Summary: Professor Remus Lupin and his partner spend a soft NYE evening within the walls of Hogwarts. Turns out being on a teacher night duty isn’t so bad when you’re your pupils’ favourite.

“You’ve got options,” you said, holding up two tea bags for him to see. “Which will it be, darling?”

Remus was sitting on the leather sofa of Gryffindor’s common room with his legs propped up on a wooden coffee table.

Unfortunately, Remus ended up being assigned for a New Year’s Eve teacher duty for Gryffindor. At first, you’d been quite disappointed by the fact that you and Remus couldn’t attend New Year’s Eve ball organized in your beloved restaurant in Hogsmeade. It was your annual tradition to go there ever since you were teenagers. The tradition started after Lily and James had found the restaurant – it wasn’t very popular amongst Hogwarts students since it’s on the fancier side. But after going there once you all made a promise to save some money throughout the year so that all of you could go there at least once a year for the New Year’s Eve party. Lily particularly loved the place for the delicious food. She hadn’t been able to stop raving about it for at least a couple of days back at school.  After their passing it felt mandatory for you and Moony to keep the tradition alive.

Even if it wasn’t for the teacher duty your plans would have changed anyway – full moon had fallen right after Christmas leaving Remus drained both physically and mentally. So, the change of plans kind of worked out for the better in a way. The idea of loud crowds and dancing was obviously out of the question. As much as you wanted to enjoy an evening out, you were glad to be with him in a way that didn’t push him beyond what he could handle.

Remus squinted across the room, clearly trying to see what you were holding up, but then he gave up with a small sigh. Leaning forward, he reached for his cane and slowly made his way towards you. The soft taps of the cane against the wooden floor were the only sound besides the crackle of the fireplace.

When he reached you, he stood for a moment, his head tilting as he scanned the options you held in your hands.

“Hmm,” he muttered, his lips quirking into a faint smile as he reached out. He plucked one of the tea bags from your hand, his fingers brushing against yours with a warmth that gave you butterflies.

“I’ll take this one.” He watched you as you carefully poured water into your mugs. You turned over your shoulder to shoo him away and make him settle on the sofa comfortably, careful not to spill the boiling hot water over yourself.

Just as you were about to hand him his mug, the portrait hole creaked open. The cold outer air mixed in with the warm, pine-scented air within the common room.

You turned your head, half-expecting it to be the Fat Lady herself popping in to complain about something. Instead, three familiar figures shuffled in, trying - and failing to move quietly.

Ron tripped, stumbling over the hem of his own robe.

“Shhh!” Hermione hissed, quickly grabbing his arm to steady him.

“I didn’t even say anything!” Ron whispered back, louder than necessary.

She sent him a deathly glare in response.

Harry, stuck in the middle, shot both of them an irritated look before glancing towards the sofa. His blue eyes widened when he spotted you and Remus, clearly realizing they weren’t as sneaky as they thought.

“Weee- we. Umm we-- weren’t expecting anyone to be up.” he said awkwardly, scratching the back of his head.

Remus raised an eyebrow, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

“Clearly…There’s nothing more subtle than tripping over your own feet, whisper-shouting, and holding the portrait hole open like you’re inviting Filch in for tea.”

You tried really hard not to laugh at your husband's remark. His quick wit was one of the main reasons why you fell for him in the first place.

Ron turned bright red.

“We weren’t doing anything! Just, uh, checking to see if—”

“You’re sneaking out." you interrupted, crossing your arms completely unable to hide the grin spreading across your face. Their shenanigans reminded you so much of yourself and the rest of marauders back in the day.

“No, we’re not!” Ron protested, which would’ve been more convincing if Hermione didn’t shoot him a sharp don’t-lie-to-a-teacher look.

“Alright, fine. WE ARE sneaking out…” Harry said. Honesty was the best approach in this situation.

“We just wanted to watch the fireworks over the lake. We’ll come right back, I promise.”

