The lost daughter
Brother!Ragnarssons x Sister!Reader
Warnings: Fluff, Sigurd being a dick, Angst?
Words: 2.414 (think this one's my longest story!!)
Emotions were all she ever knew. Bad ones, painful ones. She didn't understand why she felt them so intense, whenever something happened. People usually got hurt very badly if she got upset. A little girl that could kill people in the most torturous way possible, without even having to move a single finger or having the thought in mind.
The town she lived in always said that her "witch" of a mother was the reason behind this cursed child. They tried hurting her but she ran, she ran straight into a group of men. No not just men, women were there too. Women she couldn't help but stare at. None of the people in her town looked like them.
Her town was called Wessex, rumors were that in the earlier years, vikings have already been there, even had a deal with the great king Ecgberht. But that was years ago, way before the little girl was even born.
The man in front of the group smirked slightly before he leaned down to her height. "Now who might you be? You wouldn't know where a witch named Meredith lives, would you?" The man studied her features, each one identical to her mothers, except the ocean blue eyes. A feature left from her father.
Taking a step back she tripped over her own leg only to be caught by the man in front of her. He wore his hair in a braid and his beard was longer than she ever saw anyone wear. His eyes didn't hold any danger in them, maybe curiosity, but nothing she had to be scared of. Calming her nerves slightly she stood up straight again.
"witch?" She tilted her head confused, not understanding what that word really meant, only hearing it when someone insulted her mother. Her eyebrows furrowed in anger. "My momma was no witch! She was a healer and helped lots of people!" Pushing away from him, she heard something snap behind the man.
A man holding his arm, which was twisted in a weird angle. The man was screaming in pain as his legs twisted as well, painfully bringing him to his death. It took the little girl some time to snap out of her emotions and look over to the man, only to gasp at the state of the man.
Covering her eyes quickly with her hands she turned away, a quiet sob escaping her. The other men gasped in fear, she had to be blessed by the gods they thought. "By the gods it is true!" The man with the braid laughed and pulled her into his chest. "You are coming home with us, little one. Bet you want to meet your family!" Peeking through her fingers she nervously chewed her lip. She wasn't sure if she could trust him, but her momma once told her a story about a man she could always trust if he ever came to her. A man named Ragnar Lothbrok.
The man, who was carrying her, didn't look exactly how her mother explained, but his icy blue eyes reminded her of him. "Are you Ragnar Lothbrok?" Her voice came out in a whisper as she held onto him. A laugh rumbled in his chest as he put her down on the boat. "I am his son, Björn Ironside. My father and I were often here in Wessex, he met a woman, a healer he used to tease by calling her a witch, they shared a bed and later on rumors spread, that she was with his child. You. I am your brother, we're going to Kattegat, our fathers home. Our home."
Confusion settled in the little girls chest, she didn't fully believe him, but somehow she thought she could trust him. The hope of having a family battling the fear of getting killed or worse.
They traveled for months on no end, the little witch started to enjoy the sea. She learned many things thanks to her brother. The gods became her favorite topic, next to her having four more brothers back at home. Giggling she ran over to Björn. "Brother! When will we arrive?" Excitement settled in her bones as she held onto his hand, looking up to him with wide eyes. Björn couldn't help but smile slightly at how excited she was. "We will arrive soon, look."
When she looked into the distant she saw land becoming bigger, they were close, just about to reach it. She was nervous, he had warned her about how different each brother is, but she was excited. Excited to see a family she longed for. Excited for a land that would also belong to her in some way.
As they arrived she was nervous, people looked at her weirdly, making her scared that she might hurt someone. Björn was walking in the front with her, three men waiting for them in a big hall. The girl had already heard a lot about them and could easily tell who each one of them was. But one wasn't here, she was disappointed.
The men looked at Björn confused. "Welcome home, brother. I see you did not return alone, who is that child?" Ubbe smiled slightly walking up to them. "She's our sister. Father laid with a woman from Wessex, she was a healer I got to know her a bit." The little girl started fidgeting with her hands, trying to release some of her stress. Ubbes eyes found hers, she could only see kindness in them.
A chuckle came from where the other two stood, the blonde man laughing at how ridicules this sounded. "Be serious, brother. You couldn't possibly believe something that stupid." Sigurd was being gruesome, looking at the child in disgust at how her clothes looked. She was no child of Ragnar for him. she didn't look like one either. Sneering he gave her one last glare as he walked away.
Biting her lip she looked to the ground, counting the seconds and minutes so she could calm down. A sigh came from the other three men. Hvitserk slowly made his way towards her kneeling down so he was her height. A smile forming on his face as he studied her eyes, the blue reminding him of his little brother. Even the white in her eyes was a little blue.
„Looks like Ironsides is telling the truth.“. A grin spread on Hvitserk face as he stood up straight. Soon there was a clicking sound to be heard. Ivar came into the great hall, wondering what all the noise is about, having only heard parts of it. „Gods would you just keep it down, Hvitserk.“
Fear settled in her stomach, she was terrified of meeting Ivar ever since Björn told her all the stories about him. When her eyes finally met his she couldn't help but flinch. His eyes matched hers the most. They were almost identical and a giddy smile formed on her face, before she could stop herself. With him it was the clearest that he was her brother. "I heard Sigurd whine about our brother having found some bastard child from father, that couldn't seriously be his..."
Ivar leaned down towards the little girl, tilting his head slightly, inspecting her, before grinning like a lunatic. "But as I see she looks more like a child of Ragnar than he does." Hvitserk laughed and Ubbe couldn't help but grin a little at Ivars statement. All of them were nervous for his reaction, since he was the hardest to please, but somehow her eyes made him realize it the quickest.
The little girl couldn't believe how easy they all accepted her and included her in everything. Everyone except Sigurd. He spread the rumors of her having some powers, but instead of making the people be disgusted of her they started admiring her, bringing her brothers gifts for her. Every person in Kattegat thought she was a god. How couldn't she be? A child of the great Ragnar Lothbrok, it was about time one of them had to become a god.
Even her brothers sometimes believed it, but they also soon learned that her power held a lot of danger. Ivar was the first to notice that her eyes, like his, told in what situation her powers would be. If they were blue in the whites, then it was dangerous for her to interact with a lot of people meaning, keeping her with Ubbe and Hvits would be the wisest decision. Of course they trusted Ivar with her, but most of the times Ivar himself was somewhat worried about upsetting her too much.
On her good days she would walk with her crippled brother through the market, helping him get things and later on hearing about all the adventures he went on. She wouldn't tell but she did like him the best, since he understood her the most. Ubbe was a close second. Björn left for another raid soon after he brought her to the others, which sandend her the most was that he didn't even say goodbye.
She loved her brothers very much, even Sigurd. Ivar was very protective of her when it came to him. He was never allowed too close to her or to be alone with her. It was rare that Ivar cared that much, but he knew how cruel Sigurd could be if he wanted to, and he didn't want her to go through the same things he himself went through.
During a feast late at night she sat with her brothers, giggling and laughing as Hvitserk told her the funniest stories and Torvi braiding her hair, she felt whole. Ivar was sitting in the throne looking over the people, seeing how they looked at his sister in fear, he liked that they feared her even if they thought she was a god, but he also knew how it upset her that they avoided her at all costs when she was close.
Sigurd hated everything about her actually being treated like all of his brothers, like an actual child of Ragnar even though Ragnar himself never even knew her. On this particular night he drank one too many cups of ale and his company wouldn't stop talking about how great her powers are and how she was the hope for the people in Kattegat. The hate he felt for Ivar was nothing compared to the hate he felt for her. It made him see red, he got up and walked straight up to her as she was wandering around the hall, looking at different things.
Ivar was watching her carefully, making sure nothing could happen. Sigurd grabbed her arm forcefully making her stop and turn towards him, a gasps escaped her. Looking up to him she gave him an excited smile. "Brother! Are you enjoying the feast? Ubbe said I may not try the ale yet because-" But he interrupted her by grabbing her face hard and squishing her cheeks together. "I am not your brother! Neither are they!" He pointed to were Ubbe and Hvitserk were laughing together. "Just because Ragnar laid with some bitch in Wessex doesn't make you anything to us! Oh and Ivar? He's playing his own games, he only keeps you around so that you can help him archive the power he wants!" A smirk was on Sigurds face as he watched how tears streamed down her cheeks and how her lip quivered.
Sadly for him he did not notice the blue of her eyes and how she was further away from the others, to calm her powers. One might think that the ax hitting him in the back was her, but people tend to forget how hotheaded Ivar the boneless was, now that he seemed calm compared to his sister. Ivar couldn't help it and threw the ax, hearing his brothers harsh and hurtful words, making him not realize what he was doing as his hand found the weapon.
Ivar didn't mean to kill his brother, panic spread in his chest as he quickly limped over to the two of them. The little girls eyes were wide and still filled with unshed tears as she did her best to keep Sigurd upright. Of course she was upset with him, but he was still her beloved brother, even if he didn't see himself that way.
The hall quieted down quickly. Hvitserk and Ubbe were quick to join their siblings helping the girl to carefully lay down their brother. Both shot daggers with their eyes at Ivar, who was slightly trembling, scared to have actually killed him. Ubbe tried to pull her away from Sigurd, not wanting her to see so much blood at such a young age, not caring about viking tradition at this point. This was her brother dying, she shouldn't see him like that.
But she had other plans. As if it was instinct, she pulled away from Ubbes hold and pulled the ax out of Sigurds abdomen. Her hands covering in blood as she pressed them onto the open wound applying as much pressure as she can before closing her eyes, saying a quiet prayer to the gods. Repeating the prayer over and over again in barely a whisper her eyes shot open, the blue now seeming like it glowed, making the men around her flinch slightly.
They all saw the wound healing. It healed quickly, way quicker than anything else and her eyes soon stopped glowing as the wound was completely gone and Sigurs eyes snapped open. The little girls eyes closed slowly as she released him from her grip and dropped exhausted to the ground, making Hvitserk quickly catched her head, before it hit the floor, picking her fully up. All of them were silent for a moment as they listened to Sigurds heavy breathing.
None of them could believe how blessed they were, having a sister as strong as her. It didn't matter to them if she was a god or a simple witch blessed by them. All that mattered to them was that she was safe and taken care of. She was so young with such great power. A power she needed help with, a power that they all had to tame with her. But it was alright, if that's what it takes for her to feel loved and needed.
The Ragnarssons could not hide the fact that their sister was the reason they all connected fully again. She truly was a blessing from the all father.

