People who try to argue that Edith was not in love with Thomas must be missing the premise of the film being a gothic romance... (I've literally seen someone say that Thomas didn't seem happy that Edith survived at the end and seemed shocked / disappointed that she was alive. WTF ? The guy literally tried to save her when he was alive and his appearance as a ghost was specifically for that purpose too...) Worse, those who think that Edith would end up in the future with Alan while the beginning of the movie literally says that Edith will die a widow.

THE CAT QUEEN 💚💜
I just understand that when I draw the Cat Queen, she looks like her parent Desire of the Endless 🫠

Thinking how future historians in the downton abbey universe will wonder if the crawleys were actually murderers, bc there’s just an excessive amount of deaths on record to make any of it look innocent
And like an entire subreddit would exist to prove lord grantham was some type of mob boss in the aristocracy, who killed anyone who wronged his family. The descendants of the granthams are constantly in the media trying to disprove these theories, like “no great grandad was just a guy… we think” but they don’t really have any solid evidence to disprove any claims bc the family took those secrets to the their graves
It’s so bad that people wholeheartedly believe he was the one who sunk the titanic and caused World War I

“But the horror… The horror was for love.” (c)
The esthetics of “Crimson Peak” and Victorian era is stunning. The true gothic romance with monsters awaiting under your bed. Applauding Guillermo del Toro for this piece.
Drawing this one was tough - at first I thought about Edith but, you know, she’s too innocent to win the “Dark Queen” Oscar. So apparently I turned to Lucille. However, who’s Lucille without Thomas? And here we are, having the trio who was bound to be together. ‘Cause “it’s a monstrous love and it makes monsters of us all”. 😉

What kills me is that Thomas's declaration to Edith is essentially reminiscent of Rochester's declaration to Jane and Mia Wasikowska herself ultimately played Jane Eyre ! I find the coincidence funny.

thinking about Lucille's ability to ignore pain
like
grabbing a hot pan handle with her bare hand and not flinching
taking innumerable small slash and stab wounds while fighting Edith, and not seeming to register any of it
how did she get that way? how many blows did she take as a child before pain just ceased to mean anything? how long did she spend having to push past it, because Someone Else was even smaller and more helpless and in greater danger, and that had to be more important?
I have something in my eye give me a second
