Jazzed up the Google Sheet I use as a music practice log a bit while I was setting it up for December. I actually understand the syntax of the formula I stole off Reddit from someone else's practice spreadsheet now.
#I added some new columns#so I could sum the amount of time spend on cello voice and theory separately#and I changed the colours of the columns in different sections so they were more visually distinct#also added conditional formatting to my sum columns#so that the text shows up as red yellow or green depending on how much practice I've done that day#and the formula I mentioned is basically just an if statement#that rounds the sum of the number of minutes I've spent practicing divided by 60 to two decimal places#so I can see what I've done in hours as opposed to minutes#going by my february numbers (which is the last time I was logging practice time consistently) I used to top out at about 0.85 hours#and that was all my practice summed together instead of separated out#my goal is 20 minutes each of voice and cello and 5 minutes theory a day#so 0.75 hours#or 0.33 and 0.33 and 0.08 (ish)#we're rounding here folks#sorry I know this is all incredibly boring to anyone other than me#and arguably my cello teacher#but I think it's pretty fun

Technically that person is correct.
Follow the big money and you will eventually find the true enemy.
Also it distracts from that other invasion happening further up north.
Also it makes the American democrats seem like super weak and authoritarian, and I'm sure you know how much these people would love for Regressionist Republicans to take over.
In fact I'm sure that's why they (mainstream media) keeps calling it just Hamas.
Gotta make sure and identify the most outspoken people and discredit them for siding with terrorism. (And also hopefully arrest them to keep them from voting or further interfering with politics)
Can you imagine if the Regressionist Republicans win AGAIN?
All those pesky laws that prevent people from making money may go bye bye.
I wonder why they would want that to happen?
Anyways I gotta go live the current American dream, and go back to work so I can pay my rent on time and hopefully I'll have enough money to buy food for next week.
Yes! All protestors have to do is become majority stockholders in defense companies and then destroy the companies. And their money.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Australia has committed to elevating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge as one of five national priorities in science and research. This comes as part of the National Science Statement released on Monday by the Minister for Industry and Science, Ed Husic. The statement signals the national priorities that will shape investment and policy across research and development over the next decade. Australian research already punches above its weight. The statement notes we produce 3.4% of the world's research with just 0.33% of the world's population. So how can we accelerate our impact? Indigenous knowledge systems are a national strength. The history of science on this continent is extraordinary, yet we often fail to recognize the sophisticated knowledges held by our First Nations peoples. Indigenous voices must be at the table. The first peoples, the first scientists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples were the first astronomers, physicists, biologists and pharmacists on this continent. From as far back as 65,000 years, Indigenous people have been integrating knowledge systems with and for people and Country. There are many examples of Indigenous knowledge contributing to contemporary problems. Traditional Aboriginal burning takes into account local weather conditions, plants, environments and animals. It shows how plants react to fire, how to reduce the risk of major fire events, and support regeneration and biodiversity. Indigenous-led approaches to urban water are pointing towards more sustainable water management practices that also regenerate ecological and cultural environments.

How can this beautiful 1927 fairy tale Tudor home in Topeka, KS be only $199,500? The large home has 4bds, 2ba, and has a pending sale.
Look at this, it's even been redone.
The living room is beautiful. Look at that wall and all the windows.
It's huge and also it's a sunken living room. The floors are perfect.
Knotty pine library/den on an enclosed porch off the living room.
Large dining room with tall wainscoting and it looks like there's even a closet.
The kitchen is in need of updating. The fridge has been removed and I don't see a dishwasher. I mean, you can live with it, but it needs a redo.
Very large primary bedroom has enough room for a sitting area, plus there's a fireplace and 2 built-in dressers.
I like the tile in the bath.
Doesn't this room make a great studio, with all the natural light?
Bath #2 is cute. Look at the original medicine cabinet.
They're not using this cute bedroom. I guess they're selling b/c the house is too big for them.
