it takes to make you smile. Just let me be here for you."
The notion didn't sit well with you at first. It wasn't how you dealt with things, though clearly your methods weren't working. That didn't make letting Harry in any less scary, or any easier. But Harry was still here. You'd broken down, shared just how broken you really were, and he was still here, asking to be someone for you to confide in.
Harry had been your friend for a long time. You ran in the same circles and saw each other often enough that you'd consider him to be someone you were close to. It wasn't until your arrangement that you got to know him more. You'd never had a friends with benefits situation before, but you never imagined it to be so easy. Rules had been sketched out, boundaries were made and kept, and things between you just seemed to work. Even when you didn't see each other for a week or two at a time, there was no awkwardness.
There was no jealousy at parties or possessiveness; you were exclusive, but okay with the idea of ending things should either of you meet someone you wanted to explore a relationship with. You and Harry just clickedâtwo friends who happened to sleep with each other, companions who could hold conversations about their jobs amicably, yet knew every inch of each other's bodies intimately. And now Harry was offering something more, something different.
Nodding, you said, "Thank you."
Harry gave you a small grin, then tentatively reached a hand out to wipe away a stray tear. You let him, not feeling like a startled animal anymore. You knew part of you should've felt embarrassed that Harry had caught you in such a state, that you'd let him see how broken and hurting you were on the inside, and maybe a small part of you did, but you mostly just felt like a weight had lifted off your chest.
"Can I get you anything? Maybe a cup of tea?" he asked, leading you over to your kitchen counter as if it was his home, not yours.
You let him, content to watch him move around your kitchen as if it was his own. He'd been over to your place enough times to know his way around and know how you took your tea.
Sitting in silence, you watched as Harry took a mug that looked like a gingerbread man and one that had a textured, cable-knit sweater design from your cabinet and fixed up two cups of tea. His shoulders flexed beneath his loose shirt, dark brown curls curving every which way at the nape of his neck. The familiarity of this moment was comforting after such an emotionally taxing and foreign afternoon. Harry was here as often as your busy schedules would allow, or you were at his place, neither of you concerned with how much time you spent together.
Though today you hadn't expecting to see him, hence the emotional breakdown. You didn't really plan those kinds of things, but you'd been feeling more down than usual and had been seeing Harry less and less recently as a result. Every text about a next meet-up, whether that was to get lunch or have sex or anything in between, had been rebuffed quickly and kindly. Today he'd shown up out of the blue.
"H?"
"Yeah?" he said, his back still to you.
"Why did you come over today? YâYou didn't text like you normally do."
Harry looked over his shoulder briefly, a small smile playing at his lips. "We hadn't seen each other in a while," he said breezily. "Which is fine, I know we're both busy, but I just had this distinct feeling you were avoiding me."
"I'm sorry," you said, finding it easier to say it when his back was to you. "I don't mean to do that."
"I know," Harry said, that same gentle and easy tone in his voice. "I've always known you're squirrelly about feelings."
You huffed at his choice of words, trying to focus on his humor rather than the fact that he seemed to know you better than you thought he did. You appreciated that he didn't state the obvious, which was that you went way past "squirrelly." The last hour had been emotionally taxing, and you appreciated that Harry offered you a modicum of normalcy.
"Thank you for checking up on me," you said. "You're a good friend, H."
Perhaps better than I deserve, was what you didn't say, because you knew he would scold you for even thinking it.
"Well, my visit wasn't totally innocent," Harry teased as he finally came over with two steaming mugs of tea, yours done just right. There was a faint blush on his cheeks, but didn't say anything more than that.
Raising your brows, you said, "Ah. You couldn't find anyone to watch Hallmark Christmas movies with you, could you?"
Harry chuckled into his mug, taking the excuse you both knew was a lie and ran with it. "Yeah, that's exactly it. I knew you'd understand."
"I wouldn't say to no a cheesy Christmas movie."
"Promise me you'll tell me when you're feeling like this again," Harry said a while later.
You could tell Harry was trying to hide his eagerness to pull you into your room and fire up your TV. His eyes scanned over you briefly, as if he was trying to assess where you were at mentally. It would be hard to see that stare, to know Harry had seen you at your lowest and would constantly be gauging if you were on the verge of another breakdown. But the thought didn't irritate you the way you thought it would. You were surprised to feel a little relieved that you weren't the only one taking care of you, at least for the time being.
