Urgent Plea for Advocacy: Lesbians in Kakuma Refugee Camp Need Security and Protection
Dear Advocates, Organizations, and Human Rights Defenders,
In the shadows of discrimination, hate, and assault, we, a group of lesbians in Kakuma Refugee Camp, are reaching out for urgent support and advocacy. The challenges we face daily have led to feelings of despair and desperation, prompting us to seek your assistance.
We implore you to stand with us in urging UNHCR and DRS to take immediate action to enhance our security and protection. Our community deserves the right to live free from fear and prejudice.
Share this message, donate, raise awareness, advocate, boost, reblog and let our voices be heard. Together, let's strive for a future where everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, can find safety and acceptance. 🏳️‍🌈
Please spare anything even if it's little to save innocent lives of lesbians from selling off their bodies to get access for food and pads plus others using of dirty clothes or polythene bags during period time due to lack of access to pads hence can lead them to sexually transmitted diseases.
Remember every coin you spare is Worthy to save innocent lives of lesbians to get access for pads

Promoting the Safety and Rights of the LGBTIQ Community in Africa
Across many parts of Africa, LGBTIQ individuals continue to face significant challenges related to safety, legal rights, and societal acceptance. Despite global advancements in LGBTIQ rights, many African countries maintain laws that criminalize same-sex relationships, leaving vulnerable communities exposed to discrimination, violence, and persecution.
These challenges are compounded by widespread stigma, which often results in exclusion from education, healthcare, and employment, as well as physical violence and psychological harm. In some regions, LGBTIQ individuals live in constant fear of being targeted by hate crimes, arrested under anti-LGBTIQ laws, or subjected to harmful 'conversion therapy' practices.
However, there are individuals and organizations working relentlessly to improve the situation. Local activists, human rights defenders, and civil society organizations are making a difference by challenging discriminatory laws, raising awareness, and providing essential support to those in need. Despite the risks, these efforts are creating spaces of resistance, solidarity, and hope.
It is essential that the global community continues to advocate for the rights and safety of LGBTIQ people in Africa. Governments, international organizations, and individuals all have a role to play in dismantling harmful laws and practices while promoting respect for human dignity and equality. Through collective action, we can help ensure that everyone—regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity—can live free from fear of persecution and violence.
The path forward requires not only legal reform but also a cultural shift toward greater acceptance, inclusivity, and understanding. Let us stand together in solidarity with LGBTIQ individuals in Africa, working toward a future where every person is free to live authentically and without fear.
Therefore through donating anything even if it's little so that we can survive this horrible situation through getting access for survival necessities mostly food, and sanitary items please consider making a donation or spare anything to make aworld of difference on our lives just know that every coin is Worthy even if it's little

Standing Together: Advocating for LGBTQ Refugees
In a world where love should be celebrated in all its forms, countless individuals find themselves fleeing their homes due to persecution based on their sexual orientation or gender identity. The plight of LGBTQ refugees is a pressing human rights issue that requires our immediate attention and activism. As global citizens, it is our responsibility to raise awareness, advocate for equitable policies, and support those who have been forced to leave everything behind in search of safety and acceptance.
LGBTQ individuals face unique challenges when seeking asylum. In many regions around the world, laws continue to criminalize same-sex relationships or non-conforming gender identities, leading to violence, discrimination, and even death. For these individuals, the journey to safety is fraught with danger. Refugees often confront hostility not only from their original communities but also from governments and institutions in their host countries, which can exacerbate their already precarious situations.
LGBTQ refugees are on the front lines of a battle for their lives and dignity. By raising awareness, supporting organizations that assist us and advocating for critical policy changes, we can create a more inclusive, equitable world. Let us stand together in solidarity and make a difference in the lives of those who need our support the most and donation to atleast strive the situation. In the end, our strength will be defined not only by our words but by our actions to uplift and protect our LGBTQ brothers and sisters seeking refuge.
Remember every coin you spare is Worthy to save innocent lives of lgbtiq individuals in refugee camp and together we can atleast change their situation

Fellow Activists we need your voice and donation
https://gofund.me/6930e2d7
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Kenya face significant challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Sodomy is prohibited in Kenya, punishable by 21 years' imprisonment, and any sexual practices (termed "gross indecency") are a felony of the same statute, punishable by 5 years' imprisonment. On 24 May 2019, the High Court of Kenya refused an order to declare same sex marriage. The state does not recognise any relationships between persons of the same sex; same-sex marriage is banned under the Kenyan Constitution since 2010. There are no explicit protections against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. Adoption is restricted to heterosexual couples only.
Expressions of homosexuality are illegal under Kenyan statutes and carry a maximum penalty of 14 years' imprisonment to 21 years in certain aggravating circumstances. Sex acts between women are mentioned under the gender-neutral term person and are enforced equally. Indeed, Prime Minister Raila Odinga in November 2010 called on for them to be arrested along with gay men.
LGBTQ migrants "asylum seeker and refugees" living in Kenya and continue to be at risk since the host community has stood firm on their decision to eliminate whoever practicing sodomy as stated.

