The neon letters of the alarm clock read 01:57 when Eddie is startled by the sound of frustrated tossing and turning.

“Grmph?” he makes and sluggishly turns over. 

“Hey,” Steve interrupts his wrestling match with the pillow and smiles sheepishly. “Sorry, didn’t mean to wake you.” 

“‘s okay,” Eddie mutters, scooting closer into Steve’s warmth, linking their fingers. Steve lets him in willingly, sighs when Eddie kisses his knuckles. “Have you slept at all?” 

Steve shrugs, even though it ends up as more of a weird, one-shouldered twitch, all mushed together under the covers as they are. Eddie frowns, squeezes his fingers a little tighter. 

“Bad night?” 

“Not really,” Steve smiles. “Just … y’know when you’re real tired, but your brain won’t shut the fuck up?” 

Eddie huffs. “Sure do.” 

They just lie for a while, exploring the shape of each other’s hands, the rise and fall of each other’s chests. 

“You ever tried warm milk with honey?” Eddie asks. In the dim glow of the alarm clock, Steve’s brow furrows. “Wayne used to make it for me when I was a kid. Call it the placebo effect, but it always knocked me right out. I can fix you one?” 

Even in the dark, he can see how Steve’s eyes light up. “You would?” 

Eddie softly kisses the tip of his nose before peeling himself from the sheets. “Sure thing, sweetheart. Anything for you.”

Nothing will ever quite make up for your home being cleft in half by an interdimensional rift, but Eddie must admit that the house that came with the government hush money has its perks. One of them being two bedrooms, so he doesn’t have to worry about waking up Wayne as he bustles around in the kitchen. 

He stirs the milk in its pot to keep it from burning and watches the little bubbles rising to the top. 

Nights used to be terrifying, right after … everything. For the longest time, he thought he'd never be able to sleep without nightmares again. It was only after weeks, when he passed out against Steve's shoulder during a movie, that Steve told him it was the same for him. For Buckley and Wheeler and most of the others, too. That he didn’t have to suffer through this alone. (“You’re one of us now, Eds. And we take care of each other.”) 

This is how it started. Late night calls after nightmares. Eddie sneaking into Steve’s house in the dark to crawl into bed with him - more often than not to find Robin or one of the kids already there. Steve coming over to Eddie’s if he was too shaken to drive. Holding the memories and the monsters at bay through shared warmth and touch, the feeling of a familiar body close by, the rise and fall of another chest. 

At some point, they stopped going to their separate houses to sleep. At some point, the touches became intentional rather than fleeting, turned into entwined fingers, into hands carding softly through hair, into lingering kisses and whispered confessions. Even the nightmares are slowly starting to fade.

They've come a long way, he guesses. 

He hums to himself while he stirs a generous amount of honey into the mug of warm milk, then pops the spoon into his mouth while he shuffles back to his room. 

“Voilà, ‘ere iz your order, monsieur,” he announces, pushing the door open and slipping into the silly French chef persona that always makes Steve roll his eyes and giggle adorably. “One cup of our finest ‘omemade- what the fuck?” 

The room is still dark. 

Steve is still in bed. 

Only now he's fast asleep. 

He also isn't alone.

There's another person sprawled half on top of him in a heap of gangly limbs. A person with a bird's nest of dirty blonde hair, wearing a checkered pair of boxers and Steve's faded swim team shirt.

“What the hell, Buckley?” Eddie mutters. 

Robin snores. 

“Aw, c'mon,” Eddie grouses. He sets the mug down on the nightstand and crouches down so that he can poke her. “I was gone for what? Five minutes? When did you even- ow, son of a …” 

Because Robin has thrown out a flailing arm, and he just caught an elbow to the face. Eddie cradles his stinging nose and watches how she snuggles closer to Steve with a satisfied huff. Steve sighs and smiles in his sleep. 

“Seriously now,” Eddie grunts, tries to wiggle into what little space is still unoccupied on the mattress. “That's my boyfriend, Bucks. Not to mention my bed. At least lemme- woah!” 