You were huddled under a mountain of blankets together. Twinkly lights in your bedroom casting a warm light over you both. You'd meant to put them up earlier in the month, but hadn't made yourself get around to it, the small task falling to the wayside the same way a lot of your everyday chores did. Harry took one look at the forgotten box of lights and got to work, even going as far as putting a looped video of a roaring fireplace in his phone and setting it up next to your television. It was a little silly, and a tad over the top, but you appreciated it all the same, the lengths he was going to ease the ache in your chest as best he could.
He was practically on top of you now, but unlike the events of today, that was something you were used to. Harry liked to sprawl out, specifically with you underneath himâleg over your waist, arm tucked across you to keep you close, face buried in your neck or chin resting on top of your head. He insisted on draping himself over you like a blanket, even before you started sleeping together.
"I don't want to bother youâ"
"Bother me, Y/n," Harry said, his voice gravelly as he gently turned your face to meet his gaze. "I'm not doing my job as your friend if I'm only with you when things are easy orâor good. You're not alone, okay? As long as I'm in your life, I'm in it. Good and bad."
"I'll try."
You tried to blink back tears, a little surprised you had any left to shed. Your face was undeniably puffy and a little dry, and you were tired in a different way than you had been the last few weeks. But these were different tears from earlier. A different emotion took over you as you nodded.
That seemed to satisfy Harry. He kissed your forehead, and you closed your eyes against it, allowing yourself to believe everything he'd said to you today.
You weren't magically fixed, that crushing weight was still waiting for you like a monster under your bed, but you weren't alone. Harry had turned the lights on, showing you that perhaps there was no shame in letting someone see the worst parts of you. Because he was still there, promising to hold your hand and help you until you felt whole again.

âď¸Modern!Mizu Christmas Blurbsâď¸
A/n: Because why the hell not.
âď¸: Hated Christmas or any Holidays, they alway's brought back painful memories of her childhood, of her failed marriage. Well she did hate it until she met you. The sweet little baker, the moment she stepped into that shop she was smitten by you. She found herself enjoying holiday's that she has never enjoyed before.
Tipping her head to the side, Mizu watched you decorate the Christmas Tree.
Feeling eye's on your back you slowly turned around and beamed. Leaning forward you pressed your lip's against her's for a moment. "Decorate the tree with me?"
Mizu's gaze softened as she let her thumb glide across your cheek. "I'd love too."
âď¸: Grinning, you clutched Mizu's hand as you two walked down the streets. Your eyes were glued to all the Christmas displays. "Everything is so beautiful." A gasp then escaped your lips as you noticed a particular display.
"LOOK AT THE PUPPIES AND KITTEN'S SOOOO CUTE." You squealed seeing little Christmas collars, followed by Christmas toy's littering the area. "Can we?"
Sighing, Mizu's shoulder's dropped though a crooked smile formed on her lips. "Fine."
Kissing her cheek, you pulled her into the shop eager to see the cute animal's. "Thank you!"
âď¸: Mizu hummed as her fingers ran up your thigh's, she knew you too had to get to a Christmas party but you looked too good in that little red dress, too good wearing that Santa hat. Grinning she placed a kiss to your inner thigh.
"You've been a naughty girl. I think it's time for me to punish you." She whispered, her fingers grazing your panties. She could hear your heart beat, feel your pulse racing.
And your little nod of approval fueled her own desires , screw the Christmas Party, you and her would have your own fun.
âď¸: Rocking your heel's, you hummed standing under the mistletoe. You were waiting for Mizu to come back with your drinks though a scowl formed on your lips as Taigen stepped forward though before he had a chance to even lean in you watched Mizu place her hand on the man's shoulder pushing him away. "I suggest you back off before your ass end's up on the sidewalk."
"I wasn't going!" Taigen scoffed then rolled his eyes as he walked away. "Whatever."
Giggling, you stepped forward wrapping your arms around her neck. Standing on your toes your lips brushed hers. "You're so cute when you get all jealous."
Mizu huffed then rolled her eyes as her hand clutched your hips. "Whatever."