You exchanged a glance with Remus, who took a slow sip of his tea, clearly dragging out the suspense just to mess with them. You poked his side noticing Hermione’s pale face.

“Well,” he finally said, setting the mug down, “Fireworks over the lake, huh? Sounds nice."

“But let me guess — you haven’t thought this plan all the way through, have you?” Remus continued.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Ron asked defensively.

“We have!” Hermione said quickly, holding up a piece of fabric.

“We’ve got the invisibility cloak.”

Remus tilted his head, looking at the cloak with mock seriousness.

“And how, exactly, are you planning to fit all three of you under it?”

Ron looked down at his feet.

“It might be a liiiittle bit snug.” You shook your head.

“Remus, just let them go. If they get caught, they will have something funny to talk about.”

Remus sighed dramatically, but there was a twinkle in his eye.

“Fine. But,” he said, pointing a finger at them, “if you get caught, don’t come crying to me and professor Y/N.”

���Deal!” Harry said quickly, nudging Ron and Hermione back toward the portrait hole.

“Happy New Year!” Ron called over his shoulder.

“Don’t stay up too late professor Lupin — you’re looking a bit peaky! Good night professor Lupin II! Love you both!”

Remus chuckled, shaking his head.

The portrait closed, and you tucked yourself into his side.

“I swear to merlin that boy has absolutely no sense of self-preservation.”

He looked down to search through his pocket to grab his cigarette box and a lighter.

“We’re such pushovers for them.” You said laughing.

“Maybe so,” he admitted with a sincere smile.

He held out his cigarette box motioning to the balcony.

“Fancy a smoke ma’am?”

“Baaad, bad influence Lupin.“

He smirked, lighting his cigarette as he held the balcony door open for you.

“I’ve been called worse.”

You stepped out into the crisp night air, wrapping your arms around yourself.

“But ‘bad influence’ suits you tonight.” He lit your cigarette.

“Only on special occasions.” he said with a grin, blowing a stream of smoke.

“I can’t believe Ron called me ‘Professor Lupin II’.”

“See? You’re the second Lupin on the list. Maybe being soft isn’t so bad hun.“

You nudged him lightly with your elbow. He wrapped his arm around your waist and huffed with laughter into your hair.

In the distance, you could see the first flash of fireworks lighting up the sky over the lake, shimmering almost like falling stars, leaving a trail of glowing sparks that slowly disappeared into the night.

“Happy new year love.”

This SCREAMS GOJO. He’s so shameless—he’d get your name tattooed on his asscheek if you asked. He’d let you do it. He’d let it be Comic Sans for the meme. Not because he doesn’t take you seriously—quite the opposite, actually! His six eyes know he won’t ever regret this—he loves you so much and there’s hardly anything in the world he wouldn’t do to put a smile on your face even if it’s dumb. But really, tell him to be for real—suggest along his bicep in a pretty script font and consider it done <3

SUKUNA’S probably going to do this under one condition—he gets to mark you as his too, and this does not necessarily mean you also get a tattoo. But let’s say you do! I think he wants yours between your tits on your sternum running vertical, and he’ll probably get his in the exact same place—exact same font, exact same color. . .there, or down his spine, or if he’s feeling especially soft the day of the appointment, across his Achilles tendon, for obvious reasons—don’t make him say it.

