Ghosts Tell Me

~

Ghosts gather near the place where something bad is going to happen,

Danny with his ghost sense tends to notice before anyone else and tends to react outwardly before the danger even happens, gaining a reputation of seeing the future,

Ghosts also tell Danny things, causing Danny to know more about situations and the people around him, it comes of as suspicious.

Danny pulling away a snack from his coworker: "Careful your allergic to these ingredients!"

Coworker: "How the hell...I've never mentioned that to anyone."

Danny on a phone call with his friends while doing his nightly walks in Gotham: "Yeah so apparently the second Robin who is now Red Hood has very personal beef with the clown here cuz he got killed by him after being sold out by his bio mom, which really sucks for the poor guy."

Oracle who has been keeping an Eye on Danny cuz he's very suspicious from an outsiders pov: "Hey B, I think we have a problem."

Danny notices that the ghost in Gotham tends to gather where something bad is going to happen, the more they are the worse the situation will be: *glowing smoke leaves from his mouth* "Yikes! Very bad vibes here, nope!"

Gothamites who at this point recognize him and know the drill and quickly pack up their things to leave:

The Tragedy of the Cats

While I LOVE the twins reunion with Forneus in-game I always kinda wonder if it wasn't so perfect. Like we're told Aym and Baal were given as kits, but how old is kits? A few years, a few weeks, a few moments?

How do the twins feel about the mother who gave them up at only a few days old? So young they cannot even remember the touch of her hands, had not yet even opened their eyes to the light of the sun?

Does Baal try to see the best in the mother they do not know, while Aym bitterly wonder if they just weren't wanted at all?

Does Forneus spend who knows how long wishing she said no to Shamura, that she'd held her hearts closer to her chest, knowing she had little choice but to give them up? A god's word is final, yet a mother should have a say, should she not? Does she finally, finally get to lay her eyes upon her sons-they could fit in the crooks of her arms but oh how they've grown, only for them to shrink away from this stranger, and cling to the man who raised them in her stead?

Does Narinder refuse to let the kits call him 'father', because he himself has no clue whether or not they have a parent waiting for them? Does he distance himself out of guilt for the mother left behind? Because he doesn't feel he deserves the honor?

Does Shamura not only have their own family's crumble on their conscience, but that of another's as well? The tragedy of a mother who loved her boys so fiercely, but will never get the same love back in turn, all because they gave her an impossible choice that left her a stranger to her own blood?

Listen, I see Bond as a person who is deeply, fundamentally, self-sacrificially loyal to everyone at MI6 who is loyal to MI6. If they are loyal to the organization, Bond is loyal to them! He will kill and die for them! He will place himself between his colleagues and dangerous individuals! He is very livestock-guardian-coded!

It's just...his enthusiasm for this task varies based on the individual in question. For some (Mansfield!M and Q), he is only too happy to kill and die for them. He is vibrating with the desire to eliminate all threats to their person, and looking for opportunities to fling himself into danger on their behalf.

But for certain other people, like Skyfall/SPECTRE-era Mallory*, Bond's attitude is more like, "...I will kill and die for you, but I won't be happy about it. 😒 It's rotten work. Especially to me. Especially if it's you. I'll do it, but Jesus Christ."

All this is to say, I really want a fic where Mallory has been abducted and Bond (very effectively and efficiently) rescues him, while make it clear the whole time that he views this as a tremendous imposition. Like, he's going to do an absolutely A+ job of rescuing his boss, but he's going to complain about it the whole time.

He's going to sigh so heavily as he cuts through Mallory's bindings and removes his gag. He's going to shake his head so condescendingly as he takes down the baddie standing guard so he can secure Mallory's escape route. He will be bringing this up during every argument he and Mallory have in the future, and he's already making that clear.

Does this fic exist already? Someone please throw me a link if it does.

*As per usual, I am choosing to ignore what NTTD did to Mallory's character
