I don’t think you guys understand- dicks parents died when he was fucking eight and yet he was never orphaned because Bruce was right there and picked up the slack as much as he was able to and dick never had to feel unloved or like he didn’t have a reliable parental figure he could always trust and fall back on and it just gives so much more depth to their relationship and their stories because they’ve been in each others lives for so fucking long and have such a deep connection because they’re two sides of the same coin and that is why dick will always forgive Bruce and why Bruce will always see dick as his greatest success and his one true successor because they pulled each other from the darkness and gave each other the family they had both lost.

do people who think talia would be a typical oppressive brown mother just want to ignore the thirty years of comics where she was portrayed as someone loving and kind who valued freedom and safety from the restricted environment of her home and from the havoc that her father’s and bruce’s endeavors wrecked upon her life to the point that she gave up her child to a normal family and walked away from her father and bruce to lead a normal life herself, to ignore the fact that she aspired to bruce bc he was noble and good and represented freedom for her, not bc he was the perfect specimen her father was vying for as an heir or bc she cared about him being the future of the world. like did we forget about that talia all of a sudden

while i reasonably understand that having any sort of distinguishing feature eg freckles, specific scars, moles, piercings would make the whole secret identity thing kinda redundant and obvious. in my heart of hearts dick grayson has his ears pierced and has beauty marks cmonnn dc.

actually now that i'm thinking about it, every time DC or fanon woobifies Tim into a teary-eyed pushove or denies us the fact that Tim was originally only like 2-3 years younger than Jason, they're denying us So Much. Every single conflict between the two gets 10 times funnier when you hold this. This isn't "the big scary Jason" and "the anxious Tim" it's "Jason and Tim, who in another world would've been the very angry debate team co-club leaders and Tim will be playing Devil's advocate"
