Honestly don‘t know what to make of this conversation I just had on ft with my friend so I’m transcribing it here so I won’t forget it.

Ac: you have a lot of dreams about marrying both Ronan and Adam

Me: yeah I know it’s so weird idk why my brain does this

Ac: you‘re a huge history nerd and won’t shut the fuck up about it. Ever.

Me: yeah you’re point?

Ac: You don‘t relate to Ronan. You also don’t relate to Adam. You think you do but you don’t.

Me: what do you mean??? Ronan Lynch is my favorite character of all time. I named my son after him. My cats name is LITERALLY ADAM.

Ac: yeah. That’s my point, meebs. You‘re literally fucking Gansey. You’re obsessed with these two characters because they what you want to be in life. You have a raging savior complex. You‘re an autistic lil guy who wants to talk about history and you simp over your friends and the amount of anxiety you have could kill a small child.

Me: first of all I didn’t fucking ask you.

Ac: you drive a shitty orange mustang and called it the hog bc you ‘didn’t want to disrespect the pig like that’

Finally getting around to some actual art, messing with directional lighting and coloured lighting idk how well its gone but I sort like it. Anyway, this particular one goes with my fantasy au ft Prince Gansey, his guard Ronan and witch Adam about to deal with assassin Blue.

“It’s a mistake, isn’t it? Thinking they are your family.” ( adam & gansey )

Adam’s fingernails cut into the palm of his hand, held tightly there in a fist. He was accustomed to this anger, like it was a second skin, but it had been a while since he’d felt it around Gansey. At first, Aglionby had been a nightmare - until their friendship had begun, until Adam had him by his side. But he should know by now that it would always end up back here. Whenever he said no to Gansey, refused to get in line, this would be the response: Gansey’s perfect, polite voice, all knowing sympathy and superior judgement. His eyes full of an unbearable pity for what Adam was. Soft and kind too, maybe, hazel eyes like honey, so that despite himself a small part of Adam longed to agree, to fall in line, make him happy. But he couldn’t help seeing the condescension in those eyes too and it would always, always be there if Adam didn’t stand his ground. He knew it, he sensed it, whatever Gansey said. 

"Fuck you, Gansey. Why do you always have to make it so hard?" Adam spat out, blood boiling. He could wound, too.  "You know what my real mistake was? My mistake was ever stopping by the roadside for you." 

The backlash from his own words seemed to ricochet around the room. The way Gansey’s face blanched felt worse than a bullet. Adam felt sick and sorry, but underneath that, perhaps even worse, was the feeling of triumph. That in some way, he did have a power over Richard Campbell Gansey The Third.

Richard Campbell Gansey The Third, who was impervious, who was invincible, but not to Adam Parrish. 

Adam Parrish The One. He didn’t need charity from Gansey. He didn’t need pity. He didn’t need anything at all, and so why should he feel guilty for admitting it, for saying it, when it was the truth, he never should have stopped by the road to help him, Aglionby might have been hell before Gansey, but in a way it had been easier- His thoughts cut out, to a dead halt.  

To regret stopping by the road that day was to regret their entire friendship.  And Gansey had still not said anything at all. He really had wounded him, then, Adam realised, and could not triumph in it. There was a sour taste in his mouth, the wrongness to what he’d said settling in at last.

And yet somehow it was impossible to form the words of apology. Not after what Gansey had said. He would do anything for Gansey, anything. All he asked in return was that Gansey say nothing, do nothing, about one thing. Adam’s family. 

"Forget it,” Adam said instead. “I'm not moving into Monmouth. You and Ronan will have to make do without me." And there it was, the flicker of jealousy, and the horrible realisation of the trap he was stuck in, at how badly he did, in fact, want to move into Monmouth, to be so unquestionably, so unmistakably part of AdamandGansey. Even AdamandGanseyandRonan. (And Noah, he remembered, with another guilty twist. Why was it he always seemed to forget Noah until the last minute? He’d be furious if any of the others did the same to him.) 

The more he was around Gansey, the more he wanted to be his equal, the way Ronan was, the way the two of them were together.  But the more he was around Gansey, the less of an equal he became. Adam tried not to bitterly resent him for it, to find softer words, less damaging words. Maybe he wasn’t built for those. 

"I just can't. Don’t ask again."

richard gansey iii &&. katherine plumber ( nxtritething ) -- friend/collaborator. with katherine’s youtube channel and gansey’s curious nature, he frequently is asking her questions while she’s working on her videos. eventually, she stopped cutting his tidbits out, leading to funny moments

richard gansey iii &&. adam parrish ( glasshvarts ) -- close friend. when adam came to st. jude’s for high school, they became quick friends. adam needed someone who would keep him safe, and gansey needed friends outside of the rowing team, and they’ve been inseparable ever since

richard gansey iii &&. ronan lynch ( dreamalittleme ) -- acquaintances. because of adam’s tutoring ronan, gansey knows ronan on a surface level. he finds ronan a bit of a pain, but there’s something about him that seems just a little familiar.

