Comic artist should spend more time analysing what a character would wear im so serious I hate these ugly h&m fits. What happened to charas having unique styles and outfits.

i feel like comic writers are forgetting the importance a hero’s civilian life. if you’re drawing them in costume so much i have no idea what their sense of style is like out of costume then we have a problem.

~ Batman: Black and White
So, it is canon that some folks do think Bruce is a pedophile who took Dick in to prey on him. Not just these kids, but probably also adults in their life they would have heard it from.
Anyway, this story is about Dick's insecurities when he started living in Gotham and being Robin, and how he felt like nobody believed in him. Firstly, his classmates judge him, then it's the cops that disapprove of a child on the field (Gotta love the viewpoint of Dick being like "they think I'm not good enough" because, while adults are worried about a kid fighting crime, he takes it as a personal offense) One person is shown to believe in him, it's Bruce. Even if Dick is worried about Batman believing in him, it is shown since the beginning with Bruce telling him that Dick has to be better than him. Bruce having expectations for Dick here is him believing Dick is not just good enough, he is better. And in the end, Dick is the one to catch the bad guy, so take that Gotham! Batman was right!
On a side note, Bruce being a dad. Dick saying, thinking he is speaking to Alfred, not to tell Bruce implies that Bruce is doing the parenting and the lecturing, and Alfred can disapprove, but he is not taking the role of Bruce, and may be bought to not tell Bruce. But also, the end, with him taking off his cape to give it to Robin, so he isn't cold without his. And the hand on the shoulder, keeping his kid close. Adorable. He is probably looking so proud of his boy.

It’s funny in a kind of sad way how protective Bruce was over Tim, and now the writers are so desperate for shock value instead of just good, fun, entertaining stories that somehow this intensely protective man hit this same kid so hard in the chin he flew to the floor.
Somethings just inherently wrong nowadays with how the writers write these characters. They just stopped caring.
I highly recommend Batman: Legacy, it’s a really fun but also tense book. It reminds me of the fun of Indiana Jones movies once it gets going but the dramatic plot points of disasters movies in the beginning and end and a genuine tense tone the whole way going.
It’s a fun read, and the characters are done really well with genuine emotions and character moments that really set in tone how far a lot of the current comics fallen do to all the lazy writing and constant shock value.