Into the Darkness, I become Stronger
Daryl X Injured! Reader
Time frame: The Prison (Slight Cannon Divergence)
Pronouns: She/her, You, Your, [Y/N]
Warnings: Blood, Gunshot, Kidnapping, Hostage situation, swearing, POV switching, Nonsexual intimacy, Sexual Intimacy,
Summary: When you and Phoenix go out to pick Elderberries for the Prison, a man from another group attacks you and knocks you out. Dragging you to a clearing in the woods he makes his demands. He wants to know about the prison and claims he and his people don't want to hurt anyone, but will in order to survive. He claims they need weapons and in order to get them... he's taking your daughter Phoenix as collateral.
It was just supposed to be a simple foraging expedition. Nothing major so you had only brought your knife and a few buckets to carry the berries in. Nothing you've never done on your own before. Hell even before the turn you had done this. You and Hershel had noticed the Elder Berry bushes growing near a creek several days prior on your way back to the prison after a walk to clear some of the walkers that had piled against the fence. You were fairly certain you were still visible from those on watch at the prison… you never would have left by yourself if you hadn’t been sure. You most certainly would never have taken Phoenix with you if you had known what was about to happen. But now, bound and gagged you glared at the attacker who snuck up so easily on you both. Who hit you while your back was turned and slung you over his shoulder like you were a sack of potatoes. The same asshole who played and talked so easily to your too trusting four-year old daughter... You sat watching on wondering if and when the others would take notice of your absence. How long had it been now? 10 minutes? Four hours? God time felt like an eternity yet moving so fast you couldn’t comprehend it. “Why is my momma tied up and bleedin'?” Phoenix asked timidly, her voice dripping with a fear that broke through your thoughts and brought you back to reality. A bead of sweat dripped down your face mixing with the blood from your fresh wounds that stung the cut as you watched her with worried eyes. “Because…” the man muttered, pulling Phoenix’s attention back towards himself as he handed her a fully clothed Barbie with matted blonde hair. It was a toy she refused to part with after her father returned home with it several months ago. Poor Barbie somehow managed to end up naked with no hopes of getting dressed by herself or your daughter. It was always up to the adults to help her change the doll into her new more fashionable outfit Phoenix had stored in her pockets and backpack. Your captor… while patient with Phoenix, seemed to also be having fun at your expense. He was watching you intensely, grinning at the way your tears intermingled with the blood that flowed from the fresh wound at your temple. “You’re mommy doesn’t like to listen.” The man muttered standing to his full height. He was tall... taller than you had initially thought, putting to rest any ideas you had of simply taking him down from where you sat. He had a long scar covering the left side of his face that crawled down his throat and a tattoo of an anchor on his left calf. Walking around your daughter you watched him carefully as he glared hatefully into your eyes once he was hidden behind her back. “You see,” the man paused as if to think about his words, placing his hands on either one of Phoenix's shoulders before speaking again. “I really needed to know something important. But your mommy doesn’t want to talk. She tried to hurt me.” The man growled indicating to his limp and stab wound he bore in his right thigh that just missed his artery. Lucky bastard got off easy. “So…” the man muttered, pulling his pistol from his hostler he pointed the gun at the back of Phoenix’s head. “I thought a time out after a real long walk would help mommy want to talk. If not… there is always… incentive.”
The clicking of the hammer sent icy chills down your spine. Your eyes widened and it was as if time itself was at a standstill. Every dust particle that blew past your face, every leaf that tumbled in the wind, every hair that stuck to your skin, every bead of sweat that dripped from your face seemed to stop in time as you stared at the man holding the gun to your daughter's head. Phoenix was a ghostly pale color as she realized exactly what was going on. Her terrified gaze trained on you waiting for you to tell her what to do next. You could only hope that someone was nearby... that the unfamiliar area to you was only slightly off the beaten path of the normal route your husband took when out on a run and he would find you if no one else would. But the silence of the woods was deafening. Swallowing the thick lump in your throat you shook your head, letting the fat tears you were holding back fall to your thighs. "Awe come on now darlin'." God you hated the way that word fell so easily out of that bastard's mouth. "Don't cry over something that ain't happened yet. You can prevent this. Just think long and hard about how many people you got in your camp... How many people ya love there... Ya don't want them to get hurt. So when I come over to ya and remove your gag. I want ya to tell me just what all you got in your camp. How many weapons and bullets. How many people. How much food... water. And tell me the truth... Because if you lie... trust me... we'll find out about it." You nodded in compliance, the sick feeling of fearful shivers coursing through your body making you feel weak. As the man stepped towards you, the barrel of his gun remained trained on Phoenix's head. "Don't worry sweetheart. Just keep playin' with yer dolls." He muttered, softly turning his attention to you as he pulled the coarse material from your mouth. "Now talk." You wanted to scream... to fight back. To break the bonds that held you like the superhero your daughter believed you were and defeat the evil that currently held you. But you knew better. Any retaliation would result in her death. He had the advantage. So you lied. Strategically. "W-we don't have much..." You muttered, your voice gruff and cracking due to fear and thirst. "Well I want to know about what you do have not what you don't." The man growled. You nodded glancing at your daughter before continuing. "We have about eight people... and maybe a gun for each person..." You lied straight through your teeth. The prison was well fortified with weapons Rick and the others had found before the fall of Woodbury. There were lots of people now too. A whole community. Phoenix's uncle Merle. Her father, Daryl. Everyone you cared about. You weren't about to sacrifice them all when you had a chance to outwit this guy... And the man seemed to buy it. Nodding along with every word. "So only eight people and eight guns to clear out the entire prison?" He asked seriously. You shook your head no. Another lie. "No. We have just been living in one of the smaller cell blocks. It was too difficult to clear anything more. Too many walkers." The man hummed looking from you to the ground in thought as if he was considering your words carefully. "Alright... tell your people we want six of your weapons." He growled turning the barrel of his gun on you now. "We'll let you have two for self defense... living in a prison must be dangerous especially with a little one." He muttered looking back at Phoenix with a soft gaze. Stepping around you, the man pulled out a knife and cut the bonds that held your hands. Your wrists were red and raw as you held them in front of yourself, rubbing them gingerly. "Luckily for you, you won't need to worry about her tonight." The man's words cut deep and sent another wave of sick fear through you. Looking up you watched as he held a hand out to your daughter who looked frozen in place. "Come on sweetie. It's time to pack up and go. Mommy has business to attend to. She'll come get you in the morning. We get to have a sleep over."
It was instinctual. You moved to fast to your feet and stumbled, your body too weak from the blow it had taken earlier and your blood not ready to pump so fast. It made your vison falter and fade, darkening as if you were about to pass out. Pain. Pain was all you felt after the shockingly loud bang of the gunshot. Pain that radiated through your left leg and up into your core. Pain that was all consuming and powerful. You didn't even realize you were screaming until the ringing in your ears had subsided. "I really didn't want you to do that..." The man growled stepping up to where you laid, holding tightly to Phoenix's wrist as she tugged hard to get away. "But I guess we can say we're kind of even now... right?" He hissed pulling your daughter, your world out of sight, her screams echoing in your tired mind as your vison went in and out of focus until suddenly you were seeing and hearing nothing at all. Visons of your life played on repeat in your mind like flashes in a movie theater. Your first ever memory. Your favorite memory with a sibling. Your first pet. The first time you met your husband Daryl as a young teen in high school. Skipping behind the bleachers with him during prep rallies and school assemblies just to talk and share things with each other you couldn't with anyone else... which eventually evolved into sweet secretive kisses. The first time you touched each other sensually. The night he proposed under the light of the full moon near the lake you both more time at than your homes. The day you both eloped deciding that traditional marriage was too... well traditional for you both. The day you told him you were pregnant and the day you both realized how scared of the future you both were. The day you told Merle and the way your husband's brother's face lit up as he touched your tummy and felt Phoenix kick against his hand. The day you gave birth. The moment everything changed and you realized that you hadn't known real fear until the turn. Blinking awake you winced at the pain that still ebbed through your entire body. You had so much to live for. So much to fight for... You didn't know how long you were out but you refused to let yourself give up there. Crawling to your feet you stood on shaky legs and began to stumble in the direction of where you believed the road could be. The sun was falling low in the sky and you knew darkness would soon follow. You only hoped Daryl would be home when you got there.
Hours passed before you ever reached a paved road that looked vaguely familiar. But you were sure to use your knife to carve symbols on trees that you passed so that you could get back to the spot you were at when you left to make the trade the next morning. Trade... God the word made you sick and brought a vile taste to your mouth. Trade was a word for goods and services... not humans and children... The sky had just turned dark and the moon had risen in the sky by the time you reached the prison gates. The walkers that had piled up were taken care of in the beginning of the night so as you approached you simply waited for whoever was on duty to open the gates. It didn't take long for Carl to come running over. "[Y/N]!" He screamed pulling the chain with a small grunt letting you quite literally tumble into the prison grounds with a soft whine. You felt his warm hands on your shoulders then heard the boy curse for the first time. You wanted to laugh but the pain was simply overwhelming. "[Y/N] where's Phoenix?" He asked panic dripping from his voice. But you could only sob. "I- Daryl." You got out. "I need Daryl." You gasped, trying to stand as a disheveled Glenn and Maggie came sprinting from the guard tower. "Jesus what happened?!" Maggie screamed rushing to your side. Carl shook his head. "Don't know... I'm going to get Hershel and my dad." He muttered sprinting off to the prison door. "Where's Daryl? I need Daryl." You whined, doubling over on yourself and falling to your knees as you tried to walk up the steep incline to the prison. "[Y/N]! Please be careful!" Maggie cried trying to assess your wounds. "Daryl? He's inside right now, I can get him for you if you need me too." Glenn offered and with a small nod he sprinted up the hill.
Daryl's POV~~~
It was quiet inside the prison. Eerily so. Daryl couldn't get a wink of sleep without you and Phoenix by his side. So instead he focused on sharpening the points of his arrows as he sat on the mattress he shared with you and your daughter up in the loft. Merle perched himself on the top step leaning on the railing. He seemed busy sharpening his own knife but Daryl knew better. He knew Merle was keeping an eye on him. Making sure he was ok with you gone, with you missing for so long. "So ya say this place has a stocked kitchen?" Merle asked softly, adjusting the way his right foot rested against the opposite railway. Daryl hummed providing a swift nod in response. "Think that wife of yours will make us hotcakes like she used to when she gets back?" Daryl blinked looking up at Merle's shit eating grin. Shaking his head he couldn't help but chuckle. He knew Merle was joking but he could still tell Merle was worried about you. "I'm sure if you ask nicely she will." Daryl muttered, placing his arrow back in it's quiver. Merle nodded smiling brightly at Daryl. "Good... I missed havin' hotcakes."
The loud unexpected bang of the front door to the prison slamming open shook Daryl into action. Jumping to the edge of the loft he peered down at Carl who was trying to catch his breath. Walking through the hall of the prison he adjusted his hat on his head as he stuck his head in his dad's cell and a few words were uttered which Daryl couldn't quite catch. As Carl got closer now with Judith in his arms Daryl leaned down catching out of the corner of his eye as Merle hoisted himself up to stand along side him. He watched Carl pop into Hershel and Beth's cell and he thought... for a moment he was dropping the tike off for a while as he and Rick went to deal with something... but as Rick stepped out of the cell and bolted out of the prison and Carl followed suite with Hershel hot on his heels, Daryl got a sick uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. Jogging down the steps of the loft, he heard Merle huff but knew he wouldn't say much in protest. Not when it was you and Phoenix out there... not when so much was at stake. Glenn met him at the bottom of the steps, a grim expression and blood covering his hands. "Daryl..." He muttered softly. Dread filled Daryl's soul as he shook his head. "Hey... Let me go first..." Merle muttered softly, placing his hand on Daryl's shoulder. In a strange way it was grounding to know Merle was there. To know that if... if what he thought could possibly be outside Merle would handle it. Because Daryl knew deep in his soul he couldn't do it. He wasn't Rick... He couldn't handle it alone. As Glenn glared at his older brother something snapped inside himself. "He doesn't need you, Merle." Glenn hissed. Merle huffed but backed off like a dog scolded. "Hey! Don't fuckin' tell him nothin'!" Daryl growled stepping into Glenn's face. He knew he was in the wrong. He knew he was out of line. But his emotions were high. He'd ask for forgiveness later. Letting Merle skirt past him he kept his face as stoic as he could hold it as he walked passed Glenn and he followed his elder brother out into the yard to face his fear. Light shined down on Hershel and Rick as they examined the crumpled body of a woman laying in the yard. Beaten... battered... bleeding and broken... With no child... no Phoenix. Daryl wanted to scream. To cry. To break. Not his little girl... not his Phoenix. Not their baby... Not when he fought so hard to get them here. Not after everything he's seen. Not after Sophia... He couldn't loose her. He felt himself freeze for a moment. Hoping... praying that maybe if it happened if she was bit, you took care of it. He couldn't do it. But as you screamed out the doctor pulling a bloody rag from your leg he knew now wasn't the time to freeze or break down. [Y/N] needed him. His fucking wife needed him right fucking now. Daryl ran to your side as fast as he could his heart shattering as he every whimper and scream you uttered.
Your POV~~~~
You watched as Maggie poured some of the water from her canteen onto an old rag she held. Gently she swiped the now dried blood from your face before ushering you to lay flat in the grass. "I need ta look at your leg." She said softly, lifting your leg onto her own folded ones as she sat cross legged. Her fingers skimmed the underside of your thigh and with a sigh she shook her head as Rick came into view. "How is she?" He asked kneeling beside you he lit an oil lamp that was much too bright for the headache you didn't realize you had until now. Maggie shook her head but didn't say a word simply holding pressure to your leg as looked over other parts of your bruised body. "Rick..." You tried to talk but he shushed you placing a cool wet cloth across your forehead and his knees under your head. "Just rest..." He whispered softly, his fingers rubbing circles into your temples and easing the migraine. Although he looked around, the question was never asked of where Phoenix was and it killed you. Carl and Hershel were by your side before you knew it, Merle and Daryl not far behind. Like the blink of an eye and you had to wonder if you passed out or if they really were just fast. You couldn't hold back your emotions anymore at the sight of your husband. He looked like he was holding on by a thread. "Good evening [Y/N]." Hershel muttered, squeezing your free hand softly, letting Daryl take it from him as your husband took his place beside Rick. "How is she?" Hershel asked Maggie as he slowly knelt to the ground beside you. God that question was really starting to get old... Maggie shook her head once more. "She's got a lot of superficial cuts and nicks. But she was shot in the leg... it's still bleeding and didn't go the whole way through." She said confidently. "Holy... who the fuck shot ya?" Merle growled. You couldn't see him from over everyone else's head's but from the sound of it, he was pacing in frustration. A Dixon trait. "I-I don't know." You said softly finally letting the tears fall and sobs let loose. Covering your face with your arm you let yourself sob openly. "[Y/N]. You need to calm down." Maggie instructed pressing down on your leg harder to stop the flow of new blood. You could feel Daryl squeezing your hand and leaving soft wet kisses as his own tears met the back of your hand with fears that went unsaid. "Daryl I-I'm so sorry." You managed to whisper, pulling back your arm to meet his blue eyes. You felt your husband tense in your grasp but kept speaking. You had to let him know... "He took her. He took her before I could do anything-" Rick shuffled beneath you and you watched as he and Daryl shared a look. "He? What do ya mean he? The Governor?" Merle asked in rapid fire succession. You softly shook your head. "No... I- I don't know. He came at us from behind. Says he's in a group but I didn't get a name from him... I don't think their big. And I don't think they know about the prison." You said looking up at Rick. "He wanted to know about what we had. What weaponry... food... people." Meeting Daryl's worried eyes you continued. "He never hurt Phoenix. Not that I could see... He's using her as a bargaining chip. He wants six guns, I told him we only had eight. So he said we can keep two. He wants to... trade for her at the same spot he held her and I today." Daryl seemed to relax only slightly, taking a deep breath he leaned close to you, kissing your forehead gently and caressing your cheek softly. "Ya did good, Sunshine. Ya got home. Now let me take care of bringin' our baby home." His breath was but a whisper on your skin but it felt so soft and comforting all the same.
Hershel sighed pulling his kit closer to himself. "Do you think it hit bone?" He asked seriously. "Maybe." Maggie hummed moving her body up to take your hand down. "Ok. [Y/N]. I'm not gonna lie... this is gonna hurt like the dickens." Hershel muttered, lifting a pair of long and thin clamps. Handing a piece of leather to Maggie he sighed. "Put it in her mouth so she doesn't break her teeth." He murmured, pulling out a small metal dish to put the pieces of the bullet into. You had thought childbirth was bad. It was. But maybe only marginally worse than this. Hershel poured alcohol into the bullet wound to clean it out, fishing little bits of debris he found with the extra long clamps. You had thought when it all began that there would be a few pieces of bullet shrapnel in your leg. But now you understood that there was dirt, wood, and grass from your hike as well as the shrapnel. Worst of all the shrapnel refused to simply be pulled away from your wound, being melded with you either in your bone and having to be picked out one by one, or was so deep that Hershel nicked nerve every time he moved. You screamed and begged for a break, tears streaming down your face but he couldn't stop and risk loosing a piece in you, risk giving you lead poisoning, a lethal infection, or allow the metals in the bullet to seep in and give you cancer over time. As the moon rose to its position to it's peak in the sky, Hershel pulled the last piece of metal, holding it high in the air. "Ah... there it is." He said loudly to the relief of your family who had gathered. Maggie wiped the sweat that gathered on your brow. Rick, Daryl, and Merle had long since left your side. They hadn't strayed far. Just a few feet away to talk in peace about what you could only assume was the fate of Phoenix. Rick was looking forlornly at you as Carl, Glenn and Maggie all did their best to hoist you to your feet without making you sick.
Wrapping an arm around Glenn's shoulder's you pointed to your husband's direction. "I need ta talk to them before we go in." You muttered. Slowly the two of you made your way over to the group of men. Daryl was the first to turn to you both taking you from Glenn's arms into his own he hoisted you princess style despite your protests that you could in fact stand. "Bull shit... shouldn't be walkin' on that leg." He muttered laying a kiss on your temple. "[Y/N]." Rick said softly stepping forward. "We need ta know where ya were at when he attacked you... and where he took ya." You nodded and pointed in the direction of the elderberry grove you had been foraging earlier. "He attacked me over next to the creek in the elderberries." You stated watching as Rick grow serious and cock a brow. 'That's impossible... whoever was on guard duty should have seen you." He huffed, crossing his arms across his chest defensively. Staring back you shrugged. "Rick... I'm just telling you what happened. I don't know who all was on duty today but they didn't see us. So maybe that's a blind spot we didn't know existed until now or-" Rick shook his head glaring at no one in particular. "It's not a blind spot I can see that area on duty all the time..." You tilted your head, repositioning your hold on your husband's shoulders. "So what are you saying Rick?" You asked not trying to piss off the ex-cop further than you had to. Rick shrugged shaking his head, that wild faraway look coming back into his eyes. That one that just screamed that he wasn't all there. "I-I don't know... maybe someone in here is planning something with someone... out there." He hissed pointing exaggeratedly to the D Block then to the Elderberry bushes. Daryl shuffled you in his arms a worried look falling on his face as he looked between you and Merle who simply seemed far too understanding for the situation. "We ain't sain' that ain't a possibility... but [Y/N] said-" Daryl tried to explain once more. But Rick had shut down. It was clear in his eyes. "Hey! What we all need is rest... In the mornin' [Y/N] can lead us back to where ever we need ta be with six guns and a hell of a lot more with a group of us hidden in the bushes. Shit goes south we blow 'em away." Merle suggested. Rick sighed running a hand through his hair. "Yeah... lets just sleep on it and talk in the morning."
Daryl carried you slowly up the hill to the prison. The lamp and medical supplies were all cleaned by Maggie, Hershel, and Glenn. You made a mental note to thank them in the morning after you got Phoenix back. Merle walked side by side with Daryl. His gaze was firmly on your wounded form, scanning you for anything the doctor and his daughter could have missed. "Ya know this doesn't excuse you from makin' Daryl, Nix and I hotcakes right?" He teased smirking at you. The rumble in Daryl's chest was contagious as you both laughed, pressing your face into his neck. "Damn, Merle... you're right... if we make a pit stop on the way home tomorrow from picking Phoenix up, I'll even make elderberry hotcakes. How's that sound?" Merle smiled so contently and you couldn't blame him. Even though you knew this conversation was all a joke... that you didn't really have all the ingredients for your famous hotcakes... it was nice to pretend for a moment that in the midst of hell there was a moment of normalcy. "I think we can make that happen, little sister." Merle hummed reaching over with his good hand to squeeze your shoulder lightly.
The three of you stopped outside of the door to the prison, Daryl leaned against the concrete walls having placed you down, for the moment to smoke a cigarette before going in. He placed you gently in between his legs as he leaned against the brick wall of the prison, letting you lean your body against his own. You almost felt like you were highschoolers again... almost. Daryl combed through your hair with his free hand glancing down at your injured leg once in a while to make sure you were keeping it propped or up as he instructed. The smell of his cigarette wafted in the wind as he took a shaky breath listening to the first birds of early dawn sing their songs. Merle however. Merle paced back and forth out of sight of the metal door. He looked agitated and anxious. "Daryl I'm telling you..." He muttered, his voice a mere whisper. "I think Rick is to blame for this." You shifted uncomfortably against your husband's chest, not really appreciating the outfield accusation. But you had your suspicions too. Daryl however... Daryl was silent. The hand that was combing through your hair moved to wrap protectively around your waist, pulling you tight to his chest. There was a tenseness you could feel in his actions. He trusted Rick and was still loyal to him. And you knew he didn't want to risk that trust and loyalty for anything... but that was his little girl out there... not Judith or Carl. Not that it would have changed things if it were... for Daryl. As if on instinct Daryl caressed your tummy with his thumb missing the baby that was once there. You felt him shift nervously behind you pulling your body with him so that you didn't fall. "Dunno..." Daryl muttered finally taking an extra long drag of his cigarette. "Think it's horse shit that we aint out there right now lookin' fer her though." Daryl growled. Merle sighed running his hand through his thinning hair. "Nix can kick some ass if she needs... she's strong like her daddy and momma. She can make it through the night." He muttered holding his prosthetic out in the moonlight. "And if there's a single scratch on that girl I swear none of them men will have any balls left to show for it..." Nodding you glared hatefully at the elderberry bushes as if they had done you wrong themselves. "I think we should ride out once light breaks and try to get a leg up on the situation..." You muttered. You could feel the low rumble in Daryl's chest as he hummed lovingly squeezing you before laying a sweet kiss to the top of your head then your lips. "Nah... You're gonna stay here, sunshine. Get yer rest. We'll need ya later in the day." The taste of his his cigarette permeated the kiss. But you didn't mind... you never did. "That bein' said..." He muttered, flicking his cigarette off to the side before hoisting you into his arms once more. "Lets get you to bed."
Daryl had been kind enough to carry you to the shower room to help clean you up and with a little assistance he helped you take a shower, being sure to keep your new sutures and gunshot wound as dry as he physically could as the two of you bathed together. As weird as it was... it was oddly romantic standing in the prison shower stall alone together with Daryl. The full moonlight cascading on both of your wet bodies detailing every detail of each of you. Even in the darkness of the night you could clearly see the shampoo suds sliding from the top of Daryl's crown, down his toned body as he rinsed his head under the water, letting you hold the button down to release more hot water for him. He softly massaged your back with one of the many clean washcloths and helped to clean your body of any dry blood that Maggie may have missed, being extra delicate when touching upon one of your wounds. "Damn, baby." His whispered voice echoed through the large bathroom. "Bastard really clocked you good." Daryl hummed softly, worry dripping into every word as he massaged shampoo into your own hair, being extra gentle with the newly formed knot that he found that made you hiss and pull away. His worried blue eyes followed you as you leaned back to rinse your hair in the stream of water. "It'll heal." You muttered softly closing your eyes to keep the suds from falling into your eyes. The feeling of his fingers intertwining with your hair relaxed you under the stream of the water. The scratching of his nails on your scalp was welcome and inviting on a day like today. "Tell me if I hurt ya." He muttered. He was always so sweet and soft with you. Sitting up when your hair ran clear you wrapped your arms around Daryl's neck and shoulders kissing him fully, lovingly, completely. Pulling you into his lap Daryl deepened the kiss. Sliding your uninjured leg across his body you straddled his hips getting comfortable with him between your legs. Kissing down the length of your neck Daryl left sweet possessive hickies, his hands traveling from your waist to your back before landing on your chest. You don't know if it was because another man had laid hands on you, if it was a distraction from the fact Phoenix was still out there, or if it was because you were hurt. But Daryl had never been more gentle with you in your relationship when it came to sex before. Bouncing you gently he insisted that you allow him to do most of the work, his breathing hitched as you clenched around him when he found your most sensitive parts. Holding you close to his chest he let your foreheads rest against one another's as you rocked against him, your nails digging into his shoulders as your moans echoed across the bathroom walls. Even as your emotions overflowed and tears fell during, Daryl wiped them away with calloused thumbs, taking the time to insure that you were ok before he continued, kissing your shoulders, your neck, your cheek just to let you know how loved you were and that everything would be ok. His fingers ghosted across your skin feeling the goose pimples that rose there, letting you scratch his biceps as you reached your climax, watching as your head lulled and fell into his shoulder to hide your screams of pleasure only allowing himself to finish inside you once he was certain you had finished yours.
You had thought after having the day you just had, having to take two showers and having mind blowing sex you would have fallen to sleep immediately. But that was the farthest from the truth. That night was the longest of your life. Neither of you slept a single wink. Instead when Daryl laid you down in your shared loft bed, fully clothed and mostly dried you two simply stared at the window. Holding each other as tight as the other could stand you both angled yourselves to watch the sunrise literally counting the minutes until you both could run out in search of your daughter. Daryl's finger's skated along your back and through your hair as yours traveled the length of his chest and abs. "Do you remember when we took Phoenix to the pool for the first time?" Daryl suddenly asked. Looking up into his eyes you noticed they looked far away and distant. You nodded smiling as you allowed yourself to lay your head on your husband's chest. "Yeah. She was so perplexed by her little swimsuit and swimming diaper." You giggled thinking about how when Merle held her for the picture she peed all over him. "Yeah... we put her little feet in the pool and she screamed so loud I thought for sure the chemicals had burned her." Daryl chuckled his hand now combing through your wet hair. "She was always a little drama llama." You giggled kissing Daryl's chest. "Yeah... but once we put her in her Minnie Mouse floaties she took off and no one could catch her... she lived in the water." Daryl laughed, physically having to cover his mouth to stifle the laugh and keep from waking the others. You nodded feeling a sick unidentifiable dread fill your chest as you wrapped your arms around him. Tears slipped down your cheeks and although you tried your damnedest to keep it down a sob escaped your lips. "Yeah... she always loved to swim." You hiccupped through the sobs. Daryl was silent, but the way his body shook you could tell he was crying too. "We'll make a pool here... so she can swim here one day..." Daryl huffed out through a strangled sob and you couldn't help but curl tighter into his chest, burying your face in his shirt. Bawling harder than you can remember you grasped at his shirt gasping his shirt you tried to keep silent, and for the most part you were successful. Even when Daryl urged you to cry openly, to fuck them all and their sleep. But it was your sleep that won over in the end after all of your emotions drained you dry.
The sun was high in the sky when you woke and instantly you wanted to throw up with fear and anxiety. Jolting out of bed you cried out in pain, nearly falling down the stairs, catching yourself on the rail with a clash. "[Y/N]?!" Carol cried out rushing up the stairs to help you down. Tears rolled down your cheeks as sobs ripped through you. "Where's Daryl? Did they-" You tried asking but Carol cut you off pulling you into a tight hug once she got you down the stairs. "He's outside. They didn't leave yet... He just wanted you to get your rest before you all went out later." You nodded resting back against the wall. "I know you may not feel hungry... but you should eat." Carol muttered sliding a bowl of oatmeal in your direction. To be honest just looking at the food made you feel sick. But as you picked up the spoon with a shaky hand and took a bite you suddenly realized just how hungry you were. Pulling the plastic bowl closer you took large bites. "Thank you. I didn't realize I was hungry." You muttered once you had finished the entire bowl. Carol nodded smiling somberly. "I... felt similarly when Soph was missing." She confided leave it at that you didn't dare pry or let yourself dwell of any possibilities too much. The sliding of the metal door drew your attention away from dark and depressing as Daryl and Merle stepped in. "Good. Sleeping beauty is awake." Merle teased winking at you. Daryl rolled his eyes and sighed walking over to lift you into his arms. "Ya ready, sunshine?" he asked. With an uncertain nod he carried you outside. Daryl sat you in the passenger seat of the car as everyone grouped up to chat. "So are you sure he said to meet for this time?" Hershel asked you, pointing to the sky you had indicated when telling them earlier. The question merely made you doubt yourself and the placement the sun was in the sky when you were attacked. But you nodded and pointed to where it was based on what you could see before you passed out. "Alright..." Rick muttered running his hands through his hair. "We got an hour before we gotta be there... [Y/N] said she marked the trail. We look for the marks on the side of the road and go from there." Rick muttered watching Glenn and Carl pack the six "guns" into the car for transfer. "Daryl you ride with [Y/N], Merle, and Glenn to the trade site. Carl, Hershel, Carol, Maggie, and I will be in another car parked on the road we'll watch you all enter the trade site and make sure there are no unwanted followers. Maggie and Carol will follow first to set up. I will be close behind Hershel and Carl will stay in the car as back up in case we need them... Make sense?" He asked looking between everyone making eye contact before nodding sternly. "Alright... lets get Phoenix back.
The ride to the place you were held was absolute hell. Merle would not leave Glenn alone. Glenn would not stop fanning the flames and making Merle want to tease and pick more. Every time you yelled at either one of them you felt like the bad guy. You felt like the mom to two rowdy teens on a long road trip... except you couldn't threaten to turn this car around. No this road trip was too important. As you pulled up to the first of your visible markings you pointed it out to Daryl then reached out the window with your indicator flag you all made out of a florescent orange hunting vest and waved it once to indicate this was the spot. Daryl pulled to the side of the road. The trail was too small for the car to go down, Loading up with as many guns as they each could hold you lead them down the makeshift trail you created. It was so much shorter than you remembered, but the blood from the day before still laid in the field, unchanged and unmoved. Standing at one end of the field you began to feel antsy as you watched the sky. Ten minutes... glancing around you didn't see anything. Not a person scouting the area before hand. Not an animal peeking through the brush. The silence was palpable. Taking Daryls hand in your own you kept your wits about you. You didn't want to seem too vulnerable with Phoenix's captors... but you neither of you could do this alone. Looking up at the sky they were now officially late. You stood stock still. Listening for any sign of movement. Had you gotten the place wrong? The time? Anxiety washed over you as the silence continued to prevail only interupted by the small snapping of twigs as Rick settled in his place nearby. There were now twenty minutes late... despite Glenn's constant pleas to stay optimistic. "Maybe they hit traffic... or they had an emergency." You never felt more nervous and sick in your life. The bickering between Merle and Glenn slowly but surely started once more and the tenseness that your husband held in his body the night before slowly returned. Twenty minutes turned to thirty which turned to fifty as Carl came out to find his dad. You had gone to the corner of the field and vomited twice in this time and were just starting to begin to give up hope when an hour and a half rolled around. "Maybe... we should come up with a plan B..." Rick's voice tore through the silence and through your emotions. Taking what felt like the first breath since you arrived you began to hyperventilate shaking your head. "N-No..." you whispered running your hands through your hair. You had seen enough 48 hours before to know you didn't have time to come up with another plan... This was your plan...
Just as you felt you might melt into oblivion a sudden loud crash through the brush caught everyone's attention. Within a second everyone had their weapon's drawn and pointed at the noise. The brush on the side where the man was to bring Phoenix shook and swayed. "Come out slowly and we won't shoot!" Rick ordered cocking his pistol. The bush suddenly stopped shaking and a small whimper came from within it. "Wait. I'm stuck Uncle Rick." You thought for a moment, you were going to pass out. Lowering your gun you holstered it limping forward. "Phoenix?!" You cried out desperately. "I'm here momma!" She cried stumbling out of the briars with a little whimper. To your horror and awe, Phoenix was covered in blood. Standing midway in the field you stared at your little girl. Her body painted in blood. Slowly she looked up at you, her blue eyes meeting yours as a twisted grin reached her face. "I used the knife daddy gave me." She said proudly holding out the small pocket knife Daryl had given her to use in dire emergencies. "I used it just like Aunt Carol taught me and I remembered how to get here... I was hoping you'd still be here!" She squealed happily running up to you. The horrific realization that, your daughter had most likely killed men and faced the undead hit you like a brick in the stomach. But as you knelt down in the dry puddle of your own blood swiping away any of the blood that was still damp looking for wounds, scratches and bites. "Did you make sure they wouldn't come back?" You asked seriously, hiding your shaking hands behind her back as you pulled her close to you, holding her close catching Daryl out of the corner of your eye as he moved to kneel beside you both. Your husband's own face was ashen pale as if he himself had seen a ghost. "I did. I stuck them in the head just like aunt Carol said to." Phoenix said handing her little knife over to Daryl to close before hugging him tightly. "Aren't ya proud of me daddy?" She asked excitedly. You watched as Daryl's face morphed from disbelief to stunned shock, rageful hate filled anger at the world for making his little girl experience this, before it landed on acceptance... at least for now. "O-Of course I am baby girl... so, so proud of you. But, I don't want ya to have do this again unless-" She nodded pulling away with a smile. "It's an emergency. I know." She said. "Can we go home now? I feel sticky."
It had been two days since the incident... Daryl refused to go out on runs certain his family wasn't safe unless he was there despite Merle's promise's to keep you and Phoenix safe. You currently sat outside in the courtyard with Carl, Judith, Phoenix and Merle listening to Daryl and Rick's fight. "My daughter had to learn how to put people down damn it!" Your husband screamed. You could hear both Carol and Rick muttering something to him but... Daryl wanted to hear none of it. "I don't give a shit that you were trainin' them Carol!" He bellowed pulling Merle's attention. "Ain't never seen him so pissed." Merle sighed tinkering with his blade. "I did..." You replied, glancing at your brother-in-law. "The day we lost you. He nearly killed Rick then." Merle blinked seeming to think on this as if it were the first time he ever imagined that possibility. "What we should be focusing on is that whoever was on watch didn't see the whole fucking attack that happened just over the god damned gate!" You heard something metal clang against the concrete floor, only assuming that Daryl had resorted to pitching things or clearing the tables with a single swipe. "Sounds like he's about ready to do it again..." Merle joked, swiping a stray piece of hair from your daughter's face. You sighed looking longingly at Phoenix. "We were lucky... I think Daryl realizes that. But the chances of us being lucky again. They're slim Merle." You hummed meeting his gaze. He nodded meeting your gaze from the corner of his eyes. "I know." There was another loud crash that made all of you jump an Judith to cry out. Carl was quick to pick her up and start soothing her. He was best at it, and despite the shit he gave you all, he still was a kid at heart. "Damn it Daryl!" Rick finally yelled back. "I get you're pissed! I do! But throwin' shit around ain't gonna fix the problem!" With a sigh you slowly stood. "I better go stop Daryl before he really looses it." You sigh.
You could hear the fight more clearly as you painfully climbed the hill to the prison block. "Ya can't know there's not more out there Rick! I want to be sure there's no one out there right now lookin' for us." Daryl hissed. Rick sighed nodding. "We can look while we're out on runs but we need you for that Daryl." Your husband shook his head, pacing back and forth. "Nah... not til I know who was on watch when they went missin'. I want to know they can't go on watch no more." Rick shuffled his feet and shook his head. "Look we need all the help we can get..." Daryl seemed to only get more aggravated at that growling before flipping a metal chair... or another chair... you found the reason of the last major crash. Looks like the first chair went through some old wooden creates the prison had. "Bull shit!" Daryl growled pointing at Rick. "Tell me it wasn't you then... you said there's no blind spots there so tell me why it wouldn't be you." He accused walking over to where Rick stood. You watched in horror as Daryl got in Rick's face just like he was in high school itching for a fight. "Guys!" You screamed limping over to the two, catching their attention just before they threw fists. "That's enough!" Daryl huffed backing off but not down. "Well?" He hissed. Rick seemed to be juggling his words carefully before he nodded. "I-I was on duty when it happened..." He admitted. "But I don't remember it at all." You sighed frowning deeply. It was as you feared. "Rick... could you have been on the other side of the prison?" Rick shook his head as Daryl paced back and forth running his hands through his hair a new wave of axiety rushing through him. "So anything could have gotten through or been peeking in while you had an episode?" He growled. Rick sighed obviously frustrated with the way the question was worded so you rephrased it. "So you just go blank for a little while... or is it like something else?" You asked seriously. Rick relaxed a bit. "It's not as bad as when I was... seeing her all the time... I still do... but it's different. I-It's hard to explain." You nodded looking to Daryl. "Maybe we should delegate the patrol duty for a little while... train the newbies? And you can... take a break." You suggested. Hershel nodded, picking up one of the chairs Daryl threw. "You'll still be head just... with less to do." He murmured. Rick sighed. "I always wanted to farm..."
A few hours passed by. You couldn't seem to keep your eyes off of Phoenix. It was still so miraculous to you that she made it back to you at all. That she defied all odds and made it home. You wondered what fresh hell she went through then decided that maybe it was better if you didn't know for now... she would tell you in her own time. Daryl was laying beside her in the bed. You both watched her little sleeping form as if she were the newborn you both brought home from the hospital again. You rubbed sweet circles into her back before curling tight against the two of them. "Our baby is home Daryl." You whispered kissing his lips sweetly. Daryl nodded kissing your forehead. "Went through hell an' back again... but the little demon looks like she thrived there... she looks stronger for it. That normal?" You giggled softly and shrugged. "Dunno... I think so nowadays... Look at Carl." You teased loving the chuckle that tore from your husband's throat. "Yeah I suppose so..." He muttered, pulling you down for another kiss. "I love ya, sunshine. Get some rest."

