Today, we turn our attention to the often-overlooked but incredibly resilient members of the LGBTIQ community in Kakuma Refugee Camp. In a world where their voices are frequently silenced, it's vital to shine a light on their struggles and strengths. These brave individuals, despite facing unimaginable challenges, continue to fight for their identity and rights, embodying courage in its truest form. The LGBTIQ residents of Kakuma face unique challenges, battling not only the hardships of life in a refugee camp but also the added layer of discrimination and social ostracism due to their sexual orientation and gender identity. They navigate a daily life of uncertainty, often without adequate support or recognition. Their resilience in the face of such adversity is nothing short of inspiring, yet it's a battle they shouldn't have to fight alone. We stand in solidarity with the LGBTIQ community in Kakuma. Let's join hands in supporting them, whether through raising awareness, providing resources, or simply extending a message of love and acceptance. Every action, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in their lives. Together, we can help raise these lost souls, giving them the hope and recognition they rightfully deserve. https://gofund.me/6930e2d7

The situation in Kakuma Camp is really unbearable. All LGBTQIA+ people are under attack almost every day. We had a friend poisoned and many blessed because of the hatred that reigns in the camp- Kenya is on the way to introduce severe anti LGBTQIA+ laws on his territory,. Nobody gives us food, health care, security. We have a chance to flee to South Sudan, some refugees went there and because of war they have been ressettled in Western Countries. We want to go to South Sudan together with our group and we need money for the transport. We ask you to help us again with your donations so we can flee all together for a better life. Thanks once more for your support. God bless you!
Hello world, we're here begging for your help as LGBT refugees in kakuma refugee camp located in the turkana west of kenya, we have been in Kenya for four years of suffering up to now, all bad things happened to us and others lost lives. It's so unfortunate that right now Kenya doesn't want us anymore 💔, recently we had a dialogue with officials and they openly informed us that we're no longer accepted in Kenya and as am talking we're remaining 7 LGBT refugees in kakuma camp, unfortunately we haven't gotten any means of resources to help us relocate 💔 and any time soon they promised to check door to door, so we're all in fear of what may happen next! We need to raise 175,000ksh equivalent to 1,150USD.

Urgent Call for International Support: Rescue LGBTIQ Refugees Trapped in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya!
Today, I come to you with a pressing matter that requires our collective attention and immediate intervention. In the Kakuma Refugee Camp, located in Kenya, hundreds of LGBTIQ individuals are facing unimaginable hardships, persecution, and discrimination, solely based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.
It is heart-wrenching to witness these brave souls, already fleeing persecution in their home countries, enduring further torment in the camp. The camp's conditions are dire, and the discrimination against LGBTIQ individuals exacerbates an already challenging situation. These vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers are subjected to violence, harassment, sexual abuse and even death threats, with little to no protection or support system in place.
As human rights defenders/advocates for equality, justice, and human rights, we cannot stand idly by while our fellow human beings suffer. It is imperative that we raise our voices and demand the immediate intervention of the international community to rescue LGBTIQ refugees/asylum seekers trapped in Kakuma Refugee Camp.
First and foremost, we must call upon the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to prioritize the safety and well-being of LGBTIQ refugees in Kakuma. The UNHCR must take immediate action to ensure the provision of protection from violence against LGBTIQ asylum seekers/refugees in kakuma, Kenya.
We must also urge governments across the globe to extend their support in resettling these individuals to safer countries. It is crucial for countries to step up and provide assistance to those who are most vulnerable.
Additionally, we must mobilize civil society organizations, human rights activists, and influential individuals to raise awareness about this issue. By shedding light on the plight of LGBTIQ asylum seekers and refugees in Kakuma, we can put pressure on governments and international organizations to take immediate action.
Let us remember that our strength lies in our unity. Together, we can create an unstoppable force for change and rescue these individuals from the horrors they face. Join me in this urgent call for international support, and let us ensure that no person is left behind.

WHO IS SAFE IN KAKUMA REFUGEE CAMP?!?!
WHO IS SAFE IN KAKUMA REFUGEE CAMP?!?!
As UNHCR KENYA is busy telling the world that LGBTQ+ persons have integrated with the host community and the other non- LGBT refugees the LGBT members continue to face attacks from the same people.
A gay man's fence was set on fire and no UNHCR official that showed up afterwards they (UNHCR KENYA officials) tells the world that LGBTQ+members are safe in the community.
Calling upon every LGBT member in kakuma and around the world to fight against false spread by UNHCR KENYA.

