unironically, for me, the best flavor of megop is an optimus who has genuinely moved on by now with a megatron who refuses to accept it. he's just seething, constantly thinking that every little thing optimus does is another ploy to either humiliate him or get back with him, when in reality, optimus just sees megatron as the enemy of the autobots now. no romantic feelings on his end, no longing for the good times. maybe he's even got someone else. either way, he's happy where he is, and he wishes the same for megatron.

but we both know that megatron will never move on.
