I think Feiqiu is super underrated actually for a multitude of reasons. Includes leaks and spoilers please be warned.

Number one the absolute devotion they have towards each other? Like Feixiao was absolutely invested in the rescue as soon as she found out he was kidnapped. Jiaoqiu didn't even want to be a healer after seeing so many people die then rejoined the field and hasn't left Feixiao since. He literally wanted to visit Hoolay who was the leader of the borisin which enslaved the foxians all so he could hopefully find a cure for her. They keep bringing each other up in conversations with others.

Number two is just the inherent chemistry between the two. They've known each other for years and are obviously close.

Seeing some takes on the idea of shipping the Yaoqing trio together where people are deeply disappointed and getting moralistic about the age gaps, and saying it's a "bad" ship, and I just.

Listen.

This is a bunch of people who live a ridiculous amount of time. Foxians have the shortest lifespan here, and even they live up to 450 years old. That's insane. Jiaoqiu may have been an adult when Feixiao was a teen, but with a lifespan that crazy, I really don't think their actual age gap matters now that they're all clearly adults with full time jobs and stuff.

You're a long life species on the Xianzhou? When you say you like older men you could be talking about like, dudes in their thousands. You've got as many couples with age gaps in the tens as you've got in the hundreds. We can't reasonably apply normal person age gap ideas to long life species and we shouldn't be trying. Ultimately they're all adults in current canon and it's silly to claim they can't date.

I think it's totally fine if you prefer to view them as platonic or familial, all completely sensible interpretations as always, but you don't have to justify it by claiming that shipping them romantically is somehow bad and morally wrong. It's okay. Hold my hand. Look me in the eyes. You can interpret them as you like. And if the ages make you personally uncomfortable, that's fine, you do not have to engage with the ship, you can block the tag etc. but don't act like it's wrong for it to not bother others.

What squicks you out in fiction isn't universal. Just make peace and ignore it.

Scaramouche (Hat guy) Academia Hcs

Wanderer is enrolled in Vahumana, the Darshan that focuses on aetiology and social sciences. 

Scaramouche is a criminal justice major. (extremely ironic considering his past as the 6th harbinger)

Because of this past, he’d be pretty good at his major, always raising the curve. (people absolutely hate him for that) 

Is the absolute worst partner (no offense to him) He’d silently judge you for the way you work, mentally calling you incompetent, and ultimately does the entire project himself.

He has intense anger issues, but an immense amount of self-control that he has to channel to get through his day.

Personally believes that his major is straightforward, the constant essays nothing compared to the paperwork of his past.

Because of his mindset towards the difficulty of his work, he often gets irritated when his colleagues ask questions he considers stupid.

Treats his time at the academia as a pastime, simply because it’s not complex enough for him to really worry about.

reasons why rosanah (rosalyn x hannah) is amazing!

- cute ship name

- hannah is a younger sibling while rosalyn is the oldest child (immediately +10 points)

- their fight during the mermaid vs whale arc was so tension 

- smart elegant gf x crazy bloodthirsty gf

- the way rosalyn is ten times more cunning than hannah i just know she teases her sm

- hannah spent most of her life (i personally hc her as 21 in current time) in the church (similar to mary but 10x worse) while rosalyn is literally one of the free-est ppl ever 

rosalyn would def be great for hannahs spirits 

- point being they’re perfect for each other

- plus rosalyn is sly while hannah is more innocent which is a dynamic that i love

- hannah prob got used to being the ‘sly’ one since jack is a bit of a doof(socially) so shes completely flabbergasted at this doting, super sly rosalyn

its literally the best flavor of enemies to lovers, the tension they were having while fighting w the whales, its just so hsashdgfygfg they are so chaotic!good x chaotic!neutral

i can totally see ppl generally assuming rosalyn is like the more sane, leash on hannahs craziness but NO she’s 10x crazier, just more elegant
