Well look at that. I take a break to read a real life book that isn’t fanfic and I skyrocket to almost 200 subs. Thank you all, my beans. I’m so happy you all like what I’m putting out! Anywho this BOOK gave me amazing ideas and it’s getting spooky out so.....
👻 Haunted house A/B/O 🎃
⚠️ WARNING⚠️ this post includes mentions of death in a horror setting, accidental death, and atrocious treatment of mental patients- similar to treatment that used to be common practice in institutions before mental health was more well known. I.E forced treatment and lobotomies. This is not fluffy. This is not cute. This is exploring horror elements of omegaverse. Things such as what’s below HAVE happened in our world, I’m just adding the omegaverse twist. If this isn’t for you then please skip, and I will have something for you soon. ⚠️
An omega who spends their time going to spooky places that people don’t visit. Not the houses they gussy up for Halloween, no. Those houses that remember the past. That creak, groan, hold the scents of alphas and omegas from years ago, and hurt as if all that pain that took place in it was its own.
A particular house catching the omega’s eye because it’s history is just too rich. So old it’s barely considered Victorian, but not old enough to be renaissance. Not only that, but the house reaches out to the omega’s instincts- to everyone’s instincts- luring then inside.
There’s a cold spot on the stairs that correlates to a crack in the ancient ceiling, but when the omega stands in this spot they can smell the sharp scent of a terrified omega. It’s not their scent. Theirs is present, also scared, but very clearly different. The house is quiet, and they know that they are alone.
The bathroom upstairs is grimey, dingey, and feels like it was once a nest. The room is warmer than the rest of the house. It’s darker, smaller, and has tattered fabric all over the floor. Feathers that seem to have been ripped out of pillows cover everything. It would have made a good nest... if only the scent of the room weren’t screaming pain, terror, and death.
There’s a cottage behind the house that belongs to a devilishly handsome alpha groundskeeper. Hands rough from work but god if working all day every day hadn’t made the alpha the most rugged, muscular, gorgeous creature to walk the earth. The alpha is defensive of the house. Asking the omega if they’re squatting in it. The omega says they’re there for the sake of journalism.
The alpha telling the scared yet intrigued omega about the tragedies of the house, while also getting a growing feeling of “this cute little omega... I’ve gotta protect this kid.”
The first people to live in the house were an alpha lord and his family. An intruder in the night ran in to take the oldest omega child in hopes of getting a ransom, and as the omega ran away down the stairs, they tripped and fell just as their alpha father fired his pistol at the intruder, missing and instead hitting the ceiling. The intruder startled and fell after the omega, landing on them. The omega’s last emotion was utter terror.
The alpha lord never sold the house. Sure, the family moved, but they left it empty, sitting there as a memorial to their omega child. It remained empty for decades until the local city officials claimed it in the mid 1800’s, when it became an institution for omegas who were deemed unruly.
Those who weren’t lobotomized were kept locked in one room all day. Unsure of when their next treatment would be. Encouraged to nest but also reprimanded for not doing it “the right way”. Many died there, but the most tragic was an omega no more than 15. Kept in a bathroom with no water and no food to teach them the lesson of “gratitude”. They cried when the alpha and beta orderly denied them food once again. They strapped the omega into the bathtub and gave a lobotomy right there to get rid of that kind of “emotionial outburst”. They stuck the tool in too far, and accidentally killed the omega.
The alpha telling the omega story upon story about the terrible things that happened there, yet the omega still keeping their plan to stay the night. They put a sleeping bag on the floor of the main room and try to doze off. They’re kept awake by out of place screams and creaks and the smell of terrified omega’s and devastated alphas.
Some time after 3 am the omega is awoken from their daze by a sharp grip around their ankle. They scream as they are rapidly dragged across the floor. The roar of the groundskeeper stops the movement as the door busts open. The alpha runs in with a flashlight to grab the omega. They both retreat back to the alpha’s home.
The omega never. Ever. Investigates another house like that again.
Their newfound alpha acquaintance may or may not stay close by the omega just in case they DO ever wander into a house like that in the future.

