reblog from my veg and plant mindfulness blog waaaay less serious than this one lol just a bit of a joke
water my plants with me * tarot
Tumblr media
🌱 string of hearts - the moon
upcoming you are attracting blocked energy that isn't yours. fortunately this is VERY easy to remove because it is NOT your negativity. check for sources in your life and as the water flows into the plant pots inagine it as a grey smoke that the water is washing away 🌊
🌱 string of beads - the star
new energy is entering your life. imagine the water flowing into you. count as the water flows into the plant pots. imagine drops of rain softly falling on your shoulders. the new energy is yet of undifferentiated potential. imagine it growing into what you want it to be 🌱
🌱 pothos - the tower
like a pothos propagating in a jar of water, you may feel like you lack roots. something has been pulled out from under you. not 'going to be'but has been. is something missing or has something caused an upheaval? imagine the water not as unrootedness but as freedom for your roots to grow.
🌱 sweet potato - the world
yes it's a sweet potato. this is a very calming plant to grow if you want and it's dead easy just chop it in half and put it in water. it also purifies the air 🌨 🌚 it's amazing to grow in your bedroom and will get you a better night's sleep. ok, if you picked this, you are surrounded by something that is overwhelming you, but in a good way the world is a great card but also very powerful you may feel exhausted after reaching your goal. the four corners of this card bring together elements and opposites that will help you integrate the next steps. this is what you should be focussing on right now ... and it will all flow for you.

Pluto Aspects - Why You Can't Sleep At Night
Inspired by the poll I did as I found it cool that people would be so interested in this topic. I am really into sleep and dream astrology because I get WACKY dreams
Did some of these with tarot as I haven't personally observed every one. However I find my deck to be very accurate regards personality and these all seemed to fit so as always take what resonates and leave the rest
What's more, in the modern world we identify a lot with our conscious mind and are our of sync with our subconscious and instincts. Paying attention to your sleep and tuning back into your sleep cycle can help you become more aware of this and your intuition too.
As a permaculture designer I have a lot of observations on how we are out of touch with nature and our more holistic side loosely compiled in this masterlist here.
Conjunct:
Sun - you identify too much with your dreams
Mercury - you may feel hampered or hounded by memories of things you wish you had or hadn't said
Moon - old emotions and things you'd rather not feel come up at night...
Venus - you can't stop thinking of what you want to manifest
Mars - you are too wound up during the day and carry the unconscious energy of 1000 things you wish hadn't happened
Opposition:
Sun - you feel worried by your dreams or what you might discover when your mind as no distractions
Mercury - you feel like you are out of tune with yourself and carry too many pressures from other people
Moon - you are one of the most likely ones to experience weird feelings, energies, or desires when you get into bed and try to fall asleep. sometimes there is an odd atmosphere in the room.
Venus - you feel inadequate or apprehensive about your worth and value. subconscious insecurity
Mars - you have pent up anger that you haven't released and may get too involved in fantasies where you come out on top
Square:
Sun - there is something unconfirmed, in conflict, hidden, or unfinished about your identity
Mercury - you are experiencing a subconscious or spiritual blockage at the moment
Moon - you are scared of somethig about yourself
Venus - you feel like your worth or value is judged or like you may be missing or hiding part of your value from yourself
Mars - the well known mars pluto aspect, this can keep you awake because you feel persecuted, hunted or harassed in your waking life. by focussing on your root (if you can) and grounding and centering yourself you can approach and manage this difficult aspect with more spiritual strength
Trine:
Sun - you are kept up because you have too many ideas or feel inspired. Alternatively you may be kept up thinking about what other people think of you :/
Mercury - You may be excited by new possibilities and kept up due to too much focus on spiritual things without grounding. This aspect can get REALLY deep into stuff like astral projection etc.
Moon - you may feel overwhelmed and unable to interpret your own emotions
Venus - something or someone from a past life is influencing or visiting you
Mars - you have got into an intense or dark relationship that, while fulfilling, may be overwhelming you

