i hope you all remember that aquarium episode where loid was focusing on the penguins to find the one that hid the information and yor mistook it as him being just really into penguins. i actually want him to be really into penguins. i want him to win 2 PENGUIN PLUSHIES. one for anya and one for himself. i want yor to give him a tiny penguin key chain for a present. i want him to say a small "thank yuo" but his smile is all wobbly and his hands are shaking and his face is all hot and he is not cool he is freaking out he is freaking out cause omg how did she know he loved penguins. i want this to be the reason he absolutely fell down the stairs of love. i just want him to have a little special interest and a giant crush thats it is that so hard to ask

even though i know i know it's been.... a few weeks after the latest chapter, BUT i still wanna have my take on loid's reaction!

now i know a lot of people were upset at how nonchalant his reaction was to his 6 (4) year old daughter just survive a bus hijacking, hell even i was too, but after some digging i realized his reaction was actually reasonable for his character

canon loid and fanon loid are very mixed together but there is a faint line between them. a lot of people see canon loid as a cold and heartless spy while we can see in some of the novels that he regrets everything he's done and genuinely loves his family, but not in a traditional way ofc. he isn't still fully comfortable showing his [redacted] side to them but we can still see that he genuinely cares for them

loid came from bayan, and from sylvia's dialogue it could be a while before he came back, and the hijacking occured the same day he was sent to work. loid came to check on her around the night, and since we can see that it's around the 1960s, that means that travel was a lot more slower, which means that as soon as loid heard about the hijacking, he ran!!!!!

i think it's important to remember that loid has gone throught quite a bunch in his childhood and before the mission which means that by default he would obviously close his emotions to any outsiders as a form of protection. trust takes time, and for loid the development of trust is going to be a lot slower, but he's taking some big steps!!! we just gotta be patient

i remember this one time i was scrolling through twitter just looking at people's headcanons and someone said he could possibly be loid's dad and holy shit they might be right

look at him and then look at his father

even thought the only memory loid has of his father is just his lower half of his face, the resemblance is kinda uncanny and i wanna see a heartbreaking father-son reunion in the future