ABO Ghosts
⊗ Ghosts still retain their scents to an extent. It’s not as strong as it once was when they were alive, but they can be smelled the same way someone that’s very far away can.
⊗ Omegas, despite being nurturing in nature, are most likely to become highly destructive poltergeists. This is because Omegas are far more inclined to extreme emotion and may have hard times dealing with unfair and/or untimely deaths. They’re also the most likely to disturb pups.
⊗ Alpha ghosts are usually not overly violent (though any ghost can be evil), but they have hardcore attachment issues. Alpha ghosts can very easily become smitten with a family/resident and follow them from house to house. Their instincts to “protect” their charge(s) can also lead to them scaring important houseguests away (and even the people they’re protecting). They also tend to screw with the air’s temperature a lot.
⊗ Beta ghosts are the most chill, but they also have a penchant for possessing people. They tend to have a very sluggish, melancholy energy that infects their surroundings. Generally, Beta ghosts like to tamper with the emotions of the living, and a lot of those haunted by them report a constant feeling of being watched.
⊗ The ghosts of older pups, regardless of dynamic, tend to be very helpful. They’ll wake residents up at the same time everyday, put things back where they came from if they’re left out, and even leave scribbly notes around as reminders (if they can write). They do tend to be pretty clumsy, though, so things getting broken will happen kind of often.
⊗ Pup ghosts are probably the easiest to deal with—just don’t cross their parent if they have one or answer to the wailing at night.
Now for the scenarios because I have waay too many
⊗ An Omega that died from being poisoned by her mate. She hasn’t been a ghost for that long, so she has a seemingly endless pool of enraged energy at her disposal. She’s especially bitter toward Alphas, tormenting them to near death so that they move out as quickly as they moved in. Then, suddenly, two Betas show up. The fact that they’re not Alphas and their naturally calm personalities serve to turn that anger into pure curiosity.
⊗ A lonely Alpha being soothed to sleep by the sound of crooning at night, then waking up to remember that they live alone.
⊗ An Omega moving into an apartment that’s been haunted by an Alpha ghost for centuries. The Alpha quickly develops a crush on the Omega and has absolutely no idea what to do since they’re from a completely different era. The Omega receiving a bunch of antique courting gifts and finding that they can’t have flings over without it going south in some way.
⊗ Adrenaline junkies (usually Alpha/Beta teens) deliberately seeking out Beta ghosts to see what it’s like to be possessed by them.
⊗ Omega ghosts being the most popular horror film characters because they’re the most gruesome.
⊗ A Beta ghost that has a pup being completely taken with the pup of a new family that moved in. They encourage their pup to show themselves to them so that they can play together since they’re a similar age. Cue the family of the living pup being very confused as to why their child is playing tag with thin air.
⊗ The confusing affair of being bitten by someone who’s been dead for three years (oooo astral bonding could be a thing too).
⊗ A whole pack that was killed in a horrific accident not being ready to give up their old territory.
⊗ A parent not listening to their child complaining that there’s a lady in their closet that “smells funny” and “stares at them when they try to sleep every night.”
⊗ A living Alpha that basically becomes a parent to the ghost pup in their house. It’s not uncommon for them to scold the air any time something gets broken, then feel bad when they get an incredibly messy “I’m sorry” note.
⊗ A tall Beta/Alpha couple being scared shitless of the tiny Omega ghost in their house. They have a genuine reason to be, though, because every night they get their own personal Blair Witch Project experience that they have to survive through.
⊗ A particularly aggressive Alpha ghost locking a family inside to “protect them from the outside world,” but not considering that they have to go out to buy food and water. They don’t relent anyway and the family has to find some way to escape.
⊗ A happy-go-lucky Omega trying to cheer a Beta ghost up rather than exorcising them.
⊗ Oof imagine how crazy it would be to be an exorcist in the first place.
Hopefully this hasn’t been done before lol