Hi! Could you tell me why someone would identify significantly more with their ascendent sign and not feel especially described by the other two?
Hey, huge apologies for the slow response, I try to get to asks as soon as I can but sometimes have to juggle with other commitments. This is a super interesting question!
Honestly there are all sorts of reasons, up to and including life experiences that may guide a person that way. But off the top of my head here are some of the main ones:
you have multiple planets in the same house as the ascendant, which can amplify the energy of pretty much everything in that house
you have significant aspects to your ascendant, that might ensure it plays a huge part in your life and thus can encourage you to identify with it
you have other placements that imply you might identify a lot with your 'public self'. these can include multiple planets in the 2nd, 3rd, 10th or 11th houses, significant saturn aspects (this can make you more conscious of fitting into the crowd) or even a stellium elsewhere could make you identify more with your ascendant.
The ascendant falls in a highly personal house, such as the 4th or 7th
your chart ruler (the planet that rules the sign in which the ascendant falls) has significant aspects. e.g. ascendant is in aries, and your mars is part of a grand trine (three planets aspecting each other in a trine). this can make the energy of your chart ruler and thus ascendant quite intense
These are just some of the reasons! As always, a case of take what you want and leave the rest, but hopefully this can point you more in the right direction. I'm also open to DMs if you're curious.

hi i hope you have a lovely day. Have you seen my chart before? If so I apologize please let me know, can't remember. But I was wondering if you can tell me a few things like my true dominant planets and if i have creative/attractive/spiritual/religious placements? Is jupiter in 8th or 9th? An aspect i have, moon trine venus is at 8 degrees but it it still ok? What female placements including sun, moon and rising are compatible? https://i.ibb.co/FHgPPM9/astro-2gw-darren-marquardt-24316-116785.png.
I don't know if astro.com or astro-seek are accurate...they tell me different things.
That is all, but if you remember this chart i probably forgot i sent it before sorry lol. I would be so grateful.
I wish I had money for a reading but not during this time sorry ha. While I would appreciate it, if not no problem. Thank you
my info is January 16th 1987, 5:44 pm in Bellevue Washington
Hey, sorry it took me a while to get round to answering, and fyi no, you haven't sent it before so dw. But even if you had no worries.
There is quite a bit here and I could go lots of places with it so I might dm you tbh, but I can break down some answers to your main questions in bullet points:
ultimately all sites like astro seek or astro.com will say their own thing about your placements. My biggest advice would be to consult multiple sources including people in person plus websites, books, etc, if you really want to get a clear idea because at heart your chart doesn't change, but these sites will have some level of simplifying going on so they can provide answers quickly and easily to people
I would say your Jupiter is in 9th but because it is on the cusp either way it is likely to have qualities of both 8th and 9th. 9th house has quite philosophical energy and 8th often churns up unexpected surprises and can result in unusual ways of seeing the world. Jupiter has expansive energy, so you may find that you go on lots of journeys of personal growth or have investigated different ways of looking at the world.
moon trine venus - degrees may not make a whole amount of difference to the actual quality of the aspect - aside from making it relatively stronger or weaker. The aspect itself stays the same and this is a pretty good aspect!
compatible synastry placements - at a general level, because of your leo moon, I would look for an earth sign who has the ability to ground your emotions. Potentially an earth moon sign. You have a great opportunity that your moon trine venus aspect can allow you to grow within a relationship with a complementary partner.
I'm about to dm you as I feel like there is a bit more here than I can do in one go, but no worries about sending the chart, it's actually the first time I have got an ask with a chart and it's super helpful to put all the info in one place!