The basement has a green partition- I wonder if there's a toilet back there. Yikes, look at all that duct work!
0.33 Acre lot. This house is a bargain.

you took a deep breath before you turned on your stream. after a few minutes the comments started to roll in and your giggled did too. minju being one of them made your smile burn brighter.
“hay bun buns ! today we are going to be doing something a little different.. one of you will get to play fortnite with me..”. as you sighed your rolled your eyes at the comments.
@juju.beat — LET ME JOIN AND WHOP YOUR ASS !
@fan2821 — YAHH
@fan3826 — I miss haerin :(
“your so funny minju !”. you rolled your eyes as you looked to see minju donated 0.33 cents.
@juju.beat — suck it ;D <3
you made a heart to the camera then flipped it off, and more and more comments came.
“if you want to join me just check my newest tweet and put down your Fortnite user and discord so we can chat why’ll we play !”. after posting the tweet for a few minutes you just talked to your fan. while a couple miles away sixteen year old hyein was ecstatic to join her favorite youtuber. hurriedly hyein responded the the tweet her favorite bts playlist playing in the background.
then after a few minutes of geeking out hyein stationed herself at her computer loading Fortnite and discord in her pink pajama’s.
“hyein-ah get to sleep now !”
“yes mom !”. hyein ran to turn of her lights and after a few minutes turned on her leds. meanwhile you finally stopped drowning on about your new cat. opening up twitter for your stream your scrolled and waited a few minutes.
“and…. hye_iup on Fortnite and discord won ! pls accept my friend requests and we will finally start some gameplay !”. hyein eyes half opened jumped. did you actaully say her name?
just to be sure hyein checked and you were requesting to follower her. after some breathing exercises hyein accepted voice and joined your discord call.
“hi.. how are you?”
“42”. you paused. surely your hearing things..
“ok.. do you want to just jump-“
“ofcourse can’t wait to beat you this will be soooo easy”. you sat stunned for a minute before your competitiveness kicked in.
“I’ve been practicing !”. hyein pretend to yawn.
“we’re you practicing that one time haerin snipped you on her first game..”. your chat erupted and your jaw dropped.
“stop trash talking me and join the game!”. hyein giggled and then game began. a few fans snuck there way into your game and tried to help you. mean while hyein was dancing with a chicken.
“you have been quiet for a while.. um..”
“hyein ! and I’m dancing with a chicken ! remind me of my own..”. it took you a second to digest everything the girl had said.
“I’m grinding my ass off and you’re dancing withs chicken?”. for the discord called you heard two shots.
“she pulled a gun on me.. how disrespectful ! chicky would never do that to me..”
“your chickens named.. chicky..”
“Im.. se-twenty I’m not that creative sorry !”. after a few more minutes your both got into a flow. hyein would be doing some thing weird like dancing with the whole avatar crew.
“kinda wish kora was here though-“. you hummed and then heard two guns go off.
“she killed everyone”. you burst out laughing while hyein held a funeral for the gang.
or even meet you face to face but not know because you changed your skin.
“ugh.. idk why people choose bright skins there just asking to be killed..”. hyein went off for a good ten minutes before someone donated to you telling her that was you and she burst out laughing. two hours in hyein was complaining about her work when the game started to come to an end.
“like why did this old as teacher yell at me for not knowing geometry ! like- girl I learned that two years ago calm down”
“so your 17..?”
“totally”. as soon as that word left hyein’s mouth her character evaporated into thin air.
“WHAT THE- omg what !”. you giggled as Hyein went off.
“unfair !”. you could here her pout through the screen so you tried to brighten her mood.
“hay is it ok if I get your number so we can play more..? everyone seems to love your yelling..!”. hyein scoffed, but you were right. you usually had 50-200k people watching but you broke your highest record and had 3million people watching.