omegaverse headcanons ––– Halloween (part 2)
- omegas have really bad sweet tooths (sp?), like they will eat loads of candy until they literally get sick. imagine alphas looking for their love’s and only finding them with the help of a trail of candy wrappers. the alpha find their omegas curled up in their bed, whining quietly with melted chocolate on their lips and cheeks in their fairy costume.
- imagine alphas scaring their omegas all throughout October. they’d pop up from behind things, send them screamers, do scary pranks. omegas will squeak and scream each time they get scared. awww, imagine the alpha scaring their mate really bad, they start crying. the alpha will feel so bad and keep apologizing until they feel better.
- alphas shedding some big tears when they see their newborn/toddlers in some cute ass costumes, like potatoes or animals or like pumpkins, them taking a million and one photos of their pups because they can’t get over how cute their pups are.
- costume idea: alpha being a eucalyptus tree and the omega being a cutesy koala.
- often while trick or treating, pups will travel in packs with family members and best friends. this is because they are familiar with their scents and know not to wonder off.
- ^ parents will scent mark the heck out of their pups because of this reason
- ALPHAS SCREAMING A HIGH PITCH SCREAM BECAUSE SOMETHING POPS UP AND SCARES THEM SILLY, LIKE THESE TALL MENACING BEINGS SCREECHING AT LIKE THEIR LITTLE PUPS JUMPING OUT FROM A CLOSET
- pregnant omegas as avocados and their alphas as chips, my heart is melting i can’t
- mostly it will be socially acceptable for betas to wear sexy costumes, they will have some issues, but not too much
- there would be more betas giving out candy than any other dynamic, mostly because one parent can stay home and they don’t tend to have a lot of children.
i know this is a day late, but i was busy yesterday for once >.<

Pregnant Alphas & Validation
Fact 74: Pregnant alphas commonly hate being doted on. They want to feel needed. Pregnancy comes with mood swings and it’s best not to stress out a pregnant mate so it’s important to be gentle with them, but in the case of a pregnant alpha, giving them a task or a request helps them feel needed. It solidifies that just because their pregnant it doesn’t make them any less important to the pack or to their mate. Finding that balance helps keep stress levels down, which is crucial given how easily complications arise with alpha pregnancies.

Hey prof! Can I have some heating/bonding hcs for omega/omega couples??
Hey Hi Hello!
Sure you can!
Probably will delve into some NSFW stuff as well. I’ll tag just in case.
Disclaimer: Not all AU’s have same Dynamics being able to bond, but for this Ask, they can.
During the heat of the moment, they take turns placing their bonding bite on each other.
They cannot knot each other, and (in some AU’s) not being Knotted during heat can be painful for the Omega, so they incorporate toys with knots on them.
Their scents during heats are twice as strong (or stronger) which in turn just edge each other on. Drowning in each other’s scents.
Perhaps they take turns being on top, loving each other thoroughly.
Even if it’s an Omega/Omega pair, they know when to incorporate the  helpful scents during their heats. Such as items that are Alpha scented, or candles etc. Whatever helps make the Heat less painful.

I feel like Alphas would be the funniest dynamic. Like when I imagine a boisterous class clown I usually think of an Alpha first.
Then again, I think Betas would be hella funny too. I think a lot of them would be masters at deadpan/nerdy/straight man comedy.
Then a lot of Omegas would have the petty/bad bitch style of humor. Like those tiktok fairy hate comments and the “no ❤️” thing would def be started by Omegas ksndjdnxjjxxj

I preach:
bottom and/or submissive alphas, especially topped and/or dominated by betas/omegas;
verse and/or switch betas, especially topping and/or dominating alphas and bottoming and/or submitting for omegas.
top and/or dominant omegas, especially topping and/or dominating alohas.

