There’s a difference between stretching and your measure of flexibility. As every human body is extremely different and has different ranges of motion according to specific joints, your full expression of any deep stretch will differ significantly from the person next to you. The human body is an amazing thing - we have the capacity to heal ourselves from injury, cells can regenerate, food automatically digests, and our lungs breath for us. We don’t have to ASK our bodies to do this! There ARE however certain ways we can help our body along in these natural processes. One of them is by keeping active and exercising regularly. Another one is to help regulate things like circulation and muscle flexibility by STRETCHING. Such as… -Lunges (Stagger feet with front leg bent, lean forward to stretch back hip flexor) -Upper body rotations (Keep feet planted on the floor and twist the torso from side to side) -Shoulder openers (Clasp the hands behind your back and draw the shoulders down and away from your ears) -Simple shoulder rotations (Arms extend and rotate in circular motions) These movements will help to regulate internal processes and ensure that energy does not get ‘stuck’ in specific areas. This stuck energy gradually builds up and eventually manifests as pain, imbalance, or illness.
