The Birthday Countdown so far:

It's the weekend and I'm still ill. This dodgy cough will not leave and it's very annoying. These are the art work for the Fifteen, Fourteen and Thirteen.

The theme of Halloween was accidental but considering my Birthday is on the 10th of October I think it suits.

More is on the way I've just got to work out what to do for today's (Twelfth Doctor).

That and because it's the weekend I'm going to try to fix my stories so that their at least readable.

Starting to think that giving myself a challenge on creating a piece of artwork and write a short story, on the same time, around the same timeframe was probably a stupid idea...😬

Ah well...

Have to say there wasn't a lot to use from this episode image wise so I had to wing it.

I'm out of sync now. Oops.

Finished off the piece for Eight but I'm not happy about it...

Tredecim Dies

This took way to long to make and it's mainly because I couldn't get settled on what kind of images to use.

Also doesn't help that I'm ill with a dry cough that doesn't want to shift, thanks to whoever it was that infected me. You're a git and I don't like you.

For today's countdown image I chose to do Arachnids of the UK because I have an alternative ending in mind for it.

The plan for the story is on my AO3. Will most likely be staying in so I can get rid of this ailment so I'll have time to write it up and to polish up the other short stories.

I hope you approve of this and other artworks.

Quindecim dies

[The countdown is back...but with a twist.

For each day alongside each artwork will be a corresponding short story that hopefully fits. All these works will be on my AO3 account (OrinokoMcGee) and also on here so please leave feedback.

For this one I chose an epilogue to Dot and Bubble because despite us not seeing it Lindy definitely got was coming to her even if it was unfortunately not shown. I decided to remedy this fact with a twist of my own.

FYI I didn't give myself enough time to write my short story and it's a little bit patchwork but fret not because I will be beefing them up as I go on.

This story is a little bit dark in themes but our boy cried tears for you and your insufferable friends so he deserves at least something damn it!!]

Nobody ever asked for these kind of stories

Basically I have written a third chapter to my rather daft story, Cosmic Zombie, a Doctor Who/iZombie mashup. I don't think anyone has read it yet. Then again nobody asked for a story where Ravi has been The Doctor in disguise the entire time and who when is found out kidnaps Blaine and takes him along on a intergalactic roadtrip...spacetrip?

The first chapter I wrote just to try and get my idea out.

The second chapter I wrote whilst trying to fend off an anxiety attack. It worked and I think it turned out brilliantly.

This new chapter I wrote because I bought a Bluetooth keyboard and basically it was excuse to write something. It's still not finished. There's a little bit more to do on it but I did remember to write notes so future me doesn't forget what to put down next. It's longer than the previous entries and I hope it's well received to anyone that was hoping someone would make something as ridiculous as this.

It is a little dark in this chapter and Blaine might be very OOC (borderline on Master energy).

So there's that.

Actually no that's a lie.

Started work on a Missy fic.

It's a standalone piece with my OC version of Perkins. It takes place after that scene where Missy is crying and Twelve briefly touches her hands in the most beautiful Twissy scene.

In Doctor Who we don't say I Love You, we touch hands ever so lightly and someone's crying so much that Nardole's had to put a wet floor sign down.

(Man I hope Thirteen meets up with Missy in the Big Finish world. I require Thrissy since we can't have Twissy anymore).

So yeah those Perkins art pieces I did ages ago, yeah this was what I wanted to do with it, for so long. Now I finally plucked up the courage (no excuse when you have a Bluetooth keyboard connected to a Kindle Fire is there?) and written something.

Anyone interested in these?

I know it's not Thoschei Thursday but I've finally finished off this Thrissy piece that I've tried to finish several times because I wasn't happy but it's here now to stay...probably.

There's lots of other pieces that need finishing and I have no idea when I'll be ready to complete them.

So a bunch of people over on Twitter/X were doing this Doctor Who episodes as S14/S1.0 titles challenge and heck I wanted to join in, so here's my interpretation of Blink.

Took a while to make. Lots of mucking about with different effects in order to get it to the point where it looked like the idea in my head.

I think it turned out pretty good. Will probably make some more at some point. Not a massive fan of the fonts on Pixlr but I think the one I chose works so...

Did you know that Takin' Over The Asylum turns 30 this year? Wouldn't it be awesome if we had a sequel.

You know what else turns 30 this year. Me.

Have something silly, that makes no sense. I call it Takin' Over The Universe. A Random AU that literally no one wanted or quite frankly ever needed.

I can't remember why I made this.

This originally manifested yonks ago last year and as per usual I abandoned it deeming unworthy of a post because I have issues with my art. It's something I can't turn off which is always fun.

From what I can recall this was a What If: The Master had a companion who was basically a Young Doctor or just a random young human.

Random universe taking over shenanigans.

I hope it looks at least decent.

So for context, this is from a fan fiction that I wrote last year (18th June 2022 to be exact) and I had no idea what was going to happen in the actual episode so I wrote down what came to mind. The speech involves The Doctor asking The Toymaker to come with him and in a rather romantic way too.

Genuinely wasn't expecting Fourteen to offer up companionship in the episode. Proper shocked. Consider my fiction the alternative Doctor speech with a Happy Ending...well sort of.

It's the first known DoctorMaker (Probably not the official pairing for these two dorks but that what I came up with) on AO3.

Basically it's what happened when a certain dancing video featuring Mr Tennant and Mr Harris popped up on Twitter. Twas a rather inspiring video as it brought fourth this little beauty.

At first I wasn't so keen on my hard work (I'm a slow writer, nothing was planned and thus I was winging it throughout - Thank you Dyspraxia!) I considered it cringe until I reread it several times and now I think it's rather good.

It's part of a series of stories that needs to be expanded on. It is not an abandoned project as I have certain ideas floating around the old noggin'.

If anyone was wondering, this random countdown (although not posted everyday) was for my Birthday which is today (10/10/23).

I am now a 29 year old and it feels odd.

I hope you've liked my Doctor Who countdown. There were some hit and misses along the way but I think this is going be my thing now. If I'm ever in need of a countdown I can use this, or just this every year to improve my skills.

I'm still trying to adjust to the fact that I still have a lot to learn when it comes to digital art and I really hope that at some point I can make something as impressive as the things you find on a professional looking DW poster or Big Finish story cover.

I find creating digital art like this relaxing as well as challenging. I have many ideas that just appear in my mind that I want to recreate and some of them are a doddle (mainly the happy accidents) some on the other hand are so fantastical that they're too complex to make. I get incredibly angry with myself when they don't end up how I wanted.

I shouldn't get angry, I'm still developing.

Anyhoo, that's the explanation.

I kind wish I started at 15 but I kept forgetting THAT AND I FORGOT JO MARTIN! (Screams in anguish).

Will probably update a bunch of these because I was either half asleep when I made them (having teenie weenie micro sleep moments as I was editing) or because I was only giving myself a couple of hours to come up with a plan, try and make something and then bung it onto the internet.

This is too long of an explanation isn't it?

Blame it on my "age".