If this screams anyone else on this list, it’s TOJI. He won’t even hesitate; he’s not exactly the most responsible guy around, but you like him, and he thinks you’re perfect—why the hell shouldn’t he have your name wrapped around his upper arm like a cuff, especially if it means your eyes light up and you flash him that gorgeous smile? I can see NANAMI doing this a few years into marriage, maybe, but doing it nonetheless. Look at him—he’s the dictionary definition of a keeper, and this is hardly any different to him than never taking off his wedding ring (and believe me, once you’ve got him on lock I mean he never takes it off). Matching ones would be especially alluring to him—you’re his one and only, and he hardly gives a thin and subtle sans-serif tattoo of your name on his upper thigh a second thought. This may or may not be me pushing my tattooed CHUUYA agenda but whatever. I think he’d be SO down for this. He’d probably make a little date out of it—drive you to the nicest tattoo shop in Yokohama under the guise of wanting to pay for whatever piece you want on yourself—tattoo or piercing—and sit patiently while you get it done, and then ‘decide last-minute’ that he’ll get one too, what the hell, and tell you not to look until it’s finished. TACHIHARA is so grounded in what he loves. I’m 100% willing to bet he has a tattoo for his brother. Your name, too, tattooed on the outside of his shoulder, is like a badge of honor to him—everything he does, he does with you in mind. His only regret is how every uniform he wears covers it; he truly would’ve gotten it on his neck just above his shirt collar or on the back of his hand if it wouldn’t make him so easily identifiable. I can see him liking a traditional calligraphy font—only the prettiest for the love of his life <3

Funny how the man who knows nothing he desires can be permanent gets your name tatted on him. I think the prospect of having your name in his skin forever is just so hot, so romantic to DAZAI—there’s poetry in it however your relationship ends up unfolding. He knows he’s in love with you. I include NIKOLAI in every one of my unhinged headcanons but I just can’t see him being anything less than ENTHUSIASTIC TO BOOT in a relationship. He is all in! You put up with his crazy, you drive away his sadness, you hold him so sweetly—the way you love him truly makes him feel on top of the world. And in true Nikolai fashion, I think he has your name in a font of your choice tatted right over his heart. Kiss it, bite it, trace it, lick it—he loves letting you know he’s all yours <3

Take responsability for your own mistakes and actions. Instead of continuing your abusive behavior and try to make a villain out of Nicola, out of Luke, or both, admit to yourself that you were the ones who put meanings where there were none.

And that wasn't even necessary, nobody has to tell people, when they talk about a friend, that he or she is just friends, you just say this person is my friend. But even after that, you decided to ignore it.

You manipulated every gesture of friendship and the love of a friend to create your world of fantasies. You edited videos, pictures to paint a picture that didn't exist.

You decided to believe the traditional Irish rings she told it wasn't about any man was about one. That her shirt for a charity was his. That music shared was about him. That memes or fun videos were about them and you created hurt and pain where the was none. They never said that. They never indicated it was. You decided.

You decided to lie to yourself that his girlfriend was not part of his life anymore and never meant anything. You decided to even doubt the words of his mother. And your own eyes when GQ event happened, LA, Spain and Italy happened. You decided to dismiss her with him, videos and pictures. You harassed people with any fanaccs about seeing them together and ignored her being called his girlfriend, something he never denied.

You, in the arrogance of your ignorance, decided someone's sexuality, to fit your narrative. You decided to lie to people and to yourself about why they are together, you created justifications, you denied for her what she has not denied herself. You decided that it doesn't mean anything, even after so many actual evidences on the contrary.

You decided to ignore the obvious and factual because you don't want the reality. You want the fantasy and your want power over those people's lives because of your shipping dreams. It makes you cruel, makes you entitled, makes you hate them for the crumbs and morsels that you created, that you decided to put a meaning on and say they did that. You decided to get nasty, attacking looks, age and characters, being awful about them when they are not following the script you wrote.

You manipulated everything in their words, their actions and their lives to fit your own desires, your own agenda, feed your own narrative. People that have never, ever told you they were anything but friends, and you dare to act like you were played or manipulated?

You did that. You don't have the right to pretend you didn't. We watched you do that for months, from lying about them being somewhere with their partners and why, to elaborated NDAs and blackmail plots, to gross pregnancy speculations. YOU HAVE DONE IT.

