Another year almost gone by in the blink of an eye. Hard to believe 2019 has blew by this fast. Seems just like yesterday I was driving to my adopted families house in Indiana. This year, I’ll be with my family here in Massachusetts. Not gonna lie, I kinda miss being there, maybe I just need to get out and socialize. For real, being so introverted sucks sometimes. Even my own company is saying get the hell out and meet people.

Everyone, have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Before you go out Black Friday shopping literally right after saying how thankful you are for having what you already have and trample someone or get trampled by someone over a TV you know you don’t need, think about others and your own personal safety and stay home....like smart people 💯

People need to start grasping what gun control is and how important it is. Now we have Remington that was facing a lawsuit because they manufactured the AR.15 that was used in the #SandyHook shootings.

Look guys, if you can’t simply get it understood that guns don’t miraculously just wake up, walk out the door and shoot up a school, then you have a problem. It’s societies problem that they don’t keep their guns locked up and that minors are able to have this kind of access to not only a gun, but a fucking ASSAULT RIFLE!!! Quit blaming the manufacturer because you don’t know how to use a fucking gun safe and teach your kids about gun safety and how it’s not something you just take out on a stroll with you, much less a school.

We’re losing our children, our babies. Parents may hate sitting through homework sessions sometimes, but they’d be missing that shit for the rest of their lives if they stop sitting through homework sessions because their child was murdered at school and never GOT to go home and see Mom and Dad and do their dreaded homework. We’re all impacted, instead of blaming a manufacturer for people’s lack of knowledge, start pointing your fingers at yourselves. If you haven’t explained the dangers of guns, you need to. Immediately. If you allow kids to obtain guns, selling guns to people without proper paperwork and background check, then YOU need to really reevaluate your priorities. Each shooting never gets easier to read about or to watch on the news. Stand the fuck up, and let’s end this shit.

Being nice is about being fake. Being nice involves saying things people want to hear, especially in a world where everyone gets offended about everything. You have to say shit you don’t mean.

If you’re realistic and say what needs to be said or do what needs to be done, you’re the bad guy, because people have gotten so soft.

Being mean has became everyone’s favorite accusation that it’s moved up on the scale of kindness vs real vs mean, removing the neutral of “realism” and replaced with mean. Think about it, most of the time people say something real and even more so when it’s something you don’t want to hear, you feel like you just got kicked.

Quit confusing realism with being mean. Sometimes the person that’s being the realist, speak from personal experience with your best interests in mind. The world isn’t a nice place, so someone that’s being real could actually be the one that protects you in the end. Know the difference.

These shots are from yesterday back out at the waterfront house. Me and one of my sisters Ashleigh decided to go kayaking, but due to the tropical storm heading up North to Massachusetts, the overcast and wind got severe about a 1 1/2 mile out from the dock. Ashleigh’s kayak ended up flipping, and throwing her out. She’s fine, but her phone didn’t make it. RIP thank God for backup phones. Enjoy these shots, and know that there’s so many more photos like these to be taken and posted.

Check out this hill! These are very common in Fall River, MA. These streets don’t look like much from the picture, but no joke, they’re just as steep as San Fran streets, and is also on every block, much again, like San Fran. If you come to Massachusetts and can’t find anything to do, you’re in the very wrong state. Also, if you have a board and like hill bombing, Fall River, MA is the place to go. Be sure to say hello to my cousin Lizzie Borden as well.

Some people see a challenge as even opening their door in the morning, suffering from depression.

Some people see a challenge as walking into the bank to figure out their finances, suffering with anxiety.

Some people even see a challenge as picking up the phone while living their lives with heaviness in them.

What I’m trying to get at is, if you really want to say you’re doing something for someone, push yourself to do these things. Set an example, let the people around you see that it’s really ok to just brush the world off of your shoulders and walk feeling weightless, happiness.

Stay motivated. Stay focused. Stay driven.

NOW.......let’s get down to business. I have been EXTREMELY busy these past few days to maybe even a week. I’m so ready to get out into the city and explore - explore ideas, see the different cultures out on the street. I’d also like to experiment in some real photographs as graphics for new Silent Waves merch, just in time for the change of the seasons. It may be awhile before my PC to get shipped here, so expect some setbacks with plans, mainly focusing around merch updates, graphic sessions, things of that nature primarily concerning Silent Waves. My PC is the key to every door of success, so I will most definitely get it up here so I can resume progress.

As for the books progress, I’ve been taking what I’d call a “refreshment break”. No, not a break to drink until you explode, but more of an opportunity to enjoy my physical surroundings and see things from a slightly different perspective, which I’ve found out with my style of writing particularly, helps with the descriptive writing styles as well. But however, it’s still in full speed, and I honestly couldn’t feel any happier about it.

Haven’t blogged at all today, and now I know why I felt like something was missing, like something wasn’t getting done 🤷🏻‍♂️

I figured I’d take this time to reflect on my first full week back in Massachusetts. The trip up here sucked. But what do you expect on a bus? The cool thing is, I watched some movies (or more attempted to anyways), but I did actually get some work done, which was my #1 priority. Slept 2 hours total.

I’ve seen a lot since I’ve been here, and there’s still so much more I want to go see and do. Massachusetts has never been a boring state to me, and honestly, being around my Portuguese family and friends is a nice change up. The people I’ve met recently have been great. No complaints here at all.

The growth opportunities....holy shit these growth opportunities are THROUGH THE ROOF!!! Boston, NYC, Pittsburgh, Cape Cod, you name it, but it’s next on the list to get new Silent Waves two built.