Hi, I've been wondering, since I'm just recently knows about placement, planets in astrology. So I just got myself a complete Natal chart.
Is having 5 planets in one house bad ? I have Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Pluto and North node in the 7th house.
Also my sun sign is Libra, but both my moon and ascendant are Aries ? Is this make me more of an aries than a libra ? Or maybe am I more of a scorpio ? since i have scorpio in 5 planets, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Pluto and North Node.
Sorry for asking so many questions. I'm just so curious about this, since I only just found out about Natal chart.
Hey, aorry I took a while to get round to answering this!
Five planets in one house is not mecessarily bad (in my opinion), but it is INTENSE. It also depends on the house they are in because some areas of life can be more difficult to deal with than others depending on the rest of your chart
In your case it's the seventh house, which can go either way - if it was the 12th that could be totally gnarly if you get me, the 8th would also be difficult to deal with. However None of the planets you listed, except potentially pluto (depending on how you look at it) are malefic planets. Meaning these are more benevolent planets that have less potential for being difficult to handle. To get a full picture, I would have to look at your whole chart to see what else is aspecting those planets. Happy for you to DM me if you want, just let me know you are the anon with the 4 planets in 7th (North Node is technically a point as opposed to a planet, but I can definitely see how you would still want ro factor in it's influence)
As for whether you are more like your moon and ascendant than your sun, this isn't a hard and fast rule and it can depend on what planets are transiting your chart at the moment, which can influence what parts of your personality you have to lean upon. Everyone is growing and developing all the time, so you may identify more with some parts of your chart than others at different stages of life.
If I was going to give you a strict answer, I would say you probably might find your ascendant and moon in aries come into play more heavily than you might except relative to your sun sign! It doesn't mean you are 'more' of an aries as your sun, or sense of self, is still in libra - nothing can change you being a libra sun. Yet you may find a very strong aries influence in your life to the point that it helps to focus on aries and read more about it.
Lastly, the moon and ascendant often play a role in relationships, which are partly influenced by the 7th house. So as you have such a strong amount of energy in the 7th, it can make sense to expect a lot of influence from your moon and ascendant in your life. Likewise the large amount of planets in scorpio doesn't 'make' you equivalent to a scorpio sun - you're still a libra sun! But factoring your 7th house in can definitely help you when examining your chart :)
And remember, you are not 'just' your sun sign - moon, ascendant, venus etc all are important. So in your case I would treat yourself as a libra sun but remember your 7th house, scorpio planets, and aries moon and ascendant probably play a heavy role in influencing the 'flavour' and 'character' of your sun sign and your chart overall.
Again, apologies for being so slow to answer this but I wanted to make sure to do it properly :) This is a pretty intense chart you have and it definitely raises some important questions as you have sent, so don't hesitate to DM me if you want. If you enjoy this kind of thing, btw, you may also enjoy using tarot cards to aak further questions about your chart :)

Poll Results
Thanks to everybody who voted for what my next post should be !!! Poll results definitely surprised me, the top topic was:
"Why miscommunications happen online" - your mercury placements
but the surprising part was the runner up which was almost neck and neck with the winner:
"pluto placements - why you can't sleep at night"
So because of the close tie, I'm going to do both, watch this space and once again thank you if you participated :) really appreciate the fact people are enjoying...

