The room is lit in low, flickering light——shadows painting every inch of his grand, cavernous foyer, reflecting the dim, oppressive atmosphere of his domain. The heavy weight of Cazador’s palace, now his palace, sits like a crown atop his head. A kingdom of blood and stone, secrets and shadows.

He raises the goblet to his lips, watching Raphael through half-lidded eyes. There’s an amusement in his gaze, a glint of sharp teeth as he takes a languid sip. The robe of sheer white silk drapes loosely over his form, revealing pale skin beneath——smooth, unblemished, except for the marks of his old life, the scars that Cazador carved into his flesh like some cruel masterpiece. The fabric clings to him in all the right places, making him seem more specter than man, ethereal, untouchable. His beauty is a weapon as much as any blade, and he wields it with the ease of someone who knows exactly how much power it holds. A laugh escapes him, dark and bitter, echoing through the cold stone chamber. ❛ How quaint. ❜

His gaze sharpens, eyes narrowing as he studies the devil before him. Raphael, ever the enigmatic schemer, ever the slithering serpent with his barbed tongue and cryptic riddles. It amuses Astarion, at least for now. But he’s grown tired of this game, the constant dance of words and veiled intentions. He doesn’t have the patience for it anymore——not when the weight of his newfound power presses down upon him with each passing moment. The Elder Brain, lurking deep beneath his domain, an ever-present threat, gnaws at the edges of his control. Its violent will thrashes against his own, a beast that refuses to be tamed, and Astarion, for all his arrogance, knows it. Feels it. The whisper of madness creeping in, the strain of controlling something that was never meant to be dominated by one alone. It infuriates him. He is more than they ever were——those pitiful mortals who dared to wield such power. The Dead Three. Gortash. Orin. Ketheric. They were nothing compared to him. Nothing.

And yet, the Elder Brain’s resistance gnaws at his triumph. A sharp reminder that perhaps even he ( ascended, immortal ) has limits. But he won’t show that to Raphael. Not ever. Astarion’s eyes glint dangerously as he pours a glass of fine wine, the crimson liquid spilling into the chalice like blood. He moves with a predatory grace, extending the glass toward Raphael but not quite handing it over, making the devil come closer if he wants it. His smile doesn’t reach his eyes.

❛ Tell me, darling, ❜ Astarion says, voice dropping to a silken whisper, low and teasing, ❛ Why must you always insist on these riddles? We both know what you want. ❜ His smile widens, flashing just a hint of fang. ❛ The Crown, yes? ❜ He steps forward, closer, his robe whispering against the cold floor. The scent of old stone and rich velvet fills the room, mingling with the heady aroma of expensive wine. He leans in, his voice barely a breath away from the devil’s ear. ❛ It’s amusing, really, to see you’ve come to grovel for something that was never yours to begin with. ❜

Astarion pulls back, his expression darkening, the playful glint in his eyes fading, replaced with cold, calculating scrutiny. He is tired of this game.

As soon as Emily had seen the place she'd called Zach. "I know it's last minute, but I'm telling you it will be worth it. I would never steer you wrong," she assured him as he began to find half-hearted excuses not to leave his apartment. She knew how he felt about surprises, but this was too good to spoil. "Just trust me. Please?" she added in final urging to go with her to the unknown.

"Yes!" she exclaimed happily when he finally agreed, with a little dance he couldn't see to go along with it - those passing by on the streets giving a momentary glance of confusion however. "Oh my God. I'm so excited. Ok. Tomorrow night. Reservation is for eight fifteen. I'll come get you at...let's see it's a week night so traffic shouldn't be too bad but we want to be here in plenty of time..." she rambled to herself as she worked through what plans she could let him in on. "...Seven?" she asked almost rhetorically for clarification, getting the hang of NYC traffic still a bit of a struggle for her, walking her preferred method. But walking in the dead of winter was out. She didn't want to freeze to death before they got to their destination. "Ugh. I can't wait. See you then," she said just before giving her goodbye and hanging up.

She began to worry she'd pushed him into this erroneously as it got closer to their date. No, not a date. She hadn't said date. Zach hadn't said date. This was just two friends having dinner. At a small, intimate, romantic place. A place she'd specifically wanted to go to with him. Oh my god. Was this a date? No. No, no, no, no. She couldn't handle the added pressure of misjudging their time together on top of her worries over the possibiliy of forcing him to do something she feared he was already dreading. She had to convince herself that this was not a date. Even though, deep down, she wouldn't have minded if it was.

