As my birthday draws near (feels like the first few months of this year have blown by) I am even thankful for the changes I have made. My 30s have already been so much better than my 20s- and I owe a lot of that to my inner self. The most that I finally started to take care of, to understand, to fuel. Life is still a roller coaster but I handle it better. I’m getting older but I’m growing in to my best version. My motivation for the new year is ME. I want to get back to my personal best and stay as healthy as possible so I can become a mom next year. You should only compete with you. I do not blog full time, it’s just my passion. I am actually an artist and graphic designer. Whenever I let that creative side come out it reminds me how big of a part of me it truly is. Making this cute little cutting board design took just 10 minutes because I designed from the heart. I LOVE COOKING. It’s therapeutic to me and food styling has become a new art form. This time last year I was about 8 months in to blogging and 3 months in to online coaching. I have come so far in just one year! ______ I started my health journey about 5 years back but I didn't really know what I was doing. I just knew I wanted to be better than that co-dependent college party girl. I started to eat better and fell in love with cooking and exercising. I didn't really follow a plan or program so I improved but became a master at maintaining. That's great- but I wanted to challenge myself. I wanted abs before kids, I wanted to be better in my 30s than my 20s, I wanted to see and feel a visible difference. ______ When I started coaching it was the perfect fit for me. I could help others get results and improve their habits while at the same time becoming the best version of myself. Within the first 6 months I finally started to see definition I had never had before. I got really into a program called PiYo and became a certified instructor. I also learned how to meal prep like a boss and properly portion food. Plus, the right foods I should be putting in to my body to make a lifestyle change instead of trying out different diet trends in order to lean out more. I toned up just the way I wanted and in the process became a happier, more confident woman! ______ I have learned that if you make your goals a priority you WILL reach them. It has developed not just in to something I am extremely passionate about but a consistent daily habit to improve myself. There is no going back for me- 30 is the new me! The BEST me! I didn't have much to lose, but I have truly GAINED. Some of it has been in ways I didn't know would be effected- like better skin and hair. With this change in mindset has come an inner strength and physical strength that I did not realize was in me, but always hoped for. No more toxic relationships for me because I have come to respect myself. No more second guessing myself because now I feel unstoppable. No more feeling of discouragement in what I have or don't have because I know I CAN CHANGE. ______ ANYONE can make this their story too!
