This delicate rose cake is infused with rose water, freshly ground cardamom, and filled with homemade pistachio paste to create a refreshing and scrumptious combination of flavors.

Photoacoustic imaging is an imaging technique that allows people to see the topography of tissues inside the body. Pulsed lasers are used to excite nanoparticles (blue ovals) that are injected into the tissue. The nanoparticles expand, generating “acoustic waves”, which are detected like an ultrasound and produce an image.