no need for mistletoe
frankie morales x f!reader | masterlist
summary: all of that led to this. The now. Eyes staring at him as he stands in front of you in a moss-green shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, curls not buried by a hat. âHi.â âHi,â you reply, before heâs ushering you in.
warnings: fluff, soft!frankie, first kisses, christmas vibes, lilâ flirting. brief mention of Frankie being a dad. wordcount: 2.6k
to @nothoughtsjustmeds - merry christmas from me, to you. you gave such amazing prompts, i tried to include as many as i could, and here it is. i hope you love this as much as i heart you.
When the cab comes to a stop, you find yourself outside of a very nice house, on a very quiet street.
Dropping your gaze down to the address on your phone, swallowing. Your nerves suddenly begin doing their thing to your gut again. Working. Gnawing at your insides as you flick your gaze back up to the number on the mailbox.
Thatâs when you take in the little âSanta Stop Hereâ sign stuck into the perfectly maintained grass, the faux snow footprints which lead up to the porch and the array of twinkling lights that set this one out against all the others.
And, honestly, itâs just what you imagined from his home.
Not that it stopped the nerves from swirling, doubling up inside youâapprehension having begun to mount itself on top of worry.
Taking a deep breath, you pull out some notes, paying with a smile, before stepping out with a keep the changeâand a Merry Christmasâand a slam of the cab door.
It takes everything within you not to yank the door open and get back inside. Even more not to turn and look at the driver, to not show how nervous you were.
Instead, you stare ahead. Steadying yourself as tyres crunched gravel, silence washed itself over you.
And then you were alone. No way of turning backânot without a phone call and another long wait.
Glancing around, you hover your eyes over the homes on either side of the one youâre standing outside of. Noticing the differences in how theyâre dressed, how subtly was more one style and perfectionism the other.
This house looked entirely different. And, even if your fingers shook as you clutched your phone, a smile still managed to cut through. Your mind concocting images of the boys all banding together to hang lights, orders being flungâreminiscent of when theyâre all attempting to train Benny (all at fucking once).
Biting down on your lip, you blow out a nervous breathâbecause youâre here now. No point in dwelling. You just need to walk up, rap your knuckles on the door and say hello. Simple. Easy.
Yet, it takes another minute to place one foot in front of the other. Hand stuffing your phone into your pocket as youâthe heels of your boots catching on the stone path, cautious not to smudge the prints that lead the way to his front door.
It had Benny who had told you the more the merrier. But would more mean you?
You who barely knew much about them. Outside the version of them you see at the gym.
The one you had inherited, been given, had handed to youâitâs what your dad would have wanted being said when the keysâall heavy and scaryâwere placed in your palm. No business knowledge, just given the tip to be good to the regularsâthe regulars mainly being Benny, his brother and his friend.
It had begun with letting him in at odd hours. Then youâd gotten Willâs number, for when he was in town, for when he needed access to the gym to help his brother train.
Then, when their visits became more routine, thatâs when you began staying later to do âadminââcode for wanting to be around just in case.
The just-in-case is the reason half your wardrobe is dumped on your bed and your nerves are frantic from the cab ride over.
Teeth nipping at your lip, you second-guess the bottle in your handâthe little paper bag of treats youâd managed to grab before the store closed. You begin to re-question your outfit, whether you were over or underdressed, whether heâd be mad that his friend just invited youâ
A flurry of thoughts, all rushing around like snow in a storm. All landing, thickening at your feet, burying you deeper and deeper in doubts and worries until youâre shrouded in light.
Itâs warm, almost pearlescent as it illuminates the wooden porch youâre standing on.
It was cliche, very romance-novel the way the two of you met. Him having stepped through the gym door, lit up by sunlight, hands stuffing his t-shirt into the back of his jeans. All broad, loose curls and dark featuresâand a shy smile that only slowly broke out across his face.
From there it was little waves. Your eyes linger on his fingers, the length, the way they appear worn, weatheredâand sometimes accompanied by a band-aid, sometimes close to skin colour and others with cartoons on.
Itâs a while until names are shared and exchanged. Until you can put together an idea of the man who always wears a sun-scorched hat and clothing from a colour palette youâve named him.
Then, you learn little things. That he likes listening to vinyls, that he has a son, that he likes the idea of working out but prefers to keep fit by building things.