Where shadow work glitches and how to fix, by pluto house
another post in the meanwhile because i got bored...
... next after this will be the one you guys chose on the poll! thanks to everyone who answered, means a lot to me :)
Ok, so your pluto sign may be pretty nuch the same as everyone else in your generation, but even if there isn't much diversity in pluto signs, there is definitely diversity in pluto houses
pluto is the planet of the shadow and all that we are unconscious of. however this will have it's own specific vibe or colour depending on house. shadow work and making this stuff conscious (so it does not control you!) is way harder than it needs to be because unfortunately our modern lifestyle is totally screwed up and has disrupted our ability to introspect spiritually or embark on any form of personal development. so what are your common pitfalls/your achilles heel based on the house your pluto is in? and how can you transform it into something positive?
HOW IT WORKS - by house - YOUR SHADOW WORK GLITCH OR MOST LIKELY PROBLEM | followed by - HOW YOU CAN REFRAME IT OR TRANSFORM IT INTO A POSITIVE
🌌 pluto in 1st house - over intellectualising it. transform into: you have an amazing capacity to build struggles into a new identity ans grow from the difficult things which have happened to you.
🌌 2nd house pluto - being too hampered down by what people may think of you. transform it into: noticing projection and reflection, a powerful ability to influence those around you for the better
🌌 3rd house pluto - talk and no action, blurting things out, need to concentrate on thought before action. transform it into: an incredible ability to 'read between the lines' and subtly work out how to say the right thing in ANY situation
🌌 pluto in 4th house - childhood baggage. transform it into: an ability to break patterns not just for yourself but for other people. you have the ability to be a good influence to those around you - not by giving too much of yourself, but naturally, by your energy.
🌌 pluto in 5th house - being ruled by your emotions to the point of them becoming unbearable. transform it into: an ability to use your darkest emotions as a powerful drive for good. basically, they can fuel you, as opposed to controlling you.
🌌 6th house pluto - somaticising emotions so you don't know what you feel. transform it into: being able to reconnect with your body, strengthening energetic boundaries, and a strong ability to sense energy and understand how to use your 'gut feeling'
🌌 7th house pluto - 'one true problem' / magic bullet fallacy. you keep searching for the one thing that will helpp, without knowing the answer may lie on multiple places. transform it into: powerful focus and dedication, yet without losing yourself in one goal. an ability to follow any resolution you set yourself through to the end
🌌 8th house pluto - expecting immediate results and ignoring small changes. you guys are INTENSE. when results from shadow work are not similarly intense, you may feel as if mothing has happened. transform it into: an ability to notice and draw from the snall and subtle changes, getting as much potential from them as possible
🌌 9th house pluto - getting too into it. sounds weird because it can be hard to confront your shadow. but the intellectual stimulation shadow work gives you can often mean you may start identifying with it. transform it into: an ability to share your bravery with others. you don't have to become the therapist friend, but you can definitely help thise who are less confident at confronting themselves
🌌 pluto in 10th house - focusing on achievement and results, not your feelings. transform it into: setting emotional goals, an ability to master your emotions without suppressing them, a real skill that will support you through many situations
🌌 pluto in 11th house - lacking a sense of self before you start. transform it into: a genuine opportunity to find your trye self without the need yo create a mask or have a persona you show to the world, in the shadiw work process uou have the ability to synthesise both the desired and less desired parts of yourself into a complete whole
🌌 12th house pluto - not knowing what shadow work looks like or means for you. transform it into: a genuine opportunity to be totally OBJECTIVE with yourself, seeing what you TRULY need and not what you want to see
this is part of a series on 'how to shadow work in the modern world'. over the past 100 years humanity has gone through immense social changes, and not all of these are aligned with human nature spiritually. thus, we experience more blocks, life seems harder, and shadow work encounters more blockages.
hopefully these posts can give a hint as to how to realign. as with everything, take what resonates, leave the rest. for the post masterlist, see here.

variety of assorted mushrooms and fungi i saw
fungi only grow, like lichens, where the air is really clean. they are a sign that the mycorrhizal network in the soil is in good condition, they are actually the fruiting bodies of the fungal hyphae (sort of like a rose or a rosehip)
mushrooms are ruled by pluto and venus in astrology, venus due to their connections to taurus and their vital role in the generation of all living things, pluto due to their underground nature and the fact they spend a large part of their lives hidden
anyway, these ones were pretty cute, wish I was better at identifying

Happy Holliday! I would love to read interesting observations and thoughts you have for aspect Mercury trine mars natal. Thank you ♡♡♡
Hi, apologies I only just got around to answering this!
It depends a lot on which sign and house they are in. But as a general rule ~
You can expect these people to be good at debate
may be good at taking the lead in situations and public speaking
unlike mercury square mars, they don't often say the wrong thing, but when they were younger they may have had to learn restraint in conversation
good at thinking up quick and witty comebacks
may have a tendency to become keyboard warriors if they are stressed
can feel like a lot of people are idiots, or 'can't keep up with them' in conversations
great at building a social media following
may get involved in online discourse/drama
good with old fashioned courtship, wooing people, and things like love notes
Remember, these are just my thoughts though - take what resonates and leave the rest. But all in all this is a pretty good placement to have. You're also probably good in job interviews :)

