Meditating with my Hailey. Animals are so in tune with our energy. Hailey is a pretty shy and calm girl, so she loves our mornings together in our meditation space at home. She even hops up on my lap to lay with me while I meditate or read, and trust me, she is NOT the type of cat to normally sit on your lap! Sure, it might make meditating a little less focused, but the happiness I get from it far outweighs the need to sit alone in quiet to meditate. I look forward to waking up every morning and starting my day with a smile, and you can too! Hard work pays off. When I got injured I was down for a few days, then re-focused and decided to make a change. I was getting lazy, going through the motions, distracted, not working very hard in or out of the gym. I’ve radically changed my mindset, and in turn my life in the process in a few short months. I’ve even had a “hater” comment on one of my posts, which means I’m doing something right! The quality of your life and body isn’t determined by what happens to you, it’s what you DO with what happens. Don’t play the victim, you can always improve on your position. I’m back and better than ever. I’d almost go as far as to say tearing my rear delt was the best thing that could’ve happened to me. I read a news article recently about a Mom who lost almost 200lbs after she broke a roller coaster seat. It took her getting to the point of breaking a seat, which I’d imagine would be terrifying on a roller coaster, to get her to realize that something needed to change! 6th Day in a row lifting, leg day number 2, hundreds of reps done in about 45mins. 25mins of walking on an incline on the treadmill. Done before 7:30am. No days off here, it’s not motivation it’s just habitual. My day starts at 5, I meditate and work until the work is done. No effort, motivation, or discipline needed to get me going.