🏳️‍🌈NEED FOR JUSTICE.
In the resounding echo of humanity's pursuit for justice and liberty resonates a fervent yearning cherished by multitudes. Justice, entwined with the essence of freedom, emerges as the ideal sought by all. Yet, amidst the veils of public perception lies an unsettling truth, one that the world has regrettably failed to grasp. The façade of virtue painted by the UNHCR shrouds a reality steeped in desolation and shattered expectations.
With each passing day, month, and year, the landscape of our existence within the confines of Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya grows increasingly bleak. We, the queer refugees and asylum seekers, find ourselves entangled in a web of adversity. It is not merely a narrative of what has transpired over the years but a poignant inquiry into what ought to be rectified, and more crucially, what each noble soul can endeavor to rectify in this relentless wave of injustice.
Pain, a transient visitor to the human soul, is believed to dissipate with the passage of time. However, when one remains ensnared within the clutches of unrelenting violence and despair, time becomes an elusive remedy. Only those shackled by these circumstances can fathom the depth of anguish endured. Countless untold stories languish in obscurity, leaving a haunting sense of neglect and isolation. Every avenue meant to provide solace and sanctuary has transmuted into a source of strain for us.
The resounding call for justice often finds its resonance in the collective voice of the public. Yet, when the custodians of power turn a blind eye, actively perpetuating the cycle of violence and injustice, the very essence of justice is desecrated. Whom shall we hold accountable for this protracted travesty, silently unfolding before our innocent eyes? The harrowing violence inflicted by certain African communities upon the queer populace is a known chapter. However, it is the complicity of organizations like the UNHCR, with their deliberate inaction and implicit participation in this violence through police brutality, that perpetuates our mental anguish.
Attempting to assert our rights in the face of UNHCR officials within the camp has become an ordeal, leaving us emotionally and mentally scarred. Our lives, relegated to the margins, have been deprived of opportunities that should be universal to all refugees. Fleeing from persecution has only led us into an abyss of uncertainty, as the malevolent forces continue to prey upon our innocence.
Despite the trials that haunt our days and the tragedies that have torn apart our circles of love and support, we refuse to relinquish our stance in advocating for justice and freedom. We stand resolute against the tide of suffering that threatens to engulf us entirely. Friends, companions, and kin have been lost to the heinous acts of fellow refugees, organizations, activists, embassies, and governmental bodies entrusted with safeguarding human and civil rights.
To you, the compassionate and resilient souls who champion the cause of justice, I implore your solidarity. Your impact, your advocacy, can be the beacon of change illuminating the dark corridors of Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kenya. Our queer community, besieged by brutality, hatred, and violence, beseeches your support. In the midst of abhorrent living conditions, where basic needs remain a distant dream, we beseech various organizations and activists to refute the misguided ethos of the UNHCR in Kenya.
Stand with us, lend your voice to the chorus for freedom, and advocate for the liberation of the queer individuals in Kakuma Refugee Camp. Our only experience in this realm has been one etched with unrelenting pain—a reality we refuse to accept as our fate.
Please try to consider making a donation to also save innocent lives of lgbtiq individuals

🏳️‍🌈 Urgent Call for Support for LGBT Refugees 🏳️‍🌈
Dear friends,
I'm reaching out to raise awareness about the dire situation faced by LGBT refugees in Gorom Refugee Settlement (South Sudan) and Kakuma Refugee Camp (Kenya). These individuals are experiencing unthinkable hardships, including attacks, assaults, threats, and discrimination based on their sexual orientation.
Children are being denied access to education simply because their parents are homosexuals. Job opportunities are being withheld, leaving LGBT refugees without means to support themselves. This discrimination not only robs them of their basic rights but also deprives them of essential resources.
Many LGBT refugees lack access to necessities such as proper nutrition, medical care, and education. Women with babies struggle to afford milk, and HIV-positive individuals cannot access the diet they need to stay healthy.
We urgently need your support to create a safe and inclusive environment for LGBT refugees. Every voice matters in this fight for equality and human rights.

My dream would be surviving and living a happy wonderful gay life, I understand many of the LGBT people are living that kind of life, but I want a life where by I can actually show how best gay🏳️‍🌈 I can be, how best I can move in public with my partner holding hands, how best I can hug and enjoy love without having any fear for anything, that's the best thing that I wish happened to me, unfortunately it can't happen now because of the community I am staying in, it's very illegal for someone to be LGBT, very negative, alot discrimination and abuse, we can't even work for ourselves, but we strain and survive, I don't know how best to escape this kind of reality, it's really not a good kind of reality, but I want to survive, atleast for a little more tomorrows hopes of things getting better. I hope to work on my dream, it might be difficult at the moment, but I am still not giving up,
