I have a spectrum that I believe most foods fall between soup or lasagne.

You can categorise any thing into "mostly soup" "mostly lasagne" or "in between".

For example. The standard soup to lasagne spectrum exists as follows.

Soup/Broth

Chowder

Curry

Stew

Cottage pie

Spaghetti (or similar pasta)

Lasagne

The spectrum moves from a food which is mostly liquid to a food with an increasing consistency until you have now stacked multiple solid foods atop one another to defy the liquid order itself

Examples of foods and how they stack.

Sandwich = mostly lasagne. Just like a lasagne, this guy has layers.

Porridge = mostly soup. A liquid based meal but still has a food like consistency to it. Eaten with a spoon

Cake = mostly lasagne. Literally, a lasagne is a savoury cake.

As of today I cannot think of one food which cannot fit on this spectrum.

Kotetsu pressed his face into Barnaby's shoulder and groaned. "That's gonna be important." Barnaby ran his hands up Kotetsu's back. "They can call back later." No sooner had the words left his mouth than his phone started ringing again. Kotetsu smiled at him ruefully. "I guess one of us is going to have to answer that, huh?"

"you want me to be honest? it fuckin' sucks -- i missed you man." a hand presses into the back on his neck firmly, head shaking softly, he knew this wouldn't be easy, running into a ghost from his past, someone who still lived in the margins of his stories, who he still thought about on loney nights in hotels rooms across the country, when he let the what if and maybes sneak in, on those nights when he'd hit the bottom of the bottle a little too hard that let the feelings he usually buried deep come bubbling out, and he'd be damned it he didn't write his best damn music on those kinda of nights. "look i was just in town, maybe this was a fuckin' stupid idea, just didn't feel right to be here and not at least say hi to an old friend --" friend catches in his throat like a thorn, it feels insincere.

For your WIP/Sunday Scaries meme! "Your Kensei/Hisagi maybe? Onesided?"

Hello! This is one I juuuust have the very start of, because I haven't quite decided what direction to take it in. It mostly focuses on Kensei wanting Hisagi and having Very Complicated Feelings About That Fact while Hisagi is totally oblivious I think. Obviously he can't do anything about it while Hisagi is in his chain of command, but any suggestion of a transfer is outright rejected and where would Hisagi go, anyway? Meanwhile Hisagi is just out there walking around with Kensei's mark on his face driving Kensei insane. There's also a lot of complicated concerns about hero worship and power dynamics etc. obviously. I'm not actively working on this one but I hope to pick it back up once I get a better idea of where to take it.
