the FACT that jace is “normal” is what makes him weird to me. why arent you weird. you should be weird. one of the most unvalyrian looking targs born out of wedlock and instead of developing a Complex about it he just shrugs and says “i have a dragon”. his biological father dies under mysterious circumstances. his legal father is killed under mysterious circumstances. THEN his mother marries his granduncle who may or may not have been involved in both of his fathers deaths. still doesnt act out about it. is still mommys #1 boy.
literally what is going on inside his head. what kind of mental gymnastics is he preforming.

*sighs in why are there whole cishet hating communities on tumblr* why can't we accept that cishets aren't all evil just because some members of that group don't like us, coming from a bisexual

You should put your age in your bio; it's just Tumblr etiquette. A lot of people feel uncomfortable interacting with minors on here. Have a nice day.
Not interested in telling internet strangers my age, real name, or ANYTHING about me besides my thoughts/opinions on fandoms I'm in or topics that interest me. ☺️
I don't care if it's "just Tumblr etiquette," it makes me uncomfortable to share personal information about myself online. Have a good day, anon.

selfshipping is not a proshit term, multishipping is not a proshit term. self inserts and polyamory (or liking someone different in a different universe) are literally healthy and have no real life consiquences unlike m x a or necro. antis will not bash you for dating a fictional character or liking more than 1 pairing with a character, dont let proshitters try to convince you otherwise, you are welcome here.

Radqueers say antis are evil manipulators who want a binary system where no one is allowed to express themselves. Antis say radqueers are groomers who are all pro-contact and identify as "transnazi" and will manipulate you into being anti recovery. Sure, there are a few truths to each of these perspectives, but as someone who browses both anti and pro blogs, many of the more extreme assumptions each side has for the other are not true or misunderstood. I really think that both factions in this discussion should pay more attention to each other so they know who the enemy actually is. Personally I am an anti, but this post is for people of any opinion. Know your enemy before hating on them, everyone!

My thoughts exactly while watching this show. While I normally don't like raceswapping, this one is an inconsequential as changing a character's hair color.
Why the casting of Steve Toussaint as Corlys Velaryon doesn't bother me
...and why it shouldn't bother anyone else!
Now, in the beginning, I was mad about black Westerosi nobles because I didn't know too much about Game of Thrones lore. I knew that, ethnically, Westerosi people are nearly always white (with the exception of the Dornish) and were never Black. You can understand why such a lapse in canon would bother me. But after rewatching House of the Dragon, I was reminded that House Velaryon is not from Westeros, but hails from Old Valyria—which was in Essos. Per Game of Thrones canon, Black people DO ethnically come from Essos, so realistically a Valyrian noble house could easily have been Black. Everyone who says Corlys Velaryon shouldn't have been played by a Black man in House of the Dragon is just a racist piece of shit, confirmed.

I fucking hate, hate, hate everything radqueer stands for. It's disgusting and I hate that they're on tumblr.
Alright, I’m gonna make a post talking about BIID and how the radqueer community grooms kids into their gross ideas. Warning for mentions of anti-recovery ideas, grooming, childhood trauma, bigotry, and y’know, radqueer shit.
So, I have BIID. This is a disorder where one has the desire to amputate a healthy limb. Without going too much into detail, it is caused by my trauma relating to amputations from when I was a little kid. Now, seeing kids calling themselves “transabled” is horrifying to me. Let me explain;
Currently, there is no known cure for BIID. However, that doesn’t mean one should go through with amputation (or, in some cases, blinding or paralysis). This can cause many, many problems considering one would quite literally be disabling themself. Sometimes, simulating, and, in mine and some other’s cases, drawing, can help ease the discomfort of BIID without the need to disable yourself.
(I also want to add that I do not blame those with BIID who’s discomfort was too much and who went through with disabling themself. It is a disorder, and not everyone has access to things that can help them, nor will anyone fully be “cured” by things made to help them. You are not to blame.)
The transabled community, however, actively encourages this, as well as actively discourages seeking help. They claim people advocating to not disable yourself are “basically transphobic”. You can even find posts mocking those struggling with BIID.
Tumblr media
And it doesn’t just stop at amputation.
This community also believes that one can “transition” into mental disabilities, and gives tips on how to give yourself these disabilities. Just scrolling through the “transabled” tag you can find people giving “advice” on how to get or act like you have these things.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, let’s say you’re a kid with BIID. You find this community of people mocking those who are looking to recover, and are encouraging and even praising your disorder. Well, it doesn’t stop there. Let’s say you decide that you’re “transabled” and look into the community. And now, you find that not only do they discourage recovery for things like BIID, they also discourage recovery for harmful paraphilias.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only are they ‘pro-contact’ for things like actual pedophilia, they also promote the idea that minors being attracted to adults (a normal thing, btw) is actually being an AAM (adult attracted minor) and also believe that these minors should seek out adults. I can’t show screenshots because looking up “AAM” on Tumblr would put me on a watchlist. That’s how bad it is. I do, however, have examples of radqueers ENCOURAGING minor/adult relationships.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, boom, you’ve got the perfect recipe for grooming. And, oh, did I mention the “transrapist” and “transnazi” stuff? Because yea, that exists too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I could go on and on about how awful this community is. It blatantly manages to capture every sort of bigotry imaginable all while grooming kids and pretending it’s the most inclusive community on Earth.
Be aware.

