As someone who lives in America and is Trans, I am absolutely feeling the weight of the election results right now. Please, anyone in my community, reach out to your local groups, to friends, to anyone you can. Know that you’re not alone in this.

I know this may be personal but I’ve been crying since I’ve heard of the news. I’ve been devastated. I just came out over a year ago and my rights could already be taken away from me. So I’m already trying to connect with others either online but in local groups especially. I need that community right now more than ever, and I think it would help others to do the same.

And I’ve heard this time and time again but it’s really true that we can get through this if we support each other right now and continue to fight for our right to exist. So please don’t give up.

If anyone has any resources for trans people right now, please reblog and share. I’m sure many of us, including me, would appreciate it.

A huge number of people are already getting fucked over when it comes to being allowed to cast a vote in the upcoming elections. Let’s try to minimize what that number COULD be as much as possible. It might also be useful to have the number for the ACLU written down (or already in your phone) so you can CALL THEM while still at the polling place and get whatever information is needed in order to see about having the ACLU sue them. Write down names. Get witnesses. Take photos. MAKE IT VERY CLEAR TO THE POLLSTERS THAT YOU ARE GOING TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE. (Unless you have reason to believe they’re going to be assholes and try to have you arrested for doing so, in which case, be as subtle as possible.)

Now that college students no longer have access to their libraries in the same way we used to and have to do most of our learning at home it would be just terrible if we all knew about https://1lib.eu/ a website which has books on basically every topic ever available for free including college textbooks. Imagine if people were researching their thesis without paying for it.
