I drew a unicorn for Junicorn and completely forgot to post it here. Oops. Thank you again for sticking around. My content has been inconsistent in both posting schedule and subject matter. To fix this, I am focusing on filling my black sketchbook before I draw on my tablet again. I'm in the process of learning Krita on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, so once I have the hang of it I will post more digital art. I'm going to try to participate in the Amazon Affiliate Program. This provides a way for individuals to earn advertising revenues by advertising and linking to products on amazon. Originally I wanted to keep my auxiliary social media channels caught up with my main accounts, but realistically I don’t think I can do that. If you want to find out more about this work please have a look at my Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/p/CVNuegytA53/ Have a great day!

So this week, I forgot to write ahead of time. This post will be much shorter than usual. This drawing was made a while ago with my Copic markers. I was doing different elemental guardians, and this was the Element of Earth. Not super original, but fun to make. Thought I would use it as a quick post this week. The next few posts will be similar while I attempt to finish some of my newer work to post to my blogs. Have a great day!

Another drawing inspired by my random idea generator, behold Paladin Charmander. For those that missed my SpongeBob centaur image, I have reposted the link to my random idea generator from my google drive below (I think?): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1g-4WRBurLjWdCHkq4qjx_JN-jc6Irw60GAfpyk-_eb4/edit?usp=sharing&platform=hootsuite&utm_campaign=test&platform=hootsuite&utm_campaign=test I had some fun and wouldn't mind printing out some stickers eventually. I feel some inspiration for future pictures where I mashup different DnD classes with pokemon (or DnD characters with pokemon.) What do you think Pikachu would be? Give me a shout in the comments below if you have suggestions for specific pokemon/DnD clash mashups. I still haven't finished a bunch of art pieces that I've started. I was working on another Rainbow Brite piece based on a suggestion someone sent me on Twitter. My black sketchbook also could use some more animal studies in it. I had so much fun with my pencil crayons. Thanks again to everyone that has followed me this far. If you have art you'd like to share, feel free to post those in the comments as well. I try to respond to every message, and I love checking out other people's work. You are all so skilled! It has been wonderful to see. I'm feeling tired today, so I'll end this post here. Have a great day!

Wampus, what monster have you created? I can assure you that I have an explanation. Last year, or maybe the year before, I was unsure what to draw and needed ideas to start drawing every day. So I made a spreadsheet of random drawing ideas. I'm hoping google drive will let me share it with people (be warned, it is not very refined.) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1g-4WRBurLjWdCHkq4qjx_JN-jc6Irw60GAfpyk-_eb4/edit?usp=sharing&platform=hootsuite&utm_campaign=test You can draw one of the items listed in the spreadsheet or try to do a mashup of whatever random items the spreadsheet would generate every time you refresh the page. The terms "Spongebob" and "Horse" came up for me. Thus, the Spongebob centaur came into existence whether we asked for it or not. I have to confess, I worry about people losing interest if I do too much filler content. But these mashups are quick to turn over, and I may end up doing a few more before I can finish my more standard work. Let me know in the comments if you're okay with my filler content, or if I'm better off using Instagram stories to let people know when I'm not ready to post that week. I might ask this in a follow-up post, but other Ideas I have had are: * Change Tuesdays to "Toy'z day" where I post photos of my toy collections and move my art days to Thursday. * Photo Fridays - where I post some of my nature and animal photography. * Caturdays - because the internet needs more cat photos.  * Sunday Fun Days's where I post random doodles or things I find fun or interesting. Let me know what sounds interesting, and have a great day!

What's your favorite animal crossings character? I think Celeste and Flick are still my favorites. I admit I am also quite fond of Isabelle's color scheme. I felt like doodling some of the villagers and maybe turning them into sticker sheets eventually. In this first batch, I chose to stick with warm/neutral-color-themed villagers. I think the second batch will be villagers with a cool or blue color scheme. But it may be a bit before I do those. I hope to finish up some old projects I have kicking around the house and start moving on to more new things like these animal crossing characters or some art suggestions I received on Twitter. The next post will be one of the acrylic pet portraits I started ages ago for some friends of mine. With some luck, I can finish them before I post. But there is a chance they might be a work in progress. Let me know in the comments if you are okay with seeing unfinished or in-progress work on my channel here. The Instagram stories and reels features are new to me, and I'm thinking of utilizing them for work-in-progress shots. Thanks again to everyone who has left kind comments on my work. It means a lot to me.

