My grandma just called and, among other things, said “You have hips. That’s good! Men like hips!” and then she interrupted herself to say “Women like hips. People of your preferred gender like hips. I can never remember”  And I was like “Thanks grandma! My preferred gender is none of them, no thanks.” and she was like “Okay, no one will comment on your hips!” very self satisfied, like “aha, I have figured it out” I think like half her grandkids are some variety of not-straight and she can’t always remember which is which but she is the epitome of like “she’s a little confused, but she’s got the spirit!”

So, about that hiatus...

Hey guys! You may have noticed (or maybe you didn't) that I havent posted anything for about 6 weeks. I rambled on about it in the tags of my last post, but I really don't know how many people even read that.

I was abroad for the last 6 weeks. I spent 4 weeks in Berlin to study German, and then I spent the 2 subsequent weeks solo travelling around Europe. It was an awesome experience, and I really think that everyone should try travelling alone if they ever get the opportunity.

Anyway, I'm back in the USA now, so that means I'll be posting regularly again. I'm hoping to be more active on this account than I have been in the past, and I will also be posting more regularly to my Instagram (@lauren.e.cassidy).

If you even noticed my absense, thanks for your patience. If you didn't notice I hadn't posted in a while, then just know you'll be seeing more of me anyway.