She smoothed out her dress as she waited for him in the lobby of his building. Why was she so nervous all of a sudden? This was Zach. They'd hung out a million times. They were friends. Good friends. Close friends. Emily would damn near say best friends and she'd be right. But she'd gotten a little more dressed up than usual and worried he wouldn't like it. Stupidly, really, but she just wanted tonight to go well.

Relief washed over her when he made it down and seemed to have had the same idea, his fashion choice a bit more dressy than his usual tee and jeans combo. What little consolation she was awarded was almost immediately replaced with embarassment however as she realized she'd forgotten her jacket. How could she have been so stupid? Sure her outfit was beefed up for winter and she'd gotten an Uber over to his place so she hadn't spent that much time in the cold, but it was still winter. And freezing.

"You are going to love this place," she told him, taking hold of his hand with an excited squeeze before rubbing it in an unconscious effort to warm her own hands as they waited for a taxi. "When I saw it I just knew I had to get you here and you might already know of it, but I didn't so act twice as surprised if I'm late to the game," she teased him, letting go of him and hugging herself against the cold.

another watercolor painting!! im going through my pokemon sun playthrough as ricky, and this outfit is what i dressed her up in ^_^ i tried to match her band au fashion as much as possible 🫡

here's ricky's current team where i’m at and what she looks like in game!! i was sooo peeved that twin tails are locked in post game, even if they don’t even look like ricky’s hairstyle at all, i just think she needs some kind of ponytail…i used to have her with straight bangs to imitate her three bangs style, but it kinda looked ugly af… :V

i’m just before vast poni canyon so gummy will soon be the rail gun beetle that ricky deserves ^_^ i decided on a sweets/dessert nickname theme, tho i did consider a norse mythology theme, but i thought she’d be more cutesy in a pokémon au/world where she is not in life threatening stakes.

i want to write out my reasonings for each pokémon pick too, this team isn’t exactly what i had in mind since it’s limited to the sun pokédex, but i’m pretty fond of them!! mostly, i thought she could have a non-dex rotom (but since it’s like this, her rotom dex is definitely named mike), and i also thought she’d have a porygon - but u can only get it post-game and i’d have to deal with trade evolutions o<-<

i also chose pokémon sun as ricky’s game since i headcanon her to be wasian HAHA specifically japanese and american/german - since hawaii is known for its japanese immigrant population (which is also reflected in the game itself), i liked the idea of her having an actual game background of immigrating from kanto

1. alolan raichu - pikachu is the iconic mascot, just like ricky XD alolan raichu shares her love of sweets, and i think lets her identify with being alolan too

2. vikavolt - he’s a rail gun!! ricky should always have fun with guns. i think ricky has an affinity with machines, and vikavolt has gundam aesthetics hehe. his pre evolutions are cute too, which i think ricky would like. notably he’s another electric type, a remnant from when i used to have ricky as an electric type specific trainer, before i decided to diversify types for eo teams. rotom also would’ve been another electric type…😅

3. metagross - another association with machines—it reminds me of gladsheim as well. i like the juxtaposition of this hulking creature made of metal next to ricky too. showing off her cute and cool sides...

its name is ike as a companion to mike, making them fit into the sweets theme LOL

4. wigglytuff - i headcanon that ricky enjoys singing (and is the lead singer in band au) so i wanted a music related pokémon. maybe in universe, she would stay as a jigglypuff?

5. toucannon - also because of gun. i actually hunted a shiny version, bc it looks like the bi pride flag aghdjshfd. i think ricky can be prone to have a temper, matching toucannon's angry look

6. alolan ninetales - ok so i was conflicted bc i wanted an ice type, as a reference to ricky’s cryo sleep lol, and i was also considering vanillite bc ice cream… but its moveset sucks ass!!! sorry!!!! i do like ninetales as an additional reference to her heritage though…i have vanillite in rosa’s hypothetical team too so it wasn’t really meant for ricky in the first place :P

honorable mentions:

i chose litten as her starter since i think she’s a cat person, and also someone who likes buff people……….

vanillite like i mentioned—harder to catch than i thought cause it needs to be snowing for this guy to show up as an sos helper >:0

This was so much fun and really turned into its own thing beyond an OC ask meme XD I did this meme before with some slightly different and/or more in-depth answers for anyone curious [here] cause like stated back then, how Vince replies to personal questions always strongly depends on who's asking. Smash or Pass the Bleach Captains?

I've always wanted to answer this question! (Going with the TYBW roster of captains here.)