“uh— sure give me a sec..”. as you tapped your fingers on your desk hyein ran to her phone on her bed. after texting her bestfriend wonhak thirty times with no response she sighed and went back to her chair.
hyein was a troubled teen. with mostly b’s and some c’s and a f in phys ed. so when she asked for a phone for her sixteenth birthday she got a fat no. but you were y/n y/l/n ! so when hyein got back on the call she gave the only number she knew.
“sorry but I have school tomorrow bye ! can’t wait to beat you later !”. you giggled as after hyein left you ended your stream too. but as hyein brushed her teeth and finally went to sleep at twelve you texted ‘her’ at 12:15. the thing was the only number hyein knew that wasn’t a parents or cousins was minji her favorite cousins bestfriend.

~an introduction to ecobricking~
hello fellow solarpunks! i've been interested in ecobricking for a while but i recently invested some time into researching them so here's a guide! it's a responsible way to sequester plastic from the environment, but making them is slightly more involved than just stuffing plastic in a bottle, if you want to use them for construction or weight-bearing projects like furniture. I'm mainly using information from GoBrik, which had the most comprehensive guide, but feel free to comment or rb with supplemental information.
FAQ:
Isn't it better to recycle plastic rather than ecobricking?
There are many plastics, such as food wrappers or packaging, that can't be recycled and end up degrading rapidly. Ecobricking sequesters those kinds of plastics from the ecosystem and also reduces the surface area exposed, which limits plastic degredation over time.
How do you use ecobricks?
You can use ecobricks in many applications, from furniture to structures. The long-term environmental impact of using ecobricks is still speculated on, but responsible upkeep mitigates their potential environmental impacts, which are still far less than the impact that plastic would have were it not sequestered.
How To Ecobrick:
Find a plastic bottle. The bottles that you use for ecobricking should all be the same variety, which will help in any building projects that you may choose to use them for.
Find some plastic! Make sure to wash and dry your plastic, as any food residue or moisture could make your brick moldy or structurally unsound. You can cut up larger pieces of plastic, like food packaging (think bags of shredded cheese or frozen berries, or the plastic bags inside cereal boxes)-- just pack em in. If you want to be fancy, GoBrik recommends making the bottom layer of your ecobrick all one color, for aesthetic purposes later on. But it's really up to you. Please avoid putting biodegradable material, such as cardboard or paper, as well as glass or metal, in your ecobrick-- it'll affect the density and preferred composition. Plus, you can recycle those!
Calculate the density! This is the only part that involves math, I swear. You want to aim for a density of about 0.37 grams per milliliter; it shouldn't be under 0.33 g/ml or it'll be structurally unsound. It's also good to aim for a density less than 0.7 g/ml, or your bricks might be too heavy to move comfortably. The equation is just the weight in grams divided by the milliliters of the container you're using, so, for example, if you used a bottle than was 1250 ml, you would be aiming for about 475-500 g of plastic (including the bottle). (a kitchen scale is great for weighing, and you can thrift them pretty easily) Of course, if you're ecobricking to sequester plastic and not necessarily to build, you don't need to worry too much about the density, but if you wanted to donate your ecobricks to a project in the future I would encourage you to try to keep track of density.
Cap your bottle tightly, leaving 1-2 cm at the top of the bottle (basically, you don't want the cap to bulge, because it will make the cap degrade rapidly and crack). Label them with the density of the bottle (if it's relevant) and the date (so you know how long the brick has been around so you can maintain it if needed)-- nail polish works the best. Keep them out of the elements (especially the sun) and off the ground until you plan to use them.
There are tons of ways to use ecobricks! I'll link a few ideas below.
https://ecobricks.org/en/build.php
https://ecobricks.org/en/modules.php
anways, happy bricking! i'll post a picture of my finished ecobrick when it's done (hopefully not soon!)