The school house far in town the Town was a couple of miles away When she started Kindergarten she met The Kiszka Twins Jacob and Joshua.
They clicked just like that couldn't get them away from each other... Allison would always walk home from school her mother didn't sign her up for the Bus that year so she Walked to her house at Five years old Her mother was what the Locals called a Recluse Her mother would never leave her house. The Mother would make her Five-year-old go get the Mail from the road and She walked to the schoolhouse and back every day. After school one day Karen Kiszka drove to pick up the Twins Allison would sit and Talk to Jake and Josh until Their mom picked Them up then she would start walking home Karen pulled up in her Black Suburban rolling down the passenger window Josh hugged Allison quickly and Ran off to the car opening the Back Car door He turned back around " Bye Bye Allie!!" He waved giving Allison a Cheeky grin. Allison waved smiling bigger " Bye Bye Joshy Bye Jakey!!" Jake turned and waved his little hand at her smiling Karen's Heart fluttered How Cute She thought She pushed her sunglasses up pushing them over her hair " Hey, honey? Are you okay?? Where's your momma?" She looked at her from the driver's seat No other children were waiting on their parents " She don't come!" Allison said Grinning at Karen "Bye-bye!" Allison said waving bye to Karen She began walking down the sidewalk.
Karen frowned "Does she do that every day?" The Twins nodded at Their Mom through the Rear-view mirror Karen parked opened her door and started walking toward Allison " Hey... Honey!" Karen got closer Towards the Little Brunette girl " Hello.." Allison turned fiddling with her skirt hem " Where do you live Sweetheart?" Karen squatted down almost to Allison's height " Hugo Street.. On dirt road with my momma... I have to go home.!" Allison said She didn't make eye contact with Karen at all Normally Children can't Not make eye contact with an adult " Can I drive you Home Hon? I don't want you walking all alone It's not safe." Allison just nodded "Okay, Hon come on now.." Allison Shot her arms out grabbing for Karen with grippy hands Karen picks her up and begins walking back to her car
Karen looked Allison over Noticing a bruise on her wrist and upper arm Her heart fell into her stomach but she Brushed it off Five-year-olds bruise easily The Twins have come home with bruises and scratches from the playground Maybe She fell on it during recess or Her friend was dragging her over to play When Karen and Allison made it to the Car Josh Was Practically dancing in his Car seat " Is Allie coming home with us!! Karen was blown away " Um No ma'am I was just bringing your daughter home.. It's not Safe for a Five-year-old to be walking home... She's Best friends With my Twin boys." Karen laughed lightheartedly hoping she was joking " Oh, she's fine.. a Little walking won't hurt her." Her laugh Gurgles
" Well.. I'll see you later Allison!" Karen sat her down on the porch Allison wrapped her arms around Karen's leg " Thank you!!" Allison then ran off into the House Allison's Mother glared up at Karen "Don't you ever Come on my Porch again." She murmured " Excuse me?" Karen asked, " Oh you heard me get your ass off my porch and don't talk to my daughter again." She then slammed the Door locking it leaving Karen in a State of shock She walked back to the Suburban Getting back in Just as she thought Her children had been watching the whole show " She didn't seem that nice momma," Josh said in the Back seat "I know.." She pulled off out of the driveway and started driving home She thought to herself and then spoke out loud " Guys... Does Allison ever have any Marks on her like Bad marks? Bruises?" They just shrugged and continued to eat their snacks Karen dropped it driving back to the Kiszka house

He didn't know why he felt the way he did.. Brushing it off as the Rest of the Musical went on He thought of everything he should say or what he shouldn't say. Everyone had seen how Jake's amazed Smile dropped into a neutral expression when The Two Kissed When they Did their Curtain call Coming out together Bowing one at a Time the whole cast and Ensemble pointed to the booth The wings and the audience then grabbed each other's hands and bowed the Curtains closed There was a Moment of silence until they all came out through the Side doors still in Costume Josh and Allison walked up to The Kiszkas " That was some Kiss Joshua!" His Dad teased Making both Josh and Allison blush " It wasn't how we practiced it Probably going to get chewed out about it later.." He Looked down at Allison " It was supposed to be Fake.."
Allison Met eyes With Jake who was Quiet He hadn't spoken a Word to them Not a Congratulations or anything It was then He Decided that Allison had never been his Friend. She was Josh's Friend. He then thought about how he's never had anything of his own, No friends to himself. Josh would always swoop in and make them his own " What'd you think Jakey?" Allison asked He shrugged " It was alright.."
The Kiszkas Dropped Allison off At her house later on that night after they went out and Ate like they did after Each night of the Musical Allison walked up the Path to her porch She looked up at the house It was a one-story house with peeling white paint and a normally blue door The porch had shit all over it Her mother was an Advid procrastinator and Never left the house. The grass and weeds grew to waist height over time causing the house to look run down Ivy Ran up the walls, and a Four door red Sedan parked outside of the house was the only way people knew someone lived there.
Allison walked up the stairs and opened the screen door The house was silent and still... Not a Light on in the house... The feeling of the home was cold and dark She shivered pulling her arms up and crossing them to keep warm.. she stepped forward causing the floorboards to creek
She mentally berated herself when she heard the grumble of a throat clear somehow sounding sassy if that was even possible Alice turned towards the kitchen seeing Her mother leaning against the Counter A cigarette was lit and wrapped tightly in her mother's small lips Her mother puffed the smoke out and tapped it into the ashtray taking the ashes off the tip.
"Do you know what damn time it is Allison?" She grunted " Yes ma'am I'm sorry I was with Josh-" "Always with that Josh boy... He's not good for you Baby. He Don't like you.." Her mother said bluntly her eyes searching her daughter's face She then laughed curtly "I-" "He's only after one damn thing Girl. and you know it!" She had cut her off Before she had time to defend herself Her Mother puffed on her cigarette once again "I don't want you hanging around those Kiszka boys again. They ain't nothin' but trouble." She pointed at Alice sternly her lips pursing in a sourly angry expression " I mean I'm doing the best I can from you getting hurt Baby... But you don't listen to me.. do you? Because I know tomorrow you're gonna go to them stupid Clubs and See them boys again!" She stomped forward Coming closer and getting into Alice's face " If I find out or see you talking to them boys again...You will be quitting all those Clubs immediately. You will just go to school and come straight back home ya hear?" She threatens Alice Bit at her gums to stop the sounds of her harsh breathing and sobs "I provide a Roof over your head, Food, Shit even the clothes on your back! nd You hardly ever respect me! I mean look at what time it is Hon? Am I that bad of a Mother?" The Last words stung Alice She loved her mother with her whole heart Lord she couldn't stop loving her mother even after everything that's happened with her "No momma You're a Great Mom I'm sorry I Was at school I-" "Don't you fuckin cry, Allison. Them tears don't mean shit I'm done with you and all of your Bullshit excuses. You've lost my Trust and My Respect." Her mother's words cut into her gut like a Steak knife It was like Her mother's Fat disgusting hand was wrapped around her heart Squeezing it hard, fiddling with it all she could. Alice's face morphed into a Soured Emotionless face Her tears slowly dried on her cheeks and chest the cold wet feeling of the teardrop on her chin " Like I ever had it to begin with." Alice bit back
A Sudden force made her face fly to the Right causing her to lose her footing and fall onto the tile floor touching her left cheek the skin panging Heat radiating off of it She had mistakenly bit down on her tongue when Her Mother Punched her a metallic flavor pouring into her mouth This wasn't the First time She had Hit her... Her mother's crazed red face and big rounded eyes stared down at Allison " Don't you ever. Ever Say that Shit again You brat! You stupid Stupid brat I've given you everything! Get the Fuck out of my sight!" The Yelling pierced Allison's ears
The Brunette scrambled up onto her feet rounding the corner into her room shutting the door and placing her back onto it sinking to the floor She silently screamed nothing coming out She crumpled up pulling her knees into her chest Her lips trembling She reached up and locked her door and got up touching her cheek again as she looked into her cracked vanity mirror The only reason it was cracked was because she found it outside an old house. Alice had repainted it and dismissed the skinny crack across the middle of the mirror Her eyes were bloodshot red and swollen her nose was as well and tiny streams of snot lay above her top lip She gasped each time she sobbed.. shaking.
Allison Picked up the Landline phone Dialing the only person she knew could help her " Karen..." She whispered when The Woman picked up "Please... She's... She's hit me again and I..." She got choked up "Okay th- Thank you." Allison began packing a bag full of things she needed She heard her mother's footsteps stomping down the Hall "Allison! Allison, I'm sorry Baby!" She began knocking at her door " Alice Honey.. Answer me, Baby Allie.." Allison Glared at the Wooden door as if she could see through it "Open the Door, Allison." Her voice morphed into something more serious more sinister The Knocking turned into a Fist slamming into the Wood " Allison! Open this Fucking door!"
Allison opened her Window and Jumped out running into the Trees to Hide in case Her mother Came outside " Allison!" She screamed " Allison!!" The sound of the Door being broken open cracked through her ears Allison then saw Headlights pull into the Mouth of Her driveway Allison made a run for it Running towards the Black Suburban and getting into the Passenger seat Karen sat there in her Pajamas She then Pulled off and started driving back toward the Kiszka House "How did she hit you..? what happened honey..?"Karen kept her eyes on the road But Went and tried to hold Allison's Hand Allison pulled back and Shriveled up into her Seat "Ssshha-" She couldn't talk because of the amount of Shaking and Sobbing " She.." She shivered" She.. She said That I lost her T-Trust and.. And" She choked out "It's okay Honey you can tell me again Later just Calm down honey Just relax okay?"
Karen parked the car turned it off and Grabbed Allison's bags running inside It was about 2 AM It was Now Saturday She had gotten the Call in the Middle of Their Movie night The Siblings sat on the Couch watching the TV Kelly stood up walking over to his wife "Where is she?" Karen sat down Allison's bags "She's in the Car. Her mother Punched her in the Face Kelly.." He sighed placing his hands on his waist " What are we supposed to do? Should we call social services I don't know what to do-" Karen's eyes widened "No. She is going to stay here as long as she pleases Kelly." She said
Allison walked into the Living room Causing the Kiszka Siblings to look at her Allison's face was stained with tears making Josh get up and Run over to her to comfort her "What happened dovey." He went to pull her into a Hug but she pulled away shaking her head Karen Looked at Her Sons and Ronnie " Allison is going to be Staying here for a While, She can't stay at her own house... So I want everyone to be nice okay?"
That night Karen made a Palette in Jake and Josh's room Which Consisted of two Twin beds on each side of the room, The room seemed to almost be cut in half by their different styles and decor Karen made sure to look at Allison's face before bringing her into the Twins' room Jake was sitting up on his Bed reading Josh had already Passed out sprawled out on his twin-sized mattress Karen smiled at the brunette feeling sorry that a fourteen-year-old had to go through this if only she had seen it sooner...
Allison laid down on the Palette covering up with the old Rocketship blanket Karen cut off the overhead light leaving Jake's lamp the only light on in the Room and closed the door Allison sat there in silence tossing and turning "Jake.." she whispered He looked up from his book "Allie..?" "Can.. Can I come up there with you..?" She asked weary of the answer Jake had been distant and short with her Today so she was worried he was also mad at her She felt like the whole world hated her except the House of Kiszkas Jake sat there in thought But Sighed Heavily " If you kick me I will throw you through the wall." He said sliding over a little Allison stood up and walked over sliding underneath the Comforter that he had thrown back He wore basketball shorts and a Loose White teeshirt his hair was short and side-swept across his forehead.
Jake covered her up making sure she had enough pillow and space He flinched all of a Sudden causing Allison to giggle into the Comforter "Your feet are ice cold dear god??" He shivered They faced each other sharing the Pillows Squeezed into the Bed " That's why I touched your legs You D-A you're always Warm." she moved one of her legs in between his knees Jake Stiffened at this pulling his legs apart to not touch her leg But then relaxed completely after not wanting to hold them up anymore " Reach over and cut that light off would you?" He pointed She leaned over and cut it off and then got back into her space Closing her eyes and Relaxing into the mattress "Allie..?" Jake whispered she opened her eyes again looking into his His eyes always seemed to be down turned slightly Whenever Karen had showed her The Little Kiszkas Baby photos Allison could always Tell Jake and Josh apart when they had Buzz cuts when they were infants Josh's eyes had a certain Spark about them They were always upturned just a Little from Jake's eyes his eyes weren't as deep looking as Jake's eyes Jake's eyes had a Deep darker definition to them dark blemished circles underneath them as Allison looked into them they seemed Full of worry and tiredness
"yes Jakey?" she whispered turning her face more He sighed "When.. god I'm sorry.." He rubbed his face "I sound stupid already I'm sorry.." She giggled " No, No it's okay Jakey what's on your mind?"
He looked at her again after he was done rubbing his eyes His eyes trailed down her face Her eyes were downturned and a light brown color sometimes they looked grey Her cheeks were chunky round and pinkish she had little flakes of freckles strewn around her face Her nose wasn't big but wasn't small either it was long downturned and had an arch in the middle she had a Pimple on her chin that had scabbed over she had probably popped it the day before Her eye had begun to swell up and the Bruise had begun to form a little bandage laid across the slit on her upper cheekbone
"When you kissed Josh.. Did you like it..?" he asked her eyes widened a little her chunky eyebrows furrowed "Um.. well.. No." She closed her eyes and Continued "Not really I was caught off guard he wasn't supposed to kiss me... I didn't like it because He technically stole my you know.." Jake's eyebrows flared as if telling her with his mind What? "My first kiss.." she answered bashfully losing eye contact with him "Really?? You've never kissed anyone before??" Jake asked "Nope.." she said " and I liked it that way because I don't know if this is.. stupid but.. I was hoping I would've been able to save it for someone who cared about me you know like in those Romance chick flicks.." she chuckled she now picked at her thumb biting at the skin she peeled " that's not completely stupid.. I mean I'm pretty sure every Teen girl thinks like that." He smirked She rolled her eyes " Oh shut up Jake you probably haven't kissed anyone either!" she hissed
Jake clicked his tongue " You may be right but that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop bullying you Allie" She smiled a little biting the skin off again " why haven't you kissed anyone..?" she trailed off biting another piece of skin off "Will you stop that!" Jake seethed pulling her hand away from her lips grabbing her wrist " Stop picking you're making me anxious." he let go of her wrist exhaling heavily " I just haven't... I mean it's not really anything serious.." He shrugged reclining his head back onto the pillow and rolling onto his back Allison still looked over at him Evaluating his side profile His nose was pointed it descended like a slope a slight bump in the middle of his bridge his lips were pouty His smile was always wide open His teeth on full display The Kiszka smile.
Jake's face had lost some face fat over the years but you could still see that childish look and the slight chubbiness in his cheeks " I heard that Charlotte likes you... Do you know that Girl in Crew? She's also in our English class." She gossiped Causing Jake to snort " Not interested." Allison gasped " And why not She's really pretty! and smart She needs to go out and Audition you know. She'd be cast in a Heartbeat." Jake shook his head "Have you ever even spoken to her?" Allison thought for a second " Um.." Jake looked over at her seeing her face blank out " Exactly-" "Listen! She helped me with my Costume once?" She interrupted him He rolled his eyes "She's probably a Mythic Bitch Allie... Not interested and Besides you said it Yourself I'd rather save it for someone who actually cares about me." Allie closed her mouth and sighed " you should at least try there are plenty of pretty girls at school jakey." He nodded " I know Allie, Goodnight." Turning over facing his back to her "goodnight Jake."
The next morning they were all woken up by Karen yelling for them to come get breakfast Jake woke up looking beside him seeing that Allison had moved in the middle of the night He sat up looking around seeing that she had crawled into Josh's bed He sighed lowly of course, she would she only came to him because Josh was asleep first Why would she want to spend time with Him Josh was her best friend, not him... He had decided She didn't talk to him how she talked to Josh He couldn't make her Laugh as loud as Josh made her laugh He couldn't even have a good conversation with her like Josh Josh would talk with her about music and Movies and all sorts of shit She never talked to Jake about that stuff Only when He initiated it It was Always Josh... Never Jake.
He hated her He hated her and her stupid laugh Her stupid Face and the way her eyes and nose would scrunch up when Josh made her laugh Her stupid Smile and Her stupid Voice He hated her
"Jake, are you coming?" Josh asked Jake looked up His brother stood in front of his bed near the Door " Yeah... Yeah, I'm comin'." He got up and walked into the Kitchen His dad sat at the end of the Table shoveling pancakes into his mouth Allison sat Beside Sammy Josh Took The Place Beside her on her Right Ronnie sat in front of her. Jake grabbed his plate and sat down beside his Sister and began to eat the pancakes and Bacon his mom had cooked "So how'd everyone sleep?" Karen asked Finally sitting down at the other end of the table a series of "Goods" and " Greats" flooded out of everyone's mouths She nodded " Allison.. I was thinking that we could go and get some more of your things today?... Only if you wanted to of course! You don't have to do anything you don't want to." Allison swallowed meeting Karen's eyes "Uhh Sure that'd be nice." She smiled
Jake grumbled and sunk lower into his chair "What's wrong Hon, Is your breakfast not good?" His mom asked Touching his hand "Yeah Mom.. I'm fine."
The doorbell rings Karen Wipes her hands " It's 8:30 Who on earth would that be." Karen got up and walked Toward the Front door Looking through the Peephole then unlocking and Opening it "Hello?" Two people stood in front of her One Woman held a Clipboard and the other one held another "Hi! Are you Karen Kiszka? We are with Child Protective Services can we come in?" The Older one chipped "Yep, that's me Come on in!" Karen smiled slightly She had nothing to be nervous about but a Sinking feeling flooded into the pit of her stomach The Kids at the Table turned towards the door
"We've had some Anonymous phone calls to come In and check in on Allison Misha Evans. She has Supposedly run away from home.." Karen rolled her eyes But Nodded " She didn't Run away.. She's eating Breakfast right now... Listen-" The Social Services worker walked towards The Table Spotting Allison
"Hey, honey... My Name is Quinn... I'm with Child protective services How are you feeling?" Allison's Face drained of Color " I- I'm fine.. Nice to meet you.." Quinn's face dropped seeing Allison's Swollen eye the Bruise had Worsened overnight " Oh my gosh- Who did that to you??" She gasped Allison's hand shot up covering it " She's here because Of Her mother," Karen said her arms crossed She stood by Her " Well... We are going to have to take her back home... No one in this house has custody of her... Since she's a Minor she's going to have to go back home-" Allison Burst into tears
" I- I Cant Go home please I can't!" Allison was Frantic " Please don't make me I can't go home, please! I'm begging you." Quinn wrote something down on her Clipboard " I'm sorry honey But it's The Law.. Unless Miss Kiszka Gets Custody of you.. You cannot stay here legally."
" Let's at least Talk about this somewhere else please-" Karen said They walked into the Living room Josh wrapped his arm around Allison's waist making her kinda lean on his shoulder with her own holding her in his arms.
Quinn walked back into the Kitchen with Karen on her tail after a while " Allison go on and Grab your Things Please.." Quinn sighed Josh took Allison back to the twins' Shared bedroom Allison grabbed her Backpack wiping away her face and pulling it onto her back She pulled Josh into a tight Hug sobbing into his shirt "I'm sorry Dovey... Momma will find out what to do okay?" She nodded She left after this.. Leaving an Unsettled feeling in the Kiszka home.
A month later it hit summer time the last week of their Freshman year Allison Came to school in a Big bulky sweatshirt and sweatpants She trudged over to her locker and unlocked it throwing her Bag inside Josh walked Up the hallway toward her Leaning on the locker Beside hers "Hey Dovey-Dove... Long time no see How's it goin'? I'm digging the hair when did ya cut it? It is very unique I guess" He giggled his smile never falling Her hand traveled up to her short mangled hair "A few weeks ago.." "I like it Dovey- Oh by the way are you gonna come to drama club? You haven't been to the past few meetings we are Electing today!" She sighed " Maybe I don't know... My mom wants me home straight after school.." She closes her locker and Walks away Josh follows closely " Why are you wearing a Sweatshirt it's almost 90 degrees outside?" He giggled She sighed " It's cold in my Classes Decided I wouldn't freeze today."
" Oh yeah, Science is always Bone Chilling." He said and then Mocked a Chill making Burr noises She didn't laugh not even a Slight smile His smile faded. " Dovey? Are you okay? You never answered." He asked Placing a hand on her Bicep causing her to Flinch and pull back " Jus don't feel like talking Josh... I gotta go I can't be late." She trudged off toward her First Period leaving Josh in the empty hallway " But- Okay.." He trailed off pushing his fists into his Shorts " You never cared about that before.." He mumbled to himself He then walked towards the theater room walking in and Threw himself on the Cyan Couch
The Class was loud too loud His friends were in the chairs all gossiping and catching up Shrills of laughter that would usually bug him slid in one ear and out the other The Seat next to him quickly filled " Hey Josh!" She chirped "Hey Charlotte.. I'm not really in the Mood today-" Charlotte was still Beaming " Guess what! Guess fricking What!! You were sooo wrong Joshy!!" He side eyed her " I'm never Wrong Charlotte." She giggled and Poked at His side " Oh yes you aree!! He asked me Out!! Can you believe it??!! God, I'm so excited!!" She poked his sides again "Who?" He laughed " Was it Ben.. I wouldn't be too excited about that troll-" She laughed at him " No! No.. Your Brother He asked me out this Morning Can you believe it? Ugh... He came by my Locker and Just asked me it was Insane like a Scene straight from a Movie!" She placed her hands on her chest looking up at the Ceiling " My brother? Um... Are you sure? I-" He cut himself off Chuckling "You're joking right?" He looked at her " Nope, It's 100 percent the Real deal!" She slapped his arm Josh flinched rolling his shoulder to get her hand off
" Wow... I can't believe that." He droned She got up straightening her Skirt " Well, I'll see you later at Drama Club!! It's the Last meeting you know, We get to Vote today for the Cabinet for Next year!! Vote me For Vice!!" She hands him a Cherry Flavored Tootsie pop He grabbed it and nodded shooing her away with his hand Thinking back to Allison and her hair He hadn't seen her in over Two weeks why did she chop it all off? It was so Beautiful before now she had a buzzcut he liked it he thought maybe she had a breakdown and just chopped it all off maybe she just wanted a change. "Josh! Cmere man, I need your opinion!"
Allison sat at her desk doodling in her notebook Her first period was English which She loved she loved reading and writing and her English teacher was Newer and Had just got out of college So Allison thought she had a Connection with Her they both got each other's jokes and she loved the Book recommendations Ms. James would give her She also loved the annotations Ms. James would leave on her Essays or Poems
Jake had this class with her. He sat in the back of the classroom, He usually slept during the first period or read the book they were assigned. He wasn't doing anything but sitting at his desk staring down the front door as if he was waiting for someone. Allison looked back down at her Doodle she leaned against her arm somehow this caused pain to shoot up towards the bruises on her covered arms. making her wince. She then heard another thing that made her wince. The Shriek made her ears want to close up and take shelter in her head. She looked up at the shrieker It was Charlotte the girl she talked about to Jake two weeks ago.
Allison furrowed her brows opening her mouth as Charlotte started walking up her isle. "Char-" She closed her mouth as Charlotte passed her quickly Allison turned watching Charlotte Plop into Jake's lap Charlotte's Arms Found themselves around Jake's neck . Allison studied Jake's Expression He wasn't smiling he was smirking like that sarcastic smile he'd always wear when he talked to Allison.
Jake's eyes Diverted from Charlotte to Allison Who stared at him from a Few seats away. Allison looked away immediately and went back to her notebook scribbling the doodle out she dug her pencil into the paper biting her lip harshly She didn't know why this hurt her so badly She should be happy for him.
Allison pushed her emotions down into her heart further into the hollowed coldness She couldn't take any more of the letdowns and the pain she felt.
everyone around her had an excuse to hurt her she thought.
Everyone wanted her gone and hated her. No one had checked up on her No one even saw What she had written all over her face No one would Help her. She could almost vomit all over her desk her stomach chewing through her flesh clawing its huge talons into her skin Her mother fed into these thoughts On the days when Allison thought she had been graced with happiness. She'd go home to her wretched mother to endure the mentally draining pain and the bruises that came with it. if she told anyone nothing would be done... Just like the last couple of times... She'd end up in a cold office or worse a Cold room with someone feeding her pills like candy because they knew it was all her fault what happens to her she was the issue not her mother. None of the Kiszkas had asked her where she had been these past two weeks and the truth is she had been institutionalized by her caseworker Quinn. when they had found her in the Bathroom behind a locked door.
Allison had stayed home from school that day Her mother hadn't noticed She had passed out on the couch. It was a Wednesday. Allison remembered it well She had planned her path the night before spending the entire day building up the bravery to do what she planned. It was almost lunchtime when She walked into Her bathroom closing the door slowly hearing it click into the latch Her reflection stared back at her Her eyes were sunken in and red from crying her normally tanned skin was paled with yellow tones bleeding through like stains Her teeth were dirty yellow plaque and flecks of food from other days laying in the crevices between the gums Brown stains on her Yellowed teeth She stared at the Girl before her Fresh Bruises littered her arms neck and chest Some of her nails were broken off She squeezed her eyes shut.
Her mother had been nice to her welcoming sweet and Loving to her the Whole day " You know what you need my baby? You need to bathe I'll run you one!" Her Mother got off of the couch and walked down the hall toward Allison's bathroom The Pipes shifted as she started the water The sloshing water ran out and into the tub Hearing this made Allison feel relaxed at peace for once " Come on in here I got it nice and Hot for ya'!" She hollered Making Allison Stumble up and walk speedily down the hall Her mother sat down on the toilet seat crossing her arms Allison stood there staring at her mother blankly
" Well? Don't just stand there get in!" Her mother hissed venomously Allison began removing her clothes moving her arms in front of her Breasts covering them from her mother's eyes " Oh come own now I've changed Yer diapers get chur ass in that Tub!" Allison stepped in and Sat down slowly the Hot Boiling water engulfed her cold skin making her Inhale sharply She squeezed her eyes shut and smiled this feeling was unmatched Her mother dropped to her Knees making the room tremble a little Allison opened her eyes Making eye contact with her mother's Blue eyes.
" Let me wash your hair Baby I'll get your Scalp real good." She grabbed the Shampoo from the side of the tub pouring a Little into her palm Allison moved up a little hesitantly Until Her mother grabbed her shoulder and drug her up more violently making the water slosh up the sides of the tub Her mother began lathering her Hair scrubbing her scalp and Massaging it you would've thought she was a hairdresser earlier in life before she became a recluse the soap suds ran down her neck and forehead as her mother lathered the soap in " Alright honey let's rinse it out." Her fat hand had been wrapped around her neck clutching it with an evil iron grip shoving Allison back under the water
Allison choked as soapy water filled her throat gasping in the boiling water every time she tried for air she began clawing at her mother's arm The Water was murky Allison's eyes burned from the soap as her eyes widened underneath trying to look for an escape her mothers eyes were bulging out of her head her tongue out in a concentrated face. Her Mothers nails dug into her throat choking her hard Allison's body flailed around the tub her hands trying to find a solid place to pull up on but every surface slipped from her grasp She then clawed at her mother's arms raking the skin up under her nails and making her mother bleed her choked screams couldn't be heard from the water drowning her out She was dying. Her chest filled with an Agonizing sensation that felt Red. it stung her going to fill all of her at once Her pain would finally stop when it filled her up inside.
Her Mother dragged her up by her hair dragging her out of the tub her bare back slapped on the dirty tile floor " Stand up! Stand!" She bellowed Kicking Her stomach and making Water escape from her mouth onto the floor Allison begged for oxygen to enter her lungs her chest heaving She threw up the water she swallowed onto the tiles Screaming when Her mother grabbed her hair and made her stand Allison's hands gripped the sink as her mother had a pair of scissors in her hand She began chopping at her curls
" You are nothing but a waste. Allison." Chop " I wish I would've had a son He would've been so much smarter than you" Chop " You're nothing but a Liar and a pathetic Brat" Chop " You don't deserve anything but spit and Vomit" Chop " Let Satan deal with you." Chop
"I should've finished the job just then" Chop " You will never be anything."
By the end of her chopping, Allison's hair lay in front of her in the sink in big clumps She grabbed the clumps and began crying harder Her mother then smiled fixing Allison's face to the Mirror " There. Now No Boy will want you will they?" Allison met her own eyes Her hair was chopped almost like a Buzz-cut but some chunks were still there The Red marks that lay around her neck were going to be worse in the morning Her Mother had finally left the Bathroom Allison looked down at the hair left in the sink Her tears dropped into the clumps Her lip trembled as she brought one of the clumps up to her head in a stupid attempt to reattach it She sobbed dropping her mouth open and hiccuping as she sobbed She crumbled down to the Floor pulling her knees into her bare chest her sobs echoed through the bathroom Part of her wishes her mother had finished the job She wished she was dead She wished she didn't have to live this again the next day, she wanted to scream, she wanted to kill her mother she had to do something Something to get out of this misery This misery of living in this world of hatred so then She got an Idea
Why not? She thought No one wants me here anyway Why not make it easier for Them... Me..
She went underneath the sink Grabbing a Razor blade laying it on the sink edge She stood up stumbling a little She unpack-aged the razor throwing the trash on the floor Meeting eyes with the Razor It shined in the Florescent light of the bathroom Her ears began ringing as she got lost in the piece of metal Losing herself... The voice in her head Silent.
But then she snapped out of it Dropping it back onto the sink.
Looking back into the mirror Her breathing was still hoarse She looked up almost as if she was asking God Why? Why did you put me here if I am to be harmed? What is the point lord? Why am I here?
She walked out and back to her room Sitting down on her bed She tried to Gather the courage to complete her task
Now She opened her eyes Rubbing the tears coming back from her thoughts Raising the Blade staring at it once again meeting her own eyes in its reflection she held her breath and looked into the mirror