A bony knee hits him in the stomach. He slips and lands square on his ass on the cold floor, taking the comforter with him.

“Eds,” Steve grumbles. “Don't steal the covers.” 

Eddie flies to his feet, snarky remark ready on his tongue-

-and stops.

Because Steve and Robin look … well, they look funking adorable, okay? What kind of guy would he be to wake them? It would be like frightening a cuddle pile of cute little puppies, and contrary to what the general public may think, Eddie isn't the type who harms puppies. Or tears pretty boys who have finally fallen asleep apart from their platonic soulmates. 

Eddie sighs and drapes the comforter back over the pair, leaning over Robin's limp form so that he can drop an awkwardly angled kiss to Steve’s temple. 

“Sleep well, you dumbasses. See ya tomorrow.” 

He grabs an afghan from the desk chair, makes for the door, then turns back and takes the mug of warm milk with him. If he's gonna sleep on the couch, he might as well get cozy. 

He may have to invest in a larger bed.

I luv him sm yall 

You get a call at 3 in the morning. At first you think it's an alarm so you slap your phone a few times before fumbling around for your charger, sticking your face in your pillow and drifting away. 

Then you get another call, and this time you clock that it's not an alarm but your dearest friend who's decided blowing up your phone is much better than letting you get any rest. It's Friday and you'll give him a pass. (Aurélien gets any and every pass in your book but he doesn't need to know all that).

You answer, of course you do. Voice hoarse as you sit up, slouching against your pillow while you rub the sleep out of your eyes.

“Mind if you open the door.” he mumbles after a rushed greeting. 

You squint,”what?”

“Your door, can you come and open it.” he repeats again. Slower. 

“Where are you?” you yawn.

“Outside, I got you things from Germany and they're really perishable and supposed to be refrigerated and I won't be able to so I thought I'd stop by. Sorry it's so late.” he breathes into his phone.

“No it's okay,” you stumble out of your bed and feed for your slippers in the dark, padding around your apartment phone wedged between your shoulder and your ear. 

He stays on the line, even if he's a few feet away. Not hanging up til he’s greeted by a very puffy eyed you in your pjs still fighting sleep. 

He thinks you're beautiful like this. Warm and soft, exactly how you make him feel. In full honesty he could have kept the assortment of treats with him. His hotel probably has a mini fridge. But he wanted to see you. He knows both of you will get busy again. He'd rather not waste any chances. So here he is, standing in your door frame, sleek black carry-on suitcase in hand and a bag just for you in the other.

You use him inside, flicking on a light and taking his baggage. He tries to fight you but you only whine, wheeling it away from him and up against the wall.

“Tea?” you croak.

He giggles, “no it's okay,” he hands you the tote,” this is for you, i should get going.”

“No wait,” you rub your eyes, “it's late. Stay please?”

His resolve soon crumbles as you take him by the hand, leading him further into your home. To you its second nature. Not a second thought as you dig in your closet for a spare pair of slipper. 

“I have pjs for you somewhere, “ you mumble. 

“No no,” he waves his hands,”its okay i have my own.”

“You sure?”

“Yeah.”

You hum, padding along to get your room in order.

When you come back you see him in his pjs trying to settled on your couch and you frown, “no no you're sleeping in a proper bed get up.”

“It's your house.”

“And?”

“No i'll take the couch you have one bed i can-”

You shut him up with a tug to his sleeve, dragging him to your room. You turn your lamp on and slide in, motioning for him to follow. Friends share beds right? You would have offered if it wasn't him, and he wouldn't have accepted if it wasn't you. 

Maybe it's due to it being so late, to the jet lag, to you just being woken up. Or maybe it's because he feels so safe with you, so at home. And you feel so comfortable, and it feels so right when he slides in next to you, curling his hand around his face and resting his head against your pillow.

You've dreamt about this a million times. But you're too drowsy to be able to truly take it in. 

It's okay, the way Aurélien stares at you wide eyed admiring you makes up for it. He feels too excited to sleep but forces his eyes shut, turning the other way, and taking a deep breath to calm down.

