Frank and Home anon here, since i wanted to expand on my idea from the other blog. ive been having brainrot with these two since those doodles of Home kicking Franks ass in chess. i feel like the ship works??? weirdly well??? like, Home obv has some cryptid stress stuff going on in your blog lore, and i love the idea of him being the goofy one while Frank, the guy who watches butterflies and goes bird watching, is the grumpier one among the two. Home prob has some old ass board games on his dusty shelves that he got at some garage sale but didnt have anyone to play with, and Frank seems like the person to listen to podcasts about the history of said ancient ass board games. he doesnt even know how to play, but he can scope it out on Homes shelves to give him the lore of Chinese Checkers. i think they would both like a bunch of calming activities to bond over. they seem like the couple to have a garden in their backyard and wake up every morning to see if the tomatoes are blooming yet (Frank grumbles at having to constantly pull out the weeds but is secretly hype to taste something homemade). also, you can NOT tell me Home isnt a drama queen lover. youre telling me this guy is a silent house that just listens to conversations all day long, and DOESNT like hearing about tea? him and Frank would watch reality tv shows. Frank complains about how fake and stupid everyone is. when theres a betrayal in the friend group, he acts like that was HIS best friend shooting him in the back. Home just listens with a hand covering his mouth, somehow in shock that the girlies are, once again, talking behind each others backs (it gets him every time). this ask is getting pretty long so im going to plug my brain here. in conclusion: teehee

Trey finally gets another event SSR (man deserves it after like 4 Rs OTL) and not gonna lie, he kinda looks like my grandpa in that outfit... I really like the pattern on his rose print scarf and the flowerpiece though; you can also see the classic Heartslabyul solid sleeve-checkered sleeve combo. The parasol he's holding is nice too, it makes me think about him whimsically twirling it around as he walks through confetti.

This isn't one of my favorite looks for Ortho, but again I really appreciate how the designers and artists used their creativity to reinterpret the traditional NY garb into robotic parts! You can tell Ortho's "clothes" are more blocky and rigid than the others', yet it still retains the festive feel of the line. There seem to be cables and wires attached to the piece pinned to his chest, and, of course, three doggos at his waist to symbolize Cerberus~

Trey and Ortho being on the same banner... It feels like Ortho was dropped off for Trey to babysit, and Trey's the kind old grandpa who dotes on his grandkid.

We'd heard there was going to be a cloudless sky tonight, and perfect conditions to see the Milky Way and maybe even a shooting star or two.

It was the perfect end to a wonderful first week of being in the neighborhood, and I already loved it. I'd even gotten gifts from a few of the residents, though none were as memorable as a huge gift basket wrapped in a big bow, full of apples.

It had a little card in it signed by Wally, and in the short time I'd known him we'd gotten to spend a lot of time together, becoming freinds. Though there was something... off about him I couldn't quite place. He seemed... overeager to please me. Maybe he was like this with all his friends, and I just hadn't noticed, but he was definitely... clingy.

He'd asked me to come to his favorite skywatching spot, a secluded hilltop surrounded by trees so we could stagaze together.

I was headed that way now, with a picnic basket under my arms. I made it to the top, waving to Wally as I neared him.

He watched me the whole way up.

He'd already set out a nice big checkered blanket for us to sit or maybe lay on.

"You made it, y/n!" He exlaimed, already sitting down and patting the spot beside him. I put my basket down and sat next to him.

"What's with the basket? Did you bring goodies? You know you didn't have to do that... you're such a sweetheart!"

"Ha, yeah," I chuckled. "I got some cheese and crackers for us to share. Man, the sky sure is pretty tonight, isn't it?"

"It sure is," Wally said quietly, although he was looking at me.

I just kept my focus on the sky above, even as I could feel his eyes on me. I fidgeted with the fringes of the blanket absent-mindedly, a little nervous.

After a moment I could feel an arm drape around me, and his lips brushing against my ear.

"You look stunning in the moonlight," he whispered.

I had to supress a shiver from running up my back.

"You, um, really think so? That's... very nice of you to say," I muttered in response.

"I know so," he whispered back.

He pulled me close to him gently, so I was pressed against him. I just kept my eyes on the stars. I wouldn't move my head or my eyes, I couldn't tell you why, but I was terrified of meeting his gaze.

