this is so true actually... can we normalized superman crashing the fuck out as a conflict though. not like hurting people intentionally or becoming evil.

ok ive been thinking about this... like it has to be hard to express anger and frustration when you can destroy a city on a wim and people know it. added onto the fact that he's almost always in the public eye while using his powers, so he really has to keep up an image.

he spends an entire day and an entire night and an entire day again saving people from getting robbed and cats from trees and other incredibly mundane events that would be nothing but a minor inconvenience to him but they're stacking up. then, oh shit, he was too busy making sure this little old lady doesn't get run over in the middle of metropolis to realize he's missing the date he scheduled with lois. and, oh FUCK. he has an article he has to finish by 7 and it's 6:30 and it feels like he's in college again.

then, as he's processing all of this information and his inevitable cram time he's about to have to put in, some angry civilian throws a can at him. he takes it, and just out of anger, throws it as hard as possible into the nearest building. and then it shoots through the building at what's almost the speed of light. civilians scream. and now there's a hole in the wall.

and then like... the collateral damage just increases as the things that are stressing him out get more serious.. like, post alien invasion clark just throws are car and almost hits someone in what he thought was an empty city because he's so annoyed. and he always ALWAYS immediately feels guilty. without fail.

hot (?) take but i’m tired of clark discovering Jor-El’s hologram in the fortress and them looking alike to show that they are Father and Son

i think Clark should look like Lara. i think he should look so much like her that he is plagued with some kind of profound sadness when he realizes he has her eyes and her nose and her curly hair after looking at a picture of her, but he knows next to nothing about her.