You don't know this now but come morning you'll be pressed up against each other legs tangled and far too embarrassed to bring anything up. You hope he comes by again, maybe at a more reasonable hour next time so you can properly remember it.

Akademiya Dottore having to stay out late for an assignment and when he gets back to his dorm he sees reader passed out on the couch, they tried staying up to wait for him but got too eepy and went zzzzz...

I like to think he quietly puts a blanket on them before sitting on the couch and just doing his own thing (eventually he also falls asleep on the couch)

When reader wakes up they notice the warm blanky on them and smile :) especially after they notice the usually stubborn man sleeping on the other side... giggles 😊 I like soft Dottore... he's so stubborn and in love..

(Reader totally teases him about it when he wakes up and in return gets ignored for the rest of the day... if they're short they also have all their akademiya supplies put onto a high shelf💀 cuz Dottore's mean like that and REFUSES to admit he likes reader :3)

It's not very often that Dottore stays out late, he much rather be in his dorm doing his own thing rather than out and about (the darkness is good for being elusive, however, more light is necessary for certain experiments.) Unfortunately, group projects and meetings exist and he has to be on his 'teammates' time schedule... ending his day with his peers is certainly not what he considers favorable.

Meanwhile, you feel quite lonely without your crush, the dorm is oh so quiet without the sounds of his tinkering or the playful banter between you two. Not to mention how you miss his touch, his voice, his overall presence... do you miss him? Yes, of course, you're not in denial all the time like Zandik is. So you decide to just stay up, he can't be out for much longer, knowing Zandik, he'll wrap it up as soon as possible. (You could laugh imagining his expression right now, having to do an assignment with others instead of you.) Sadly, your body gives in to your tiredness and you slumber earlier than you wanted to.

When Zandik comes home and sees you slumped on the couch in dreamland, he scoffs and rolls his eyes... muttering under his breath about how careless you are and how you're going to wake up with cramps in that position (he says as he fixes your body to a more comfortable angle, and drapes a blanket over you before you wake up sneezing and complaining to him. Yes, he just doesn't want to listen to you complain, he totally doesn't care for your well-being.)

When you wake up to see him sleeping on the other side you just smile... you wish you two were actually dating so you could cuddle with him, but unfortunately, Zandik is a man who'll always be in denial when it comes to his feelings, it seems. At least he felt comfortable enough to fall asleep with you like this, that's progress! Even he was lured in by the warmth, despite probably wanting to pull another all-nighter...

Teasing him will result in a not-very-happy and annoyed Zandik who constantly rebuts your claims... he's not very amused at your "theories" and would prefer if you put your mouth to better use by assisting him with his research. (He derives some kind of sick pleasure from watching you struggle to obtain that hard-to-reach item.)

[Not most, all of them.] SC: Unlabeled he/him, started the polycule because he felt jealous that the two would only be lovey-dovey to each other. You can always find him hanging out with everyone else, holding ear muffs [him being eepy doesn't stop the hang outs.] Yellow: Pan they/she/he, started dating Blue and agreed to the polycule, cuz idk she thinks it's neat they get to have a connection like that. Always leaning their head on someone's chest, he likes the sound of a heartbeat. [Doesn't like doing that with SC though, cuz he doesn't have one.] Green: Gay they/he, second to join the polycule. Actually had crushes on both SC and Blue and thought it was cool the three were dating now. His rivalry with Yellow never left, he still thinks its funny to mess with her via being better at redstone. Usually wears their headphones, mostly on no sound so he can hear everyone better. Blue: Unlabeled any, started dating Yellow and asked SC to join [if he wanted to]. They usually tend the garden whenever the others leave her alone. [Definitely sneaks a munch or two of netherwart] Everyone HATES how obsessed she is over netherwart and just wants them to stop pls..... He loves all his partners and thinks they're all just the cutest like ever.

Dynamics:

Red x SC: Usually messes with him, with loud and other noises to wake him up. Likes hanging out with him, just sitting around and drawing.

Red x Yellow: Just likes listening to her ramble about nerd stuff even though they retain nothing from it.