The blade sliced across her throat blood began to spurt from the slash She dropped back into the wall Dropping the blade on the Floor Sliding down the wall and falling onto her side her hand holding her throat the blood pouring out onto her sweatshirt As she stared up at the Ceiling Her ears ringing She smiled. For the first time in days a real happy smile painted her face and Her eyes fluttered shut. Death took her in his arms cradling her a Warm feeling flowing through her like a Huge blanket A Warm fire in the Harth at The Kiszkas.
Laughter sounded in her Ears She then began seeing a Scene before her She sat on a Sofa Her boys sitting beside her on each side. A Bowl of Popcorn propped on her lap. Candy all over the coffee table with Three Cups of pop and Their favorite Halloween movie playing in the background Halloween Michael Myers Stalking Babysitters and Being a Crazy psycho Trying To Kill Laurie Strode Played by Jamie Lee Curtis Allison always had a crush on her Halloween had always been played on Halloween. It was the Original Movie that the Trio watched together and Josh Loved the Movie He loved Movies, Directing, and anything to do with that he was up and alert. Sometimes He would talk the whole movie Well not the whole movie but on Certain points Pointing out the Directors meaning or something But Allison would listen to him. Loving to see him rant about his passions.
Jake would always look at her when she was watching the movie to see if she was enjoying it as much as his brother But She was always looking at Josh whenever he looked. Never the movie only him. Jake got up abruptly "Where ya going?" Allison asked smiling up at him " Bathroom." He said Allison nodded " Hurry Back" Turning back to the Movie Jake went into their bedroom Grabbing His Halloween mask He was gonna wear Pulling it over his Head No one was home Besides The Three Teens So he had planned to Scare the Bejesus Out of Both of Them with a Funny little Halloween prank He walked back out into the hallway Creeping around the corner The Two still Focused on the Movie Jake creeped up and Pounced on Them Making Allison Scream and Fall back onto the floor
It was as if She fell back into her body Her eyes opened she jerked up off the Bed looking around the Room She was in a Hospital Her hand flew to her throat it was Bandaged up Tears began to fall down She wanted to scream She was so close She felt it.. the Welcoming feeling A nurse walked in with Quinn behind her Making Allison Perk up quickly Quinn smiled at her "Hey Allie" Quinn shoved her hands in her pockets The Nurse checked her Vitals and Changed her bandage Quinn watched Closely " You didn't cut deep enough to damage your voice thankfully.." The Nurse informed her Allison nodded " You will be moved upstairs tomorrow." The Nurse said Wrapping up her work Allison's Eyebrows furrowed and looked over at Quinn
" Allison you tried to Kill Yourself." she sighed looking at her " You're being Institutionalized For A little while you'll be fine It's-" Quinn sighed " It's for the Best okay?"
Allison now sunk lower into her desk when Ms. James walked in not wanting to talk to anyone today Ms. James started the introduction for today's lesson Allison didn't know what they were working on since she had been gone for two weeks " Alice could you take your hood off for me? Thanks, sorry babe." Ms. James smiled and continued talking about Edgar Allen Poe Allison inhaled and then slowly took her hood down the grown out mangled haircut acted as if it was a bright light to her classmates Whispers started all eyes on her
What happened to her hair?
She hasn't been around for weeks
the whispers and murmurs made her want to shrink up into herself and crawl out of the room Ms. James began Reading The Cask of Amontillado Allison tried to listen along but she felt her ears burning She couldn't help but look behind her at Jake and Charlotte Charlotte Sat in the Desk beside him she even pulled it a little bit closer to him He was looking down at his English textbook She was looking at him Her hands all over his arm or gripping onto his shirt like he was going to fly away Jake looked up at Allison catching her gaze when he saw her looking at him he grabbed Charlotte's thigh caressing it awkwardly Allison saw Charlotte blush slightly Allison looked away not interested anymore She wondered when they even got together It was weird and really out of nowhere but Allison had no place to judge him since he looked to be happy and that's all she could wish for. The bell rang signaling the next period Allison packed her things up into her pencil pouch and tucked her books in her arm and stood up A Force bolting into her Making her fall over Her books were scattered on the floor Different papers spilling out.
"Oops," A Voice giggled "Sorry Allison Didn't mean to Bump into you I was just trying to pay attention to my Boyfriend." Allison looked up at the Blonde and Bit her tongue from cussing at her " It's nothing Charlotte..I-" Charlotte didn't give her another look Stepping along over papers and her open sketchbook Leaving a Giant shoe print on one of Allison's Drawings Making Allison gasp and Grab it trying to brush the Dirt off Jake Bent down and Grabbed a couple of loose papers and a Book off the Ground placing them next to Her " What happened to your Hair?" He asked " Cut it all off.." "Why?" He asked She got up and grabbed her stack of papers and books "None of your Business Don't you gotta Go be with your Girlfriend or something?" Her words came out harsher than intended He scoffed
"Would ask you where you've been for the past few weeks but Oh! It's none of my business... See ya later." He then walked out of the classroom She followed behind him He looped his arm around Charlotte's waist as they walked off Charlotte looked over their shoulders at Allison almost as if She could feel Her looking at Them She smiled a Huge smile and Turned back around the Couple walking to their next classes
"Dovey.. We need to talk.." was all she heard before she was Dragged into the Theater and Down the Auditorium into a Dressing room the Door shutting and locking " What's up with you What is happening? You haven't talked to Me in Weeks?! Then you show up being distant Suddenly caring about being Tardy? You won't let me hug you or even Touch your arm for that matter and Your Hair- Your hair! Why did you do that to your beautiful hair Allison!? I mean if you like it I support you But I- I just need you to tell me what's wrong I'm Begging you, Allie." His hands held out to her Wanting her to hold them
Josh's love language was Touch Allison knew that she'd never had a Problem with it They've talked about it even His eyes were teary his Eyebrows knitted together in worry and confusion "I just want you to be happy Mama... You're my Best friend."
Allison stood there in silence avoiding eye contact with him looking down at her Hands She couldn't stand this " Please look at me, Dovey.." He whispered Begging for her attention "I'm fine Josh... I'm just I- I'm sorry I hurt you-" She choked out Tears falling "I've been so horrible to you lately I-" He shook his head " No no... No, you haven't." He pulled her close to him holding her hands squeezing them intertwining them as He placed the back of her hands on his chest "Just tell me what's going on I will fix it." He said She took him in for the first time in Weeks Looking at his face and inhaling his Scent made her feel at peace he smelled like palo santo which was His favorite incense His hair was Long and curly at its ends it was always back behind his ears his forehead plagued with hormonal acne his eyebrows knitted together his eyes were big and brown they were bright and sorrowful His lips pouty like his brothers She was just a little shorter than Him
" I just don't feel like me, Josh... I'm- it is a change I need a Change I guess- Hair grows back." She said giving a small smile " I know you, Allie... Don't lie to me." his eyes somehow darkened "I'm not... I promise." She lied doing her best to morph her face to not give herself away He sighed out "I love you, Dovey... Please don't stop talking to me Please I can't deal with it anymore." She smiled softly and squeezed his hands "I love you too Josh."
"I am here for you mkay? I'll always be ready to listen I don't give a shit what the subject is I am your personal Ear Okay-" That made Allison's face scrunch into a blushed smile She looked up at him and started laughing " What?" He chuckled smiling now that she was "I- Huha!-" She laughed harder " I just saw you as a Big ass ear Hah!" Tears of joy now gathered at the corners of her eyes she held her stomach and Laughed harder "There she is.." He just watched her Laugh Cherishing this Listening to her laughter that he hadn't heard in weeks
The Bell rang for their Third-period class "Shit... We've officially skipped the Second period." Josh smiled "Whatever will I do without The Knowledge of Science Missing one day! How horrifically horrible!" She slapped her hands on her cheeks and pulled her face into a shocked expression But then she continued to laugh Following Josh out of the Dressing room and Back up to the Theater room.
It was now Their Junior Year of high school Josh and Allison were the President and Vice president of the Drama Club Charlotte had Lost to Allison which caused Allison's Sophomore year to be filled with Charlotte becoming Allison's School-based Torment She would do things like come over to the Kiszka home Since She was still Dating Jake She would purposely trip Allison causing her plate to fall onto the Floor She'd Steal Allison's Script and Deface it and Mark out her Lines in Black Permanent marker Charlotte would also flirt with All of the Kiszka Boys if they wanted it or not as well as Sammy Kiszkas Best friend Daniel Wagner This Didn't get under Allison's skin until one weekend The Summer Before Their Junior year Kelly had Cleaned out the Kiszkas Pool finally So Karen had shot out the idea that the Siblings should invite One Guest to have a Pool party!
Food and Drinks were there Chairs and Umbrellas were set out Josh invited Allison of course Sam invited Danny Veronica invited her Friend Marcy who was Sam and Danny's age and Jake of course invited His Girlfriend Charlotte. Much to Everyone's dismay. They didn't understand the Appeal that Jake had to Charlotte I mean yes, she was really pretty but as time went on That melted away The Entire Family saw how she Treated Ronnie and Allison as Well as Marcy when she was over at the same time as everyone else She saw every Female as a Threat.
Allison's mother hadn't been as Hard on her that weekend Snide remarks now and then about Allison's Weight but that was almost it Allison had been following her mother's rules closely She was done with hiding bruises from her friends She was nervous about wearing a bathing suit She was nervous to wear anything not covering up her neck and body The Scar on her neck had turned thinner over time Karen would rub Bio-Oil on the Scar whenever she remembered to so the Scar would Fade Allison thanked her every time The Scar was an Embarrassing reminder of failure She didn't want to see it ever She would wear bandannas around her neck or Scarfs and turtle necks or a Small choker scarf to cover it
Ever since then, she has had phantom pains of the slash and the blood... She felt as if she was reliving the stinging experience if she thought about it hard enough feeling the Liquid spurt out and cover her skin She shook off that Thought and Looked in the Mirror She had just changed in the Kiszkas bathroom She looked down to her stomach A Yellow purplish mark on her side made her fingers run over it sighing Whatever it's just a bruise She thought She then looked at her Stomach again squeezing her tummy Suddenly getting Self Conscious but she pushed it off Her Bathing-suit was A Deep Red That Fit her skin tone well Dark reds had always been her colors
Allison walked out of the Bathroom walked Into The Twins' Bedroom Placing down her clothes on Josh's bed she then grabbed What she needed outside Her Towel and sunglasses "Wow, Dovey Don't you look Nice." She turned Josh stood there smiling behind her His Hair was still long He had it in a Low bun His Face had lost a Bunch of Baby-fat His Cheekbones were now Filled out His Jawline more prominent He was Shirtless and Wore Floral red swimming trunks He grinned bigger and pointed to her then back at himself "We are matching!" She gasped as if she already didn't know "Wow Omg!" She giggled afterward
Allison had lost a lot of Baby-fat as well Her dimples were more prominent and Her cheekbones had begun to fill out but she still had some chub on her cheeks Her hair was Now In a Shaggy short short Mullet style She had freckles on the top of her shoulders that sprinkled down to her arms "Well let's go Back there Danny and Marcy are already here We're just waiting on Charlotte." Allison rolled her eyes " Forever late, isn't she? She's worse than you!" Josh rolled his eyes but nodded in agreement "Listen if she gives you any trouble I'll kick her ass out Jake can't say anything I'm 5 Minutes older an-"She interrupted "Josh I'll be fine I can Fight my own battles She's just weird and I don't know what her problem is.." Josh nodded slinging his arm around her as they walked to the Back, She broke off from Josh when she saw Danny,Running up to Him and Sammy Grabbing Them both in a Tight squeeze around their Necks " Danny!! Sammy! My Favorite Duo How's it going I haven't Seen you guys Since like Last time I was over." The Two Both giggled like little girls Hugging her back "We've been good Allie!" Danny smiled Allison smiled back at him Absorbing Their Faces into her mind Danny's Hair was short and in a sort of Bowl Swoop cut fashion Sam had Matched with him They both wore their Swim trunks. Danny's were Green and Sams were Orange.
"How's It Feel to Be Sophomores?" She smiled "You guys are growing up so well!" She wiped a Non-existent tear from her eye " How's it feel being old, You Junior!?" Sam shot back Smirking slightly She placed a hand over her heart "I'm getting all Rusty Sammy Granny can't walk as good as she used to." She bent over acting as if she had a Cane Sporting Her best Old person voice "But she Can still Pinch ye cheek and Give ye a Good Ol sloppy kiss over it." She grabbed his face Pinching his Left cheek and Kissing his right then blew a Raspberry after she kissed it He was laughing and trying to pull away from her Pushing her shoulders. When she finally pulled away. He was a Blushing mess Trying to Hide his Smile Wiping his cheek with the Back of His hand. Danny laughed at the Two pointing his Finger at Sam "She got you good!" He gave a Hearty laugh his other hand holding his stomach "Oh god!" He laughed more " That looked like it hurt Sam." Danny giggled Sam huffed " It did-" Allison slapped his chest "Oh you liked it Sammy? You're blushinnn Do you like Granny's Kisses? You want another?" She Smiled She then started Tickling His sides He Kept trying to push her away when Finally, He got an Idea He wrapped his arms around her waist picked her up and ran He Ran straight towards the Pool "SAM-" She gasped and started screaming He jumped in taking her with him.
Everyone started laughing at this Daniel came to the edge of the pool When the two resurfaced "YOU ARE SO DEAD FRANCIS!!" Allison screamed Slapping water in his direction He laughed and Splashed water at her Causing a huge Splash Fight to ensue Sam Caught her arms Holding them down so she'd stop After a load of splashing Allison smiled at him Her Chest Heaving from how much she was Laughing She calmed down " I obviously won that Sammy." She smiled He had let go of her arms She pushed her hair back from her face "I don't know about that" He then Splashed Water into her Face once again He couldn't stop laughing She sat there with a wide open mouth In shock "SAM?? THATS UNFAIR!!" This started another fight as she tackled him under the water " Hey Allie! Stop fighting with Sam and Come over here!" Josh yelled
The Two stopped Fighting Allie Pointed her Finger at Sam "This isn't over Francis." Then got out of the pool Pulling herself up and walked over to Josh "What's up?" she asked Josh wrapped an arm around her waist "Momma Wants to Take our Pictures With Jake when He gets Here So I just wanted to tell you that before you know... I don't know I just thought-" Allie nodded "No, I get you... She takes one every summer It's cool." She wrapped an arm around Josh's waist hanging on him loosely Her cheek pressed against his side " Wonder how She's gonna act today.." Josh asked "Probably the same way she always does, Wanting all the Attention" She rolled her eyes " And she'll probably start Bragging once again about how She thinks Sam is a Better Guitar player than Jake and Cause another Argument. She's always starting something." Allie sighed.
Karen walked out of the Back door "Joshua Allison!! Get ready For the Picture Jake is here!!" She called Smiling from Ear to Ear Jake walked out Behind her Charlotte was Far behind Jake had a Crabby look on his Face So did Charlotte when she stepped out He didn't Put his hand on her waist like he normally did They were spaced apart Kind of ignoring each other in a Way This caused Josh and Allie to Share a Look with each other that Only the two of them could read
Karen Ushered Jake Over To the Fence Where Josh and Allie Stood Jake greeted his Brother and Stood Beside Him Ready to get the Picture over with They talked about their Band Rehearsal that was Later that Day
They had started a Band Called Gretna Van Fleet It was Jake's Idea Since he loved playing guitar Josh was the Front-man Sammy Played Bass and then Jake's Friend Adam played Drums Allie didn't like Adam that Much he was Annoying and always made Weird Misogynistic comments to her
"Okay Allie I want you To be in the Middle This time Hun," Karen said She Moved Her between the Boys Josh Posed like Normal Wrapping an arm around Allie's waist and Started Smiling at the Camera Allie Wrapped her Arm around Josh's waist as well and Smiled Wide Jake stood there arms crossed His Sunglasses Covering his eyes His Hair was Cut like an Emo bob like Sam and Danny's But wasn't Long enough His Bangs Swooped over his Forehead He wore a Jimi Hendrix tee and black swim trunks Karen took a Picture but then Dropped the Phone and Looked at Jake "Jacob Thomas, You better Pose right now. I don't have time for Your Grumpiness." Jake sighed and Smiled "That's not Posing Do what Your Brother is doing!" She raised her voice a bit Jake sighed and Wrapped his Arm around Allison's waist Allie shivered slightly But continued to smile She put her arm around him Karen took the Picture and their Arms dropped immediately "Okay Now for the Second picture, I want you to Pose the Same But put your cheeks against each-others Okay?" Jake Groaned "Mom, can we please just swim? you already took a picture.." Karen placed a hand on her hip "I want another One Jacob. this Is for Facebook Now Come on Get it over with and You can go swim!" Jake groaned dramatically They posed Josh and Jake's faces smashed onto her cheeks They Smiled again The Phone shutter noise sounded and They pulled apart "Okay Now I want Josh and Allison's Picture and Then Her and Jake and then I'll get Danny and Sammy"
Josh and Allie posed Taking their Picture normally And then they took a Stupid One They Acted like They were in a Victorian Painting Wiping their Toothy grins off their faces to no emotion and Posing dramatically.
Jake went over to the Table Charlotte sat at. She Turned Ignoring him and Continued to talk to Marcy and Ronnie Jake rolled his eyes and looked back at Josh and Allie Who posed differently each time His mom pressed the Button He glared at them Envy running deep He wouldn't have doubted if they had Been Dating Secretly The way they were so Touchy and Close all the Time and The way they looked at each other.
"Jake Come on and Get a Picture with Allison!" Jake Walked over as Josh ran towards the Pool jumping in finally Jake stood next to her again She looked up at him and opened her mouth to say something "I'm not doing those stupid poses." He said Shutting her down immediately She raised her Eyebrows "I was just going to tell you that I liked your hair." He Swallowed heavily " Thanks now let's get this over with." He wrapped his arm around her again and Smiled big for His mom She put her arm around his waist she snuck her hand under his shirt and laid her hand on his Skin
Jake felt like his Skin had just been set aflame She Pinched his skin harshly causing him to Yelp and make a Face at her She was smiling at Karen His mom Laughed hysterically "That's the Face I wanted! HahA!" She bent over Allie looked up at him and Smiled "I got a Stupid pose out of you didn't I?" He glared at her and She Smiled and Patted his Cheek with her hand and then Ran and Jumped into the Pool Jake Trudged over to Charlotte's table again "Babe-" She shot her face to him "Don't talk to me." She placed her hand up in a silencing gesture Jake raised his Eyebrows "I-" She looked at him with Wider eyes "I said Don't talk to me Go talk to Allison." She said Her name in a Snotty voice moving her head from side to side.
Jake stared at her for a moment Anger flooding into his head He Finally Took off his Shirt and Walking towards His Brothers who Sat Over at the Table on the other side of the Pool He walked over and smiled at them But that Smile drained as Allie Walked past him Towards his Brothers Sitting in the seat he wanted that was Beside Josh and Danny Jake stood there and placed his hands on his waist Sam looked up at His Brother "Jake, what's up with You and Charlotte man? We saw her just like.. Silence you.." Sam said Looking around the Group They all nodded "She silenced you like you were her bitch Dude." Danny Laughed "That's so Embarrassing" Sam laughed slapping Danny's arm As they both laughed in sync
"Want some Chips for your Tough times?" Allison asked looking up at him Shaking the Bag at him He shook his head "No I'd Like to sit down but you took my seat." Allison laughed at him "I took your seat?!" She looked at Josh and Laughed more Tears forming at the sides of her eyes "Well, Sorrrrrey! King Jake! We thought you'd be up your Beloved Girlfriends Ass all night." She Sassed Causing his expression to retort into Rage "I'm not up her ass-" She cut him off "Oh but you are, You have been Since Freshman year Jakey. I honestly don't understand how you two are still together She treats you like Her Dog on a Leash Like you're her Dog at the Pet Show or some shit." He scoffed Looking at His Twin for Backup But Josh Nodded Along With Allison Causing Him to Blow up "You talk a Load of Shit for someone that's always stuck up Josh's ass What is he your Boyfriend or something? I bet you wish he was." Allison snorted her soda coming out her nose "Are you that Insecure Jake? You have to Pick at My Friendship because Your Relationship is plummeting? Wow What's new?" Allison smiled "Maybe you can Sit with us when You stop acting like a Dick to all the people around you. She treats you like shit She treats all of us like fucking shit, Jake. I think it's time you should realize it if you haven't already which I'm sure A Guy as Smart as you Would've Noticed it by now." Jake's Jaw clenched at her words She was right But he wasn't about to drop to his knees and Beg for forgiveness "Whatever Allie Have fun Fucking My brothers." He Retorted Causing Josh Sam and Danny to Look at him Shocked with their Jaws Dropped "You're worried about the Wrong Bitch Jake I'd worry about your Girlfriend... You know The One that Flirts with them all the fucking time I have no interest in Whatever the Hell you're Thinking. Go on back to your Brother Loving Girlfriend." She crunched down on a Potato chip "Slut." He Spat "Whore!" She spat Smiling Wide He turned and left the table and walked back to Charlotte who was Standing up looking over at Him and the Table "What did she Say?" Charlotte asked Her hands on her Hips "Nothing." Jake huffed "Can we please just Swim? Or something?" Before he knew it Charlotte was Walking over to them "Do you guys wanna Chicken Fight?" She asked They all looked at each other and nodded "Yeah Let's go." Sam Got up with everyone following him Getting into the Pool
"Allie, Can I get on your Shoulders? I don't really wanna get on one of the Boys' Shoulders You know Cause Jake's my Boyfriend and All.." Allie nodded "Oh yeah sure Man I'll go under while you get on 'Kay?" Charlotte nodded a Plan slowly forming in her Mind Allison went under Charlotte started climbing on stomping on Allison as hard as She could Digging her Nails on her shoulders When Charlotte was On Allison stood up holding Charlotte's Legs Josh was on top of Sammy's Shoulders Danny was Ref "Okay 1..2..3 GO!" Danny shouted slapping the water Charlotte Pushed Josh But then After Josh pushed her He didn't even push her that hard and She locked her Legs around Allison's neck and Fell back Causing Allison to Choke in water Charlotte's legs wouldn't loosen around Her neck Causing Allison to start thrashing around trying to get her Legs off of her neck She wouldn't Budge Allie started Struggling When she looked up at the Surface Flashbacks came back to Her Mothers Face and Her chunky arms holding her down Allison choked in more water Charlotte kicked Allison's head finally letting go Charlotte Got up resurfacing Josh and Sam were Jumping around in victory Danny Was Laughing they were out of the Pool "YOU GUYS CHEATED!!" Charlotte yelled At Josh poking her lip out "Where's Allison?" Danny asked He noticed First Looking Around wondering if she had got out But then he looked Down "Holy Shit!" He shouted Before Jumping in for her Karen screamed When she saw Allison Floating Danny Picked her up and Took her to the Side of the Pool placing her on the Cement and Getting Back Up Everyone Surrounded her Danny Shook her Josh looked around Frantically "WHO KNOWS CPR??" Everyone was running around Unsure of what To do Kelly Pushed through His Wife and Daughter And Looked at Josh "Every time I tell you to breathe Pinch her nose and Breath into her mouth okay." Josh nodded Kelly started compression's He counted As he pressed down "Breathe!" Kelly shouted Josh Pinched her nose closed and blew into her mouth Karen had already called 911 Allison Gasped her eyes opening She coughed water all over Josh's face Kelly turned her on her side Slamming his hand into her back She Threw up Water her eyes wouldn't open all the way her head panged and panged She reached for Whoever was Close to her Holding them close to Her Sam Wrapped his Arms around Her " You're okay It's Okay." He Reassured he rubbed her back Everyone looked at Her, Her eyes were huge saucers Her Chest was sore He had broken her sternum Probably some ribs as well
The Ambulance then arrived Kelly and Josh rode in the back of the Ambulance Everyone Met them at the Hospital after She had been finally taken to a Room They had to keep her for 24 hours for observation She was fine But it was in case she might Dry drown with the Water in her lungs She had two broken ribs and Her sternum was as well No one has Went back to talk to Her yet They had all thought she had just hit her head when they fell during chicken Charlotte and Jake sat in the waiting room with His family Everyone was worried Sitting on the Edges of their Seats Jake's Head pounded How could this even happen They weren't even Close to Sides or Stairs she couldn't have Hit her head on anything He Thought "Allison Evans Family?" The Nurse walked up Josh Sprung up "Yes That's us." Kelly Said Standing Karen Stood beside Him "How is she? Can we see her?" The Doctor nodded "Follow me."
Josh Sat beside her in the Chair closest to the bed holding onto her hand She smiled meekly "Hey Joshy.." He smiled as He felt her squeeze his hand "Hey my Dovey" "She has Two Broken Ribs and Her Sternum is Broken as Well... We will have to hold her here for Twenty-four Hours in case she dry drowns in her sleep because of the Water that entered her Lungs." The Doctor Said in a very monotonous voice "I can't stay here for Twenty-four hours." Allison groaned "I have to go home My mo-" She coughed when she raised her voice She Groaned again holding her side Jake and Charlotte walked in causing Allison's jaw to Tighten "Why is she" she coughs "here?" She asked Charlotte put a hand on her chest "I'm here because I'm worried about you! Can't let Our VP die on us!" She giggled "Worried?" Allison asked She was Blown away "Worried?? Charlotte you fucking held me under the water?" Allison sat Up The Pain in her Chest Didn't hurt her anymore The only thing on her mind was Charlotte "What?? Why would you say that??" Charlotte asked Shocked Looking around the Room for some Help from the Brothers "You're Right why would she say that," Jake asked looking at Charlotte "Unless you- Ya know Did it." Charlotte Gasped again Her eyes growing wide
"Why would I do that?? Jakey?? Come on How would I have done that?!" Jake's Jaw clenched and He looked over at Allison Allison looked at him Meeting his eyes "Because Allie would never lie about something like that Charlotte. I think you should leave."
"What? Are you serious?? I didn't do anything?? She's a Liar!" Jake ignored her and sat Next to his brother "Jake!" She whined, " Jakey Please!" He ignored her His Eyes still on Allison "Babe-" He interrupted her "Leave." She finally shut her mouth Tears welling up in her eyes "Oh, you are so Over Jake Kiszka. Over!" and with that she stomped out of the room and down the hall Allison groaned and laid back down looking over at Jake "Took you long enough." She groaned He smiled a little "Shut up Allie... Just be glad I know you better than you think I do."
Months gone by Jake and Allison had Actually grown closer With a few fights here and there Jake liked to pick on Allison But she couldn't help but fight back or get upset about his Teasing She'd blow up on him Hell She'd even blow up on Josh if she was having a Bad day Quinn, Her case worker had Gotten her into a Therapy program The therapist had diagnosed her with post-traumatic stress disorder and Intermittent explosive disorder That was the cause of her Blow ups She had told them she'd Try and control it and try and not get so aggressive and defensive She got really good at Controlling it The Band had Hit it off That's what Allison always said She was their biggest fan Always present at rehearsals and taking their pictures when they rehearsed They finally had their First show and Of course Allison was gonna go How could she not? They were playing in this Bar downtown So of course she hopped on her Bike and Got there as Fast as she Could the room was filled with teens and old men and women She sat At the Bar and Turned her chair Towards them watching them play their Three songs Highway tune was her favorite Jake said they hadn't perfected it But she still liked it just as much
It was now after The Show when Jake Came up Pulling her Into a Hug " Hey Allie, you enjoy the show?" He asked she hugged him back " Yes! It was amazing You did so well on your Guitar solo Man." Alice was so Proud of her friends Jake Josh and Sammy Jake placed his hands On her Shoulders squeezing gently "I need help Because I lost my Lucky pick backstage can you come help me you've got good eyes right Allie?" She nodded " Oh ya of course Lead the Way Bud." She followed him through the Wings of the stage Into the Back Green room There was a Leather Maroon leather couch and A Coffee table with rock mags on it The walls were covered in Rocknroll posters Their Equipment had been moved in here after their Show
Jake's Guitar Sat In its case Sam's Bass sitting on the Couch He must've Just been Playing it " I feel so stupid, I lost it before the show Thanks for helping me By the way!" He smiles Looking around moving things to see where it Was Alice started to look around the couch seeing Something Bright Green Caught her Eye in between the Couch Cushion She drops to her knees in front of the couch digging for it Finally grabbing and Pulling it Out lifting it into the Air Standing up " Aha! Here she is!" She grins handing it to him " Thank you so much You're a Lifesaver that was my last one and If I lost that One I'd have to save up money for another pack of picks." He chuckled She nodded chuckling along with him sitting back on the couch "Oh yeah dude no problem friends help each other out." Alice says pushing her Brown hair back from her eyes It had grown longer finally He grins that stupid smile and Looks at her then at His Guitar " You wanna play before you leave? I- Only asking 'cause I know How Obsessed you are with it-" " Uhm I'm not Obsessed with it I just like playing... My mom won't buy me one.. we don't have the money right now.." He Frowns "I'm sorry Allie I didn't Mean to-" "No you're fine Jake" She Smiles faintly "Sorry If I'm being annoying by asking you to play it all the time"
"Shut up Allie." Jake then Hands her His Guitar she straightens up and Takes the pick from him " I'm gonna attempt it Don't make fun of me" She glared at Him Playfully He snorted "There's More to Make fun of than you Messing up on guitar" She dropped her mouth open " Well that's just mean Jake." She then started Strumming The Chords she thought It would be And Started Singing The Lyrics She remembered them by Heart Because she had listened to it so much so she could try and Play it one day for him and So far it didn't sound that Bad...
" Dude?" He looks over at her From Where he is Packing Up a Box "Your Voice is Beautiful Like it Actually Sounds good Why haven't you Sung in front of me before? What song is that? Did you write it?" He Bombarded she blushed Slightly and continues to Play the Chords while she spoke "Thanks Asshole... It's an Amy Winehouse song Called Valarie I'm not good at writing songs so don't expect that Maybe someday... but I tried.." He nods " It works It fits your Voice man... Again Your voice is Amazing.." He sits down Next to her Smiling "Oh shut up Jake I'm not as Good as You on Guitar And I'm definitely not as good at Singing as Josh is." He scoffed " I don't know about that.." He looks down at his hands fiddling with his fingers
"We are all unique with our own Talents. Music is something that Reaches everyone in different Ways I can Have my Own opinions on your Talents Then You have your Own and Your voice is Just... Wow.." He Says Looking up at her his cheeks were pinker than usual she thought. " Thanks Jake." She continued to Strum Along "Anytime." He leans back on the couch closing his eyes Putting his Hands Behind his Head. She starts playing around With different chords and different tuning.
"Why don't you Join the Band Dude... Cause You're Good Have you been Playing somewhere else Besides with me?" She nodded focusing on the chords" Yeah, I work at the Music store In town with Danny... I've been Practicing on the Guitars there As well as Some other Instruments.." She shrugs looking up at him "That's Great I'm glad You need a Way to Practice that Talent of yours." He smirks Pushing his hair back from his face She rolls her eyes Feeling like he's Trying to be Sarcastic " Oh shut up Jake You're Just trying to Sweeten me up."
" No Alice I'm serious I've Never Heard Anyone Play like that... Well except for myself... Your Singing Is Very Melodic.." she rolls her eyes once more " Thanks...I guess.." she stares at him for a Little but she then Clears her Throat "Here you play Something, Hotshot." She hands him the Guitar and The Bright green Pick " Alright." He begins Playing a New Tune she has never heard Before... He laughs nervously " It's kind of Half-assed but that's a new song we are currently working on." she nods in approval" It's really good Jake... You guys were really good today by the way if I didn't already tell you, The girls all really went wild when you did your Solo." Alice laughs remembering all of the girls who were screaming for the Group of boys He nodded continuing to play Staring at The Guitar She stared at his side profile His nose turned up at the tip not much he had a slight hump on the bridge of his nose His eyebrows were boxy and furrowed in concentration His eyes were brown and down-turned his lips were chapped and pink from biting at them all the time when he focused He had decided last year he was going to start growing his hair out longer getting rid of the old short hair he's always had His hair had grown out to past his shoulder his swoopy bangs still there He looked up at her and she turned away almost instantly " You alright Allie?" He stopped playing " Oh yeah I'm fine Man." she nodded " I'm sorry Keep playing." she said "No worries Man, Are you sure everything's okay?" He asked putting a hand on her Shoulder.
She stiffened at the action, I don't even know what's wrong she thought to herself. She just nodded at him smiling big trying to Convince him, He pulls his hand off of her shoulder frowning waiting for her to answer him instead of just nodding. He watches Alice closely. She shakes her head "I'm okay! I swear. I'm just Thinking." She says Snarky then gives him another Tight-lipped fake smile... He smiles at her Reassuringly " Well, you wanna Play some more? Show off that Music store Talent?" He asks trying to change the subject seeing she is getting agitated "It's getting pretty late... I'm gonna go Don't wanna worry my Mom and all.. I'll see you on Monday alright? At school" she stands up " Oh okay let me walk you out then!" She sighs as he stands up placing his guitar into his case and wiping his hands on his jeans " No man you don't got to-" "Oh shut up I insist Besides I still wanna talk to you.." He cut her off She swallows dryly She didn't know what this feeling was it felt as if she could throw up She had a Terrible feeling in her stomach maybe it was the Dread of going home... "Okay then let's walk to the bike rack and you can talk to me on the way there.." they walk out into the hallway "Don't worry about your Mom Allison... She'll understand you're out with friends and besides it's the weekend man! No school till Monday!"
She laughs dryly" Yeah.. sure." They walk out into the parking lot He slings his arm around her shoulders pulling her closer and messing up her hair as he does so "I'm really glad you came and saw us today man.. really I appreciate it." She grins up at him While Pulling at her hair trying to fix it " I love watching you guys play I would do it all the time if I could!" " Random question.." He mutters She looks up at him as they walk His arm is still around her shoulders " But do you like hanging out with me?" He looked down at her "Uh... Yeah? Of course, Why wouldn't I? You're my friend?" Alice laughed quirking her eyebrow Stopping in her tracks Standing in front of him, his arm falling off of her shoulders as she did so
"Because... I feel like I haven't seen a real smile from you in a while... You seem sad all the time... Distant even... Even when I'm talking to you right in front of you? What's going on? I'm worried about you Alice and I know we haven't had a good past but I still... Care about you." He looks down at her with worry in his eyes Hoping in his mind that she will just tell him what the hell has been wrong recently.
"I smile- I'm happy I- Don't worry about me Jake there's nothing to worry about Okay?" She Throws her hands up at the last part slapping them back down on her thighs She felt angry How could he think that She didn't want to be around him... She thought am I that bad of a Friend I try, don't I? "See what was that? The old Alice would never Just push it off like that. Is it something I did... Is it your Mom?-" " Oh don't act like you know me so well Jake you don't know shit about my life!" she snaps cutting him off His face drops into a sad expression Alice's face turns from angry to Remorseful " Jake I'm sorry I-" "No forget it, Allison. Fucking forget it." She tries to catch his hand or shoulder anything she could hold onto to get him back "Jake please I'm sorry!" He turned to her again His Mind running full speed " Don't apologize if you're just gonna keep being this way. Apologize when you actually fucking change and want to be around me." he then stormed off back inside the Bar...
Allison Pulls her lip into her mouth biting down on it harshly "I'm sorry.." She whispered to no one in the empty grayed parking lot "I didn't mean to.." It wasn't grey before... The color drained from the scenery as soon as he left and slammed the door... The Warmth in her stomach went away turning into a sea of emptiness her heart welled with a stabbing feeling She sighed tears falling traveling from her cheeks to her chin and falling onto her Navy blue shirt " Why the fuck are you crying." she said aloud to herself " It's your fucking fault why the fuck are you crying? why do you act this way.." She then pulled at her hair hard almost breaking off a piece She walked over to her bike taking it out of the Bike rack.
She begins peddling her way home looking around the streets in town she finally makes it into her neighborhood looking at the Houses She then Passes the Kiszka House Stopping her bike in the middle of the road having a Perfect view inside of the Dining room window Lights were on Her friends sat around the table with their family The scene before her was cheery and homey their grass had been cut recently flowers were planted in the dirt patch below the dining room window Their Door was painted a Bright Yellow she then saw Jake sitting there almost like he knew she would see him sitting there dead center... Smiling as if nothing had just happened Like She didn't just write their future as friends Like she didn't just snap at him Like he didn't even care.
This made more Tears well up watching him smile at his brothers and laugh at whatever stupid jokes Sammy made Kelly gave a Playful shoulder push to Sammy as he joked around They all got up and began cleaning up the table Karen Planted a Kiss on their Foreheads or cheeks Depending if they were sitting or standing...
Her thoughts were interrupted by a Car horn honking behind her She gasped peddling off the road and down a Gravel road that cut to her house through the woods She didn't stop peddling until she got to her house Hearing her dog bark at her behind the chain fence She dropped her bike outside She looked up at the house It was a one-story house with peeling white paint and a Navy blue door The porch had shit all over it it had grown over the years The grass and weeds grew to waist height over time
Allie walked up the stairs and opened the screen door the house was silent and still... Not a Light on in the house... Allie turned towards the kitchen seeing Her mother leaning against the Counter A cigarette was lit and wrapped tightly around her lips Just like always "Do you know what damn time it is Allison?" She grunted " Yes ma'am I'm sorry I was with Jake-" "Always with them boys.." Her mother said scoffing her eyes searching her daughter's face She then laughed curtly "After I've told you time and time again!" She puffed on her cigarette once again "I don't want you hanging around those Kiszka boys again Especially that Wagner boy They ain't nothin' but trouble I've told you this!" She pointed at Alice sternly her lips pursing I know tomorrow you're gonna go to that pitiful excuse for a Job and See them!" She stomped forward Coming closer and getting into Alice's face " If I find out or see you talking to them boys again...You will be quitting your job immediately." She threatens Allison made a Sobbing noise and then A Sharp heavy force made her face fly to the Right causing her to lose her footing and fall onto the tile floor touching her left cheek the skin pulsing and red heat radiating off of it Her eyes widened blood dripped down her nose she tasted it in her mouth from where she had bit her tongue Her mother's crazed red face and big rounded eyes stared down at her as they always did "Get the Fuck out of my sight!"
She ran around the corner into her room and sank onto the floor when she closed the door She reached up and locked her door and got up touching her face again as she looked into her cracked vanity mirror She shook Crying more as she looked at herself she looked pitiful Her eyes red from all the crying Alice glimpsed down at her desk seeing Polaroid photos that she had strung across the desk sometime last week when she deep-cleaned her room Picking one of them Up It was a Photo of Her with Sam and Jake on the Orange sofa Their Mother Had put in their Garage for their Band practices She would go over there and hang out whenever she could She remembered that...
Sam was Talking to her about a New Album that had just come out recently and He was excited for them to get it into the store this week When she saw a Flash go off in the corner of her eye Josh stood in front of the couch with his Polaroid camera He waited for it to come out of the Bottom and Shook it Giving Alice his Famous goofy grin "For the original fan, Allison Evans. To keep in her Shoe-box of photos to Look back on and Have a Good Smile." She looked at him with a grin " Thank you Josh I will keep this forever." She clasped it to her chest
She looked back up at Her mirror and saw a different face an Unfamiliar face staring back at her She looked back down at the Polaroid Seeing That girl Smile big at the short haired Bassist He wore a huge smile as well His hand Waved and paused in the air... He would always talk with his hands... and Jake who had Sat Behind her Looked into the Camera sticking his Tongue out his fingers frozen in a Rocknroll sign
Alice sighed and dropped the photo back down onto her Desk She fell back into her bed crumpling up and dragging her knees into her chest She thought for a minute staring at the white wall moving into a sitting position Her thoughts were clear in her actions. Alice nodded slowly to herself Getting up and Grabbed everything she needed shoving it into her backpack and zipping it closed Bundling up throwing another jacket on top of her Loose jacket and Tee-shirt pulling a Hat over her hair. Lifting her window Jumping out then closing it she ran She then began riding her bike far into town Pausing at the Music store Sitting down On the Bench outside of the store Pulling her hat down over her face resting her eyes.

