Here's part 2 of my random tweets. This time mostly Jean losing his mind.

I love being 25k words into writing my books first draft and then suddenly my brain going "make the main character trans." Like thank you brain- it won't be a major change to any of the plots but it does throw a lot more off than I thought it would.

I see other people doing this and had like 40 random quotes that I remembering from past conversations that I thought were amusing to try to assign to JereJean.

Are they character accurate? Probably not. But ah well.

I love but hate being an author because what do you mean I can endlessly ramble about the book and it be cannon but also I need to write it?

Aka I am already obsessed with my own series and draft one of book one isn't even finished yet. I have been writing for 22 days officially (on and off due to writer's block) and started this morning with 22,465 words- I have so much planned since it is supposed to be a trilogy.

After deeper discussion with a coworker of mine (thank god she enjoys my book ramblings), I have remembered that:

They are immortal, time works differently for them.

Their deaths are practically the same age with being 19 and 20.

It only becomes weird if you look too deep into their mortal ages.

They are friends with the literal goddess of time-

I was writing before work this morning and realized my whole story timeline was wrong and I had miscalculated things by 4-5 years-

The time that Caged By Life Before would be ground 0.

Nasr/Nash died 5 years before, Lito/Lance originally 10 years before, but due to a plot point had to be bumped to 14 years, and Amara/Amalia 16 years before.

The thing that is getting to me is that if I stick with their ages of 19, 20, and 22 at death- Nasr and Lito met at 19 and 29, which is legal but feels a bit weird at the same time.

To go on with the timeline, they start dating about 2 or 3 years before the book takes place putting them at 21/22 and 31/32-

The original would have been they met at 19 and 25, started dating at 21/22 and 27/28. I can't have him going back to 10 years before the book takes place because it would completely destroy a major plot point.

I could have it where Lito/Lance died at 18, which would put it at meeting at 19 and 27, dating at 21/22 and 29/30. But this messes with another plot point and doesn't make too big of a difference other than the fact that the plot for book 2 would be messed with, which could be a future me

Age of consent is 18, so everything is legal, but my mind is trying to say that people would find that weird- so I guess what I'm saying is what are people's opinions on this?

I have zero faith in that what I say in this post will be true but I need to get it out before The Golden Raven comes out because it's a fun idea.

I'm certain that Jean is the "golden raven" but imagine if it was Jeremy- like in Jean's pov, he starts commenting about how some of Jeremy's more hidden traits would have worked in the ravens but Jeremy holds them back because that's not what the sunshine court is about. The Trojans are about peace and irritating other teams by how nice they are, and Jeremy knows that if he let it all out then it would break the image of the team that has so carefully been crafted.

A little bonus scenario conversation:

Jean: Jeremy- you really would have fit in with the ravens.

Jeremy: *has only heard bad things about the ravens from Jean* Uh- did I do something? Did I accidentally hurt you? Please let me know so I don't ever do it again, that's the last thing I want to do is be like any of them-

Jean: *stares quietly for a moment before realizing how that could have been taken* No- I meant that as a compliment. You have very strong traits that would have made you fit on the court with the ravens. You've done no such thing as hurt me.

Jeremy: *letting out a sigh of relief as he takes a seat* oh thank goodness, I was worried that I had done something bad.

Jean: No- but you would have been the only light im the nest. (Though he would need to have healed a lot more before saying something like this)

Me: Writes 800 words this morning then sees that I am at a total of 13,097 words "I need to reach 14,000 by tonight at least

Edit: I'm over here acting like I don't have a full time job that I am at for 8 hours of the day, plus an hour bus ride and stuff to do at home, but I mean- only 30-40 minutes since I posted and I've written 130 words soooo-

Edit #2: 2 hours after posting, 3 and a half hours into my shift and I am now at 13,593- what did I do to deserve coworkers that let me write when we are slow?

Edit #3: 13,767 words by lunch, it's break from writing time