"Y/n"... he whispered. I didn't move.

"Come on. Look at me. I want to see your beautiful eyes..."

I felt the tips of his fingers on my cheek, pulling me to him. I could resist for only a moment before I complied.

"Ah. There you are."

We looked. We looked and looked and looked.

Imagined teen Charles got involved in an incident and thus time travelled to future screaming shouting crying throwing for discovering the adult F1 driver self is so close to another F1 driver called Max Verstappen, like what the hell did they do in that locked room. Young Charles has made the determination that he need to go back as soon as possible and the first thing he gonna do after back is to crush Max Verstappen on track to murder both of them for the future.

It's November 2023, Las Vegas, he looks at the television and sees two men, Max and someone who looks too much like himself for comfort. But that can't be him. That person is attached at the hip to Max, laughing at his stupid jokes, joining him on interviews. It can't be.

Then he hears the interviewer say his name.

"Charles"

That's him.

Charles starts to feel ill when he sees the date on a poster advertising the return of Formula 1 to Las Vegas, it's 2023 and apparently Charles is best friends with fucking Max Verstappen.

That wasn't - no - Charles hates Max. Hates him. He'd promised himself he'd never be caught dead anywhere near Max, not unless Charles was destroying him on track. Where did it all go wrong?

Charles watches the race. He comes in second. Or rather this alternate future version of himself comes in second. Second to fucking Max.

Charles balls his fists as he watches the podium, that's him up there smiling at Max, happily celebrating. Oh great now they are getting into a car together and why the hell are they looking at each other like that?

It's actually so gross.

Max must have done something. Or maybe Charles somehow got concussed enough in a future crash that made him like being around Max? That seemed likely.

Suddenly reality starts to warp around him. He's in the wrong time, he has to go back.

A wormhole swallows him, throwing him back into his F2 car right as he gets the checkered flag.

Charles stands on the first podium of his Formula 2 career with one goal in mind, stop himself from ever getting close with Max fucking Verstappen.

Good thing he has a plan to make sure they stay enemies.

Hey! I want to apologise in advance because well I'm going to cry about my life in your asks and ruin your mood. I'm a second year? First year student? I'm not sure anymore. I had my first year final exams and got my results 2 days ago. I failed anatomy. Not by just a bit but by 18 marks. People who have not studied even a single day the whole year somehow passed. I was blaming the system, the checkers and what not but my mom kinda said that your failure is your fault more than anyone else's and she's not wrong. I always dreaded studying anatomy, I hated it cuz it was hard, maybe? Idk on the other hand i scored pretty good in biochemistry and physiology. I have a month roughly to prepare for my supplementry exams that are in February and if I pass I can rejoin my batch , I'll be with my friends again. But to study alone this month feels so difficult, fomo as my friends and classmates go to clinics and OT's constantly makes me anxious. My parents are very supportive, they were very positive and that I have gotten a chance to resolve my fear. My mental health is fluctuating so bad, a moment I'm so motivated that I can do it! And the next minute I'm in pits of sadness and dispair. Idk why im sharing all this but as a fellow in medical field I hope maybe i could have a word of encouragement or maybe a reality check. My friends believe hundred percent that I'll pass and I'm hopeful too but my anxiety does not rest. If I fail I'd have to repeat the year and be with my junior batch. Thank you for listening and I'm sorry again.

Do you know how many times I failed anatomy? Well I won't say the exact number because that's frankly embarrassing, but I'm probably on some sort of list of "worst students to ever disgrace the halls of the anatomy department"... I failed anatomy and biochemistry and had to repeat first year. Then I failed anatomy and physiology and had to retake second year too... Shit happens.

Do you know why they say med school is hard? It's because it is damn hard. Most students will fail some exams here or there, some will fail more than just a few exams, and very few will pass all of theirs. (Even those who don't study and somehow seem to always pass? Even their luck runs out sometimes). Sometimes it's unfair, and sometimes it's our fault.

Your exam results has nothing to do with how good of a doctor you will become! It's just school, nothing more, nothing less. See me, I was so bad at med school, just terrible at it, and now that I'm a doctor, I might not be the best ever out there, but I'm good at my job.