Now, WE, the sane and respectful people of this cursed fandom, decide you don't get to play your little games, you don't get to pretend the fault is not yours and your inability to be happy for people whose only sin was having chemistry and entertain you, bring you joy. You will not be allowed to turn this into a hateful, vile web of lies to cover up your own mistakes and behavior. Behavior that was naive for some, but plain disgusting for others, who actively made people believe in things they clearly could see it was not real and would hurt real human beings. Who led hatred and harassment to Nicola and Luke doorsteps - also to their loved ones- and now, in the last stand of cowardice, you have the nerve to shift your actions, beliefs and assumptions into an attempt to bring more hate and blame anyone but yourself.

You either correct your own mistakes, admit to your nonsense, and enjoy reality, or leave it, if reality is not interesting to you, or you continue this abusive, intrusive and ridiculous conduct, embracing the role you so badly want to paint them as: the villains. You decide to continue to hurt them for nothing but your own broken decisions.

Okay, I'm going to say something because I've been seeing the fandom crapping on Hinata for being a housewife since the end of Naruto and it just doesn't sit well at all with me, so before saying anything just to clarify, Hinata isn't even among my top ten favorite characters so I'm absolutely neutral here but I keep seeing memes like this

And jokes being made about her and that "eVeRYoNe iN hEr gENeRaTioN iS dOiNg imPoRtAnT jOBs wHiLe sHe's mObBiNg aNd cLeAniNg" and stuff and like, I don't understand what's wrong with being a housewife?!!! What's wrong with choosing the life that you actually want? If someone feels like their kids and house is their priority and that they want to dedicate their life to it, then good for them! Good for them for knowing what they want and going for it, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that!. Hinata was told since she was born that she's the Hyuga clan's heiress who's expected to train and be a strong ninja so she can lead her clan after her father, just because she happened to be born as his eldest child and she had to live through the constant disappointment of her father her entire life and yet when she grew up, she went against all of that and actually chose what she wants for her life not what was expected of her, despite the pressure of her clan and father and traditions, at the end she chose to do what she wants for her life not what they wanted her to be, and that actually imho makes incredibly strong because strength is not just about muscles or super alien ninja powers, it takes a lot of courage and strength to go against your society/clan/family and do what you know is right for you not what they think you were born to be. And you know what? Domestic work is still important hard work and having a job doesn't make anyone more superior than a full-time Stay-at-home parent who doesn't always have the luxury of having weekends, days off and annual leaves or sick leaves, who can't just take a break and abandon their responsibilities no matter how tired or sick they are.

The kids are finally here, yay. I promised I'd show you them, and I finally stopped being an asshole and followed through. Almost got 200 followers and I'm very grateful for it - really, I'm nobody. I'm just some clown who says dumb stuff and makes dumb memes and writes cringey stories, and yet I convinced almost 200 people to tune in. Thank you all so much, users on here and anons in my inbox alike. As a token of appreciation, you can all endure my rambling about my OCs and witness a person in their early 20s draw like a 12 year old.

The boy is Pepper Jack (or Pepper Jack Cookie). He's the firstborn and older than his sister by a few years. He takes after his mother in a lot of ways, primarily in her appearance (save for nabbing his father's red eyes). He's incredibly bright (and a smartass lol), preferring to think his way out of conflict rather than fight his way out... not that he's above violence at all, if that glaive doesn't give it away lol. He harbors a deep sense of love and loyalty towards his family and his peoples, and carries the weight of his responsibilities and heritage with as much confidence and poise as he can muster. (There are/will be times where he stumbles, of course. He's not perfect. He struggles a lot more than he lets on, really. But he tries his best, for everyone's sake.)