What kind of things? Anything. Anything? Anything.
Itâs how the conversation first began when heâd offered to build you a bookcase. A small oneâeasily tucked away behind the counter youâre often perched at and heâs often leaning against. Pointing out that he always sees you with a book, and that you must have a pile of them at your feet.
Thatâs when you learned he was astute, too.
All of that led to this. The now.
Eyes staring at him as he stands in front of you in a moss-green shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, curls not buried by a hat.
âHi.â
âHi,â you reply, before heâs ushering you in.
You hear the laughter from another room before the door is closed. Frankie hovers, taking the wine and the paper bag as you slide off your coat. His face flushed, eyes staring at you before you watch him swallow, mouth opening, but you beat him to itâ
âThank you⌠for not minding that Benny invited me over.â
Nodding, he smiles. âWell. I asked him to invite you.â
âOh?â
Looking at his feet, he smilesâsoft, more sly. âMâreally glad you could make it.â
"Well, Merry Christmas Eve?"
Licking his lips, he seems to swallow. "Merry Christmas Eve."
Thereâs something intimate about photographs, especially in frames dotted around a home.
A sea of memories displayed, the stories there, but not quite heard. Not until someone is willing to share them, to animate the frame and allow it to make sense.
Your fingers trace the air close to them, lingering on unworried smiles, spotting the beginning signs of the lines youâve come to admire.
In your wildest fantasies, you never thought youâd be here. Not as the hours ticked on, not even when the brothers bid their goodbyes, and you suggested going with them.
You donât have to. No? No.
So you didnât. Hovering in the living room as Frankie bids them goodbye. You hear the sounds of claps on the back, and boisterous goodbyes quickly hushed before they exchange plans for tomorrow. Youâre distantly aware the door closes, and that there are approaching footsteps, but you donât drag your eyes from the set of photos on the shelves.
âIâm sorry for⌠them.â
Grinning, you sip from your glass. âYou donât have to. I like them.â
Nodding, Frankie folds his arms, leaning in the doorway, your fingers still ever so close to one of the photo framesâone of five men, him in the middle, three out of the five recognised, the other two a mystery.
âYour son is adorable,â you say, glancing up at him, finding his eyes creasing as a grin adorns his face. âHe has your smile.â
Letting the words wash over him, you take another sip, letting the taste coat your tongue, and smother over your bottom lipâall the while holding his gaze. The one unmoving, all unwilling to tear itself away from yours. It charges the air, and makes it vibrate. Forces the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up, and knots something in your stomach. All as heat blooms across the rest of you, up your neck, smearing itself across your chest.
Because heâs given you this stare a few times. But, never for this long.
Not this constantly, either.
It hasnât ever made your throat feel this dry, not able to quench it even as you pour more liquid down it; it hasnât ever quite made your ears burn, always just cheeks.
âYou want to see my garden?â Narrowing your eyes, you watch him walk backwards, heading to his coat hook. âHeard you can see a lot of stars tonight.â
Smiling, you nod. Simple, fucking easily. Taking the jumper outstretched to youâfingers brushing over his, just lightly, a spark of something streaming up your wrist as his lips part.
A part of you, one full of longing and need, hopes he felt it tooâwishing for it. More so, as you pull his jumper over your head, trying not to noticeably inhale as the warmth settles on your skin, and finds a home in your bones. Youâre coated in him, both physically in his clothing and his scent. The one which lingers when he leaves your desk and you have always wished to bottle.
âCâmon,â he whispers, a twinge of nervousness to his tone.
So you do follow. Jacket under his arm as he grabs two bottles from the sideâyour hand placing your glass down, twirling the ends of his jumper around your fingers, letting him lead the way out, his foot propping open the door so you can head out first.
And heâs not wrong.
The sky is littered with them, soft twinkles thousands of miles away, looking down on the two of you as your warm breath makes spirals appear in front of youâslow wisps of steam that carry themselves to the few clouds floating past.
âYou doing much tomorrow?â
You donât know why you ask it, cringing inwardly. Because tomorrow is the twenty-fifth, and itâs obvious, even more so the more you think about it, that heâll have his son. Likely to be somewhere for dinner from the conversation overheard.