Leclerc was on average only 0.11 off the pace set by Norris in the HEAVILY updated McLaren, despite running in dirty air for the majority of the race and having the oldest tyres of the top drivers (and he was only 0.04 seconds off Verstappen). With Sainz about a tenth slower at +0.19, this made Ferrari the fastest team this race (by an absolutely tiny margin, and keep in mind that Piastri only had 50% of the McLaren updates and that RBR was struggling more than we've seen before this season)
With this in mind:
McLaren have brought their big update this race, but haven't had the opportunity to gather much data on it. With both drivers having the full package in Imola they will need a couple of races to fully understand how the new car behaves before they can bring further improvements.
I'm very curious about this actually. The new McLaren seemed Very temperamental this weekend, as shown by Norris's issues in qualifying (most likely caused by huge shifts in balance depending on the tyre compound). Likely it will take them another 5-7 races before they can bring any new substantial upgrades.
RedBull brought their big upgrade to Japan, (although it wasn't as big as McLaren's) and haven't announced any new date for any major new upgrades (to my knowledge, but please correct me on this if I have missed something!).
The improvement made by McLaren is difficult to calculate because there are a lot of factors to consider, like strategy and potential traffic (also it's currently 2am and I'm too tired. But it should be mostly accurate), but if you look at the average race pace difference between the fastest RedBull and McLaren since RBR brought their upgrades (also conveniently excludes Australia as there were no true representative times set by the RedBulls):
Japan: Norris +0.54
China sprint: Norris +1.08
China: Norris +0.88
Miami: Verstappen +0.07
This gives us an average pace difference of 0.83 before MCL upgrades and technically show an improvement of 0.9 seconds in Miami (but of course this time is affected by RBR having a very good pace in China and an unusually bad pace in Miami, so take this with a couple of grains of salt. On a more regular weekend the improvement is most likely closer to 0.3-0.5 which would put them slightly behind or on par with RBR)
((EDIT: realised when I woke up that a comparison between McLaren and Ferrari would provide more accuracy for the estimated pace improvement, because of both a bigger example size and fewer outliers. This comparison also allows us to consider every race so far this season, bar the Miami sprint (no representative times for the updated MCL) and potentially the Chinese gp as Ferrari lost a lot of time due to lack of tyre temperature. Excluding outliers we get an average pace difference of 0.22 (in Ferrari's favour) meaning the MCL updates gave Norris a gain of 0.33 seconds. This shows that my previous estimate of 0.3-0.5 depending on track is most likely accurate.))
Ferrari however, is bringing their new package to Imola, and it is reportedly as big if not bigger than what McLaren brought — SF-24 EVO (for evolution). This is an upgrade package that Ferrari are Very optimistic about, and it's said to be a radical version of the sf-24. The focus going into this season was to make sure they had a good baseline that they understood properly, and good tyre degradation. This led to the car being quite simple in its design, but as we've seen so far this season Ferrari has achieved these goals. The Imola upgrades will build on this very solid base to improve speed and adjust it towards more oversteer (although we'll have to wait and see if this is successful)
Anyway, average pace difference:
Japan: Sainz +0.42
China sprint: Leclerc +0.74
China: Leclerc +1.19
Miami sprint: +0.17
Miami: Leclerc +0.04
This gives us an average pace difference of 0.5 (0.78 if we were to consider Miami an outlier, and probably less than 0.5 if we consider RBR's rocket pace in China another outlier). With MCL and RBR not likely to take any big steps forward other than what can be achieved through set up and track characteristics, and with Ferrari only needing to find about 0.3-0.5 seconds on average with their sf-24 evolution (which is what MCL did), Imola and the rest of the European races will be very very interesting. My prediction (only slightly biased) is that the top 3 teams are going to be very close depending on the track, but that Ferrari might have an edge if their upgrades work. Ultimately McLaren will probably stay the 3rd fastest team, but no one will have the same level of dominance as we've seen so far.
If Ferrari does have an edge, well Leclerc is only 3pts behind Perez, and only 38pts behind Verstappen with 18 races to go. We might still have a title fight on our hands... At the very least for the constructors and the vice-championship.
Also if I've made any errors, huge or small, please tell me because I am Sleep Deprived and the text is now blurry
