and Richard’s plan (his plan!!) for the morning was, “okay so I haven’t decided if I’m going to kiss him before or after I give him one of my personal possessions so he can look at it and Think Of Me until I get a chance to see him again—I WILL be seeing him again—but you know what, the kissing will probably come up organically, better to let that exist in the moment”

That storyline wasn't canon compliant and relies on a very shallow understanding of Mary's characterization and that's a hill I'm prepared to fight on.

I've said it before and I'll say it again but i absolutely fucking love and admire thomas barrow for sticking up for himself when carson calls him foul and is slandering him for jimmy. because he knows it's against the law and yet he follows through with practically admitting it to his boss. he thought 'no I'm being true to myself, fuck you carson' and I can't tell you how much i admire him for it and That is why he's my favourite person.