Sad Inability to See the Writing on the Wall
I was watching Kit’s appearance at the GOT Convention where he stated (somewhat apologetically) that he thought killing Dany was the right ending for the show. Its kind of sad that he has to be apologetic and also to qualify his remarks by saying something to the effect of “it’s ok if you see it differently.”  There was reportedly a backlash against him on twitter because he dared to state the obvious.
It all makes me wonder what universe Dany’s champions are inhabiting.  Do they really believe the book(s) are going to end differently for Jon/Dany when the ending makes so much sense for Jon Snow as the protagonist? He’s half Stark, half Targaryen, and he must choose between these two aspects of himself. He is effectively ending the Targaryen Dynasty by killing Dany, and plot wise, it all makes perfect sense. The two Ds made a lot of errors in judgement for seasons seven and eight, but significantly altering the end point of Jon and Dany’s trajectory from Martin’s plan was not something they would have had the temerity to do.  It's convenient to blame them though, because the books aren't published yet.
But some are apparently living in a fantasy world, even saying that Dany is going to be resurrected and will get back together with Jon Snow. It’s one of the most ridiculous theories ever. If it happened (which it won’t), it would ruin the elegance and symmetry of Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire. He will never write that, nor would he approve of it being part of any sequels about Jon based on the upcoming books.
But the character of Daenerys has been deceiving people all along. I mean those show characters who saw with their own eyes how cold blooded Dany was when possessed by her “fire and blood” Targaryen persona but remained blind to that brutality. Crucifixions and burnings were not enough to turn them against her because they became dazzled by her “charisma” and smitten by the dragons.
The Starks and Jon Snow are the antithesis of Dany, and that’s ultimately why Jon Snow had to make his choice. It’s also why Kit Harington is right.

Why did the dragons die out? My theory
I'll just jump right into it—it's implied that the dragons went extinct because they were kept locked away in the Dragonpit for generations and gradually became smaller and weaker. This just doesn't make sense to me. The conditions of the parents does not genetically affect the children. This reminds me of that study they did in the 1800s where they cut off the tails of mice, had the mice breed, and *surprise, surprise* the offspring's tail were intact. The baby dragons would not wither because their parents were kept locked up. Maybe they would not have the best health, but it wouldn't cause the deformities that we hear about in the last dragons. I think inbreeding probably played a role, considering there were only three original dragons in Westeros (Balerion, Meraxes, and Vhagar) and theres no telling how inbred the Targaryen dragons already were coming from the Valyrian Freehold. Balerion and Vhagar are a confirmed mated pair, for example, and it's possible that Vhagar could be Balerion's daughter since she hatched on Dragonstone. The other theory I have that I don't think is possible is that parthenogenesis, the act of one parent solely creating an offspring, led to genetic malformations and eventually the dragon's downfall. However, I don't think dragons reproduce asexually considering that offspring of parthenogenesis are not fact cooper of their parents and obviously not all dragons look and behave identically.
TL;DR: The dragons are so inbred they died :p
