"A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there" - The reality that this phrase speaks actually makes me cry. I spend a lot of my time isolating myself away from the world, finding it difficult to accept or face up to my anxities and depression. I'm held back by this constant barrier that keeps me feeling stronger, keeps me feeling content and able to cope; but it keeps me far away from the world, cuts off the possibilities of change, new experiences, opportunities, the chance of recovering, this comfort zone stops me from growing as a person. I wish it was easier to pull myself out of this isolating rut, to be able to wake up each morning without feeling worried, or panicking that something bad will happen, to have the energy to get up & get ready, have motivation, to not have an empty feeling or a huge baggage filled with sadness, emotional hours where the crying doesn't stop, to have my thoughts set on the present rather than the past or stressing over my future or all 3 combined, for my body to not feel weak or tingly and the sickness that stubbornly stays in my throat, the butterflies to come from something other than anxiety, to stop obsessing over the damage I've done to my body, to be able to get through a day where I don't carry blades incase I can't cope, the chest pain to subside quickly or for me to at least stay calm without worrying it's more than anxiety causing the pains, to not face unpleasant symptoms anxiety causes, to have an outlook on life that isn't so god dam negative or blurred, I wish I knew how to fix myself in a matter of minutes, how to fix everything that's happening. I wish I knew how to escape this comfort zone.