So after that one Jacemond post I made I couldn’t help but want to add more to it.
These made up little shits got me in a chokehold so I decided to give them names… and siblings.
Here are Jacaerys and Aemond’s children and their names (according to me). I definitely believe Jace and Aemond would want their children to have their own names and not name them after Aegon or Visenya like everyone else.
Caesaron (Cuh-SAIR-uhn) The oldest and shortest just like his momma. He has all the Targaryen features.
Naehaerys (Nuh-HAIR-iss) Their second child, looks exactly like his mother but has his father’s height.
Vaelon (Vay-LUHN) The older twin, has his father’s hair and his mother’s eyes.
Vishaera (Vi-SHIR-uh) The younger twin, just like her brother has her father’s hair and mother’s eyes.
Rhaelees (Ray-LEES) The youngest, has her mother’s hair and father’s eyes.
Trying to make/pronounce Targaryen names is hard. I didn’t add personalities or what their dragons would look like, I figured it would be fun for other people to brainstorm that. If you’d like to talk to me about it I’m down.

Backstory
Dimitri "Dima" Belsky never really knew his birth parents. As far as he knows and as far as he cares, he had no family until he was placed in the care of Melina and Alexei when he was five. Natasha was eight and Yelena was three. How he ended up under the thumb of Dreykov and his various nefarious pursuits he has no idea and he doesn't really want to know. The point was, he spent three of his most formative years with this little family unit and he loved them like they were his own.
Dima was a momma's boy growing up - something that follows him into his adult life later - and enjoyed all the time he spent with his sisters. He was a sensitive kid and didn't like being away from his family for too long. So, the separation of the family that one fateful night was as bad as it could possibly be. His mother had been injured and they were separating him from his sisters. Worst of all, his father was doing nothing to stop any of it.
While the girls were taken into their training to become widows, Dimitri was placed into a spy program for training with other young boys. He hated it. He missed his family, missed his sisters and the other boys were so terrible. He was tormented by the adults in charge as well as the other boys, so he did the only thing he could, he got quiet. They wouldn't bother him as much if he gave them less reason to.
He was still trained in espionage and was capable of working through some of his emotions later when he had the ability to have items of his own. He wrote things down because he had no other outlet. No one else has ever seen it or ever will. He was a spy for a while until he found a way out. He faked a death and supported himself by using his only skills. He became a gun for hire. And that's what he does until his sisters come calling.

Next up for the Main Universe next-gen redesigns/reworks, we have the children of Musa, Riven, and Darcy! This one took longer to get to mainly because I was having trouble at first sketching Maddy. If you recall, Madeline is the daughter of Musa/Riven, who split soon after her birth. After focusing on her career and raising her daughter as a single mother(as she took custody), Musa eventually meets up with Darcy again, them reconciling and dating for a few years before marrying. Darcy also had a daughter of her own from a previous relationship, Elodie, who becomes Musa's new step-daughter and Maddy's step-sister. Eventually after their marriage they had their own child together, a son named Edgar.
Elodie was originally a "what-if" character concept that I was contemplating for my Main Universe, that I eventually settled on adding in because I could see her having some interesting dynamics with her siblings.
I hope you enjoy! Here are more notes for all three of them!
================================================
- Madeline "Maddy": 17 years old, daughter and only child of Musa and Riven, and step-daughter of Darcy. Citizen of Melody, and Fairy of Sound Waves. Tallish height, slim hourglass build that is leaning towards the pear-shaped side, long and straight navy bluish-black hair, bluish-purple eyes, fair skin, a mole on her left cheek, dark orchid make-up, ears double pierced. As her parents split soon after her birth with her mother taking custody, she feels no resentment to either of them for their separation, nor does she miss her father all that much as he never had a huge part in her life. For the first years of her life she naturally bonded more with her mother and loved following her to her shows when she could, but when Darcy came into her mother's life and they eventually married, she happily accepted her as her new Step-Momma as she saw just how happy Musa was with her. Along with their marriage she gained her step-sister Elodie, who she was a bit intimidated by at first and it took them a long time to adjust to each other. Maddy is a very chill and laidback kind of girl, who has some bad habits of being too lazy or stubborn at times and coming across as a huge help. Despite this, she is a huge sweetheart when you get to know her who loves helping out her friends and loved ones in any little ways she can, with a huge generous nature as she loves making gifts for others. She grew a fondness for fashion and particularly DIY fashion at a young age, having always loved experimenting with new styles from her thrift-clothes shopping ventures. One of her first DIY projects she was so proud of was her butterfly jeans back when she was a young teenager, which don’t fit her as much now that she’s older but she still loves them all the same. Like Musa, she too has an interested in music but is a little unsure at the moment of pursuing it in the future.
- Elodie: 21 years old, daughter and oldest child of Darcy, and step-daughter of Musa. Citizen of Melody, and Witch of Illusions. Tall height, willowy and slightly curvy figure, long and wavy reddish-brown hair, piercing gold eyes, light tanned skin, dark makeup, ears pierced. Born from a previous relationship of her mother's, she grew up not knowing her father as he left before she was born, nor does she care all that much to meet him either as he left his family. As her mother moved them around here-and-there for her work, Elodie grew up as a bit of sheltered and tense kid who found it hard to find and make friends with people who genuinely liked her instead of pick on her. She kept to herself most often, until her mother started dating Musa and eventually married her, with her now having a new step-mom and step-sister to get used to. She tried getting comfortable with Maddy, but the two were too different that it took them a long time to truly get along. It was not until she got accepted into Cloud Tower that she really got to thrive. A very sly, playful, and confident young woman, who has learned how to get what she wants in life and takes no crap from anyone, though she often lets her pride get in the way. Since graduating she has taken up a job as a magician-illusionist, primarily using her illusions to entertain young children, though she truthfully has bigger ambitions for her life.
- Edgar: 10 years old, son and youngest child of Musa and Darcy. Citizen of Melody, with some signs of possible magic but no specific source at the moment. Average height, skinny build, wavy dark brown hair that is just past the ears, gold eyes, pale skin, square-shaped glasses. Edgar is the only child born from Musa and Darcy's marriage, and the only son of the blended family. When he was a baby both his older sisters absolutely adored him and still like to gush over him nowadays, though he does get pretty annoyed with their coddling. Unlike most of his peers, he is a very serious and studious young man, more focused on studying magic, reading, or playing brain puzzles than making friends. A perfectionist and stickler for rules, he always makes sure other people pay attention to them, even if this gives him a bit of sour reputation with his classmates as they label him as a stick-in-the-mud. Though he could stand to relax and be less callous, he is a genuinely hard-working boy who has big dreams for the future, as he is inspired by his Mama Musa to one day protect the Magical Dimension.

Stardew Valley Druid
My most recent Stardew Valley Farmer.
Name: Coal Hemlock
Age: 37
Gender: Cis Man
Sexuality: Pansexual
Height: 6'2"
Eyes :Hazel
Appearance: Native Americanish features, dark tan skin, long black hair down past his ribs, fairly muscular but with a not quite full dad bod level of squish. Usually found in a flannel, a plain black t-shirt or a t-shirt with either a band or nerdy reference on it, blue jeans, and well worn in black work boots.
Background: A neurodivergent man who grew up in a supportive family, twice divorced and is a single father of a 14 year old(Jack).
First Divorce was the product of two people realizing they have no romantic chemistry after being married for 3 years and ended thing amicably. Mom(Danny) gave custody to Coal due to her inherating the family buisness that forces her to often travel out of country. However, despite their romantic incompatibility they are kick ass parents and still best friends to this day.
Second divorce was the product of two people that had differeing religious beliefs, Coal being a druid, wife(Sara) being a follower of Yoba, who at first were very open minded and respectul.of the others religion and even shared each others practices until a move for a job and a whole knew church changed it all.
Coal clocked the church as a cult pretty quick and refused to go but allowed Jack because they honestly wanted to go.
After an incident at a church social that nearly made him beat a ten year old boy into thw geoynd for trying to rip off Jack's skirt, followed by Jack coming home from school crying because they were made to believe it was thier fault, he stopped letting his Sara take them.
And despite all attempts to make Sara see what she was getting into and multiple therapy attempts, it became clear that divorce was inevitable.
Right around then was when he ran across the deed to the farm and came up with the idea to divorce Sara and move out there.
A move that was doubly important when Jack comes out to him, not only as presenting as a fellow druid but as a nonbinary aroace person. Something he had no problem with for obvious reasons even if the aroace part had to be explained.
After running the idea by Jack whose response was "Fuck Yes! Get me out of this hell city!" he made plans and began saving money in a seperate account in order to make the move.
However, about a year before everything was ro kick off, he gets a call at work from Jack's favorite game shop, telling him his 13 year old kid is curled up in the corner crying becaaue they were outed at school and instead if calling him as the biological parent they called Sara. And the resulting freak out ended up with her locling up the house and putting a note on the door saying, "I am not letting a demon into my house. Your are no longer welcome." For Jack when she got out of school.
The resulting fight ended with Sara being kicked out(everything was in his name) and forced to go stay with her parents while Coal filed the divorce papers, sold the house, and got some financial and temprary housing help from Danny so they could move out to the farm as soon as possible.
Year 1: Coal and Jack dig into the earth, just go ham on building up the farm, connecting with the community, making friends, and just start really thriving despite the nasty divorce preceedings and the ex's attempts to get back at Coal.
Shane and Coal meet and trauma bond, forming pretty tight friendship that involves a lot of pining on both sides during this time.
Year 2: Divorce finalizes and despite Sara's best efforts is unsucessful in all her attempts to sabatoge Coal and Jacks life, mostly because Danny herself takes time off to put Sara in her place, showing her how what a true momma bear with too much money and a lot of time on thier hands can do.
Once the Divorce finalizes, Coal begins to more actively court Shane, Danny and Jack often wing manning for both.
By the end of the year, Jack has a second dad and a new little sister.