Frankie steps closer, shoulder practically close to yours, recalling what youâd overheard, layering more informationâsharing how heâll pick his son up at lunchtime, bring him back to open presents, and then theyâll be off to Bennyâs. He goes overboard, surprise, surprise.
Your laugh fills the air, somehow unsurprised until Frankie asks you what youâre doing.
âUm, well. Iâm usually alone for Christmasâwell, except for the other gym goers who also hate the holidays.â
Snorting, Frankie slides the jacket in his hand around your shoulders. Your eyes glance from the swings and slide to meet his gaze.
Iitâs warm when you do. All warm cocoa, digging into you, soaking you in something youâre trying to translate. Whatever it is, it makes your heart flutter in your chest, forces heat to rise up your neck againâkissing your cheeks, your ears.
âYou shouldâŚâ his hand rises, rubbing the back of his neck as he sighs. âShouldnât be alone.â
Rolling your lips, you gaze back over his gardenâthe small space you imagine only looks this good because of him. A small paradise, perfectly painted. Lit up by more strung lights and little lanterns plunged into different flowerbeds.
You smile at the swingsetâthe one made from mismatched wood. Your thoughts concoct an image of him building it, brushing his curls back from his forehead.
âYou look really pretty,â he whispers.
And the words make your head turn, tentative, wary.
âWish there was mistletoe.â
Your heart pounds and it distils the nerves. You donât have to force it, it bleeds naturally over your lipsâa smile which smudges over your face, and makes your hand place your bottle down on the ledge.
Itâs quietâoh, so quietâas you turn to face him fully. Body turned, heart thundering in your chest, all suddenly empowered, awake, bold.
The thrum of one chance dancing with the blood in your veins.
âYou donât⌠you donât need mistletoe, Frankie.â
âNo?â
Shaking your head, you let out a breath.
Letting it fog the air, swirling itself out into the night as you clutch his jacket around your shoulders, watching him move.
Itâs breathless the way he says okay. Itâs swallowed by the soft slant of his mouth over yours. Itâs instant, the way warmth spreads out through you. Made all the more powerful by accompanying fairy-light touches to your skin, allowing your body to curl into him.
Then, it deepens, your lips finding his with more purpose, more intention. His palms cup your cheeks, and like his gaze, his mouth is like fire. It rushes into your mouth, filling your chest and fanning its way out to your outer edges. Itâs dizzying, magicalâalmost worthy of a foot rising off the ground or floating away into the clouds.
Your hands clutch at his shirt, balling it in your fingers as it turns messy, needyâall heated and desperate.
Then, you both part. Barely a slither of space between both your faces, his eyes opening, smothering you in something which makes a tangled coil of need tighten inside of you.
âWanted to do that for a while,â he whispers, the tip of his nose brushing against yours.
âIâve wanted you to do that for a while.â
His fingers lightly skate over your cheek, thumb drawing light circles on your chin.
âYou got any plans for the 27th?â
Shaking your head, you smile. âJust the gym.â
âOkay. Iâm taking you out on our second date.â
Frowning, you begin to grin. âSecond?â
Dropping his hand from your face, Frankie places a chaste kiss on your lips. One that makes you want to chase him for more, but the growing gap following it prevents you.
âYeah, the first is me going inside, grabbing us a plate with some pizza on, and sitting under the stars. If⌠if that sounds okay?â
Biting your lip, you nod. âIt sounds perfect.â
He grins, hand brushing over his chin as he takes a step back. Your hand digging for your phone, the screen illuminating, as you hear him pull open the back door of his place.
âOh, and Frankie?â His eyes look over at you, wide, beautifulâa mixture of sudden worry and dread filling them. âMerry Christmas.â
Turning to flash him your phone, the minute just passing midnight, you smileâremoving the fear in his eyes, making them widen, and grow.
He thinks. Ponders.
Can see it in the way his eyes narrow and a line appears between his brows. Then, the door in his hand meets the frame, and the soles of his boots hammer on the decking, before he closes the gap to you within four strides, your face in his hands, lips pressed to yours.
âA kiss from you is the best gift I could have ever have gotten,â he whispers, between stealing your breath.
Swallowing, you roll your lipsâtasting the beer from his lips on your own. âAnd a date with you is all I wished for.â