I know this sucks now, it sucks to fail, and it sucks to study again when you could be doing something else. But it's just an exam, not the end of the world. You cry, then you dry your tears, sit back, and study as hard as you can.

And there is no guarantee you will pass the next time either, passing is never ever guaranteed! You just study and hope for the best. And if you fail again, you cry some more, then realise that maybe your "study as hard as you can" wasn't really your hardest, or you realise you aren't studying effectively and you need to find a way of studying that better suits you. We all have to learn how to study...

And sometimes you just say, fuck it, and pass purely out of spite.

Anyways. Don't compare yourself to others. You live your life, not theirs. And unfortunately, yours now includes some more exams and studying... Allow yourself some time to wallow in despair, you absolutely deserve that relief, but after that, give yourself a pep talk sweetheart and get back to studying. And do something fun, and have some treats! You deserve that too!

“Is everyone okay?” Jack asked his fellow newsies.

The boys nodded.

The day had started out like any other, but one of Delancey’s goons had pushed Crutchie on his paper route, which caused a fight to break out. It lasted a good minute, with everyone getting a few punches in, and only ended when the boys were threatened with the cops as no one wanted to be taken to the refuge.

Jack looked each member of the group up and down, saying their names to himself to make a mental note that they were actually alright. When he got to the last boy, he paused. Davey. He was smiling as he always did, but his eyes were dark and pained and he was clutching his right side.

“What’s the matter, Davey?” Jack asked, noticing he was also struggling to stand. “Jack, I…” Davey muttered, falling forward.

Jack caught him as he fell and situated himself so that Davey was lying comfortably in his lap. He removed the hand holding his side with little resistance and peeled open his vest. His eyes widened and he gasped; a large red stain was spreading quickly across Davey’s checkered shirt.

“Shit!” Jack said, covering the spot with his own hand and pressing down hard. Davey groaned and stared up at Jack, his breath coming out in small short bursts, “it was Mo. He had a knife,” Davey said, “got me real good.”

“Shh, don’t talk. You need to save your energy” Jack replied. He glanced down at Davey’s side and his heart sank, realizing that the pressure he was applying had done nothing to stop the bleeding.

“Don’t just stand there, get some help!” Jack called out to the other newsies. A few boys took off running while the rest stood watch.

There was a brief pause in the action and Jack became hyper aware of the sounds of New York City. He was only brought back to reality by Davey’s voice saying, “hold me.”

Without hesitation, Jack wrapped his arms around Davey and pulled him close. Despite the added warmth, Davey shivered, the likely combination of pain and adrenaline.

“I never thought my life would end this way” Davey said.

“Don’t talk like that, yer gonna be fine” Jack responded, though he had a hard time believing his own words.

“P-promise me you’ll l-l-look after Les.”

Jack nodded, “promise.”

He looked Davey over again, the uneven rise and fall of his chest telling him he was struggling to breathe. Davey’s face was pale even for him and stared back at Jack with eyes that didn’t necessarily know what they were looking at. Jack pressed a hand to Davey’s forehead, his skin cold to the touch.

“I’m s-so tired.” Davey’s eyes blinked open and close.

“I know, but ya gotta hang on. The boys will be back soon and then the docs will have you patched up in no time.”

“Jack, you and I both know I-I’m not going to m-make it that l-long.”

Jack let out a small sob and pressed his forehead against Davey’s as the tears started to fall.

He lifted his head and Davey reached up with what little strength he had left and began to wipe away his tears, “y-you were fine b-before y-you met me and you’ll be f-fine long a-after I’m g-gone too.”

“But I don’t want to live without you, I can’t live without you.”

“Jack, please. Y-you need to let me go.”

“No, Davey, ya can’t do this, ya can’t die, ya just can’t.”

Davey’s eyes fluttered open once more and locked with Jack’s, “I’ll a-a-always be w-with you. I lo-love y-“ Jack frantically planted a kiss on Davey’s lips. Davey embraced the kiss as his body went limp in Jack’s arms.

“Davey?” Jack asked. The boy did not answer.

“Dav-oh god, don’t do this” Jack said, shaking him slightly, “please wake up, please.”

He let out a scream and broke down, as sirens wailed and the sound of running feet approached.