Age: 19
Height: 5'10"
Birthday: March 4th 1756
Birthplace: Italy
Orientation: Pansexual
Species: Vampire
Occupation: Freelance Musician
Father: Dominique Valo
Mother: Angelica Valo
Sibling(s): Villa, Victoria, Kat, Lestat (deceased) and Rosalie Valo
Bio:
TRIGGER WARNING: DEPRESSION AND SUICIDAL THOUGHTS
Jasper is the 4th youngest in the family and is the only one out of all the siblings to have his mother’s blond hair and wasn’t a mix of his father’s dark hair, like Villa's. Jasper always did seem to have some issues with his sadness, but it his issues seem to fade as he got older perhaps due to having such a loving family. While all his siblings were close, he was perhaps the closest with their mother and often seen as the ‘momma’s boy’ in the family. After that night Jasper’s mind was never quite the same.
He was normally a sweet and shy boy but now he was quiet and didn’t even want anything to do with anything anymore, but who would after what he and the other’s saw when his parents were murdered?
To make things worse, prior to his parents' death, he was turned into a vampire by Lestat as part of a 'prank' by his younger brother. While they were only two years apart, Jasper always struggled to get along with him. Jasper was sweet and soft spoken, while Lestat was agressive and behaved brashly. This 'prank', that Lestat viewed like normal human pranks, made Jasper truly fear his little brother and started a downhill spiral into depression and self hatred. His own family had betrayed him, and something started to crack in Jasper until he broke completely at the sight of their mother and father brutally torn to shreds by Lestat.
After they were murdered, Kat and Jasper split up from Villa and his other sisters. It was mostly out of protection, hiding in fear that their brother would come 'finish the job'. For every decade that past, Jasper could feel himself sinking further and further into a spiral. For every human he had to kill or drain forcefully, he only wished that he could die in their place. He tried his best to hide this depression and wish for death, but often he noticed his sister could see the depression in his heart.
It didn’t help that in the 1990's, he was severely bullied at school for his long hair and quiet nature. Often men would call him a woman and women would turn him away due to feeling some kind of gloomy vibe about him.
Three guys in particular would relentlessly harass Jasper. They would throw things at him, shove him against a wall and dump food on him when he wasn't eating. He never fought back because he didn't want to harm humans, even though he knew that he had the strength to overpower them as a vampire. In a particular incident, Jasper was pinned down by these men and brutally attacked. They would kick and punch him, until the leader of the group grabbed a broken bottle and jammed it into Jasper's eye.
After Jasper's screaming for help, too afraid of his vampire powers to fight back, students found Jasper's bleeding and bruised body where they called the ambulance and police. Jasper is now permanently blind in that attacked eye, growing out his bangs to hide how hideous he thinks his eye looks.
His sister, Kat, and everyone else he knew grew worried after the incident as he grew more distant. After he was exposed for looking up methods of suicide, particularly if a vampire can commit suicide, Jasper was rushed to a doctor by Kat. He would be diagnosed with severe depression, with Kat questioning why he was never honest about how bad it was. In his honesty? He felt deep guilt and shame over everything.
Kat would find him a therapist, and Jasper was allowed to tell them the truth. He is also prescribed on medication that he is taking, but it's working slowly as doctors don't want to give him an extremely high dose right away. Currently he is still extremely antisocial and often doesn’t speak to people unless he’s spoken to. He is also afraid of intimidating men, as he fears that incident will happen all over again.
This makes Jasper very conflicted. He doesn't care about gender when he wants to fall in love with someone, but he feels torn that a particular type of man makes him terrified and sends him into a spiral of horrific flashbacks of the attack.
His nickname of Jasper comes from his birth stone. His mother found a jasper gem in the market, and called him 'her little Jasper'. Since then, he's gone by Jasper to everyone.
Jasper does not know that Lestat was killed by Villa in self defense. Everyone agreed that Jasper needs to recover first before he learns the heavy news of his little brother's death. If he did find out? He would likely feel devastated and deeply hurt. He wouldn't be hurt because his siblings kept it from him, but hurt that he couldn't help his little brother.
For now, he lives with Kat and spends his days taking online classes. While all his siblings are talented in some way, Jasper seems to be rather talented with music. When he's completely alone in the apartment, he just stays in his room playing the guitar or the kayboard Kat bought for him. While he's deeply passionate about music, he's still far too insecure to get into a career for it.
Just like Kat, he also has an American accent. Jasper will only speak Italian when he wants to talk privately with his siblings or if he's so emotionally triggered that he can't think straight to speak English.

for the if they had a child meme: IbaraEly or NatEly ? :D
If they had a kid meme: accepting
send me a pair name and I’ll tell you what I think it would be like if they had a child.
Name: Kanade Sakasaki
Gender: Male.
General Appearance: He has blonde hair that he dyed green streaks into, yellow eyes like his father, but is more around his mothers height. I feel like he's constantly smiling but when he isn't it's usually a serious situation, which tends to make people grasp it easier.
Personality: He's quite the snarky one, coming from two parents who tend to sass people, it's naturally part of his vocabulary and he can be quite rude without realizing it, but he says it so cheerfully that it's very clearly mocking. He's also very intelligent and doesn't take kindly to people trying to undermine him, so he'll often pull out all the stops to guarantee they regret it. He's very smug and enjoys winding people up, finding their reactions to be amusing. Due to attending Yumenosaki, however, he doesn't interact with women much and is afraid of every woman he meets but his mother and aunt Anzu.
Special Talents: Rapping. Just because of his face claim.
Who they like better: Elyon, he's a momma's boy through and through.
Who they take after more: Probably Natsume!
Personal Head canon: He memorizes anything he sees, and since his memory is so good, he'll always tell his parents about the loophole he found in what they said if they try giving him into trouble.
Face Claim:
Name: Genzuki Saegusa.
Gender: Male.
General Appearance: His hair is the same shade as his father, while his eyes are from his mother, he's taller than his parents but he isn't really tall. He's never seen without a suit on and tends to slouch when he stands. He's got one of those faces that just feels smug somehow.
Personality: He's smart and manipulative, with both his parents raising him with the knowledge they have, but unlike his parents, he has no need of their methods, so instead he just uses the methods to get more snacks off people. He's easily irritated and tends to snap a lot but Elyon can usually calm him down, while Ibara will take him to train for a bit so he calms down. He's one of those guys who is super smug about everything and it annoys most people, given his arrogance is unstoppable, but he also believes that given who his parents are- he has no reason not to be.
Special Talents: He's actually an amazing marksman but outside of that, he's able to file business reports in a really short amount of time with no errors.
Who they like better: Elyon, because the other parent is Ibara.
Who they take after more: Ibara..? Maybe??
Personal Head canon: He's the kind of guy to walk around with like a bunch of money in his wallet since he knows he can beat up anyone that tries to mug him.
Face Claim:
( only with Ibara's hair colour )

You know that height ask made me real happy so I propose a headcanon: Edward reached 5"11 at age 20. It's possible for guys to still grow at 20 though that's a maximum age but it would make me so happy, him already being content with being 5"7 and then BOOM fucking half Xerxian giant!!!! He'd still be like 5cm shorter than Al though.
|| Unfortunately, my friend, this boy maxes out at 5′6″. His dreams of 5′11″ will sadly stay dreams. He was never destined to be a tall man and the use of overly heavy automail for so many years didn’t do his body any favors. Eating to maintain his brother’s body as well as his own, again didn’t do him any favors. He only manages to make it to 5′6″ thanks to the decreased weight of his northern automail - which really wasn’t that much but I mean when you drop like 10 lbs a limb on each side it strains your frame a lot less.
He’ll always be a little guy and he’ll always be shorter than his brother much to his own dismay. But he nearly caught up to Mustang at 5′8″ and that’s pretty cool! He can look Mustang dead in the eyes without tilting his head and he’s pretty stoked about that.

The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning
Chapter 77: Flying on a Painted Wing
❧ Pairing: Daryl Dixon x Female Reader ❧ Era: Season 10 ❧ Pronouns: she/her ❧ Warnings: scary situation ❧ Word Count: 6.5k
❧ In This Chapter: With Alpha's horde on its way to storm through Hilltop, Daryl and the others prepare to evacuate, but the Whisperers have other plans. Meanwhile, you and Magna make your way back home, as part of the horde.
❧ A/N: Some nice conversations between Daryl and Aaron, as well as Daryl and Robin. I didn't put in the conversation with Carol because I thought it was kind of pointless, but there will probably be a confrontation between them at some point. Also made Robin make Daryl's vest because obviously, but Judith does help, too.
Robin Dixon had courage.
It was a strange kind of courage, one that didn’t always come naturally to the six-year-old girl, but it was courage nonetheless.
She was small, relatively helpless against walkers, and just barely knew how to hold her spear, but she had the right mindset. What attracted her to the concept of courage and bravery was that she could use whatever advantages she had to help the less fortunate, the “weak,” some would say.
If she had to manufacture the courage she needed to save her mother, trapped with Connie and Magna in the ruins of the cave, she would do just that.
“I’m going, too,” she said, approaching Kelly, Yumiko, and Luke on the steps of the Barrington House in Hilltop.
Luke’s eyes widened at the small child, and Yumiko stepped forward with a sigh. “No, Robin,” she said, in that fancy English accent of hers that always fascinated Robin. “You should stay here with your uncle.”
She shook her head vehemently. The anxiety had been weighing down on her heavily, the horrible feeling of not knowing where either of her parents were. All the while, the others were whispering about an imminent attack on Hilltop, as rumors flew around of Alpha leading the horde towards the settlements.
“My mommy’s—” She stopped herself, remembering that the older, “tougher” kids called their parents mom and dad. “My mom is out there. She might be in trouble… So could my dad.”
Kelly stood up, then leaned down to look at Robin with a small, reassuring smile. “Hey, we got this. We’ll bring them back.”
“Robin,” said Aaron, coming up behind the girl to pull her away from the others. He rested his hand on her shoulder and came down to her height, looking her in the eyes with seriousness in his.
“I can find her,” she said. “Daddy, too. They need our help.”
“They do,” agreed Aaron, though he didn’t want the girl to get her hopes up that her mother was still alive, since he wasn’t all that sure either. “But right now, it’s not safe out there. Your mom and dad would want you—”
His words stopped short when the familiar hum of a motorcycle came within earshot, getting louder as the revving vehicle approached the gates.
Robin recognized the sound, too, and froze as she looked towards the gate, hoping with every last ounce of her young optimism that on the back of that bike were her parents.
Sure enough, as the gates opened, Daryl rode in on his old bike, on the back of which was not you, but another familiar face—Lydia.
“Daddy!” cried Robin, dropping her spear in awe and rushing to her father, who’d jumped off his bike in a rush to greet her.
He had knelt down to hold her, her feet dangling off the ground as one hand tangled in her hair and the other rubbed her back.
The weight of his child in his arms was enough to bring him to tears, and whatever composure he had in him swiftly crumbled with the sound of Robin’s tear-soaked giggles as she snuggled her head into his neck.
“Where were you?” she asked, her small voice muffled against Daryl’s shirt.
He swallowed hard and held her tighter. What was there to say? He was looking for you, and he couldn’t lie, not to Robin, not now.
“I was… lookin’ for Momma,” he said.
As Robin opened her eyes, she made eye contact with Lydia.
“Where is she?” she asked with a sniffle.
He sighed as he pulled her away to look her in the eyes. There were already tears beginning to fall, not only in her eyes but in Daryl’s, too.
It felt like something was clutching his heart at the thought, the very notion that you were still out there, your fate still unknown unless he could find your body, one way or another.
The hurt was a hundred times worse than losing Rick, but he hadn’t allowed himself to feel the entire weight of it, not until he found you. If he let himself believe with his whole being that you were really gone, he wouldn’t have any fight left in him, not the fight needed to save the world you helped build, the world you deserved to be in. With him. With your family.
“She’s still in that cave, birdie,” he said, looking up now to meet Aaron’s eyes as he looked on. “But we’re gonna find ‘er. We’ll… we’ll bring ‘er home.” He brushed back the girl’s hair, and grimaced at her strained face as she tried to hold back her tears. “But right now,” he continued, “we gotta be brave, and fight… for her.”
Robin nodded, and in one last attempt to keep her composure, she threw herself back into Daryl’s arms, letting her tears flow into the crook of his neck as he held her.
Yumiko came up behind, eager to question Daryl about Connie and Magna.
“Any sign of them?” she asked.
Daryl stood up, keeping Robin’s shoulders in his hands. “We didn’t get that far,” he said.
“What do you mean?” asked Kelly. “What happened?”
“We gotta talk,” he replied.
“D, I’m sorry,” said Luke. “We gotta find our people, man.”
Lydia stepped forward, answering for Daryl now as he walked with Robin into the Barrington House (well, limped—his leg was still in desperate need of medical attention).
“No,” she said to them. “You can’t go out there. My mother’s coming.”
The herd moved slowly, as one might expect, so it was easy to keep up with them. At least, as long as you kept holding onto each other.
The sun would be going down soon, you knew, as it got closer and closer to settling below the horizon in the west. It would be harder to find Connie, now separated from you and Magna as you trudged along with the dead, making your way out of the mouth of that terrible cave.
It would be easier, however, to pass as one of the walkers. Though you were both covered in blood and gore from the Whisperers you’d massacred the night before as you fought tooth and nail in a frenzied haze to get out, there was always the chance that the walkers could discover your treachery.
That was why you couldn’t go after Connie once she’d been separated from the two of you—any sudden movements would’ve turned you all into an all-you-can-eat buffet for the rotten corpses all around you, bumping your shoulders and stepping on your feet as you walked mindlessly.
At some point, you really did think you were dead, too, until Magna nudged you, and leaned close to whisper in your ear.
“They’re definitely pushing towards Hilltop,” she said.
You nodded as you processed what was both good news and bad news, as the horde would safely, more or less, guide you to your people, but that also meant the herd was going to destroy Hilltop.
Still, there wasn’t much only two of you could do, especially not in your weakened state.
The blast had blown the three of you away from the epicenter of the disaster in the cave, but the cuts, bruises, and likely sprains from the event had put both of you in less than stellar shape to fight, and even if you could, there was no way to fight a herd this size with only two of you.
Certainly, you couldn’t even lead them away, not with the Whisperers controlling its movement.
“We should be there after nightfall,” you whispered back, all the while silently hoping the loud groans and snarls of the dead would drown out your voices. “Whatever happens, don’t let go.”
You squeezed her hand, which had been in yours for hours now as you walked.
“We don’t split up,” you added. “Stay together.”
Both of your hearts weighed heavily as you walked with the dead, hand-in-hand, waiting to be delivered to the final destination, where you only hoped you could be reunited with your people, and your family.
You knew it was likely that Daryl, Robin, and Aaron were at Hilltop now, preparing to fight the incoming herd. In truth, you hadn’t stopped thinking of them since you awoke in the ruins of the mineshaft.
The only solace in your trek, with these lost souls all around you, was knowing that Daryl and Aaron made it out safely. You had seen them all escape just before the cave collapsed, and that was all you needed to keep you going.
Magna had Yumiko, whom she still had to make amends with, and you had your family. If fortune favored you, maybe you would meet Connie there, too, and all of this wouldn’t be in vain.
Still, the worst wasn’t over, not by far, and you knew there would be loss before anyone could win.
The folks at the Hilltop knew that, too, as they gathered to discuss the next plan of action. There was some disagreement, with several Hilltop residents wanting to stay and fight, while others argued that the best course of action was to flee before the horde arrived.
“We have to go,” argued Lydia. “Even if you took out half the herd in that cave, she’s got thousands left. You can’t stay here.”
“The skins could march straight to Alexandria for all we know,” replied Earl, an ardent advocate for defending Hilltop.
“Yeah,” said Daryl, “we’re right in their way.”
“Maybe she goes around us,” Earl suggested.
Lydia spoke again, “She doesn’t need to go around you. She’ll just run through you.”
“I’m not running again,” argued Jerry. “Hell no.”
“Lydia’s right,” said Diane. “We can rebuild anywhere.”
“Come on, we can’t,” said Earl, whose eyes fixed on Aaron. He’d been quiet most of the meeting, hardly able to say anything without his voice becoming shaky. The apparent loss of his baby sister had caught up with him at a rather inopportune time, and he was less hopeful than Daryl and Robin that she could ever be found. “How many scouting missions you been on, son?” Earl asked the somber man. “Hundreds? Have you ever seen a place like Hilltop?”
Aaron was silent for a while, and looked to Daryl for the strength to speak. He only scoffed, and soon gathered the ability to speak one word: “No.”
Communities like Hilltop and Alexandria were hard to find, indeed. Still, they had been built once, they could be built again.
“We have a few dozen able-bodied fighters here,” said Yumiko. “Maybe. You like those odds? ‘Cause I don’t.”
“Neither do I,” agreed Aaron, speaking louder now. “No, we don’t have to die here.”
In truth, he didn’t want to die tonight because whatever hope he had of finding his sister was hanging in the balance, and if he didn’t live through this, there was no hope of him ever seeing you again at all. Not only that, but there were children at Hilltop—Gracie, Robin, Judith, RJ… Children who were part of his family.
“We’re going to have to fight,” insisted Earl. “And if we die, we die fighting for a place that means something. Can you think of a better way to go?”
“Yeah,” Aaron scoffed. “We go with my daughter and my niece’s life intact. And Judith’s, and Ezra’s… and Adam’s.” He gestured to Earl with the mention of his own adoptive son’s name. “You want me to keep going?”
Daryl didn’t let him keep going, opting instead to go into “leader mode,” as you would’ve called it.
“All right,” he said, “let’s get the kids out first. Everybody pack up, we’re going to Oceanside. Grab weapons, food, whatever you can. We’ll regroup there.”
Daryl volunteered to lead the group to Oceanside, just after getting barely patched up in the infirmary. Despite a limp and some bad cuts still in need of stitches, he helped the children into the covered wagon, to be taken to Oceanside.
He hoisted RJ, now wearing Daryl’s one-winged vest, as he’d taken a shine to it, Judith, and the other kids one by one into the safety of the wagon, Robin looking on and pouting at her father’s noticeable limp.
“Why are you walkin’ funny?” she asked, her head slightly tilted in curiosity, reminding him a little too much of her mother. “Did you get bit?”
He huffed and crouched to her eye level, holding her hand in his and mustering a small smile. “No,” he said. “I’m all right. Don’ worry, peanut.”
He raised his hands to pinch her cheeks, scrunching up her face in the process. Usually, she would’ve broken out into giggles at the gesture, but it was hard when so much seemed so wrong in her life.
“Hey,” he said, now noticing her sadness. He couldn’t even bother to ask what was wrong, as he knew what was wrong. It was wrong for him, too. It was all so terribly, terribly wrong. “Ya know everythin’s gonna turn out just fine. Whatever happens, I love you. More than anythin’.”
She nodded, and looked between him and the wagon. “Do I have to go?”
He tilted his head knowingly. “Yeah. It’s safer at Oceanside.”
“And you’re going to fight?”
“I dunno,” he said honestly. “We’ll regroup when we get there, but for now, all that matters is gettin’ you kids out.”
Reluctantly, after some more convincing, Robin boarded the wagon, and Daryl led the caravan towards Oceanside with the remaining light left in the afternoon.
Approaching a block in the road on his bike, with the wagons close behind, Daryl lowered the kickstand to investigate the wreckage.
It appeared to be a fallen tree, deliberately cut down for the exact purpose of blocking any escape routes. What’s more, hanging in the adjacent trees were scouts from Hilltop, sent out to inform the others of any horde activity. They were left hanging to reanimate, dangling and snarling as a kind of macabre warning to travelers.
“Felix and Penny,” said Diane, recognizing the Hilltop citizens.
Daryl, on the other hand, recognized the M.O., from many years ago, when Saviors were using the exact same technique. Putting together the pieces, Daryl realized the likelihood that Negan had concocted this plan, and the probability that Negan had fallen in with the Whisperers since his escape from Alexandria, which may have even been conducted by Whisperers, was high.
“All the roads are gonna be like this now,” he said. “We ain’t gettin’ through. It’s Negan. He’s with her now.”
Upon arrival at Hilltop, Daryl sent the children inside the Barrington House, as Aaron came out to confront Daryl about their return.
“What happened?” he asked.
“She blocked the roads,” he answered. “Means they’re closin’ in on us. If we had a window to get out, we just missed it.”
Silent panic settled in amongst the other citizens who had gathered, hearing the news that there was no way in Hell anyone was getting out, not before the horde came.
“But we can’t stay here,” said Kelly, her voice breaking in fear. “You said… You all said we can’t stay here.”
“We can—we can call Alexandria, right?” suggested Luke. “Call Alexandria, and they’ll get fresh fighters here, and—and… it’s not just gonna be us. It’s not gonna be just us, right?”
“Oceanside can’t get here,” said Diane. “Alexandria either. Not in time. Not after what happened. We’re on our own.”
It seemed now that the only option was to stand and fight, and that was exactly what Daryl was prepared to do, even if his heart was broken beyond any foreseeable repair, and his body was weak and still recovering from his injuries, he’d fight to the death to protect Robin, to preserve what you and he had already fought so hard for for the past ten years, to keep your memory alive, if he couldn’t keep you alive.
“Divvy up your arsenals,” said Earl. “We got catapults up on the walls. And a damn good militia.”
Aaron nodded vehemently, suddenly facing the reality that there was no way out, that before he could ever have a chance of finding you, he’d have to keep himself and the ones you and him both loved alive.
“Come on now, people!” Earl suddenly yelled, riling up the crowd of still hesitating Hilltop citizens. “Do whatever you need to get your heads on straight! This is gonna be the fight of our lives.”
Light began to fade as darkness threatened to conquer the world around him. He sat upon the same bench he once shared with Henry, scolding him for getting himself in trouble the night before.
Just before him were the graves of those who had been lost before, including Glenn and Abraham, as well as Jesus.
For a man who enjoyed his alone time, who often embraced solitude, he was starting to hate the silence. Every time he found himself alone with his thoughts, he envisioned the horrors of what you had gone through, what you might’ve still been going through down in that hellish cave.
If he could get that out of his mind, he’d start to feel the immense loneliness, the heartbreak of not having you with him, or of just knowing you were alive. As cliche as it sounds, for so many years, you really were his other half, the part of him he had always needed and had finally found, only to lose you in such a horrible way.
He found himself realizing that there was a strong possibility he’d never hold you in his arms again, he’d never feel your hair tickle his chin, or your delicate fingers trailing up and down his arms.
He’d never again wake up to your strange, muffled sleep-talking, he’d never listen in on you reading out loud to Robin, or come home to the smell of your tofu stir fry on the stove.
Gone were moments of vulnerability, in which he could break down and cry in front of you without feeling totally ashamed of himself. You were the only person in this world he trusted to see him in every delicate emotion, every nuance of his sensitivity that showed in his ever-changing moods.
There were secrets you took to that cave with you that even he didn’t know about himself, and there were still so many things he hadn’t been able to say to you before it happened.
Above all else, he lost the sole person who had shown him acceptance, forgiveness, kindness, compassion, unconditional love… Before you, his life was meaningless, in his mind. He recalled how you had always professed gratitude for how much he’d saved you, but no matter how many times he told you, your humility would never let you accept the fact that you had saved him first.
You took a chance on him, back at the quarry. You set aside your reservations to bring him and his brother, two complete strangers, to your people, all in the name of selflessness, of wanting to help people you barely knew survive.
It was selflessness that might’ve gotten you killed, and if he could turn you selfish for just one moment, when it was all happening, he would’ve, just to hold you in his arms again.
Thoughts of you were interrupted by the presence of Aaron, coming up from behind Daryl. He stopped in his tracks when he realized his brother-in-law was here, doing the same thing he came here to do—grieve.
“Sorry,” he said, clearing his throat and preparing to turn around. “I’ll leave you alone.”
Daryl flinched and turned back to call out to him. “You don’t have to,” he said. “I, uh… actually would rather not be alone.”
Aaron’s eyes widened at the admission. Never before had Daryl made himself seem so vulnerable in front of him. In fact, Aaron always saw Daryl as the toughest, most stoic man he knew, and he still was, but it was strange to hear him say such a thing.
Daryl usually liked being left alone, with the exception of you.
“You sure?” asked Aaron, slightly afraid that Daryl was more unstable than he let on, given he’d just lost his wife. “I can—”
“Told ya,” he said, looking at Aaron with that more familiar, harsh gaze. He really didn’t want to be alone.
Aaron nodded nervously, stepping forward to sit beside Daryl. The two men sat in silence for a while, Aaron sniffling as he tried to hold back tears, until he gathered the courage to speak.
“This… This can’t be easy for you.”
Daryl chewed his lip as he continued looking away from Aaron, focusing instead upon Glenn’s grave. It was easier than facing the man whose features resembled yours in slight, but noticeable, ways.
“It ain’t,” he replied. “It’s… It’s killin’ me. Thinkin’ of her out there, hurt… Scared… Or worse… I can’t—I can’t even think about that, though. Not that, not like that.”
It occurred to Aaron then that Daryl really couldn’t even bear the thought of you being dead, gone for good. Perhaps he was even in denial, like Robin.
Still, even if you were dead, Aaron wanted to find you, too. He needed to.
“It’s hard—hard for me, too,” he replied, opting not to reveal his concerns that you were, in fact, dead.
His voice cracked as he spoke, his emotions overwhelming him when the reality settled in once again. He held his head in his hands, gently sobbing as he recalled the last image he had of you, running back into the darkness to help Magna.
Tears fell from Daryl’s eyes, too, clouding his vision and causing him to let out strangled whimpers he only hoped Aaron couldn’t hear.
He wanted to maintain strength for everyone, as he always had, but the burden of your loss was too much to bear now. He couldn’t hold it in, and he couldn’t pretend that he hadn’t lost his true love, the most precious thing in his life besides his child.
“Aw, man,” sighed Aaron, wiping his nose on his sleeve as he sniffled. “We’re two big messes, huh?”
Daryl rubbed his eyes with his fists and shook his head. “Soon as this is over,” he began, “I’m goin’ back there. I’m bringin’ her back. Can’t… risk not knowin’.”
Aaron nodded, and raised his arm to pull Daryl closer to him.
Aaron’s arm around his shoulders, Daryl had never felt more like he had a real brother than he did now.
“Me neither,” he said. “She’s my little sister… Sh-she was… always the favorite, you know. For good reason. Everybody loved (Y/N).” He chuckled behind his tears, remembering how much of a golden child you were. “No one… loved her like you did, though.”
Daryl huffed as he tried to keep himself composed again. If he started sobbing now, he wouldn’t be able to get himself to stop, not before the herd came.
“People like her,” he said, his voice still shaky and uneven, threatening to crumble if he thought too long about what he’d lost, “only come along once in a lifetime… If she hadn’t found me, if I hadn’t found her, either I’d be a dickhead or dead.”
Aaron scoffed. “That’s not true. I mean, she believed in you, but you were always a good man. You just… hid it. She saw it. She had a way of doing that, seeing the good in people.”
Daryl nodded, and nervously rubbed his hands up and down his thighs, searching for some way to stop thinking about how much he blamed himself for losing you.
“Yeah, she did… I just… I feel like it’s my fault. Coulda done more, ya know? Coulda… kept her right by me, held ‘er hand, made her climb up ‘fore me.” His voice broke, as did his ability to keep the tears from falling. “I let (Y/N) down… I let… I let our little girl down.” He mustered the strength to look Aaron in the face, letting him see the tears as they fell down his reddened cheeks. “I let you down.”
Aaron shook his head. “Daryl,” he said, “the only way you could let any of us down is if you stopped fighting. (Y/N) always told me that you were what kept her going. Now, you’ve got to keep going for her, and Robin, and everyone else here. You know that, so stop thinking you could’ve done anything different. She knew you loved her, and that was all she really ever needed.”
Finding himself on the edge of crying again, he shook his head and raised to his feet, rubbing his nose and nodding towards Aaron in understanding.
“I loved her,” he said. “I do love her… Ain’t gonna change. Not ever.”
“I know,” Aaron replied. “I love her too. Always will.”
He felt out of sorts, almost disoriented as he walked towards the Barrington House where he knew Robin was. He’d told her to stay put with Judith and RJ, as they were all three essentially his wards now. There was still so much to say to little Robin, so much she didn’t understand about her mother’s sudden disappearance.
She knew of the incident at the cave from Aaron, and she knew that her mother didn’t come back with her father, but Daryl hadn’t even talked to her much about it yet, not what the whole thing meant. He had been dreading it, especially just before the inevitability of the horde coming their way, but if he didn’t tell her before everything happened, there was no way he could live with himself, if he lived after tonight at all.
Robin sat upon a loveseat in the main room, along with RJ and Judith. Upon their laps was what seemed to be Daryl’s vest, but Robin quickly threw the leather behind her on the back of the sofa, as if in an attempt to hide it from her father. Scattered about the coffee table was an assortment of art supplies that Judith began to clean up.
“Hey,” he said, mustering a small smile as he approached with a limp. “What’re y’all up to?”
“Just going to join the other kids,” replied Judith, pulling RJ’s hand as she spoke to Daryl. “Though I’d… really like to help fight.”
Daryl huffed and patted Judith’s head. Of course she wanted to fight, she was a precocious child with a great deal of skill with her sword, but there was no way he’d let a ten-year-old child fight an army of walkers. “I know you do,” he replied. “But it’s too dangerous. You go join the other kids.”
Robin hoisted herself from her seat to follow Judith and RJ, but was swiftly stopped when Daryl gently grabbed her shoulder.
“Hold up,” he said, and sat the girl back down upon the sofa, where he joined her with a grunt as he seated his sore, tired body. “Gotta talk to ya for a minute… ‘bout Momma.”
She tucked her knees into her chest and rested her chin upon them as she looked to her father with saddened eyes. “Uncle Aaron said she’s still in the cave.”
Daryl nodded. “She is,” he said. “What else did Uncle Aaron tell you?”
“He said you were outside still, trying to help Mommy… because no one knew if she could get out or not. He said there was an accident, and Mommy might be hurt in the cave… That’s why I wanted to go out and look for her today.”
Daryl’s lip quirked softly, touched by the child’s devotion to her mother. It reminded him a little of himself, how he had to be the one to find you, to bring you back. How he couldn’t let go of you, and couldn’t believe that you were gone for good. Even if you were, he needed to find you, but he wasn’t entirely sure Robin knew the reality of the situation, just as he wasn’t sure he could fully comprehend it beyond the grief he’d already been feeling.
When the reality hit him that he’d have to be straight with her, and would have to hear the words coming out of his own mouth, he turned serious, and cleared his throat before he spoke.
“Listen, birdie,” he began. “This is… This is hard for me to say, but you gotta know somethin’, and I gotta make sure you know it, just in case.” He lifted Robin’s chin and turned her face towards him, letting her know he was serious when she registered that look in his eyes, one she’d only seen once—when you and he informed her of the deaths of Henry, Bev, and the others about a year ago.
“Momma might not be comin’ back,” he said, the words cutting his tongue as each one croaked out after the last.
Silence settled in for a moment as he let the sentence float in the heavy air between father and daughter.
“Why?”
Of course, she knew what that might’ve meant. She knew of death, and she’d been exposed to it plenty of times in the past year, but the vagueness of that sentence made her wonder.
Daryl lowered his head, taking a deep breath before facing her again. “I’m goin’ out there to look for ‘er soon as I get the chance,” he said, “but I gotta let you know right now, before we know for sure, that…” He huffed, and swallowed back the lump in his throat. “That when we find her, she… might not be alive.”
Robin furrowed her brows and strained, unable to comprehend such a thing. It wasn’t so much that she couldn’t believe it, but that she simply couldn’t imagine a world without you, the woman with whom she had such a special bond, a motherly bond.
“I—I know,” she said, and sniffled before speaking in a shakier tone. “But we haven’t found her yet, so we don’t know for sure. Maybe she’s all right, maybe she’s with Magna and Connie, looking for a way out… Maybe they already got out.”
Daryl sighed, and tried to stop himself from going along with Robin, as those were the thoughts he was automatically moving towards.
“Yeah, maybe,” he said. “But I just want ya to know… there’s always the possibility that we may never see her again. It ain’t a good thought, I know, and I ain’t never gonna stop lookin’ for her, but we gotta keep that in mind, all right, hon?”
She nodded solemnly, and as she tried to wipe away her tears, she unfolded her legs and threw herself into Daryl’s arms, crying gently against his shoulder.
He was startled for a moment, but quickly wrapped his arms tight around her, holding her snug against him as he rubbed her back up and down.
His own tears began to fall again, though without the girl noticing. He always tried to maintain composure in front of her.
“I don’t want Momma to be gone forever,” she said through tears. “It’s not fair.”
“Nah,” he agreed. “Nah, it ain’t fair at all.” He turned his head to kiss her hair, and pulled her away just a bit to look her in the eye. She was trying to wipe away her own tears, and he only removed her hands from her cheeks. “It’s okay to cry,” he said.
Those were the words he’d wished someone had told him when he was her age.
“Are you crying?” she asked.
Daryl sniffled, and let a few tears fall without catching them before he answered. “Yeah, yeah I am… Been cryin’ a lot.”
“Mommy said you don’t like to let people see you cry.”
Daryl smiled sadly at that, hearing the words in your own voice.
“Depends on the people,” he said. “And the situation.”
Robin nestled her head back into Daryl’s chest once more. “Mommy’s still out there,” she said after a while. “We’ll find her. I’ll help.”
Daryl shut his eyes and sighed, clutching his daughter tighter at the idea of ever letting her outside.
He only hummed in response, and soon felt the little girl squirming in his embrace, looking up curiously at her father’s face, adorned with red cuts from his fight with Alpha.
“What happened?” She traced her index finger an inch or so away from the marks.
Daryl smiled a little, her concern reminding him so much of you.
“Got in some trouble,” he said.
“A fight?”
“Yeah,” he huffed, not liking to admit that to the child who looked up to him so. “Fought a bad person.”
Her eyes moved to his leg, where a rag was wrapped on the outside of his pants, just over the wound in his thigh.
“Is that why you’re walking funny?” she asked.
“Mhm.”
A sudden thought occurred to him just then, as he noticed the child was without her companion, the family dog.
“Hey,” he said, looking around as if he might jump out at any second, “where’s that dog?”
Robin’s face turned a little paler, remembering the terrible events of the night before in Alexandria.
“Oh,” she said. “He’s at home… He got hurt last night.”
Daryl’s heart dropped and his eyes widened. His mind was so concerned with so many things at once that he had forgotten Robin was in Alexandria during the Whisperer attack last night.
His eyes scanned Robin for injuries, though he knew whatever wounds she might’ve had would’ve been taken care of by a physician.
“You okay? Are you hurt? Anything bite ya or touch you?”
Robin swallowed hard, remembering the image of that Frankenstein’s monster of a man towering over her in her darkened room as she could only cower in fear.
“I’m fine,” she said. “Dog’s the one who got hurt. His leg is sprained… This… giant came inside our house.”
Daryl’s head felt like a hot air balloon at the mention of a “giant” inside his home. He knew it was Beta, that bastard he once believed he’d killed. Knowing he set foot inside his house was enough to boil his blood.
“H-he… He killed Emily.”
His fist clenched at that, and in the pit of his stomach, he felt sadness on behalf of you, the girl’s teacher and mentor. She was young, she didn’t deserve to die like that.
“Did he touch you?” he asked seriously. “Did he hurt you?”
“He threw Dog,” she said, sending a fresh wave of sadness and rage through his veins. “He tried to get me, but Dog got his leg. We got away.”
“But you’re all right?”
She nodded, but frowned at the memory, how helpless and small she felt.
“I was scared,” she admitted.
“I’d be scared, too,” he said. In truth, he was a little scared when he initially fought the man. It had been the most intense fight of his life, and he’d been in plenty of fights, even before the end of the world (a fact he was never proud of). “I’m sorry I wasn’t there.”
Robin shrugged. “You were trying to find Mommy… Mommy’s important.”
“Yeah,” he agreed. “She is. So are you.” He brushed her hair back behind her ear, and watched in delight as her lips curled into a small, sweet smile.
She may have had his nose, his eyes, and his hair, but she had your smile, not his. In her sadness, she had his frown, his downturned eyes, his pained grimace. In her anger, she had his glare, his flared nostrils, his furrowed brow.
In her happiness, she was you, soft and sweet. More beautiful and innocent than anything he’d ever known. Seeing that face, either on you or on his daughter, he felt like a child himself.
With a sudden burst of energy, Robin let out a small, “Oh!” before turning to take the vest she’d draped over the side of the sofa before Daryl could see it.
“Judith and RJ and me fixed your vest,” she said, delicately unfolding the leather garment in her lap. She was always so precise with her crafts. “Mommy’s always talking about how you need another wing, so we made you one.”
She lifted the vest with the back facing Daryl, and he laid eyes upon the old trusty vest, admiring the now restored right wing.
It seemed to be painted on, completely blue in hue but otherwise matching the shape of the original white wing on the left side. Along the wing’s border were tiny white stars, and all over it were the tiniest details in shading to give the wing an impressive level of depth.
“No way,” he said, his lips growing into a wide smile as he analyzed every detail in the painted angel wing, which had put so much new life into his old vest. There were so many memories imbued in that thing, and now there was one more, so precious and pure. “I love it.”
He grabbed the vest eagerly, like a child opening a Christmas present, and dramatically draped the garment over his shoulders before turning around and striking a lazy pose as he stood tall.
“How do I look?” he asked, and turned his head to see Robin out of the corner of his eye, smiling and trying to hold back a giggle at her father’s modeling.
“It looks good!” she exclaimed. “Now you’re a real angel.”
“Hm,” Daryl chuckled, but his smile soon turned serious as he remembered a discussion he’d had with Ezekiel just a while earlier: if Daryl didn’t make it out of the battle alive, or if he was nowhere to be found, Ezekiel would take Robin and the other children to safety at the agreed upon rendezvous point.
“There’s one other thing,” he said, lowering himself down to Robin’s height. “If during the fight, Ezekiel comes looking for you and the other kids, you go with him… Whether you know where I am or not. Okay?”
Robin turned serious, too, and lowered her head as she thought about his words. After a few moments, she still couldn’t answer, but could only dread the possibility of losing her father.
“Hey,” he said, catching her attention. “You gotta promise me.”
She lifted her head back up and nodded dutifully. “Promise.”
With a smile, he pulled her in for one last hug. “Good,” he said. “And I want you to keep that spear on ya.” He nudged his head towards the weapon as it leaned upon the wall. “Now go catch up with the other kids.”
She kissed his cheek, and sniffled once again before taking her spear in her hands.
“Love you, Daddy.”
(Y/N) would be so proud of her, he thought.
“Love you, too. So much.”