Some more random fan art I did a month or two ago. I had felt a bit down (because of life and worldly circumstances) and was also frustrated that I had stopped drawing. It made me realize the only time I was creating anything was for work, which I have little to no joy in these days. So I made a promise to myself that I was going to start drawing things that brought me joy. It is ridiculous to think that Pokemon has been a part of my life for 25 years (I just made myself feel old again). Pokemon Silver reminds me of so many good childhood memories. As much as I loved Pokemon Blue, Silver added so much to the game that I can't help but consider it my favorite game in the series (the later soul silver was great too). Out of all the Gen 2 Pokemon, Mareep sticks out in my head. She's so darn cute. I couldn't help but draw her. These were a series of silly doodles that I ended up deciding I wanted to turn into a sheet of stickers using my silhouette portrait machine. It was a lot of fun. The stickers ended up being more heavy-duty than I intended. I printed, laminated, and then cut them. I haven't tested it, but I'm pretty sure they're waterproof. They could go on a car and not wear off for a while with how durable they feel (I don't drive, so this is hypothetical). I hope to experiment more with sticker making in the future. Let me know if there are any other pokemon or characters you'd like to see me draw. On my Twitter channel, someone suggested a neat idea for more Rainbow Brite art. So I have added that to my to-do list! Just be patient with me. It could be a few weeks before it shows up as a post. Have a good day!

I decided to post twice today since people have already seen my original Rainbow Brite fan art. That and today I get my second Covid vaccine, so that is super exciting! Felt like a two post-worthy day. Here are some pencil crayon sketches I did a few months back. My goal was to fill up a sketchbook with daily animal sketches to try and fill it up. In hindsight, doing drawings on both sides of the sketchbook wasn't a great idea since I didn't check if I had any pencil crayon fixative before I finished. I had to place a piece of paper between the pages to try and reduce friction until I could pick some up. It was a fun drawing exercise that I hope to continue in the future, so I hope everyone will be okay with seeing more like this. I'll try to bounce between fanart and general art but haven't settled on what my niche is going to be. If my cats co-operate with me, you might also see the occasional cat photo, so anticipate that as well. Regarding my schedule, Tuesday is likely going to be my regular posting day. I'm thinking of occasionally posting on Fridays if I end up with more content to post in a week than usual. I want to refrain from burning myself out as I've done in the past, so I think once a week will be achievable. Lastly, I've had some good fan art suggestions on Twitter that I might consider. So I'll let you guys know how that goes! Have a wonderful day.

Big thanks to everyone kind enough to like my last post. I appreciate it immensely. It has been intimidating posting are online again. Seven years ago, I posted semi-regularly on various social media channels. However, I stopped when I had my first real job out of university and worried my coworkers would mock my work (it happened a couple of times which was enough to turn me off of posting). Thus, I'm now posting to a more anonymous channel. I almost have the digital version of my Rainbow Brite picture finished. It was good timing since I managed to splash water on the original (surprisingly not from the cup in this photo, but while watering plants). Let me know if you would like to see the line art compared to the final digital version in my Instagram stories. My next few posts will be a mix of some older work while I figure out my schedule. Then I will try to start uploading newer work. The next few posts will be of the animal studies I've been doing with pencil crayons in my black sketchbook. They have been a lot of fun.  For anyone curious, I've been using my Galaxy Tab S6 Lite for my digital work lately, and I love it. Admittingly the Ipad pro's many artists are using these days are a bit too rich in the price for me. So when I stumbled on Brad Colbow's review of the tablet on Youtube, it sounded like a better fit for me. No regrets. It's 1/4 of the price of the Ipad Pro, and all I'm using it for is to draw with Autodesk Sketchbook (and a few other odd apps I'm tinkering with.)

Did anyone out there grow up with Rainbow Brite? I received a beautiful gift of markers that I wanted to try tinkering with and figured what better way to try out as many markers as possible as drawing Rainbow Brite. Leave a comment if there are other characters you would like to see me fan art.   I confess I don't remember the show as the TV series very well, as it had ended before I was born. But I fondly remember in my preschool years rewatching the Rainbow Brite movie until the VHS wore out. The character style is fun, but I wanted to pull it away from the cabbage patch kid look. Instead, I opted for more of an anime chibi style. What are your thoughts on my take on her design? I tried not to stray too far from the original. Somehow Twink ended up looking a bit like Molly from The Big Comfy Couch, but I'm okay with that.  I'm Arty Wampus (or Art Wampus) creative cat enthusiast experienced in graphic design and multimedia, but wanting to rekindle some lost Joy in drawing and painting. I would love to reconnect with other artists and art lovers to discover what drives your passions in the creative world. See you all soon!