The girl is Matar Paneer (or Matar Paneer Cookie). Again, she's the younger one by a few years. She was all but made in her father's image, save for inheriting her mother's eyes. She's a little firecracker: lively and fun-loving and stubborn as a mule. She doesn't ask "can I have/do this thing", she tells you "I'm going to have/do this thing". Golden is proud as anything to see her daughter be so greedy... until that greed comes into conflict with her and Spice's authority lol. But she's a good kid, despite being such a handful. She has an enormous heart and is not afraid to stand up for others/what's right, and she loves her parents and brother more than anything in the world. She might doubt her own capabilities, she might secretly fear that she's not strong enough to do what she needs to... but she keeps pushing anyway, because she'd honestly choose death over quitting.

Your eyes are not deceiving you, Pepper Jack's wings are blue lol. There's an actual reason for that. And that USO (Unidentified Sitting Object) in Matar Paneer's hair is a lotus (the cheese one in the GCK decor set lol). There's a reason for that, too. I thought it would be cool to give Jack a glaive and swap out the normal blade for that of a khopesh sword (glaives are not Egyptian, they only saw use in Asia and Europe, but I just HAD to give him a glaive), to add that Egyptian touch. Paneer's supposed to be wearing a pattu pavadai, it's a traditional Indian dress for young girls. It's a blouse plus a skirt. She's holding katar, Indian knives (Cilantro Cobra has them, too). And her hair's supposed to be in a low ponytail.

Merchant thinks that if they explain what their terrible drawings are supposed to convey, people will understand their intended vision and the pain will stop

I sat down and did research into both Egyptian and Hindu mythology for the sake of drawing inspiration for them both. I'll explain in detail in another post, but basically: both of them take after one Egyptian god and one Hindu god each. Golden takes after Ra and Spice takes after Shiva, so I figured I'd follow along that line.

Please flood my inbox with questions about them now. I've really been dying to talk about them for ages now. I've drafted extensive character sheets for them both, I even made up in-game descriptions for them lol. They're my little fankid blorbos and I love them :') I hope you all come to love them, too

(Also, I'm sorry they're on lined paper. I'm visiting family rn and that's the only paper my grandmother has in her house. Poor Percy has lost his voice more than once desperately trying to defend Calypso

Hermes kids have not known peace. They've all had to lean into the memes for their own sanity

The entirety of Athena cabin cried together after the release of the Wisdom Saga.

Annabeth slept in Percy's cabin the same day and no one called her out on it.

So this meme about “spinster originally being a word for a woman so good at weaving she was financially independent” seems to have made it into pretty much every group I follow, so after the best part of a week biting my hands not correcting it so as not to undercut the broader point, I’ve now been *forced* to correct it (badly) and write a screed of additional context just for my own sanity.

“Spinster” is indeed a word for women who became financially independent through the cloth and garment-making trade, but by SPINNING, ie making thread from fibres, rather than by WEAVING, which is making cloth out of thread. You can tell by the title being SPINster, not WEAVEster!

The “-ster” suffix indicates that the title is feminine; you can see it in other surnames like “sangster” and “brewster”.

This actually points to one of the traditional points about female-dominated practices; while weaving within the household to make cloth for members of the household was traditionally almost entirely done by women in the house, when weaving became a well-paid trade regulated by guilds, men began doing it and rapidly pushed out the women weavesters or websters who had started the profession and originally trained most of the male weavers.

This never happened with spinsters because spinning was never as lucrative as weaving and thus it never became a guild-regulated profession; it remained a trade women in the household practiced to supplement household income.

Single women could habitually manage to support themselves on their earnings from it, including single women living in lodgings in urban centres as well as single women living in their own cottages in rural places, which was incredibly valuable to them.

This points to one of the ways trade unions, the more modern and proletarian-focused version of guilds, are not *simply by their existence* a solution for worker liberation. Trade unions, like guilds, have frequently enforced societal misogyny by favouring male and male-read workers over female and female-read workers, often actively undercutting the needs of female and female-read workers, because of the societal trope that “men were supporting a family” and “women were working for pocket money”. this kept on applying even when many female and female-read workers were primary wage earners.

Men, especially cis men, in trade union spaces have a responsibility to keep your union intersectionally-aware and actively seek female and nonbinary delegates, officers and activists to fill roles.

