I had a bit of an art block after my last digital drawing and I am still stuck drawing left-handed for a little while longer, but Fanart Friday gave me a good reason to draw something fun and to say thanks, as well ^^

yea once again i am really hoping it's not a full blown server, i sincerely do not think qstudios is ready for that kind of undertaking and ngl i'm not either. like as much as i go fucking wild for the multilingual communications, even if by some miracle they completely fixed the legal side of things there's some other stuff that's raising some red flags for me so uh.......

.......can i rant about time zones i just want to rant about time zones i've been sitting on this for like half a year and getting more and more like ??!?!?!!?!?!!!?!!?!!!?!!?!!?

like first of all there have been europeans since the fucking first day of the server and yet very rarely were events scheduled at euro-friendly times and when they WERE it felt like it was because the french fans beat the studio into doing it, which they obviously should not have to do and it would have been SO easy to just hold a couple events at euro friendly times instead yknow trade it off like shared custody because we have the update accounts and if it's on a weekend some americans can just wake up before noon and still catch it live. it would have been so easy i don't get why the euro fans had to fight so hard for this.

secondly why in the fuck would you invite people to a server that is entirely about collaboration without making sure there would be people online during their usual hours and YES this is about the koreans, why in god's name would that not be included as a consideration? the only reason yd interacted with as many people as she did was because she fucked up her sleep schedule like that shouldn't be a requirement. i can think of a couple "blue sky" (i.e. idealistic with no regard for real feasibility) solutions, like "invite a few people from an existing language that stream in that time frame" or "invite another language group in that rough time zone", but honestly i'm flabbergasted. did we not consider this or did we just decide we didn't care?? there's a fucking half day difference between the prioritized server timezone and korea. sorry, but it's a multicultural server; you can't prioritize america forever, even if the server owner is from there

third and less importantly but why in god's name was pepito going to be given a european admin. most of pepito's parents don't come online before midnight in europe. that's fucking insane. that was doomed to fail from the beginning. obviously this is small potatoes in terms of pepito but what the fuck was that. who fucking signed off on that.

Watching through the start of the beta, so far (other than starting with the dream where Joker fights someone who looks like Wonder) things are looking mostly the same, except:

Riko stays a little longer in the first scene she appears in (starts around 19:38)- it looks like after telling the female students to stop blocking the stairs, she mentions students are acting more "selfishly" these days, and also mentions Wonder could've just communicated with them himself

When Wonder leaves Kokatsu after, a woman in a red dress walks past him (21:50), and then at the train station (23:08) he seems her across the street standing on the roof of a building. She throws herself off of it, and Wonder's the only one to really react- the other people around him don't seem to care. Ruferu comments on this, and it seems like this is what makes him decide Wonder really is the one he's looking for

Wonder's Awakening (around 32:41) has been slightly updated, most notably that another Wonder now appears in it talking to him as the kelp wraps around him:

The Mementos lady now waves and rings the bells on her hat when Wonder and Cattle first meet her (about 48:32). She's also voiced now, as she says "Ah" when they run past her, and then disappears, which I don't believe she did before

Shun, Kayo, and Yaoling now appear on the Confidants menu (1:04:23)

The location where Merope sees the Rise poster and gets the idea for Phantom Idols has changed (1:08:48):

Short new cutscene (1:09:24) where Wonder, waiting for the train, tries to delete the MetaNav again, then Kiuchi bumps into him. After Wonder gets on the train, Kiuchi sees a new target

Tomoko accidentally bumps into Wonder when getting off the train after the scene where the girls are gossiping about Ikenami (1:11:11) and she drops her ticket that Wonder picks up (as opposed to previously, I believe, Wonder being the one to drop the ticket she returns to him later)

Another new cutscene (1:15:56) where we see Kiuchi following his new target then slam into her and knock her over

no but it's the way ivo's route truly has me clawing my own face off like ??? the consistent theme of ivo selflessly giving and giving to lou literally from the moment they meet with the sunglasses and the ballet ticket and the ice pack and the tablet with harry potter movies AND HIS JACKET? the simple but beautiful intimacy of their growing bond over music? the comfort and lowkey domisticty of lou's now constant perch on his couch while he's at his desk working not even guarding him but basically just keeping him company? the way she has him so weak for her at this point that he literally BEGS her to take her meds and take care of herself? THE WAY THEY HAVE NOT TOUCHED ONCE BUT ALREADY THEIR EMOTIONAL BOND HAS GROWN SO STRONG?

i have decided to journal a bit about my journey in trying to reconnect with practicing and all, and I think I figured out a way that might be good to start reconstructing my practices. I will write down in this journal reflections, thoughts and feelings, but most importantly I will collect there all bits and pieces of things that used to bring me joy in my past pratices as well as new things that might be nice to try out. It's going to be a chaotic journal to figure myself out basically, so hopefully that will work out.
