rafe's not sure what he's gonna do with you.

"no, baby, it's not bad. it's healthy." you look relieved, chest heaving slower while you sink into your side of the bed.

he thinks that's the end of the conversation, but it comes up again a few days later, when he picks you up and takes you out for icecream on the pier. you lick your cone, watching the sunset while rafe stares at you, when ropes from someone's boat catches your eye.

"that rope looks strong," you comment, with another swipe of your tongue. rafe's about to start a lecture on boats when you cut him off, piping in again. "i bet if you tied me up with that i couldn't even move. it would probably leave scars. right?" you glance up from the rope to look at your boyfriend.

"huh?"

"the rope. if you tied it around my wrists and ankles. it would probably leave a mark. and hurt. you think we can take that rope or should we buy our own?"

he stares at you, not sure if you're joking.

"no, no one's tying you up with rope. what the fuck?"

"ugh. rafe?"

"yeah? kid?"

"you want some?" you offer, handing him the ice cream cone.

the next time he's heard enough. he's driving through the woods, a creepy backroad that led him to barry's, where he'd taken you with him since it was late at night. there's no lights, just the moon and the trees.

you stare out the window, he thinks you're tired from the day's activities.

"what're you thinkin' about, kid?"

"i bet if you let me loose in these woods you wouldn't be able to find me." he's a little confused, but sometimes you say odd shit so he goes along with it.

"yeah, that's what getting lost means."

"no, silly, not lost. if you let me run so you could chase me." you crane your neck, looking out the window at the expanse of the forest.

"to... find you?"

"duh, rafe. how else could we have sex in the woods if you don't find me. that's the whole point, you have to chase me. like a predator animal. i wonder if there's bears in these woods."

"are you jokin'?" you turn to look at him, with that same confused expression, sweet and confused.

"no? why?" he slams on the brakes, pulling over.

"get real, kid. you want me to chase you through the forest and fuck you, what, against a tree?"

"no, rafe," you start sincerely, looking concerned. "not against a tree, wouldn't that hurt? maybe on the grass. it just depends how far i get, until you find me, i guess. it looks like just trees here."

he stares at you, and then back at his hands on the wheel.

"rafe?"

"yes?"

"so are we gonna do it today, or..?"

Thanks for the ask! This one had me thinking for a while because rejections? I don't usually write them, but that it made this a fun exercise!

Kenta sighs as he closes his laptop.

From the kitchen countertop, Kim looks up at him. "Everything ok, Ken?"

Kenta utters a non-committal sound as he slumps on the table. "Another rejection, I think. It's never going to work out. Who would want to hire a convicted felon for office work?"

He sinks lower, trying to busy his face into the solid wood. "I shouldn't have tried at all."

With a tut, Kim crosses the distance between the kitchen and the living area, and before Kenta can utter more words of pessimism, Kim hugs him.

It's not a proper hug—rather Kim trying to awkwardly hang off his back like a koala, but the tension in Kenta's body looses a little at the touch.

"I know what you're gonna say—that I shouldn't lose hope after one rejection, but... it's been so many, Kim." His scent reeks of defeat.

I'm so useless, he doesn't speak it aloud, but they both know he's saying it in his mind.

"Is the world ending yet?" Kim hugs him a little tighter when he shakes his head. "There'll be one more opening, and then another if it doesn't work out." He lays a kiss on Kenta's nape as he rubs the man's shoulders, massaging the pain away from sore muscles. "If you're tired, then let me make you feel better, na, teerak?"

He pulls Kenta up, and takes him to the nest they've made together on the little sunny nook in the bay window.

One after the other, he kisses Kenta's neck, and his cheeks, the top of his hair, mussed from how many times Kenta has run his hands through the dark strands, and his cheeks, the tip of his nose, his forehead, his palms and his fingers, till all the tension bleeds out of Kenta's limbs, leaving his warm and sated and purring in Kim's lap.

A month later, Kim is again cooking in the kitchen when Kenta comes up and wraps his arms around him.