Your silence will not protect you.
Im sharing an important message about the LGBTQ+ refugees and asylum seekers from kakuma refugee camp kenya and to all the people who believe in the justice and rights of the LGBTQ+ Persons. Inviting them to not fear of speaking up about the on going injustices in kakuma camp.
In times of conflicts and suffering, its important to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ refugees and asylum seekers with out taking sides. As an LGBTQ+ rights defender i reflect on our own history of struggle against illegal identity, just like us, these people have been facing constant aggression, harassment, destruction of culture, traditional values and most importantly freedoms, along with the destruction from community services.
This is done for along period of time to achieve agendas the real discrimination often lies in the Authorities entittled with community services. Lets work for a more just and peaceful world where we are treated with dignity and respect no matter our gender identity. When you are treated worse than an animal then you will became wasted. After the split of LGBTQ+ refugees and asylum seekers to different parts of the camp you forgot the religuous killings.
Dont speak about non violence when their is violence in everyone of us. When the homophobs treat the gays terribly. There is no mass media exposing who the real perpetrators are. There is no one now allowed to post the ongoing attacks in the camp because activist on the ground were all Summoned for no reason and intimidated to be imprisoned or repatriated to home country as a sign of shutting many of us down.

🏳️‍🌈 Urgent Call for Support for LGBT Refugees 🏳️‍🌈
Dear friends,
I'm reaching out to raise awareness about the dire situation faced by LGBT refugees in Gorom Refugee Settlement (South Sudan) and Kakuma Refugee Camp (Kenya). These individuals are experiencing unthinkable hardships, including attacks, assaults, threats, and discrimination based on their sexual orientation.
Children are being denied access to education simply because their parents are homosexuals. Job opportunities are being withheld, leaving LGBT refugees without means to support themselves. This discrimination not only robs them of their basic rights but also deprives them of essential resources.
Many LGBT refugees lack access to necessities such as proper nutrition, medical care, and education. Women with babies struggle to afford milk, and HIV-positive individuals cannot access the diet they need to stay healthy.
We urgently need your support to create a safe and inclusive environment for LGBT refugees. Every voice matters in this fight for equality and human rights.

Dear Activists,
If a loved one across town needed help, you’d respond immediately. Will you do the same for your global LGBTIQ “family”?
Families are the building blocks of life, the ones we grow up in, the ones we choose as we get older, the ones we form at work, school, and safe spaces like LGBTIQ centers and the ones we belong to because we are accepted within.
But right now, too many members of our extended global LGBTIQ family are living in great peril and danger.
In Uganda, being LGBTQ is punishable by death. LGBTIQ people have been called “enemies of society” and treated as such.
These LGBTQ refugees and asylum seekers in Kakuma refugee camp and many others are urgently asking for our help. And that’s why I’m asking you to advocate for us to get out of xenophobia.
Please join me this 2024 Pride to help tackle the threats facing our global LGBTIQ family.
Your generosity will provide advocacy and targeted programs to strengthen Activists leadership, advocacy, infrastructure, and other crucial support to LGBTIQ communities struggling to find ways to band together safely.
The tools will make possible and strengthen our global campaign's ability to collectively combat oppression, become more visible, and assert our humanity and dignity for change.
Activists working with LGBTIQ+ organizations and groups to fight for safety, human rights, and equality from the floors of the #UnitedNations to communities all over the globe.
What better way to celebrate Pride and our own families, than by supporting our extended family around the world with a generous contribution through advocacy.
Embrace our family members wherever they ask for help.
Thank you for your continued support!
In solidarity

HELP LGBTIQ IN KAKUMA - 10,000€
Dear friends and allies,
I am one of the 50 individuals among the LGBTIQ community living in the Kakuma refugee camp located in Turkana west county, Kenya. Unfortunately, this camp is a hostile community for us, with regular attacks, continues discrimination increased homophobia, serious death tolls, precious living conditions and restricted access to NGOs, injuries inflicted upon us. Therefore we're plea for support cannot be ignored. As we lgbtiq individuals we're calling upon for individuals and organisatios to support us in this critical situation , we're seeking for your support, assistance, guidance and collaboration in addressing this urgent matter so that we can survive and thrive in this situation.
We are raising 10,000€ for 50 individuals and further if the donations increases to facilitate the costs of food, medication, and other survival necessities like pads , clothes soaps so that we can atleast reduce the risks of lesbians who always selling off their bodies to get access for food and sanitary items for survival hence can lead them to sexually transmitted diseases like HIV, TB. Every pound you donate will make a real significant impact on innocent lives, helping us to survive and stay healthy in this horrible and difficult environment.
We also ask for your support in advocating for us, so that we can be resettled in a safe place where we can live without fear of persecution as Kenya is on way to introduce severe anti LGBTQIA laws on his territory. Any assistance in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Your voice can make a real difference in securing a better future for us.thank you for your time , consideration and dedication to the principal of justice and equality
Please consider making a donation to help us survive and thrive in Kakuma. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a real world of difference in our lives. Thank you for your support and compassion.
Sincerely,
The LGBTIQ community in Kakuma.