Why you may be blocked - by ascendant sign
the ascendent, representing our public facing self, can be correlated with the concept of the super ego in psychology. this is the part of us which keeps our darker nature and our shadow in check. it helps us exist in a society with different views and get along with others, and is crucial for forming our identities. yet because of this nature it can sometimes block us from fully understanding our shadow, making shadow work and freeing blockages challenging.
NB Modern people are WAY WAY too identified with our ascendant and as a result less in tune with our shadow which means it can come back to bite us. This is when we act in cruel or unnatural ways to others, feel like we've 'given in' to our dark side and so on.
The shadow is not BAD it's just unexpressed because it's the stuff we oftern were not allowed to express. However this makes it POWERFUL and by extension a bit dangerous. Again not because it's bad but just in the same way the ocean can be dangerous...
🌩 asc in aries - you feel pressure to one up people. your relief lies in comparing you to you, not you to others
🌩 asc in taurus - you feel deprived or harrassed. your ascendant doesn't feel natural to you, giving you this feeling of never getting a moment of peace
🌩 asc in gemini - you struggle to develop an identity. you focus on what you're saying as opposed to why, leaving you without inner convictions
🌩 asc in cancer - you wear your heart on your sleeve, and it is getting exploited because it's the bit you show to others most
🌩 asc in leo - you feel pressure to achieve, otherwise your identity will crumble. your dream and aim is to base it around something utterly different
🌩 asc in virgo - you get used as the therapist friend. you may have been pretending that you don't mind this, but it still has an affect at a subconscious level
🌩 asc in libra - you feel responsible for other peoples baggage, even though you had nothing to do with it
🌩 asc in scorpio- you are a social chameleon. separating what is yours and what is others' is your greatest challenge but can bring you rich rewards
🌩 asc in sagittarius - you've been forced to take debate too seriously. in truth, you don't need to have an opinion on everything, and it's ok to change your mind or say 'I don't know'
🌩 asc in capricorn - you feel the weight of the world. different from virgo, you feel the need to represent yourself or any group you are part of to wider society
🌩 asc in aquarius - you are worn down by frequent combativeness, when you just want to explore new posibilities. People may block your ideas and shoot them down :(
🌩 asc in pisces - you wonder whether your emotions are normal. you've lacked reference points for how you should feel, or people to normalise it for you. you are normal, for you
*this post is part of a series on why astrology matters regardless of how much you do or don't believe in it. as our lives have become busier, more disconnected, less spiritual, and significantly detached from the rhythms and energies of the earth, we have lost the ability to express the needs that are going unmet
I do a lot of this shadow work from a sort of solarpunk-y direction, beginning to build a post masterlist here or vote in the poll for my next post topic :p