As everyone who is privileged in any axis - male, white, cishet, abled - has a responsibility to actively seek representation from marginalised folk, and to actively canvas marginalised folk you represent to make sure you are fighting for needs you may not perceive. It’s easily possible for instruments of liberation to end up marginalising and oppressing marginalised folks unless there is an ongoing commitment to inclusive and liberating practice in them.

Saw a post about how you need to read original fiction and not just fic to write books, and I had some thoughts but they're not so much a direct response so I figured I'd make my own post ...

You do need to be conversant with original fiction to write it, but also - that doesn't mean that your fiction diet as you write needs to be primarily original fiction. If you want to write a book, you've probably spent a lot of your life reading original fiction even if you're in fandom now. That all counts. (Assuming what you want to write bears at least some resemblance to what you've read.)

Fanfiction really doesn't teach you to develop characters and settings on your own, it's true. It particularly lets you be lazy about not describing them physically, and not having to do any work for walk-on characters who exist in canon. You also can get used to writing romantic short stories that would be completely unmarketable if they were not fic.

However, fanfiction still can teach you a lot of transferable skills, if you want it to. You can write novels to stretch your ability to plot a longform story and follow through on 60k+ words. You can consciously work to improve your prose, your pacing, and/or your physical/emotional descriptions no matter what your subject matter. You can write a story that focuses on how a character changes and develops, and you can focus on a minor character from canon and do the work to make them three-dimensional. If you're into AUs, you can also work on worldbuilding or writing a believable historical setting. Literally the only thing you don't really have the opportunity to do is create your own main characters from scratch.

And I feel like that's actually the easiest part of writing. Sitting down and writing a story that lasts over 80k words or so, is compelling all the way through, has defined character arcs, etc. is way harder than making up the initial concept. If you're in fandom, you clearly Do Stories whether they're on the paper or onscreen, and so you probably have a lot of character types in your head already to start messing around with.

There was also a point in the post about how if you don't read you're not going to understand where your story fits genre-wise, and you're probably going to think that it's new and genre-breaking when it isn't - and that leads me to two thoughts. One is that not feeling able to place your own story if it crosses genres might be more common to writers than you think: it just came up in a Bestseller Experiment podcast ep I listened to the other day as a normal thing due to the writer being too close to their story. I have good comps for my novel (there's a T. Kingfisher that is incredibly similar in concept and key characters) and I still feel like "oooh ... is it more fantasy or more historical ..."

The other is that fic makes it so you're more likely to actually write something that genuinely doesn't quite fit in the boxes. That's something I've been thinking about since Winter's Orbit. That book, if you don't know, was originally written on fail_fandomanon's spinoff writing meme and posted on AO3. It was always original fiction, but it has a fic-like sensibility: there's a strong political intrigue plot alongside a strong queer romance plot between a playboy who's not really a playboy and a smol bean with trauma. If you read the GoodReads reviews from when it was published, you can find many sf fans complaining that the romance takes up too much space and romance fans complaining that there's too much plot outside the romance. I think now with the rise of "romantasy" there's more tolerance for that, but that label feels like it's getting less useful as it broadens to mean "fiction written by a woman that includes a romance" (and it feels very m/f to me but we don't have time for that now). Because so much of ficwriting fandom focuses on stories that heavily foreground romance but don't hit the traditional romance beats and also writing the characters figuring out who's committing industrial espionage or whatever. In a romance novel, the romance is absolutely the A plot and the whatever is very much B plot (if not somehow C). In sf/f and thrillers, the whatever is the A plot and the romance is around the edges. Fic teaches us to do them both equally, because the point of the story is to see the characters getting together (often not like canon, when it comes to m/m and f/f) while having a plot to deal with (like they have in canon). Also, in a lot of cases of genre-mixing, determining which one it "counts as" is really determining which one it will sell better under, and that's not something a person outside of the industry can generally tell, regardless of what they're reading on their own.