When you lose sleep over your newborn 👶
(Y/n’s P.O.V)
My ears were ringing as Noah had woken up for the fifth time tonight, and it was only 3am. I mean I was always warned about how much sleep I would lose with a newborn baby, but nothing would prepare me for this.
I took a huff, about to get up for the third time tonight, until I felt Chris get up before me.
“It’s ok babe, I got this, you catch up on some sleep. I know how tired you are” He said half asleep kissing my forehead, putting on his slippers, slipping away to our baby's nursery. Slowly feeling the sleep pulling at my eyes.
(Chris' P.O.V)
I watched Y/n fall asleep, her long eyelashes touching her cheeks. God I am so in love with her.
I walked out into the hallway, heading towards Noah's nursery hearing his cries start to die down.
“What’s got you up little man? Your momma needs sleep you know?” I said teasingly picking him up, his cries now subsided to whimpers as his tiny hand fisted my shirt. His head laying on my chest, as I shushed him padding around his room.
Y/n and I had decorated his room into Andy's room from Toy Story, with both of us loving Disney so much, it only made sense.
“bwuhbwhwh” Noah whimpered, his arms starting to thrash around, his mouth clearly trying to find a nipple.
“Sorry bud, dads got no milk in there for ya. But I do think your gorgeous mum pumped some for you before bed” I said chuckling pulling him away from my chest to hold him in front of me, before putting him back against me with his head overlooking my shoulder.
Walking down the stairs, I brought us into the kitchen holding him in my left arm as I got the milk before heating it up. Once it was done, setting Noah down into his seat, I sprayed a bit of milk onto my wrist checking the temperature before picking Noah up again.
Noah wasn’t able to fully support his head yet, so here I was holding the bottle for him, watching as his eyes curiously looked around my face while his tiny hands played with my fingers clasped around the bottle.
“Got me wrapped around your finger little man, both you and your momma that is. Don’t tell her that though, can’t have her knowing I can’t say no to either of you. I love you both so much” I cooed kissing his head, feeling his thin but growing hair.

Stepfather! Chris bonds with Y/n's kids
(Y/n's P.O.V)
I held my three year old daughter Lucy's hand as we walked towards Chris' house. Today was the first day they’d ever be meeting each other since Chris and I had started seeing each other 6 months ago; to be honest I was shitting bricks.
Lucy's father was a deadbeat who ran away when he found out I was pregnant after a stupid one night stand when I was 22, but at least I had my angel with me. I wouldn’t trade her for the world.
Chris despite having no kids, was so excited to meet Lucy, constantly asking about her and especially interested at her progress in kindergarten. I made myself smile at that thought.
“Ok Lucy, do you want to knock the door?” I asked her, watching as her tiny hand slapped the door twice. Dodger's barking filled our ears, listening as we heard Chris tell him to calm down and not to scare off Lucy.
The door opened, revealing Chris in a white tank top and grey sweatpants, the widest smile on his face as he looked at me then Lucy.
Bending down to Lucy’s height,
“Lucy say hi to Chris, and this is his dog dodger” I said holding her hand out to pet dodger who stood between Chris' legs.
Before Chris also bent down to Lucy's level, “Hey there Lucy, i’ve heard so much about you from your mom, do you want to come inside?” Chris said asking, his hands on his knees.
Lucy nodded, but did the unexpected, she held out her hand ushering for Chris to hold it. My heart warmed, seeing Chris look at me with widened eyes taking a hold of Lucy's hand and leading her into the house.
I followed behind them, with Chris leading her towards the living room. Lucy's favourite cartoons I had told him about were already set up on the TV. I chuckled lightly watching Lucy try to climb up onto the higher couch, before Chris had to lift her up.
Walking over I sat beside Chris, feeling one of his arms wrap around me, while his other hand was around Lucy. Surprisingly Lucy seemed to be adjusting to Chris' presence well.
I know this because, not even ten minutes later she had crawled her way into his lap. Making herself comfortable, sitting in between his legs while laying back against his chest. Chris looked at me, his eyes tearing up.
“Babe are you okay?” I said laughing, brushing away the stray tears.
“Yeah, I just, love her so much already. She’s like a mini you” He said kissing me softly grabbing my hand and holding it on his lap.
“mHmm” We heard making us pulling away, Lucy had started whimpering.
“What’s wrong Luce?” I said looking at her, without getting a reply she just pulled Chris and I's hands apart, then slotting her hand in with Chris' making me burst out in laughter.
Chris followed playing along with Lucy's games pushing me away from them both.
“He’s my daddy mommy, not yours” Lucy said, instantly catching Chris and I's attention, but in the best way possible.

interruptions, a post-game drabble
synopsis: sakusa's daughter hijacks the post-game interview, but nobody seems to mind. gosh, she's such a daddy's girl. no warnings, it's all fluff! featuring: dad!sakusa
"what are your thoughts regarding the upcoming season for the jackals? as one of the newest members of the team, how will you make yourself stand out amongst the other teammates?"
"the best thing about volleyball is that it's a team sport. there's six of us on the court, so it's not important that i stand out, but rather that i fit in. the jackals have great teambuildin-"
sakusa falters, stopping in the middle of his sentence. an uncharacteristic grin breaks out across his features, eyes frantically searching through the mass of people at the game.
interview long forgotten, a small voice breaks out again through the crowd. taking a few steps back from the camera crew, he squats down, arms spread wide.
little feet rush his way, the quick pitter-patter on the shiny gym floor makes his heart soar, "papa! papa, it's me! i'm here!"
a child comes into view, looking an awful lot like the outside hitter. her small body leaps into his own, hair and limbs flying everywhere.
"my baby!" kiyoomi coos, sweeping her into his strong arms, lifting her high above his head, her stubby legs kicking wildly. she squeals at the new height, sakusa finally bends his arms to plant a big kiss on her forehead.
tiny arms wrap around his neck, and sakusa positions his own arms under her legs to support her weight.
all attention is on them now, but neither of them seem to notice. they're caught in their own world. happy to be in her father's arms, she thrusts her chunky wrist into his face.
"look! they gave me a special bracelet! momma got one like me."
"mhmm, and what color is that?"
"it's, uhm," her eyebrows furrow, lips forming an adorable pout. suddenly, her eyes light up, "green!" she yells. pride explodes through sakusa's chest; his baby girl is so smart.
"and what about this?" he points to his jersey expectantly.
"black!"
"and this?" kiyoomi points to the lettering on the jersey.
"white!"
"good job, angel," he dips his head into the crevice of her neck, blowing raspberries on the soft skin, the hair of his head tickling her. she screams in laughter, stocky hands pushing his head away. he relents, the upturn of his lips never once wavers, "where's momma?"
he can almost see the cogs in her brain turning, "i..." she whips her head around, searching in all directions, "... i don't know."
"you lost momma?" kiyoomi feigns shock.
"sorry, papa. i thought she was behind me..." sheepishly, she hides her face in his neck, feeling shy.
"there you are!" another voice calls out. snapping the two out of their bubble, you march towards them, "i should've known you'd run over here. my troublemakers."
"my other baby," kiyoomi calls, becking you towards him and kissing your cheek, "did you catch the whole play?"
"almost all of it. we came a bit late because someone-" you pinch your daughter's cheek, she bats your hand away, giggling, "-had a hard time waking up this morning."
"i was tired!" even though there was no venom in your words, she defends herself. kiyoomi nods his head in understanding.
"she was tired." he agrees, a knowing smirk playing on your daughter's lips. such a daddy's girl.
"alright sleeping beauty," you playfully roll your eyes, "remember you're spending the day with papa, so behave yourself."
suddenly taking notice of the hello kitty backpack hung around your shoulders, sakusa slides it off you, swinging it on his open shoulder. noticing the worry in your eyes, sakusa places a hand on your arm.
"it'll be fine, y/n," his gentle tone soothes you, "we're going to have fun. right, baby?"
"yeah! fun!" she pumps her dumpling arms into the air.
"see? everything will be alright." he plants a kiss on your forehead, "go have fun with your girls."
"okay," you kiss your daughter goodbye, "but don't forget her inhaler!" you start walking away now, slow steps because you know you'll miss them.
"it's in the bag already."
"and her snacks are in the front pocket!"
"i know."
"gosh, her allergies! no peanuts!"
"she's my kid, too, you know. i remember her allergies."
"and absolutely no sweets before dinner!"
"...no promises."
"kiyoomi!"
"okay, okay, no sweets before dinner. i got it."
"fine. i love you both soo much," you send air kisses, your daughter eagerly receiving them.
"bye, momma!"
"bye, y/n!"
"i miss you already!" you call.
finally turning and leaving the gym, the top of your head disappears out of view.
"papa?"
"yes, baby?"
"i want ice cream."
"but momma said no sweets before dinner." he pokes her nose in reprimand.
"it is after dinner," it takes her entire hand to wrap around his finger, sakusa raises an eyebrow, "...yesterday's dinner," she finishes. he considers it for a moment, before nodding his head.
his baby girl is so smart.
he knows he shouldn't. he knows you told him not to, but now is the time to spoil her. eventually the day will come where she can buy her own ice cream and make her own dinner. the day will come that she'll brush her own hair and tie her own shoes. eventually the day will come that she won't need him anymore. he has to indulge her now that the moment is here, now that good memories are waiting to be made. how could he ever say no? looking into the eyes that resemble his own, he caves.
"i think you're 100% correct," he smooths her hair, "alright, let's go get ice cream." putting her down, still holding her hand, the duo stalk towards the entrance doors, debating on the flavors they'll chose.
the picture of kiyoomi slightly bent down, gently grasping the fragile hand of his daughter stays in the tabloids for weeks; everyone adores the sakusa family.