Red x Green: Always wants to try and prank him more after "The Prank". Always fails though...

Red x Blue: They bond over farms and farm animals, they're probably the only one who mildly tolerates Blue's netherwart problem. They fish together a lot :3 I also think Red thinks of Blue closer than everyone else cuz of their shared interests.

SC x Red: Cuddles with them a lot, likes how their tail is really soft, despite never seeing them take care of it, not even once.

SC x Yellow: He kinda hates how they usually just use him for their science experiments. [Yellow probably did some surgery and research on his body]

SC x Green: Besties and dating?!?!?! Real?!?!?!

SC x Blue: [this was one of my first avm ships cuz uhhhhhhhhhhhh goofy]

Yellow x Red: Goes to him whenever they wanna rant about a new finding [URETHRA!!!!!] and maybe kinda uses their spawn eggs as test subjects when the others.. aren't exactly there.

Yellow x SC: Main labrat- I mean... subject, totally. Usually interrogates him and tests his body for certain things that he can do, but the others can't.

Yellow x Green: Likes being a big ol' nerd around them, they usually go on adventures, trying to learn more things about the world they live in. [Usually gets jealous of Green whenever Blue shows him affection so she just sneaks into Blue's lap whenever they feel like that]

Yellow x Blue: [my...... otp....] Got attached to her even when they were stuck in that website they came in, and they just like how he talks anyway.

Green x Red: Likes ruining every single plan they have and also likes to make fun of him for the shits and giggles.

Green x SC: they care each other

Green x Yellow: Really really likes messing with her because it's the cause of Yellow's cool ass inventions.

Green x Blue: kissable [hearteyes]

Blue x Red: Often just watches Red tend to their animals and watch how he takes care of em.. She finds it really adorable

Cole eepy and got a bedtime story

Cole was NOT tired. Sure, he was yawning and rubbing his eyes and feeling really sleepy...but he wasn't tired, he was having too much fun with Lloyd to be tired! He tried to hold back a yawn as he played with his blocks, ignoring Zane's protective stare.

As he played, he noticed that Lloyd went from sitting up to lying down as he played. When he looked up from his blocks a third time, he saw that Lloyd was asleep, using his stuffie as a pillow. He giggled and looked up at Zane. "Papa, Lloyd eepy!" He whisper-yelled, watching as Zane went over and picked him up.

"Yes, it seems like he certainly is sleepy. And you are too Cole; it's almost bedtime." Zane put a hand on his hip as he spoke. Cole stuck his tongue out and stood up, holding Lloyd's hand. Somehow, Lloyd didn't wake up as Cole walked beside Zane and squeezed his hand.

"Are you going to go to sleep or just watch as I help Lloyd sleep?" Zane asked. Cole crossed his arms and looked away, not giving a response. The three eventually got to the nursery, which was really just an extra room the ninja used as a nursery for the littles. He set Lloyd down in a crib next to a twin-sized bed that Cole sat on.

Lloyd let out a little whine as he was put down. Cole was quick to go to him and rub his back. "No...no sad, baby. Baby gotta sleep." He mumbled, soothing Lloyd halfway back to sleep. Zane smiled and reached for a book on the shelf nearby. "Nice job calming down your baby brother, Cole." He said, using one hand to affectionately rub Cole's hair. Cole happily giggled and watched as Zane read to Lloyd.

He let out a yawn and hesitantly curled under the blankets. "Papa...'m eepy." He murmured. Zane, seeing that Lloyd was asleep and Cole was half-asleep, put down the book and tucked Cole in. He kissed the top of his head.

"I told you that it was almost your bedtime, silly." Zane chuckled. Cole didn't really mind Zane's words and let his eyes close, falling asleep rather quickly.

Midnight Thinkies

Because I have too many characters living rent free inside my head, and way too much empty space up there for them to play with (I sold my last marble for cheese).

Right before I fell asleep I had this silly, cute lil eepy-thought about Mephiles possessing a plush animal so that he can be hugged.

His base form is an incorporeal fog. His stolen form melts like black ice cream. His crystalline form is covered in glass-sharp pointiness.

