Our nation forgot to sleep at night. We can always hear our brothers' and sisters' last words and screams.

These were the last words from Mugdho, a brilliant student from Khulna University. He was giving water to his fellow protestors. He was shot dead in the head.

An innocent question, isn't it?

A plea from a desperate soul. Did we let go?

Did we have to teach the little girl the meaning of death this way?

Another plea from a brother. The police didn't listen.

Words of a sister from the prison van. She was arrested because of asking for her rights. A grave mistake isn't it? Asking for your own right?

We closed our doors to the ones who are fighting for our future.

And you think this nation will sleep at night again?

Believe me, I will never underestimate Gen Z ever again. We have always blamed them for many things, but these kids from Bangladesh taught us what patriotism looks like.

These kids were born rebels. They were in school in 2018 and marched for safe roads. They were on the road and taught traffic sergeants how to handle the traffic. When they were protesting, Dhaka, the city infamous for its crazy traffic jams, looked like the roads of some European country. They left thinking the nation learned its lesson, but we never learned and old Dhaka was back again.

Now these fearless souls have gathered again. They are now university students. They are fighting for their right to the job. They want equal access to government jobs on a merit basis. They are being attacked, arrested, and tortured, but no one cares. They are living on the streets, raising their voice for their right.

Believe me, hundreds have already died, thousands are injured, but millions are on the road. They said that they won't go home without winning. They have shown us that we have been blind all these times. We thought we were an independent country but they showed us our chains and mocked us for being used to it.

When I am writing this, thousands of students are dying outside. I don't know how to help them because I am a coward. I don't have the courage like them. The best I can do is write something under a fake name.

May I tell you a story? It’s about a crocodile. One day, the crocodile wanted to shed tears. It saw many people crying, but it couldn’t cry. A lot of people cried when Rokeya’s son spread his hands like wings and flew away. A little girl went to the roof to make rainbows for the sky; a vicious vulture snatched her away. Everyone cried. The sky is still crying. There have been no rainbows since.

The crocodile saw all these but still couldn’t cry. It tried so many emotions- sorrow, mourning, pain. But nothing worked; the crocodile still had no tears in its eyes. One day, there was a water bearer. He was burning under the scorching sun but still prioritized quenching thirsty passersby’s thirst. ‘Water? Does someone need water?’ he shouted. The crocodile saw the water, the water that can be its tears.

The crocodile could call the water bearer and ask for water politely. But human rules are out of vogue in crocodile’s world. It ran to the water bearer and bit his head. Nectar flew through the wounds made by the crocodile. We don’t know what the crocodile did with the water. We don’t know if he can now cry or not. We just know that the water bearer doesn’t come here anymore; the thirsty people still cry for him. Some school boys said that the water bearer also grew wings like Rokeya’s son and flew away… maybe to heaven. Even some of their friends also grew wings like that. The elders were worried hearing the news- if everyone grows wings, who will be there in the future? Would our humble town become a barren place? The crocodile was listening to their chitchat, laughing. Let me tell you a secret- the crocodile is the wing maker. Wings grow from its bite that took away those innocent kids.

Fanfic Idea: Medusa is in Olympus now with Athena

Medusa was the head priestess in Athena's temple. Athena had her eyes on the beautiful priestess but things went south before she could confess.

Poseidon was angry after Athena took Athens and wanted revenge. He found out Athena fancied the priestess and Medusa was sacrificed to the wrath of a petty god. Athena was angry beyond imagination but wasn't powerful enough to punish one of the 3 main gods, especially when her own father committed such sin every now and then.

Athena couldn't look in the eyes of Medusa as she was partly responsible for what happened to her. She decided to protect Medusa from further harassment. Medusa was given snake hair and the power to turn men into stone so that everyone would fear her and wouldn't even dare to look at her.

But things never go as planned. Medusa was considered a monster and people wanted to kill her. She had to hide in a cave so that she wouldn't hurt anyone and was left alone but that never happened. Also, she was pregnant with Poseidon's child.

Meanwhile, Perseus was selected to kill Medusa, the woman Athena loved. And she was bound to help Perseus to kill her loved one. When Perseus reached the cave, Medusa wasn't asleep, she died while giving birth to Pegasus.

Perseus cut the head from the dead body and used it to get rid of the annoying suitors, but later took the head and body to Olympus. Hermes knew about this tragic love story and guided Medusa's soul to Olympus instead of the underworld. Apollo used his healing power to attach the body to the head and put the soul back.

Medusa later became a war commander under Athena. Athena sculpted Medusa's face on her shield to honor her bravery. She felt the proudest when she saw mighty Poseidon talking to the great war commander respectfully while bowing down his head.

Persephone was afraid that her controlling mother would try to control her child too and prayed to have an intelligent kid who could find a way to escape... maybe she prayed a little too hard.

Due to his parents being separated for most of the time (Thank you Grandma Demeter), Hermes flew across realms to be with both of them, thus becoming the god of borders.

Zeus thought if the child is intelligent enough to tackle Demeter, maybe I can use him to trick Hera. (And honestly, helping your uncle with his sexual shenanigans is less traumatizing than your OWN GODDAMN FATHER!!)