Harley’s Plea for Help: Chapter 2
Chapter 1
“How long do you think it’s gonna take before she decides to sneak out?” Nightwing asked over his comms, lazily leaning against the balcony railing in front of him with his head resting on one hand.
“Dude, I started sneaking out almost twenty minutes ago,” a girl’s voice made Nightwing squeak and turn around, to reveal a teenage girl leaning against the door that led to the balcony he was on. “I didn’t want to draw attention to myself by doing unnecessarily showy gymnastics down from my hotel room’s balcony, no matter how much fun that would be, so I just snuck out one of the hotel’s back exits. Then I looked up to admire the moon and saw you here, staking out what is clearly my suite, and decided to come pay you a visit.”
“How long have you been there? And how did you even get behind me? I hope you didn’t break and enter, that’s an actual lived-in apartment behind us right now,” Nightwing asked, turning around to analyze the daughter of Harley Quinn for the first time in person.
She looked just like in her pictures, of course. Jet black hair like her father’s, except it seemed to have a bluish shine in the light. And her eyes were definitely Harley’s— thank goodness for that —vibrant blue and clearly analyzing him with the same amount of intensity as his did her. He had to bite back a chuckle. In a turn of complete irony, she really did look like a Wayne kid. Fit all of Bruce’s usual criteria to be adopted. But she was tiny, even smaller than Harley’s lithe form. He, Bruce, and Tim were of the hypothesis that the exposure both her parents had to Ace Chemical’s vats of acid likely had an effect on her DNA that stunted her growth. Perhaps there were other effects that they wouldn’t be able to figure out until they got to know her better, too, though it was clear that her skin was a likely one. It wasn’t unnaturally pale like her parent’s after their acid dips but it was paler than normal for sure, just a shade or two shy of being paper white.
And he could see, now, what Harley meant when she referred to Marinette as a powerhouse. It wasn’t very noticeable in pictures, but up close Dick could see the carefully honed muscle of an acrobat curling over her otherwise slim build. Combined with the knowledge that Marinette had been taught at least some serious self defense from a young age, he could see how such a tiny package could be a remarkable threat when necessary.
Marinette grimaced as the other Batfam, who were all nearby staking out her room from different angles, dropped onto the large balcony with them.
“Uh, well. I didn’t break and enter, I rather not get off to a criminal-ly start on my first night in Gotham, you know? But I realized that even though I was able to figure out the exact room you were staking me out from, I realized as soon as I got into the first floor of the building that I had no idea how to actually get to you. So I just climbed the stairs all the way to the roof and scaled my way down to this balcony, and pretended I’ve been here for a while when really I was barely able to hear you ask when I was gonna sneak out. I’m still out of breath, actually,” she put a hand on her chest and sure enough her breathing was still slightly fast. But not enough to be worrying or even all that noticeable. Yet another piece of evidence to show that she was a very active individual and had resistance built up to physical activity.
“Yup,” Robin groused grumpily, crossing his arms. “With all that rambling, you couldn’t be anyone else’s child but Quinzel’s.”
Marinette’s face immediately flushed pink all the way to her ears. “I’m sorry! I’ve been trying so hard to quit that habit, too!” She grumbled a bit to herself, putting her face in her hands. They all chuckled at the display. Red Hood ambled over, draping his arm over her shoulders (he nearly had to bend in half to do it, the height difference was that bad).
“As adorable as your freak out is, why’d you even come up here anyway? There’s no way you’d scale down a ten-story building just to say hello.”
She let out a heavy sigh at that, slowly peeling her face out of her hands. “Yeah, I recognized you guys right away. And honestly, as much as Momma Harley would be super proud of me for managing to give an entire group of vigilantes the slip, she’d also ground me for life if she found out that I saw you guys and still snuck away even though she probably swallowed her pride and asked you guys to babysit me, right? Self preservation. Contrary to popular belief, I do actually have some.”
“Wait,” Red Robin held up a hand, brows clearly furrowed under his cowl. “You expected her to ask for our help?”
“Well,” she made a so-so motion with her hand. “I didn’t think of it beforehand, but it all clicked once I saw Nightwing. I know how much my mom is worried about me, especially since you-know-who broke out a few days ago. She is more than worried enough to ask you guys for help. Even if she does complain about you guys, a lot actually, she also has made it clear that she trusts you guys with the stuff that actually matters.
“‘You know who’?” Batman repeated, arms crossed. If Marinette squinted, she thought there might have been a grin on his lips. “Is that how you always refer to him?”
“What else am I gonna call him?” she asked, face going deadpan. “Sperm donor? Source of a large amount of my self doubt and depreciation? The prime reason I haven’t been able to see my mom in person more often over the years? Oh, I know! How about I just always refer to him as ‘that bastard I wanna punch,’? That sounds good!” she rolled her eyes sarcastically. “Only one person in this world has the right to be considered my father in any capacity, and it sure as hell isn’t him. Genetics notwithstanding.”
Red Hood straight up guffawed at that, landing several rough pats on her back that made the girl stumble a bit. “Yep, I like this one! But as fun as it would be to see you give that jackass a mean left hook, it’s better if he never finds out who you are or knows that you’re here,” the vigilante’s voice got dark and serious very quickly. “He doesn’t forget people he finds interesting easily, and if he ever finds out about the connection you have to him, he’ll be a constant threat in your life.”
“I know,” Marinette agreed with a nod. “And if this conversation was happening two years ago, I’d say that my mom’s concerns aren’t unfounded. That I am too easily emotionally compromised and despite my deep seated issues and hatred for that man, I couldn’t guarantee he would be unable to get to me.”
Batman straightened up, as did all of his sons around him. None of them had missed the ‘if’ there. Batman’s voice went from charmingly deep to it’s usual gruff grumble. “What changed in two years?”
They all watched as Marinette gulped, taking a deep breath as she stalled for time, looking out at the view on the balcony before seeming to steel herself and return her gaze to Batman’s. When she did, it was suddenly full of iron will.
“I didn’t lie when I told Mom that I came to visit her— but that isn’t the whole truth, either. If I just wanted to visit her in Gotham, I would have waited until I was eighteen like we agreed. But I can’t wait, Paris can’t keep going on like this. I entered that contest because it was the fastest way to see you. I didn’t know if I would win, but… I had to take the chance. There was no way I’d be able to get to Gotham behind my mom’s back otherwise.”
“What are you talking about?” Robin hissed, stepping up to his father’s side. “Paris has been silent. If anything were happening, we would have heard about it by now.”
“No, you wouldn’t,” Marinette corrected, never losing that ironclad look in her eyes. “Because a combination of magic and politics is keeping it quiet. No news about Paris’ situation is able to leave the city limits. Magic makes any non-native who leaves Paris think that everything they experienced was just a crazy dream. Natives won’t forget, but politics has all of us under very strict NDAs if we leave city boundaries, and all of our local news and social media is blocked from being accessed by anyone outside the city. But, I figured a little breaking of the rules wouldn’t exactly put a stain on my family’s reputation or anything, so,” she dug in her pocket and pulled out a thumb drive, holding it up for all of them to see. She swallowed again, but never stopped her eye contact with Batman. She held out the thumb drive.
“I came to Gotham to ask for your help. This sped things up, I didn’t expect to see you on my first night here, but two years in Hawkmoth’s Paris has really taught me how to roll with the punches. This,” she shook the thumb drive. “Holds videos of every fight since HawkMoth first showed up. It has all the information I’ve gathered over two years, tracks his movements and lists all his targets and— everything. But I’m not a detective, I’m a designer. I make clothes, I spar on the weekends, I am not good at getting evidence to prove that someone is a magic-abusing villain holding an entire city hostage.”
“We’re gonna need some details, Little Q,” Red Hood finally removes his arm from around her shoulders, instead crossing his arms and looking down at her sternly. “If your city has a villain holding it hostage, is anyone fighting him? And if you do have someone fighting him, why don’t you need our help, or why didn’t they call the Justice League? The JLE should be in Paris, right?”
Marinette snorted, face scrunching up in obvious distaste. “I’ll have to answer those a little out of order. First; the JLE was kicked out of Paris. They moved their headquarters to Italy about five years ago, I’m just surprised they apparently kept that secret from you,” she gestured to all of them, who indeed seemed very caught off guard by that tidbit. But Marinette just sighed and continued. “Though that’s a good thing, actually. We do have heroes, it started out as just a pair but it’s grown into a small team out of necessity. They didn’t call the Justice League because the last thing we need is any powered heroes coming in and making it worse— your league doesn’t have the best reputation for letting newer heroes take the lead even on their home turf, you know,” she pointed out, which made Batman shift a bit guiltily. He knew the JL was often a bit… heavy handed in their methods.
“What makes the situation so bad that you don’t want to bring experienced heroes into it?” Red Robin cut in, sounding as if the whole situation was a puzzle he was determined to sort out. Which, really, was exactly what Marinette had been counting on. She shot him a finger gun, grinning.
“That’s exactly the point! Hawkmoth uses a magical artifact, like I said— but this artifact can brainwash anybody who experiences even the slightest negative emotion. Sadness, anger, fear— anything negative. And it gives them powers, but puts them largely under his influence,” her expression twisted again, this time into a wry little grimace. “I guess you can say that my momma’s psychiatry background has secretly come in handy a lot over these past two years. And Hawkmoth is exactly why I try to tell Momma Harley to stop visiting me— I have worked my butt off to keep her from finding out about his attacks or getting Akumatized. Every time she shows up it gives me a heart attack!”
“Akumatized?”
Marinette waved a hand dismissively. “It’s the term used for when someone is turned into a super powered villain because of HawkMoth. The brainwashing— really it’s more similar to a straight up corruption. The person usually lacks their usual moral compass, and just seeks to soothe whatever set off their negative emotion in the first place. Usually, that means they seek a bloody revenge. And if someone who already has extensive training or extremely strong powers gets Akumatized, guess what?” She made jazz hands even though her face was deadpan. “Extra powers, or amplified ones, for the metas or superheroes who are Akumatized. And imagine what someone with, say, Batman’s level of experience could do if he had powers and no moral compass,” the silence that followed her words was deafening. She just nodded, knowing she had gotten her point across. “I’ve been working my butt off to stay positive, because if I’m Akumatized…” her shoulders fell, and she had to swallow a lump in her throat. “... I have no idea what I’d turn into, but if you take into consideration both my training and my family history… it’s really best if we never find out what kind of magic-powered supervillain I’d make.”
“So, let me get this straight,” Nightwing said after another long moment of silence for that to all sink in. He gestured at her with an open palm. “You’ve been dealing with a terrorist for two years who targets emotional vulnerability, you apparently have never been corrupted by this magic at least to present day, but your mother still worries about you being very emotionally fragile. And your heroes are not detectives, which is clearly what you need or you wouldn’t have asked us for our help.”
Marinette nodded. “I used to be very impressionable. At the start of all this, I was a huge people-pleaser. I got attached to new people in a matter of minutes. My mom always said I reminded her too much of herself— but two years of fighting off a guy trying to get into my head—“
“Wait,” Batman nearly barked, taking a step forward. “He’s been targeting you? You specifically?”
Marinette nodded grimly, mouth a straight line. “Not from the beginning, but this past year it’s been painfully obvious. He might be able to sense the strength of people’s emotions, and unfortunately I don’t exactly experience my emotions very… gently. All of my emotions tend to the much more intense side of the spectrum. If that’s true, then he might know that any negative emotion I feel will make an extremely strong Akuma. Either that, or he’s going by process of elimination. All of my friends, except for one, have been Akumatized already. So has my Papan and my grandmother. But it’s obvious when he’s targeting someone, I’ve felt him try to override my will on several occasions. But I can’t just repress all of my negative emotions forever, so consider us working against the clock right now. That thumb drive has all the details you need about our heroes, how exactly Hawkmoth’s powers work, and so on.”
“Do your heroes know you’re asking for our help?” Red Robin asked, gaze burning a figurative hole through Marinette’s face. “Better yet, if this drive has as much information as you say it does, how did you get it?”
Marinette handed the drive over to Batman, who finally took it and tucked it in his belt as she answered.
“Momma Harley might have a lot to say about your detective skills, but you are all still strangers to me. So consider this a test of your abilities— I expect that you will all go to extreme lengths to verify all of the information I gave you anyway. After all, I’m still the daughter of your most hated enemy. Right?” She met each of their gazes, one by one, with a challenging one of her own. “You’ll just have to figure out my connection to the heroes on your own. And how I got the information, too. It shouldn’t be too hard for the so-called world’s greatest detectives. And maybe this can double as a trust exercise. I fully expect you guys to scour through every inch of my past, and dig up everything you can on me. I encourage you to try to find everything you can, so that hopefully you can decide to trust me on your own once you have all the details laid out in front of you. By the way, for your own sanity? I’d start with reading about all of our heroes’ powers and abilities before you watch any footage of past attacks.”
Red hood rocked back on his heels, trading glances with the other vigilantes before they all shared a nod. Apparently having decided their course of action, Red Hood leaned down and hoisted Marinette up into a princess carry. All traces of her previous iron will melted away in favor of the high pitched squeal of surprise she gave, and once more she became an overly flustered teenager.
“Alright, little cutie. Let’s get you to your mom’s place before she and her crazy plant lady fiancé come hunting us down.”
“I can walk! I can freerun on my own! Mon dieu please let me down! Eeeeek!” She squealed again as Robin slapped a domino mask over her eyes and Red Hood wasted no time jumping over the balcony railing with her still in his arms. The fact that they were lowered down by a wire wrapped around Hood’s waist didn’t seem to take away any of the fright that came with a sudden drop over an eighth-story balcony.

A New Arrival
Based off the Yandere Family Idea and Bios that I’ve posted.
⚠[Warnings: Yandere behavior (minor), neglectful parenting, and possessive mindsets]⚠
A New Arrival
Remalda was fed up. She swore if she had to pretend to like another one of this child’s stupid drawings about ‘the perfect day’ she’d snap. Why couldn’t she be like her brother who was busy playing with his makeshift guillotine. Maybe it's because he’s older- I don’t know. She groans and runs a hand through her blonde hair, groaning. The incoming toddler holding her next drawing looks at her in dismay “Oh no, momma are you sleepy?” The little girl drops her drawing and runs to her room stepping past her brother to grab her fairy comforter, returning to her mother with it in tow. “You can rest now momma.” She says covering her mother the best she could with barely enough height to get on to the couch herself. Remalda takes the chance to avoid the child and pulls the covers up to her head. The little girl reached to fuss about her mother more but the call of her name had her running to the call.
“Yulia!! Come here!” In record time she arrives at the door of their shared room Michael stood with his Joker throw blanket tied around his neck. “Where’d you take your veil? I need the princess here for the execution.” He posed and showed the scene of the execution with the stuffed animals and dolls surrounding a tiny wooden guillotine with a collection Barbie propped on the head piece. “I don’t have it, I gave it to Mom. She needs it more than me right now.” Michael frowned at her, “You helped her?” He looked at her in disbelief, “What did I tell you about her? She doesn’t like you so you shouldn’t help her.” He reaches into his own closet. “S-she doesn’t l-like me?” Yulia began looking down, twiddling her fingers and curling her toes. Michael, still searching in his closet, continues,” Yeah. Don’t you remember when she left you at the park and Dad had to get you? The wretch did it on purpose.” He whispered that last bit but Yulia heard it. “What's a retd?”
Michael, finding what he looked for, turned back around with a white veil with floral accents, “It's wretch, and I got this from her too. Here you go.” He placed it on her head and guided her to his makeshift throne for her.
“Now Citizens-”
He was interrupted by the sound of the front door being opened and closed, cutting on and off the howling of the storm outside. Michael groaned as Yulia leaves her place to greet their dad but he follows right after, internally denying his happiness upon hearing his dad come home.
Yulia ran arms stretched asking to be held but immediately halted upon seeing a bundle in her father’s arms. Now joined by Michael and their mother from behind they huddled together in curiosity as their father walks in, setting his work case on the ground, taking off his shoes, to continue rocking and cooing at the dirty bundle.
“What is that?” Michael, saying what they were all thinking, stomps over and looks up indignantly at his white haired father until the man crouches down to his level to see. And when Michael laid eyes on the (s/t) baby he tried to wrap his arms around the bundle but his father only allowed it if he sat down. Settled on the couch he got to hold the baby as his father hovered his hand behind the baby’s head; the ladies crowded around him curiously.
He couldn’t take his eyes off of them and he couldn’t hide the blush of pure joy that crept on his face. He was enamored, he hadn’t felt this excited since Yulia’s birth and he was in love. A smile crept on his face as he saw Yulia gasping in her own excitement, murmuring of her dreams to have a baby.
“Spencer.” His wife called snapping him out of the trance the (h/c) baby held on him. His happy expression turned into one of bated breath and tight lips. “What.”
“You went and saved my baby,” she says, taking her baby from the excited clutches of her children. “from where may I ask?” He tensed watching as she caressed the fluffy cheeks of the baby who was quietly babbling. “They were on the ground. Near a dumpster.” He moved to grab the baby, ”I only took so long because I was trying to find their parents and ended up registering them under my name.” Remalda teasingly leaned her hips into her husband as she looked up at him with lidded eyes. “Is this your apology for your attempt to escape?”
Successfully grabbing the baby he moves back to the couch immediately being crowded by his children, distracting them from his piercing glare pointed at his wife. “No, I am not going to apologize to the one who is in the wrong. “ Remalda decides to ignore him and opts to speak to Michael who keeps trying to take the baby. “See the baby Michael? Wonder what their name is.” He ignores his mother, optimistically looking up at his father, “What's their name?” His father smiles.
“(Y/n). Their names (y/n)”

Broken-Style Remix: Yandere Mother Talia Al Ghul
Broken: When it comes to Yandere Mothers, Talia Al Ghul is one of my favorites; considering how obsessed she is with her baby daddy. Recently, I came into a Yandere Talia Al Ghul Image made by @anxiousnerdwritings & with their permission, I have been allowed to make this Broken-Style Remix! Now, let the words weave together!!!
@anxiousnerdwritings's version: LINK
SUBTITLE: THE ONE YOU THREW AWAY
Talia Al Ghul wanted things thing and would do anything to obtain those things - Complete Control & Undeniable Power. She was the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul - The Head Demon of the League of Assassin & Immortal Mad-Man, well...not anymore; now Talia was on the Throne as Head of the League of Assassins, but there was a time before everything went to hell. Talia always wanted to have power but she also wanted someone to share it with - that came in the form of the Protector of Gotham - The Masked Savior, Batman. Talia was entranced by his power and skill, he would have been a perfect partner to rule with if he wasn't so hesitant to kill but she could sculpt him to fit her mold one way or another but first she needed to get him on her side. Her father thought of him as the perfect heir but there was no way the protector would join him, so Talia planned and that plan was to give herself and Bruce an heir - the perfect combination of the two of them. However, a wrench was thrown into that plan when inside of one - there were two.
A Son & A Daughter.
A Son that mirrored his father in young as he would in adulthood, with the exception of the emerald eyes that Talia possessed - the eyes of an Al Ghul. He was given the name Damian.
Her daughter was another story: she grew to look just as Talia did in her youth but she had her father's calm blue eyes - the eyes of a protector. The eyes of a Wayne. The eyes of a savior, not a killer - she was flawed with those eyes. She was named Bellatrix - just as her father, she would be expected to be a great warrior.
When it was time to hone their skills, it was clear that they were the perfect combination of the Al Ghul and Wayne Genes - Damian more. He was the perfect killer, merciless and quick; he wouldn't give his enemies time to speak. No, enemies were too kind of a word to describe them - they were his prey while he was the hunter. He didn't care how many he had to cut down; he would never tire until all of them were dead at his feet.
Bellatrix - on the other hand - was a different story. It was clear she had the skills, it was obvious that she had the power, but the main issue was that she wouldn't finish the job; she lacked the most important trait of the Al Ghul Bloodline - she refused to kill. Talia feared this - she was just like her father and she didn't want weakness into the pain; especially since she was the eldest of the two. She either had to fix the problem or completely remove it.
And she would much prefer the latter.
Ra's loved his grandchildren all the same - he didn't care of Bellatrix didn't kill, he was pleased enough that she was able to complete impossible tasks alone and come back unscabbed. He would praise her and he would train with her in his free time - the two of them were fond of meditation to keep themselves centered.
"Remember Granddaughter: If you are completely centered then there is nothing you can't overcome. Knowing your center is knowing your true power." - That is what Ra's would tell her during those times.
As time passed on, Talia noticed that Bellatrix gained in power and knowledge every day while her son showed just how much of an Al Ghul he was every time he went on a mission, but that didn't matter to Talia - that girl...that mistake...was a single dot in the way of her son's rightful place as Head of The League & she had to something about it.
And she did.
One night - Talia told Bellatrix to accompany her to the desert for recon and the girl agreed, thinking it was going to be a mother-daughter experience. The two of them sourced their bounds but found nothing, Bellatrix looked around the dunes to see if there was something hiding in the desert's darkness until her body made her move and she dodged just in the next of time as a blade came in close contact with her throat. She reached for her sword, only for her hand to be grabbed, and turned it to her back. She was then grabbed from other directions before being kicked in the back of her knees and came to her knees in the sand. She struggled and looked at the cloaked figures that held her until she looked at her mother.
"Mother! Help!" She begged for her mother.
"Why would I do that," Talia walked over to her bound daughter as one of the assassins handed her a sword, "When it took me so long to get you here?" Talia looked into her daughter's eyes with emptiness.
"You...You planned this? Mother, why would you do this?" Bellatrix asked.
"This is something I should have done from the start, after all - My Beloved needs an heir, not a burden. You are a stain on the Al Ghul Name, an Al Ghul that refuses to kill is not an Al Ghul; hell, you aren't even an assassin. You're a defect, a flaw, a wrench in my plan to have my beloved rule behind me as King and Queen of the League of Assassins."
Bellatrix's eyes widened at the sight of her mother raising her sword.
"And all defects must be eliminated." Talia growled as her arm thrust forward - Bellatrix's eyes widened and her jaw locked to keep herself from screaming as the blade ripped through her chest and came out on the other side.
Talia lifted her foot - the other assassins released the girl - and kicked her to the dirt and watched her groan in pain before going limp in the cold desert night.
"Dispose of the body. I have to deliver the news that the heir has been killed and watch my one true child take his rightful place." Talia didn't give her daughter's body a second glance as she turned and walked away to her jet that was waiting for her.
She should have checked her vitals.
[Timeskip - Years Later]
Years had gone by but Talia still thinks back to the night she stuck her sword through her daughter's body and left her for dead; she was so certain that was what she wanted by there was something missing and for once in her life, it had nothing to do with her Beloved Bat. She tried to put those thoughts aside for she was on a mission.
After the death of her father, she found some research on a mind-control agent that she could use to have the one she wanted most but the League was too thin and most were doing other tasks while some were rebuilding the complex, thus the Head of the Demon Clan had to deal with it on her own, which she was fine with.
However, something felt different - she wasn't sure what it was...but she knew something was going to happen tonight.
Talia did what she had to do and secured to the agent before making her way back to the roof - only to have two people walking for her.
One was a tall man with a red helmet, a brown leather jacket, a gray Bat-Armor with a Red Bat Insignia on the chest; Talia could see the pistols and ammo belts around his waist.
The second was a feminine figure: She was around the same height as Damian, wearing Bat-Armor that looked a lot like a Ninja's outfit with a sword on her back and a dark blue Bat Insignia on her chest. Her hair was long and black but tied in a ponytail, except some hair that freely fell in her face and covered some of the ribbon eye mask around her eyes.
"I guess my beloved couldn't make it to see me?" Talia asked as she placed the agent in her pocket.
"We were the closest in the area so he sent us to what it was about - didn't think we'd find his batshit crazy baby-momma here." The Red Hood said as he folded his arms.
"Too bad, he might have convinced me to surrender but I don't have an issue with breaking children who stand in my way." Talia said.
"You never had an issue with killing them, why would you have an issue with breaking them?" The female said.
"What did you say?" Talia said as she looked at the female figure.
"You don't remember the child you killed? The blood of the Al Ghul you spilled? The child you detested because she wouldn't kill so you decided to kill her instead?" The female stepped forward and reached for her eye mask, "You don't remember my voice...Mother?" She pulled it off and Talia's eyes widened when they locked with the blue eyes of her late daughter - the one that was supposed to die. The stain in her plan.
"You lived? After all of these years, you dare come to face me again?" Talia narrowed her eyes.
"Rather cold to say to your kid who came back from the dead, Lady." He looked at Bellatrix, "Bat-Fang, you wanna deal with her while I wait on the old man?" He asked.
"You read my mind." Bellatrix stepped forward and pulled her sword out, "Arm yourself."
"I guess some stains are harder to wash out." Talia said as she pulled her sword out, "I'll make sure you don't come back."
Emerald and Sapphire locked with each other before the thunderclap of the coming storm sent them both into attack mode. Their blades clashed against each other as the two women danced in a deadly dance, Talia was focused but at the same time confused - how was Bellatrix this focused when the anger in her eyes was so strong? Talia tried harder and used more power but that was the opening Bellatrix needed.
Talia watched as the girl grabbed the sword with her left hand before delivering a swift but devastating kick to her gut, sending her skipping like a stone against the roof as she released the grip of her sword. Talia picked herself off the ground and glared at her eldest as the girl place her own sword back in its sheath and shatter Talia's into two halves, letting the shards and sword halves fall to her feet before she charged at her mother. Talia's guard went up as the two of them locked in a brawl.
'What is going on here? She was never this fast or ruthless! What is...'
Her thoughts were cut off as Bellatrix grabbed her foot and began to swing her until Bellatrix let her go and got stuck in a window. Talia opened her eyes from the impact just in time to see the glare on her daughter's face as she came soaring and her fist connected with Talia's face, sending them both into the abandoned building. Talia groaned from the pain but more pain was added when she felt her daughter grab her by her hair and pull her to her feet.
"What do you have to say now, Talia? Am I still defective?" Bellatrix asked before she punched the Assassin Leader in the face, making her crash into a crumbling wall.
"Am I still a flaw?" Bellatrix asked as she spartan-kicked Talia through the wall and into the living room, making the woman fall on her back.
"Am I still the wrench in your perfect plan? Am I?!" Bellatrix barked as she grabbed her mother by the next and punched her in the face, making her back hit a window. Talia's version was blurry from the pain but when it came together - her eyes widened at the murderous gaze in her eyes.
"Am I still not an Al Ghul?" Bellatrix punched her in the face again - sending the woman crashing through the window again but this time, she felt on a lower roof of a building just as another thunderclap echoed through the sky and the rain began to fall. Talia grunted at the pain but opened her eyes to watch her daughter jump out the window and walk over to her; glaring down at her with blue eyes.
"How... How did you survive?" She asked.
"You should have checked my vitals before you left me to die; once you were gone, I took care of the assassins that you had hold me. I'm not proud I shed their blood but I knew if I didn't, they were going to make sure I was dead." Bellatrix answered.
"You survived... You killed... And now, you have me helpless." Talia smiled at her, "I'm so proud of you, My Baby Girl." She cooed.
"What?" Bellatrix glared with confusion.
"You are everything I want in a perfect heir: You survived my trap, you killed those who held you captive, and you reduced me - the Leader of the League of Assassins - to this pitiful state. My darling, you are perfect." Talia smiled at her daughter.
"I don't know what you are thinking but I'm nothing like you want me to be and I never will be." Bellatrix reached down and took the mind-control agent from Talia before turning and walking away.
"You can walk away now, My Sweet Child, but know that I am coming for you. I will bring you home and you will be what you were born to me - The Perfect Al Ghul Heir. Run while you can, my dear, Mother is coming for you." Talia laughed at Bellatrix as the girl jumped off the small roof, leaving the woman alone.
Talia looked up at the rain in the sky and smiled before picking herself off the ground, touching the side of her lip, and looked at the blood - her blood - that her daughter spilled.
'It was a mistake to let you go but now that you are back, I shall have you once more and we shall be a family. You can't escape your blood, Bellatrix; you're an Al Ghul...and you belong to me.'