Now, I don't know how Mephiles being unable to hug would become a Reasonable Problem™ because I'm pretty sure he only knows how to scheme and stabby, but imagine.

Imagine he uses his base form to possess some kind of plushie or a teddy so that he can experience the warmth and comfort of a hug. It's just so— *kicks feet and giggles*

Even dimension-devouring time travelling fallen half-gods of the sun should get to know what a hug is like, methinks. ✨🫂🧸

thank you so much. it's okay. drawing serves as a form of 'break' for me– a break from life because i can just transform whatever Extreme emotion i'm feeling at the moment into a chaotic/silly art piece (either doodles or something fully rendered) that makes people giggle, and that helps me !!

11 - “Hold still, this is going to tickle a little”

It was a calm afternoon in North Carolina. George and Sapnap were visiting Karl, having some plans to film a few Banter episodes and do some streams while they were all together. Even though it was a little past noon, they were just getting up, having stayed up way later than intended and making them sleep in longer than they would’ve liked to. George was the first to move, stretching his arms above his head with a groan, feeling his muscles pull as he reached higher and arched further forward. Hands were suddenly on his stomach, making him squeak quietly as he pulled his arms back to his body with a giggle. 

“Kahaharl, what are you doing?!” George whispered in fake offense, turning his body slightly so he could see the younger boy behind him. The hands were still resting along his stomach, not moving but not letting him get out of the grasp when he tried. 

“Cuddling. M’ eepy.” Karl replied, making George roll his eyes with another giggle. He looked past Karl and saw Sapnap wrapped up in the blankets, still sound asleep. Karl squeezed George’s stomach lightly, smiling into his pillow as the elder squirmed in his arms. 

“Okahahay! Sleep then, cuddle with Sap!” George fought back, grabbing Karl’s wrists and trying to pull them away from his body. Karl wiggled his fingers quickly, causing George to jump in surprise with another high pitched squeal before falling back into quiet giggles. He was trying his best to not wake up the younger of the boy’s, knowing how grumpy he can get. 

“Well I don’t wanna wake him up, silly boy. Besides, I like hearing you giggle.” Karl commented, voice just above a whisper and close to George’s ear. George felt his cheeks flush, bringing his shoulder up and rubbing at his ear a few times before letting out a small whine, falling back down against his pillow and allowing himself to press back against Karl. 

“Fine…just…behehe nice, please?” George squeezed his eyes shut as he felt Karl’s hands beginning to move again, sucking in his stomach as much as possible and whining when the tickly fingers followed anyway. 

“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say,” Karl shushed him, leaning forward to place a kiss against the back of George’s head. His hands sprung back to life for a second, scribbling and spidering lightly against the jumpy tummy before stopping, making George whimper as the anticipation grew. He chuckled as George’s panicked giggles spilled into the room once again as Karl repeated the action. Karl decided he had teased George enough and decided to take pity on him, pulling him in a little tighter when he began to squirm.

Giving my own opinion/addition/agreement here to the post about how using twink/fruity/bottom as an insult is definitely still homophobic. You know me, I'm a trans man, and even "positively" or "neutrally", I am EXTREMELY uncomfortable with being called a bottom or a twink, and there's this weird idea that those things are "unserious" "silly", the attitude is very uncaring about these terms, I guess queer men are seen as fun fruity "sassy" entertainment to giggle about and then move on, as though these things could never be important to real people. Like, "twink" and "bear" and such are just as real and important terms to the gay community as "femme" and "butch" and so many other words. It SHOULD be understood that you shouldn't really assume everybody is fine with you assigning them queer terms with no consideration for what they WANT to be called. It's the same as what name or gender or pronouns you call someone. Even if you thought someone LOOKS like a girl, doesn't mean that MAKES them one. It's the same for twink, just because they exist and you think they're Cute, doesn't mean you get to call them whatever the fuck you want. Fucking hell, just EXISTING as a transmasc makes people think they have a free pass to call you a bottom and a "tboi" and so many other things. And yeah, it's even worse when they do it As An Insult