The gangsey as youtubers pt2

Talking to our boyfriend solely in vines until he catches up (Henry and Blue ft Gansey)

Gansey manages to get Adam to do a video with him about the story of how they met. The video turned out at least half an hour and it was basicly Gansey rambling about how great he thought Adam was all accompanied by Ronan in the background pretending he didn't basicly fall in love with Adam the first time he laid his eyes on him. (".. I thought he was incredible. What about you Ronan?" "I thought he was an asshole.")

Henry films a weekly vlog where he tries to introduce the rest of the gangsey to kpop. Noah immediately falls in love and he and Henry have lengthy conversations about kpop bands, fighting about which one they like the best. Ronan calls Noah a traitor, blasts the murder squash song two times louder and three times more frequently and prays the two of them never decide to bring Matthew into this madness. They do. It's awesome.

Blue and Adam frequently go thrifting together and sometimes they even bring Gansey with them too.

Okay remember that one scene where they are discussing about that box Ronan dreams and Gansey and Adam are like 'maybe it's ancient Greek' and Ronan just goes like: "No. The ancient greeks didn't have a word for blue." and Adam just stares like "What the fuck, Ronan?"? Well Ronan pulls shit like that all. The. Time. About anything. Blue and Henry are painting their nails and Henry is whining about how he can't touch his phone because his nails are still not dry and Ronan is like 'you should pull them under cold water' and Blue just stares at him in disbelief.

At some point they decide to make a board game tournament between them. They play monopoly once but that's it. Noah and Gansey are pretty uninterested in the first place and Blue refuses to play because fuck capitalism™ and all. So it just ends up with Adam, Ronan and Henry shouting at each other restlessly because Adam just outright refuses to lose, Ronan has an incredible time annoying the shit out of Adam by buying random things and still ending up winning and Henry is so terrible at the game that he still plays because it's fun watching the others laugh just wt how bad he is at it.

Blue and Ronan have a baking series. Ronan is pretty bad at baking of any kind but he is there because no one else accepted to do the series with Blue and Blue kind of blackmailed Ronan. They bring Matthew frequently as a guest and at some point he ends up becoming a regular. The audience adore how impressed he is by literally anything they make especially when Ronan decides to fuck it and like, put an egg in the bowl so that he can say he helped.

Another fan Favorite duo is Adam and Declan. They don't interact much in the channel because generally Declan only shows up when Ronan wants to get on his nerves and films him randomly in their vlogs. But gradualy he starts being there on their random videos and between his and Adam's casual conversations their dynamic starts appearing interesting. They start off pretty reserved and forcefully polite but as they become more comfortable around each other they hold some of the best debates. And that's how they start their own special. They start debating about everything. Anything. About whether you should sleep with socks on or not, which is the superior vegetable and the best spice girls song. The most amazing thing is how serious they are about everything and it manages to crack everyone else up, ending up laughing their asses off in the background.

They do karaoke nights once in two months. Usually they are drunk. Usually they go viral.

They do all of the popular challenges at some point (as I said it's kind of Noah's special on the channel). Noah does the friendship tag with all of them and every video is titled the same 'Best friend tag with my best friend'. Wholesome things. They play truth or dare but it never ends too well because Ronan always chooses dare and usually Gansey ends up crying because he usually gets drunk and becomes a bit too invested on Ronan's general wellbeing. Adam, who always stays sober just films everything with his phone and tries to comfort Gansey with hugging and patting his head awkwardly while sushing Blue and Henry who are making fun of Gansey behind his back.

late to the party for the WIP ask. Art school harrow/gideon, BnB harrow/gideon, and Follow the Fellow adam/ronan intrigue me. tell me more. v intrigued

You're the hero this city needs

1. Art School Harrow/Gideon: this is the one where I take our illustrious alma mater, make it a little different, fill it even more full of ghosts, and let these two idiots loose in it

"Mhmm." Gideon tilted her head so that her chin might ruffle Harrow’s hair. "Your body is a regular Spirit Halloween store. I bet the Spirit of Halloween just saw your skin laying around all empty, and crawled right in there like a hermit crab. That's how those stores franchise, you know. Empty real estate: bam. Skeleton city." Gideon propped her free arm up onto the cabinet in such a way as to display her bicep, should anyone be looking.

2. BnB Harrow/Gideon is a beauty and the beast au in which Harrow is the beast (either in the ruins of the ninth or the first, can't decide...surrounded by skeletons either way obvs), Dulcie/Cytherea is Belle, and Gideon is also kind of Belle but is mostly Gaston lol

Hear me out: Ronan as Dorothy (wants nothing more than to go home), Adam as the Tin Man (thinks he doesn't have a heart), Gansey as the Cowardly Lion (the terrified king of the forest), Noah as the Scarecrow (I mean...blunt force head trauma tm), and Blue as Glinda the Good Witch (gateway to all the useful magic!). ft Kavinsky as the Wicked Witch. It was like this: there was daytime, and then there was Henrietta daytime. Mud and dust, humidity and heat. Virginia summer. The sun was a sweaty, unwanted arm around Ronan’s shoulder, a stinging welt against his shaved head, always heavy and hurting, always weighing him down. People wanted things from him during the day. Things like answer-your-fucking-phone-Ronan, things like Ronan-Lynch-don’t-you-dare-rev-your-engine-at-that-miscreant, things like well-I-hope-you’ll-actually-apply-yourself-this-semester-it’s-not-like-that-education-is-free.