Shunsui Kyoraku

Normally I don't like hairy men, but he's a Smash. You get the feeling he knows what he's doing, he could teach you a lot. Plus the fact he becomes head captain means fucking him is like an instant boost of clout.

Soi Fon Pass. She's pretty and has a great character design, but she ain't my type. Not to mention she seems to have some unresolved Yoruichi issues to sort out.

Rose Otoribayashi

Who? Anyway, Pass. There's nothing about Rose I find particularly interesting as a character and Bleach has much sexier blondes than him.

Retsu Unohana

Pass. I've never really cared much about Unohana as a character because I always found her "soft-spoken but terrifies everyone" gimmick kind of stale, especially since I thought the reveal of her being the First Kenpachi was so obvious. Her design is fine but not my personal tastes.

Shinji Hirako

I love Shinji as a character, but I think I'd prefer to hang out with him than fuck him. Though, I can't help but feel he'd be great with his tongue...but...realistically, Pass.

Byakuya Kuchiki

Byakuya's personality is kind of dull for my personal tastes, but that face card of his doesn't decline, so Smash.

Saijin Komamura

I'm not a furry, so Pass. I'd hang with him, though.

Lisa Yadomaru

Pass. I like Lisa but the glasses and braids look isn't my thing. Also she's so deadpan I'd fine it hard to tell if she was being serious or not.

Kensei Muguruma SMASH SMASH SMASH. He is SO fine and so mean. I love the punk aesthetic, I love his voice and THEM ARMS. God. Kensei's one of my personal hottest Bleach men, I've loved him ever since he was first revealed with the piercings and the crew cut. When his TBTP haircut was shown I went mental. (I like his current look but Kensei with bangs was elite.) Also his surly attitude is very attractive to me. What can I say, I like 'em mean.

Toshiro Hitsugaya

Pass. Like 90% of time he looks like a middle-schooler, and even in his adult form, his personality isn't really attractive to me, it's that stick-in-the-mud attitude for other more bombastic characters like Rangiku to bounce off. I don't find Hitsugaya especially interesting on his own. His eyes are pretty, though.

Kenpachi Zaraki

Smash. Yeah, I'd fuck Kenpachi, he'd maul you like a bear but in a good way. Also I find his laid-back cockiness kind of refreshing. And his mouth is enormous, if you know what I mean. And the MUSCLES. You'd definitely come multiple times.

Mayuri Kurotsuchi

Smash. I've always liked Mayuri and under all his facepaint he is SMOKING hot. Is he evil? Yes. Does he have a nice voice, cool af fight scenes and is consistently one of the smartest, most interesting characters? Also yes. I love intelligent men.

Jushiro Ukitake

Pass. Firstly my friend is in love with him so I don't want to lewd her husband. Secondly, he's just so not my type - objectively he's a very pretty man but I find his personality extremely boring. Nice guys just don't float my boat, and I generally don't go for men with long hair. (Sorry, fam. XD)

I'm just. Imagining a Gale who constantly hovers over your shoulder, he genuinely thinks he's protecting you from everyone else in the group. You're easily the youngest person in camp, so he thinks of himself as your mentor, someone for you to look up to. So I watched "My mum is a lobster" because I'm going through all of his videos chronologically, right, and I was like- you know what? I'm going to scroll down the comments. There's over 2,000, which isn't as much as others so why the hell not?

And GUYS. The way I could literally see the internet changing from 2024 to 2008 was FASCINATING. Genuinely the coolest thing I've seen all week. The content of the comments was one thing: from people commenting about how young Phil is, how this was just under a year from when he met Dan, to people in 2016 going on about... whatever they were talking about in 2016 yk

But then when you get down to the bottom do you see the real good stuff. There's no replies, since Youtube was structured differently I guess, and a lot of the comments don't make sense I think because they were replying to other comments- but I digress.

The use of :D, lolz, the two carats (^^), the xD, the :S, all relics at this point tbh. Obv some people use them still but see their abundance!

Ok so a bit random but this has been on my mind for a few days now and I need to know. 1 on 1 one of the canons Starscreams vs Miracle Starscream how is this going? I feel like the obvious answer would be Miracle Starscream wipes the floor with whatever unlucky canon Starscream he bumps into. But also jets are fast af with ridiculous fire power but Miracle Starscream literally has fire powerS.

Maybe they'd get along and scheme together. Mutual hatred for Megatron brings the best out in people or maybe the worst in Starscream's case but perhaps they'd bond over that.

I just started rambling- anyways I wanna hear what you have to say on this.