"I got it, Kim." He whispers, and kisses Kim's lips.

I love you, he doesn't say, but they both know it, too.

It’s been a few days, the two of them chatting about random shit. Occasionally, Neil will send Andrew a photo of a building with thumbs up and thumbs down emojis. And Andrew will thumbs down each and every one of them. Finally, Neil gets frustrated.

I mean this guy would be establishing some cool machineries). ✦ I'd say Michi would be a well organised university student, given how he can balance his military identity between his Mafia persona. I'd say he'd cope with his schedule (rip all the other students dying of no sleep.) ✦ Tachihara doesn't get regular sleep (not that he gets less sleep just...not a regular sleeping schedule), but I'm 100% sure he's alright. He'd sometimes nap randomly, bro would nap at the most random time anyways LOL. ✦ What extra curriculums he'd do in Uni? BRO WHEN I TELL YOU HE DOES SPORTS FOR SURE!! Basketball in particular. He'd be the star of the show, with his good build and pretty feisty look. Girls on the basketball stadiums would be head over heels. What can I say? He's a popular fucker amongst his peers. I'm positive he is someones hallway crush on the first year of Uni. (definitely the readers.) ✦ He's talkative, always blabbering about dumb shit or shitty jokes. He laughs before he could say the joke, he starts getting an aneurysm on the spot for laughing so hard. ✦ What does he do in his extra time? Hangout with his mates or fuck around a lot in game lobbies. He would be spending hours and hours grinding for a fortnite skin or honestly just pay 2 win (bro bought the whole jjk skins on fortinite). ✦ Michizou takes studying pretty fucking seriously, he failed countless times in his junior years during highschool. He only took his grades seriously once life was hitting a little TOO hard. ✦ Tachihara wasn't interested in any romantic relationships, not until he gets a stable job and house in future. He just wasn't ready for that kind of commitment and he stuck to that style until he met you. ✦ He's friends with all kinds of people and would honestly vibe with all of them, his social battery can get drained pretty easily. ✦ You were doing a medical course and hardly had any rest (I mean any medical majors in my opinion are pretty hard from my perspective). You and Tachi tend to study together, though both of you have different courses. ✦ You two actually knew each other back in highschool. Though you've never TALKED until a certain event in uni. (a small disaster I'll write a fan fic abt it) ✦ You two go on dates once in a blue moon, given how passionate you are about being a doctor (or nurse, you're a pretty tired person.). ✦ Sometimes Michizou would find you cheering the loudest amongst the girls when he plays on the basketball field. (You're definitely the number 1 cheer girl) ✦ After winning the game, he'd run over to you. Cool sweat trickling down his face. He'd hug you and give you multiple of kisses, you'd also give that in return. ✦ EXTRA : Tachihara would always let you stay the night (or two) over in his dorm whenever you have fights with your parents. You live with your parents but sometimes they could really get on her nerves. You'd usually come over frustrated with tears, but hey!! he'd pamper you, coop you up on the couch and just kiss those silly tears away

he's actually quite lazy and would prefer lying in bed all day. but he had formed Habits while living (surviving) with tony and thus still goes on hunts. except now instead of hunting for food, he's chasing the birdies chirping outside a (closed) window.

his favourite spot is the topmost part fo the cat tree. he can keep a lookout from there even when he's half asleep, and that helps with the paranoia he has from years of harsh living conditions.

he's not very territorial but WILL hiss at anyone who dares to get a single paw in the top-of-the-cat-tree nest. only Kim is allowed there (after months of them becoming close because kenta's trust is a hard thing to gain)

he loves having regular meals everyday, but he does miss the taste of a freshly hunted bird or mouse...

will bring dead mice/bird/insects etc etc to the person/kitty he loves. he's an escape artist. (he had terrorised the local bird population for months before before kim told him to stop because north and sonic complained that their bird tv has gotten boring cause birds refused to come near the house anymore thanks to kenta)