beautiful year for adachi rei & teto enjoyers in my opinion... tetos synthv release really caused such a huge uptick in teto originals & rei is still riding off of that heat abnormal high lol its been wonderful to witness

i promise you i'm surprised only one project voltage song made the list too! i guess i really only enjoyed inabakumori's song. jin's song is in here in spirit too (trans miku + eevee... perfection) but ultimately i'm not the hugest fan of the song itself (it is sooo cute though)

iyowa really knocked it out of the ballpark earlier this year with babel & actress those are both soooo so so good. actress in of itself is just a really well executed narrative whereas babel is such a clever song celebrating teto's synthv release (it being a duet between her synthv & utau banks, her drills quite literally as an inverted tower of babel, babel because her synthv bank allows her to sing in multiple languages... a slight copycat of a cynosure madonna!!!)

but mannn synthv releasing Both teto & gumi banks this year, not to mention the kafu announcement??? insane. its like a vocalsynth monopoly up in here

RAMBLING SECTION SOLELY FOR AKOTOBA: what a lovely lovely lovely song. part of its charm for me is the fact that, being a haraguchi song, you go into it expecting it to veer wildly off course or incorporate some sort of bizzare musical twist; but the twist is that there is no twist! its instead just this really pure & beautiful build up to a vibrant & joyful chorus, no tricks. its so celebratory sounding!! & i find it charming how its still obviously a haraguchi song, complete with his signature strangeness (the scream sfx), but tempered into something sooo sweet. the proseka note haraguchi wrote for the song too really melts my heart; i know it was meant to be somewhat humorous but i find something so so so beautiful in the concept of a song made for the first time in a world where music has all but virtually disappeared... im glad that miku + teto + haraguchi are all still alive and well in the year 3023 lol. genius move to have the title be a play on ai kotoba too. genuinely cannot help but break into a wide smile whenever i listen to this song

now with all my praise for haraguchi out of the way, my actual favorite producer of this year has to be.... yukuewat! i found them beginning of january and have been in love ever since. my favorite songs of theirs weren't released in 2023, so they make scant appearances on this list, but they were one of the producers i listened to the most this past year! their tuning is perfection to me, i feel like they occupy this really intrinsic-to-vocalsynth niche where their tuning is both robotic AND emotional; having all the harsh consonants and precisce diction you can only get from a vocalsynth but arrested with emotions that feel organic, despite sounding distinctly nonhuman. that is what vocalsynth is all about to me!!! not to mention their style is both addictively catchy & unique, i don't think i can name another musician off the top of my head who makes music like they do. theyre a huge huge favorite of mine, and with their gradually rising popularity, i hope more ppl come to recognize them soon!!!

and with all that said too, apparently according to youtube music my top artist for 2023 was not yukuewat but asanuko!!! i guess i listened to the speaker song more than i realized lol

What do you think some social media accounts look like for some of the actors?

Bc regulus definitely just. Posts memes and that's all 😭

Imagine X's is like, a chemistry/robotics social media because he's a nerd but from time to time he puts out scientific memes. He's the kind to just use social media for the purpose of sharing his inventions.

Same with Voyager who posts videos about Violins without a single word being spoken. She just posts herself playing the violin, explains a couple things with text and yea that's it. She's very famous for her unique way of acting, which is literally just staring while text appears.

Blonney and Sweetheart are more like celebrities, they handle their accounts very carefully and post only what's necessary

Meanwhile there's 37 and her long and public collection of mathematic videos and mathematic memes to share with the world. Should she? No. Will she? Yeah.

Eternity, Ms. Newbabel and Bessmert are purely work related, they post nothing about themselves, just work and business which helps sell. They're famous actresses and also business women (Bessmert is a hc, she probably runs a fashion shop that's very famous and that's how her husband got into the R1999 backstage crew)

Then there's Vertin, Vert and Regulus or as we all know them, the sillies. They post memes 24/7 of funny backstage images.