summary of my new au but its not the well written coherent one so its just me normally talking and being not so normal

theres no happy ending here btw all ansgt. so basically! :3

eclair and roguefort cookie are born to a royal family in the kingdom known as Elixir. they're just these silly siblings born to a royal family, but eventually they get bored of the royal life yadda yadda, so at 4 am roguefort wakes up their brother and is like . "hey bitch U wanna run away?" and hes like "slayy ok!!!" so they put on hoods to stay mysterious and shits and run away! they also change their appearance a bit. so basically skip to the busy early morning in the town square and zoom in. theres two teenagers running around grabbing random stuff. they are having the time of their life seeing as they were never allowed out of castle bounds before this so they're HYPED. everyones looking for the two children that belong to the king, King Camembert!!! and they are just goinh absolutely silly. the sun begins to set and OH I FORGOT TO MENTION! the twins were born from a magical family but eclair was born without powers for some reason. anyways they giggle and goof off then run to the top of the roof of some building and they sit and talk. then they get into a bit of a tiff over Eclair being homesick and saying how he wants to go back home and this pissed off rogue so the tiff evolves into a full blown fucking fight and rogue starts throwing stuff with their magic and eventually they lose control and. whoop! eclair gets pushed off the rooftop and falls to the ground and. rogues like "well shit i just killed my brother in front of like 13 different townspeople" and starts freakinf out. so now rogue is wanted and accused of being a witch so they are on the run with eclairs blood on their hands and a criminal record ((mind you their identity is still unknown))

so king camembert is pissed of since his kids disappeared. but theres also a criminal on the run that actually fuckingkilled his son so he's going batshit crazy -- then rogue changes their appearance to avoid the drama and changes their name, now disguised as "brie cookie" and guess who they find while totally not being a wanted criminal on the run? this bitch named ALMOND COOKIE!!! and hes also this little teenage kid who is deeply traumatized and not having a good time and brie is like "hey girl are you good" and he's like "yourhoteannakiss i mean. wanna be my friend :3" and brie is like "wtf your deranged. okay!! bestie" so they go frolic in the fields and are absolute best friends. brie and almond do silly stuff like foster random animals, steal food for funsies stuff like that they do in books and shits. they falled in love

brie and almond are besties ofc. one day the go on a rooftop. that EXACT SAME ROOFTOP THAT BRIE WENT ON WITH THEIR BROTHER THEY MURDERED!!! and almond is FOCKEN clueless and then brie and almond are giggling like little kids and they do silly gamers stuff then go back to the floor to go and find a place to eepies again and brie judt goes. "hey bbg ihave a confession."

and almond nods curioudly then they reveal their identity and they go "im thst one bitch who killed eclair" and almonds like . shocked and hes like speechless and he gets all scareds and panics and rogue goes "WAIT NO STOP IM SORRYS IM NOT GONNS HURT YOU BBG" and then almond just watches as rogue is taken away by royal guards and tackled by townspeople since he has a fight flight or freeze instinct and he chooses freeze all the time. so rogue is gonna die and suddenly almond snaps out of it and starts to run after them in a panic . since his bff is a murderer but he doesnt care cause hes like. thats my bbg 😾

so rogue is to be killed because they are a witch and a murderer apparently BUT IT EAS A FUCKJG ACCIDENT and btw magic is prohibited unless its used by royalty in this kingdom and nobody actually knows that rogue is the kings child yet . so the dude about to burn rogue alive is like . "YOU FOCKEN WITCH YOU ARE A DIFFERENT SPECIES I HATE YOUR KIND!!! >:(" all meansies and rogue just looks down and starts crying a bits . then he lights the torch and throws that bitch in and rogue starts burning. they csnt run because their tied up and they cant scream because it wont help. theres a crowd with pitchforks and torches calling them mean things like "witch" "freak" and "outcast" THEN SUDDENLY rogue looks up happily as much as they can and sees almond emerge from the crowd yelling and pleading they keep rogue/brie alive. but. hes too late. and that's the end :3