unpopular abo headcanons #1
There’s no “the highest” rank in ABO. Alpha’s are not thought “the best” only because they are the strongest.
In ABO, people lived in packs where every person, regardless of dynamic, had a role to fill so there’s actually less gender prejudice - there’s no “Omegas are useless because they can’t bench press a baby elephant” thing.
There’s still prejudice tied to every gender. For example - Alpha’s who choose academy or, God forbid, art over sport-related career are really frowned upon as it’s expected for an Alpha to always be in the best shape and ready to protect. Beta’s are expected to be always thinking of others above of themselves, to the point that they may be called selfish if they do anything for themselves. It’s frowned upon for a Beta to be actually competitive about something. Omegas are always expected to be the smartest one in any situation. This means that they are held to higher standards in any academic field - and it’s expected from young Omegas to be smarter than their siblings.
The “Alpha is always a pack leader” is not true at all. In some cultures, yes, but in most, there’s not even one pack leader but the leader couple. They are usually either the oldest or those who get the most respect so fights for power are not really common in packs - instead, most fights happen because of a dispute or competition for a mate.
Single pack leader may happen when a very young pack forms - then it’s usually just the person who organizes pack meetings and makes sure the rest is well.

Given how important smell is, I'm picturing all sorts of merchandise saying "You smell like drama and a headache. Please get away from me."
XD Hilarious! It could be an ad for some kind of people repellent. "Introverts fear no more! Now you can make it known you don't want to be talked to!" Or for an omega starting their heat. "Scared of pesky alphas who may push too far? People repellent!"
"People repellent! Social distancing solved!"

Note for fellow omegas and anyone else in the a/b/o world needing some comfort!
Recently in the shower I’ve been spending a few minutes with the hot water directly on the back of my neck and it’s the most soothing thing in the world! It makes you feel warm and almost drop like so I highly recommend it if you’re having an anxious day :)

Omegaverse headcanon.
A young and recently presented alpha who wants to show their high school enemy how much of an alpha they became after summer... only to find out that the enemy is an omega and not only an omega... the omega with the sweetest scent in the world.
And maybe destiny don't want them to be enemies.

Traditional Last Name Exchanges
Fact 39: When a couple gets married it’s tradition for one of them to change their family name to the other’s. The list deciding who normally changes their name is as follows:
Alpha/Alpha - The younger alpha changes their name.
Alpha/Beta - The beta
Alpha/Omega - The omega
Beta/Beta - The younger beta
Beta/Omega - The omega
Omega/Omega - The younger omega
And now I have the image of two omegas arguing over each other’s names. “No, I think we should take your name!” (“No you first!”)

Pupil Dilation
Fact 31: When instincts run high the person’s pupil will dilate or contract.
A couple of examples: an omega feeling the urge to nest/nesting their pupils will expand. An alpha getting ready to brawl over something (maybe someone was being a dick to their family) their pupils are going to contract and start looking like cat eyes. An omega needing to protect their pups would have the same kind of pupil contraction.

What you said about long distance mates is both so cute and kinda sad! Do you have more headcanons on the subject? It's my first time seeing long distance relationship in an omegaverse.
Thank you! I’ve been pondering your question but as someone who has never been in a long distance relationship I don’t have as many ideas to share as I’d like.
There will be a lot of sexting in this relationship.
Just general texting too.
They’ll be on their phone and the others around them are like, “Geez, they’re always on their phone.”
Their friends have to deal with them constantly gushing about their mate.
Whenever one visits the other the local friend group is just like, “Oh hey, it’s the famous lover boy” and tease them for being the reason their friend is addicted to their phone.

alpha with a mate who got forcefully bitten walking home ?
Warning!: Non-Con is mentioned!
Oh boy. A forcefully inflicted mating bite is treated as rape regardless if any sexual assault was also in the mix. It would be extremely traumatizing for the poor mate.
The alpha would be enraged. At the very least they’d need to take a breather. If the alpha was there when it happened they could go feral, which spells bad news for the person who bit their mate.
Afterward, the alpha would either spend the majority of their time trying to get justice (legally or otherwise) or spending every waking hour with their mate, trying to comfort them.
The general consensus legally is that because the bite was not consensual the alpha is still the mate and would have to re-bite their mate to reclaim legal rights in that regard. (But what if the mate’s still traumatized when the time comes to get re-bitten? Oh the drama!)