Isolde does use her social media that much since she's more of a traditional person, she just watches a couple videos but doesn't do much with her social media aside from following her brother and Klara. Theophil uses it for art, his Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr (yeah he probably has one) are FILLED with request about the show but he also takes commissions. Trista doesn't use social media because not only is she young but she's evil, she's a menace.

Mercuria is the kind to just post about her gfs or her tarot predictions and divinations. Her old content was about making weed brownies but now she's making meditations and stuff. Yeah, we all thank Matilda for that.

Speaking of the duckling, she uses her social media to post pictures. I hc she wants to be a photographer so she posts a lot of pictures she took, lately she's been receiving some help from Click so her pictures are more professional. She sneaks in one or two pictures about her gfs under the pretense of practice. She probably doesn't use TikTok, just for following Mercuria.

Kanjira doesn't use hers as much. She doesn't post much aside from like, a picture of something she liked once a month and just follows her friends. She's not an avid poster or someone who likes messing around on the internet.

Kakania? She advertises her father's mirror company and her own career. She takes a professional approach to social media but once in a while she will post a picture of her friends. Marcus, Isolde, Theophil and Greta are seen very often since they share the same season. Pain it is to see "Taking coffee with my friend Isolde!" In her posts.

Sonetto doesn't post either, she's probably very centered in her studies, just like Melania and Bkornblume. Schneider manages her account for her, which includes pictures of herself, Sonetto and a couple videos and announcements on her own career. Not much.

Mesmer Jr doesn't have one altogether, she shares account with Vertin just to see some things but doesn't plan on making her own.

Jessica's social media is her Xbox account. She just uses her phone to play and let's Blonney manage her social media accounts, she only uses YouTube to watch videos and playthroughs.

Greta and Adler use theirs for their respective fields of work, not many unprofessional slips but they're accidentally funny when criticizing so they're like this kind of funny celebrity on accident. Their responses are like Duolingo's

Marcus uses hers for reading and buying books. TikTok is for harmless recommendations, Instagram is for buying books and twitter is for more book stuff. She also started promoting her own works and ideas there, though her content is managed by Greta after an accident.

Windsong uses it for nerd purposes, like watching chem videos, new theories or plain ol game theories and explanations, she even posts her own theories and Ley Lines revival investigations. Meanwhile Vila is more educational, she's on the educational side of social media and well, doesn't post anything but she follows a lot of very smart people

Lilya doesn't have a single post, she's just there to do her thing which is watch videos at ungodly hours of the morning with Druvis. And Druvis posts plant caretaking videos on YouTube with like, a thousand subscribers. Now that she's famous, she has many more, but she's still posting the same content.

He softly shakes his head into your shoulder -- okay, he doesn't wanna talk about it. Must be a doozy.

You lean your head against his slightly and refocus on the task at hand in front of you -- pie assembly. The apple filling is going to be to DIE for this time. Perfect sugar-to-fruit ratio, and just the right syrupy consistency. Ugh. You're quite proud of yourself.

"Smells good," he murmurs.

"Doesn't it? I'm excited for this one."

He absently pulls you tighter against him, shifting his hands slightly under your shirt and grumbling something indecipherable.

"Hm?"

"Hate today. Just want to stay here."

"I mean. You can." You place a hand on his arm and squeeze affectionately. His thumbs rub against your skin softly in response as he groans pitifully.

"Idiot. Bad suggestion."

He lingers for a few minutes longer, chatting idly about nothing of importance, before he slowly slides his hands away and steps back from you. You turn briefly to give him a peck on the cheek. "Just let me know if you need anything, okay?"

He nods, squeezes your arm briefly, then leaves the kitchen to return to the study.

You can't help but grin as you return to work. You'll give him an hour before he's buried in your shoulder again.
