Primal Fears AU content but don’t worry it’s still sonadow

That last one is a repost from last year so if you saw the silly drawings but then read the thing in the bottom left corner and went “wait what the fuck”

It’s because it was an AU thing but I literally only had that drawn out and now you get some context at least:

In this universe Sonic is an assassin/bounty hunter/whatever you wanna call a guy that is hired to specifically to kill other Entities. He meets Shadow when they run into each other because they’re both following the same Avatar. Then they do the normal canon sonadow thing where the first interaction they have always ends with them fighting and beating the shit out of each other. And then they kinda calm down but then Shadow has a similar moment from the beginning of the IDW Sonic comics where he gets absolutely pissed that Sonic managed to distract him from catching the bad guy and zooms away before the two have another chance to speak again.

Here Shadow is a GUN field agent except in this universe GUN isn’t really military and it’s more focused on not only investigating (like the Magnus Institute) but also actively dealing with the Entities. Which sounds great except remember how I said they aren’t military well actually they kinda are because “dealing” with Entities and Avatars just means: throw it in the high-security prison that is guarded by other various Avarars that all work for GUN because it means they don’t have to get thrown in prison. So GUN is kinda like The Magnus Institute + Section 31 working together. So actually I guess it’s like the SCP Foundation.

One day Shadow goes into work and Sonic and there and I’m not really sure on what I’m gonna do in the plot to make him end up there (like maybe he’s undercover and just using GUN to get to his next target or maybe GUN does the “hey we’re gonna throw you in jail if you don’t agree to work for us” idk again not sure yet) but now he’s working with Shadow because they still need to catch that Avatar.

So now we’re sorta caught up, they’re at Club Rouge (and I realized I didn’t specify which Entity she serves in my drawing of her but people who guessed the Stranger ding ding ding here have some sonadow) because Sonic and Shadow need to kinda interrogate Surge and Amy, who are associated with the Slaughter. They have a band called Poison Rose and it’s basically just Grifter’s Bone but they perform rock music instead. And are also probably dating.

Anyway the Big Case™️ Sonic and Shadow are working on is investigating a bunch of spooky murders and they’re pretty sure whoever’s behind them is a Slaughter avatar. But not specifically Amy and Surge☝️ They’re kinda “allowed” to perform the Music That Makes You Die because GUN also has like an “informant” group of avatars they can rely on. These avatars don’t work for GUN, but they agree to chill out on the spooky stuff if it means they don’t get arrested for spooky crimes. So for Poison Rose, “chilling out” on the spooky stuff means that they have to force people to wear earplugs while they perform, which wasn’t specifically stated in MAG 42 if that works or not, not really sure of the magic rules of the Music That Makes You Die phenomena but yeah they gotta do that and probably some other stuff so GUN doesn’t arrest them. Like maybe no swearing or something lol.

Okay gonna stop there before this gets even longer explaining my AU because this was supposed to be just a normal sketch post but whoops.

Oh also I made a playlist for the kind of music Poison Rose performs but it was made private because I didn’t want anyone to stumble across it and be like “pshhhh this dumb person who makes public playlists of their AU that no one knows about what a loser” (me when I make up completely unrealistic scenarios in my head) but now here’s a post explaining that part of my AU so that person can’t make fun of me anymore

there is just no universe where catelyn likes jon i’m sorry. she knows about R+L=J? ned made traitors of her and her children, put jon’s safety above their’s and is now an even bigger threat to their lives. she hates him. Rhaegar wins and he’s prince jon? he’s still the product of the event that the entire country had to go to war for and probably got her father killed in the process. at the very least she resents him. maybe even hates him. modern au? he’s just the cousin with the teen mom that gets high with her son in the basement and sneaks arya razor blades or whatever. she hates him!

Like it’s pretty obvious they don’t have a script but do generically plan things out

Like sometimes I’m like there’s such good ideas here if they just had one or two more rewrites it would be perfect-

But there is no script they’re doing it in one take so all the little mistakes and inconsistencies are left in

if Buck & Eddie talk every day but then there comes a week where they keep missing each other & it doesn't usually happen more than once or twice but this week they just can't seem to catch each other at the right time

Buck has a busy shift so there's no downtime & he crashes when he gets home & he's apparently been going on dates again and Eddie is still adjusting to a new job & navigating how to find his footing in Chris's life & dealing with his parents still trying to control everything & he has no real say in anything & he just wants to talk Buck because Buck's his person & he can help make sense of everything & be a sounding board to help Eddie figure out what to do but again they can't seem to catch each other

& then finally there's some 118 get together & it's low-key and casual but Eddie sees them talking about it in the group chat & that's fine except that apparently Buck brings a date, someone he's been seeing that he likes & wants to see if it could be going anywhere & so Eddie doesn't suggest they FaceTime then instead just tells them all to have a good time & they'll have to plan a visit soon

& it's all fine he knows they miss him & he tries to make plans with Chris but his parents are like he's busy this weekend & we can't disrupt his routine or whatever

& so he's at home alone when he sees pics from the 118 get together posted online & it's like the last straw of a terrible week bc he misses them, he misses LA, the 118, the family he chose for himself, he misses Chris even tho they're in the same zip code again bc it feels like they're still hundreds of miles apart & nothing he does feels like it's bringing them any closer, & he misses Buck who is hundreds of miles away & who feels like he's drifting further & further from with each missed phone call, declined FaceTime, & delayed text reply

so he ends up getting drunk on his kitchen floor & leaving Buck a sad voicemail telling Buck how much he wishes Buck was here with him & how much he wants to talk to him & some other things he can't remember before Eddie goes to bed tipsy & emotional & so so tired & he wakes up the next morning having slept past his alarm bc his phone is dead & he has a hangover & he thinks about just sleeping in some more but then there's a knock on his front door

when he opens it, it's Buck with a small suitcase & an anxious smile & he's rambling about how he got Eddie's voicemail but Eddie didn't answer is phone & is he okay, he didn't sound okay, so he got Bobby to approve some time off & he knows it's impulsive but Eddie said he needed him so he just figured he'd show up is that okay Eddie please say something

& that's when everything Eddie's been feeling this past week, month, year finally boils over and he chokes out Buck's name & then Buck is holding Eddie while he cries into Buck's big stupid chest & Buck rubs his back and says something like

I'm here, I've got your back

& Eddie says something like

I know, you always do

& they just stand there holding each other for while

got back into Fable 2 for the first time in over 10 years the other day and just started Fable 3 (also been 10 years) and uhhhhhhhhhhhh feeling a lotta things, fellas *sweats*

ANYWAY, wanted to try sketching Logan cuz I high-key love his look/vibe, even if a lot of the art/assets from the game itself for him leave smth to be desired imo...
