In episode 339 of Game Mess Decides, Jeff Grubb had the following to say on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf's possible/rumored release window [transcript]:

Question from chat: “Hi Jeff and Mike, when will Dragon Age 4 be shown and released?” Jeff: “Yeah, I mean, I expect it will probably pop up this summer. I don’t know when it’ll be shown is the real answer, that’s the, let’s get that out, I don’t know when it will be shown. I assume it will be shown sometime this summer. Could happen at any time though. It will be released this year [2024], last I heard. That is, and they’re pretty confident about that, doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee, could slip, but right now, internally, they expect to release it later this year, which is why I took it in Fantasy Critic”.

I’m making a webcomic adaptation of The Hobbit! It’s an epic cool passion project that incorporates as much of Tolkien’s prose as possible while also being my own take on the story, it features a variety of different art styles to represent the worlds of different characters in Middle Earth, it’s over 100 pages long already, the art/writing keeps gradually improving over time, and you should follow it! Today I learned that while I can now walk around the neighborhood to look at yard sales that does not mean I should, because I will spend the afternoon with super low blood pressure I mean, I did figure that out after walking like half a block, but then I cam home and set up my own mini yard sale of just plushies, baby blankets, and quilts, and apparently "sitting outside in the sun for an hour" is too much for me physically at the moment? Definitely a learning experience lol I did sell a few plushies, a pair of baby booties, and a quilt! And the quilt went to someone super excited about it! It was her favorite color (it matched both her nail polish and her ring)

i have a theory that rio is everything behind the witches road. billy’s created the road through a hex? nah, rio has created it and has lured who she needs there, there (we still do not know who the who is). rewatch agatha’s reaction as the door appears and she enters the witches road, and also her reaction to rio appearing after they summoned a green witch, with this in mind … i agree with the theories that suggest agatha and rio created the ‘idea’ of the road to collect their power and bodies respectively - alternatively, i believe it may have been solely agatha who created this lie, but rio knew about it, which would mean if rio has created the road, it’s a massive f you to agatha - a very interesting point to remember when rewatching the above scenes i mentioned.

liking yosuke is harder than liking akechi tbh. like akechi’s crimes are entirely fictional but yosuke’s homophobia and misogyny and other general shittiness is genuinely uncomfortable for real people for very understandable reasons. ultimately i could never blame anyone for not being able to stand yosuke’s issues, and no one’s obligated to like the characters i like nor in the specific way i like them, but it’s sooo annoying to read nuanceless takes on either end of hating him based on an extremely shallow reading of the text or liking a squeaky clean sanded down version of him. and that does apply to akechi too, but i think it’s overall harder to overcome the instinctual disgust of yosuke’s actions to grapple with a sincere analysis of his character than it is for akechi, cause even without having hard stats to back this up, i’m pretty sure the demographics of people who like persona include more queer people and women who have faced any sort of prejudice than people who have been murdered, y’know?

these pieces i made are still really meaningful to me so i thought id share! i was struggling with my artist identity all the way back in high school and i was introduced to multimedia classes.. and i remember getting the assigment for a collage about 'identity'. back then i was a friendless depressed weirdo who was struggling with their human identity in all aspects (and still am lol but being a teen made it worse) and when i finished the collage i remember just looking at it allll the time. i was soo proud of it, i couldnt stop staring!! the meaning was the monsters of society want to escape from their current world that doesnt accept them and try to find their own paradise where they can live as they are (1. i was a godzilla kinnie 2. yes its a wolfs rain reference). i decided to remake it for my digital print class in my final year of college, i love both versions so much and i hope you guys do too!

Like, it's probably clear at this point what happened, but let me provide the sequence of events just to shed a little light on the meltdown and what it's like being in the group chat right now:

Start reading a shoujo fantasy manga in 2009 (I was a teenager) and very quickly latch onto the B-pairing which is so doomed by the narrative the main character and the male lead kiss and sort of start dating within the first couple volumes, while this second male lead - whose literal name means it is his role in the story to bring these two other characters together against his own interests - silently yearns for the main character who is oblivious, while being the funny guy everyone underestimates, while having a backstory so tragic and violent he wants to spare every other character from it no matter how often he's asked, while being so genre-aware he's practically walking meta

Watch over the years as this shoujo fantasy becomes a slice-of-life about the main character's career as a fantasy pharmacist. The characters are now adults. This main character and the second male lead spend whole arcs together hundreds of miles away from the prince the main character is supposed to be dating. This goes on for YEARS

An anime adaptation goes for two seasons from 2015-2016. The fandom grows. Everyone pities the fans of the B-pairing because this is a shoujo and the A-pairing is already together. The small B-pairing fandom grows nonetheless, starts a Discord, and are viewed as insane people from there on out, which is absolutely true, but still

The manga continues in the meanwhile. After yet another arc where the B-pairing has an adventure together, the author goes on hiatus for 1 year

It's 2024. The manga returns from hiatus, where the first 2 chapters of the new arc immediately address the B-pairing and their circumstances. B-pairing fandom is starting to lose its mind but we are used to setting our expectations low and relying on speculation and fanfiction for romantic developments anyway

September 23rd, the 3rd chapter since the hiatus drops. The main character opines on the strengths and virtues of the second male lead and defends him to a stranger without knowing he's listening in. He drops his impenetrable funny guy/tough guy act, CRIES, and after 130 chapters of silent pining, thinking his presence is unwanted and his feelings are unwelcome which has caused him to always hesitate to even touch her, he hugs her

He asks her to keep his heart, which he means both platonically and, unbeknownst to her, almost certainly romantically. She says she'd like to just keep all of him - forever - and hugs him back

This happens on the first day of the B-pairing's ship week, which will have its 10th anniversary next year

This also happens while the B-pairing fandom is doing a reread of the manga

The B-pairing fandom loses its collective shit

More people are screaming in joy at each other in the Discord voice chat than have ever been in the Discord voice chat at the same time. Everyone feels both drunk and high for days at a time. It is now day 7 and it is still hard to believe this story development actually happened. The current arc has barely started. We are not okay
