Traditional south indian dish in Mauritius. In total 7 curries/accompaniments which includes rice, dhall, banana in masala, beans in masala, pumpkin, rassam, appalam, payassam. A dish to be tried atleast once. Even those with a light stomach should experience the feeling of the spices and chili in the mouth. A beautiful blend of tastes served during weddings and prayers; relished by some and feared by others 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Galette des Rois bought at Le Fournil bakery in Grand Baie, the north of Mauritius which is very popular among tourists.

A place to be for a sumptuous taste and delicious things. This famous french cake named "galette des rois" came out to be the one and only i have eaten in my life. Sweet, creamy, crunchy and formidable. Un dessert de roi comme le veut son nom.

In our haste to taste, we should not forget the small memento king hiding somewhere in the cake. Only those who are lucky will find it with their hands, or feel it under their teeth. Careful not to swallow the king!!!

A new year coming our way. 2018 is now a matter of the past but the experiences from that year have shaped our lives differently. Our mistakes in mind, we move ahead with the thought of not repeating same for this year. Our happy days in mind, we set forth to recreating them and make them better. And, our resolutions in mind, we carry forward the tradition of not fulfilling them. Happy new year world!!