I've thought about this too! I can only compare canon Starscreams of the continuities I've watched (G1, Prime, Animated, bayverse, IDW) but overall I think if Miracle Starscream were to interact with them, first order of business would be Megatron's destruction.

If they succeeded, the Starscreams would turn on each other almost immediately lol. One thing to note is that Miracle Starscream is like 400 feet long from head to tail. He's a straight up predacon. In a one on one brawl he would demolish the Canon Starscreams (I am extremely biased).

Miracle Starscream is also as fast as the Canon Starscreams. I think he'd really struggle to catch Prime and Bayverse Starscreams though. If given enough prep time, IDW Starscream could give Miracle Starscream some real trouble. G1 Starscream is so unhinged I think whoever would win in that fight would be whoever had the most luck that day.

She knows, she must return

Faith is- confused- by you

At first, she believed you to be hostile towards everything

And you are, in a way, to most things

And yet, you’re so tender with the illusions you practically drag from her

Never before has someone stepped into her flower fields as often

Once, you attempted to reach out to her, and drew back in shock when she turned to mist

Faith cursed herself. She couldn’t help but wonder, then, how you felt

You always keep your distance- the exact distance to avoid her illusions poofing away. You’ve been paying attention to them

You’re not farther away, nor closer

“Let me show you the Bliss”, she whispers

To her surprise, your eyes and expression does not turn angry, or alarmed

You smile at her, and cautiously reach out

Faith automatically takes a step back when you suddenly step into her personal space

You’re grinning, a full on smile she has never heard anybody describe on you before

She didn’t think you would smile

“You’re real”, you realise. She gasps when you poke her shoulder

“Stop that!”, she giggles. She can’t help the peaceful moment

She’s not in the Bliss yet, this is the real world. Joseph has no way of knowing she’s allowing herself this interaction

You don’t pull your gun, nor your other weapons. In fact, your hands are empty as you reach for her again

“Show me”, you seem to plead

And Faith all too happily does

She laughs gleefully at the feeling of the Bliss around her, her lips pursing as she blows some of the powder to your face

As you awaken, you immediately move back to her side, now too in the world of her creation

She giggles, her fingertips stroking the petals of the flowers below her

She sees you follow her, no matter where she goes. When she steps back, you follow

She knows, her goal is to bring you into the Father’s statue, to test your faith

But she is curious, and is having to much fun

How come you are following her like a lost puppy?

How long will you indulge her?

She giggles happily and carelessly as she grasps your hand and runs through her flowerfield

The world seems so soft, so warm and light. She loves the sensation

Faith gasps when you come to a halt, her hand in yours tugged and keeping her from running again

Even in this world, you’re strong

For a moment, she fears what you will do, standing still with her hand clasped tightly in yours

You’re holding hers even tighter than she holds you, but not uncomfortably so. It doesn’t hurt her

In fact, you seem very careful around her, as though she was as petite as the flowers she is known for

The auburn haired woman watches wide eyed as you pick one, and another

She feels her face heat up even in this Bliss world of hers when they are handed to her

Faith likes to think she isn’t one to easily fluster (Yes she is)

And yet, she finds herself with pink cheeks every time her dear deputy crosses her path

There are countless times she is summoned to one of her fields by your presence, doing her best to concentrate so she will not simply poof away when you near her

She knows, you won’t hurt her

And she knows, you travel alone, and don’t allow anybody else to do as much as aim at her

And each time she is summoned, she feels your leathery, gloved fingertips press against hers when you push another flower into her hand

It’s almost as though you’re retrieving them for her

She expects no less this time, but is surprised when she receives more

“Stay still?”, you ask

She knows, her brothers would scold her for her delusion and nativity, for she closes her eyes and stands still with her hands clasped together behind her back

She’s vulnerable to attacks, she knows this

But, funnily enough, she has faith in you

And this is not betrayed. No harm comes to her, only the feathery soft sensation of flower petals brushing against her head

First her cheeks, then her forehead

Her unpainted lips part when she feels you tuck a strand of hair behind her ear

Next, something is sat on her head

Faith knows the familiar sensation of a flower crown

“Okay, open!”

She adores your excitement

Faith smiles as she opens her eyes, bright and happy when she raises her hand and petite fingertips brush against the white flower petals

She knows, you’re fond of holding her hand

At other times you like to pick flowers and hand them to her. Faith is not stupid, but allows you the action as an excuse to touch her

She often feels your hand on her hip, playing with the fabric of her dress

Never do you tug

Never would you dare attempt to tear it

You’re careful with her, clingy and sweet, and in return, she’s free with you

A secret shared between the two of you