biggest myths ♠︎ about SP types
here's some myths about sensing perceivers! the sensor - intuitive battle is often an integral part of typology communities with sensors finding intuitives obtuse and detached from reality and intuitives finding sensors shallow and unconcerned with arts, culture, or the deeper meaning behind things.
of course these are crude stereotypes but unfortunately the world is often hectic and stressful enough that many people rarely get to fully express what their type is truly capable of leading to stereotypes feeling real when we meet in other out in the wild and intuitives often having gone their lives in the minority, feeling left out and hurt
so let's shake things up! the sensing perceivers are about as different from SJ types as SJ types are from intuitives, but we're a chilled out bunch who tend to keep ourselves to ourselves in the typology community so it's not often you hear from us. here are some myths about sensing perceivers - and a brief rundown of just some of the reality
🍉 sensing perceivers are shallow | reality: SP types are amazing at noticing the hidden details and patterns behind things. They also love to explore the world, and if there's a reason to do this theough abstract theories (e.g. thinking about what's up there in space) then they will. However if there isn't, they won't. A main difference between them and intuitives is they are less likely to bond over this kind of talk.
🥑 sensing perceivers and iNtuitives can't get on | reality: SP and N types, especially NP types, can get on really well - so long as they account for the differences in values. SP types tend to be quite quick witted and they can easily keep up with an average N type, but they may not prioritise the same things in conversations. Learning where they differ can help bridge the gap
🍉 SP types don't like or get involved with typology | reality: many SP types like typology, but they tend more to tinker with it or play around with it's implications in the real worls. For example, they may enjoy typing people they know to try and figure out things about them, or they may use typology to try and figure out cold cases or so on
🥑 SPs are bitchy and/or judgemental | SP types very often feel a similar 'outsider status' to N types in a world made for SJs. However due to their preoccupation with the practical and the fact they don't immediately go deep, SPs can come off as colder. In combination it can seem like they don't like you, but in reality this is often far from the truth.
🍉 STPs are psychopaths/sociopaths | STP types can seem extremely bold and fearless sometimes. Good in a crisis, they may be your neighborhood prepper or be good at bushcraft or know first aid. This lack of fear can make them come off as psycho or sociopathic especially if they haven't figured out yet that not everyone feels the same way. However, they often have a surprisingly sweet side, and once you get close to them, you will learn how to read their feelings more easily.
🥑 SP types are dumb | SP types often don't do well at school, as lower levels tend to be geared towards SJs, and higher levels more towards NPs.
🍉 SP types can't or don't like to think abstractly | SP types often do think abstractly but this is most likely intertwined with the practicalities of their thoughts. This is why you may not always notice it. SP types have to think imaginatively due to the fact their high Se makes them drawn to new situations to give themselves enough stimulation. Yet unlike NP types they quickly follow this through with action. A good example of this would be the Wright Brothers who were able to dream up their plans for man's first flight and subsequently put it into action.
🥑 SFPs are airheaded | SFPs may come off as airheaded due to their high need for social stimulation, meaning they are often social butterflies. But this doesn't mean they don't value deeper topics - they simply won't bond over them socially immediately. Once they become relevant, SFPs will take the plunge - but the key word is relevant. For example. an ESFP dates an N type who is an archaeologist. They become interested in their SO's work. Thus, conversations begin to spiral round to this. ESFP suddenly finds their opportunity to share their adjacent interest in travel and culture. However, SPs are less likely to have topics of obsession in the same way NPs are.
🍉 SPs love mending/fixing stuff. Ok, this one is kind of true. This is because SPs love getting into flow states, which are a meditative state where the brainwaves work differently. Fixing things or tinkering about is one way to achieve this, but not all STPs or SPs are into this. They tune into the same parts of their brain by surfing, painting, or a myriad other activities that don't require linear thought.
🥑 SP types are not academic, or represented in academia | Ok, this one is statistically kinda true as well. But that doesn't mean SPs can't deal with academic topics. They just don't tend to find them interesting in their own right unless they can relate them to the real world. That's why they tend to adapt or repurpose them for their own values, making SP types great innovators, inventors, and entrepreneurs. Or, if they are in academia, they are likely to be the person out doing fieldwork as opposed to sitting back in the lab.
That's all, hope it resonates, take what you want and leave the rest. From your friendly neighborhood ISxP :P

What the moon signs feel unable to express
*this post is part of a series on why astrology matters regardless of how much you do or don't believe in it. as our lives have become busier, more disconnected, less spiritual, and significantly detached from the rhythms and energies of the earth, we have lost the ability to express the needs that are going unmet
I believe astrology gives us a way to do this, offering a framework for how our personalities and the unconscious mind/shadow, are more complex than the frenzy of modern life reduces us to...
🏞 moon in aries - wanderlust and sense of adventure
🏞 moon in taurus - desire for and appreciation of material surroundings
🏞 moon in gemini - inner conflict, mixed feelings, and complex emotions
🏞 moon in cancer - desire for simpler things, homeliness, stability
🏞 moon in leo - challenge and personal development, rites of passage
🏞 moon in virgo - desire for a way of explaining the world.
🏞 moon in libra - community and companionship, better relationships
🏞 moon in scorpio - sense of awe and wonder.
🏞 moon in sagittarius - intellectual challenge, mental stimulation, complexity. feels hampered down by others.
🏞 moon in capricorn - desire for structure, feels overwhelmed by choice
🏞 moon in aquarius - freedom from responsibility, desire not to get bogged down
🏞 moon in pisces - moodiness, melancholia, downbeat attitude. feels pressured by toxic positivity.
