Sedona, Arizona #sliderock is by far one of the most beautiful places in the World. It’s a must see if you’re ever in Arizona. It’s also a ton of fun to go sliding down the natural water slides into deep pools of cold water on a hot day. It’s not nearly as hot as Phoenix in the summers. It being 2.5hrs North of the city of Phoenix, it actually snows in the winters here (which is another great time to come). We were fortunate enough to be there during a rain storm, which was much needed with the State on high alert for fires. Seeing the red rocks deepen in color as it rained was breath taking. God designed castles here. All the flavored Mac nuts were so yum! Kids loved getting an opportunity to crack them outside with the loose chickens and roosters running around. They don't just sell different flavored mac nuts, also sell Kona Coffee, hot sauces, oils and more! Dole Pineapple Plantation ... Not one I would recommend if you were only here a week. It's a time sucker and very touristy.. Meant to lure you to their expansive souvenir shop. We took the train ride, which was fine but if you were only here a week, I would pass this and go for the best of what the island has to offer. Dole Whip was nothing to write home about and if you're in Phoenix, you can get it local. So pass on this and keep heading North to Shark's Cove to really see what the island is all about! Turtles and tropical fish! Best part is... It's only a short drive north.. Just keep driving! I’ve been praying the same prayer for years. This prayer has sometimes been in agony, sometimes pleading, other times weeping & begging God. I have had my moments of anger towards God, yelling how can you allow this! What are you doing God? Where are you? That quiet still voice that I have become all too familiar with surfaces and say, “Be still & know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10 His words remind me that I have zero control and God is not a controlling God. In fact God gives each of us choices. He will continue to knock, continue to pursue, continue to point you in the way you should go... but ultimately it’s up to each one of us which direction we will go. So even though I may be praying for someone in particular, ultimately the choice is there’s. We can trust that God is doing a mighty work behind the scenes and if our desire for healing and change lines up with God’s word, than you better believe He’s on the same page and doing huge things we do not see to move in that persons life. It may take years to turn a situation around. And unfortunately in some cases it may never come to pass, because again God gives us each free will and we don’t always go towards the will and heart of God. Sometimes we choose to stay imprisoned in bondage and ensnared in the enemies lies. So what do we do while we wait? We follow His lead, we do what we know is right according to Gods word and we follow His example of love, patients, humility and courage. At the end of this dear friend, there is a reward. He promises us that in His word. So if this is you today and you feel discouraged by what appears to be unanswered prayers, I want to encourage you to keep doing what is right. God will reveal to each one of us this glory that will surpass your suffering. He knows your heart, He hears your pleading, His heart breaks over your same heartache. He loves you and He has you and He will reward you for “suffering well” my friend. Just got done with my second session with my personal trainer. This time I didn’t cry. This time I felt stronger. I think because the first time I allowed myself to cry. I released all that I was holding in. Like turning the page to the next chapter. Realizing how far I’ve come, how much I’ve overcome and today I realized how strong I actually am. Ready for God to continue to stretch me deeper than my fears would block me, giving me the trust to walk on water and lead me to a where He’s called me, where my Faith will be made STRONGER! This year has been a painful one, working through the feeling of rejection and abandonment and frustration as I wrestled with God on what He could possibly be doing. Everyday I sought Him for answers reading my Bible and I found the answers that were there all along. I am His. I am Treasured. I am Chosen. I Belong. I am Worthy. I am Valuable. I am a Gift... and no one can take that away because it’s imprinted on my soul. I am the Daughter of the most High. I am never abandoned by Him, He never loves me with conditions, He never rejects me. I am His daughter and it is written. He knew everything I would face before I faced it. He knew my heartbreak because it broke His heart first. He knew my pain because He felt it before I did. He knew that I had every weapon at my disposal to go into battle to face my enemy and I would over come and triumph in the end before I ever knew. He knew in my weakest moments when I questioned how I could go on, I would reach for Him and He would carry me through. He knew. He knows. He never left my side. The next chapter begins. I am a warrior on the inside and now I fight to win the battle to be a warrior on the outside. There is absolutely nothing I can’t do with Christ leading me through His Spirit and drinking from a unicorn coffee mug.
