Black Cat Brothers (Meeko and Mario).

Portrait of two very fluffy black Maine Coons commissioned by @abrusprecatoriuus. They are named Meeko (left) and Mario (right). This drawing was particularly challenging since the cats had such dark fur that their forms would simply meld into each other when they were placed side by side.

RSV Eve Caught in Arctic Ice.

(January 2023) Pencil drawing with some editing in MediBang Paint. (10”x9”)

In which Captain Robert Walton finds his ship caught in ice in the Arctic waters and must assess the situation with a few crewmembers from afar. The aurora borealis lights the sky from a distance. The ship resembles a Dutch fluyt. The ice field it is caught in is vast, somewhat resembling a desert.

Made for the 2023 RSV Eve Art telephone event earlier this year. The RSV Eve Discord Server is a RP server themed for Mary Shelley's Frankenstein about the experiences of Robert Walton and his crew as they sail north. This is my portion of a series. Bluey the Cat.

The cat’s name is Bluey and he is a scrungkly but distinguished old man. A pleasure to draw, especially the whiskers.

Pocketsquare Sketchbook - Bookbinding

(2022) Bookbinding. Custom shaped sketchbook designed to look like a pocketsquare when stuffed into a certain eccentric person's hawaiian shirt pocket. I bound and cut the book signatures by hand, careful to make them in line with the cover. A Canadian-made 50lb (75gsm approx.) paper was selected to include several pages in a thinner volume, and a hardcover used to provide support while drawing.

Bookbinding - Blank Cover Editions.

(2022) Bookbinding. (6"x9" approx. ea.) A pair of books that I typeset, printed, and bound for friends. The covers were left blank so they could decorate them. The book with the blue spine is a copy of Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities. The book on the right is a copy of @transfaulkner's Silt Verses fanfic Different Shores. Two people, one with the same galaxy: diametrically opposed and locked intimately together. The original lineart was made for a previous project, but I decided to bring this piece to a finish with my own watercolours in the background.
