If you are in the mood to draw a Gem, can you draw Aurichalcite?
Tumblr media
I was thinking they could generate (very) hot glue as fixing material, usually on ships or that kind of stuff.. i dunno ^^"
I feel like that glue could hurt the gemstone of a gem while Aurichalcites would be an actually very friendly gem haha

TASK 001 - YOUR CRYSTAL
Teal crystal: It can be used to heal a wide variety of issues and is thought to have a balancing effect and is also said to help increase intuition and connect you with your higher self.
Meaning: Aurichalcite is known as a stone of change and transformation. It can help one release old patterns and habits that are no longer serving them and embrace new beginnings. Aurichalcite is also thought to be helpful in releasing emotions such as anger, resentment, and bitterness. It can promote feelings of joy, happiness, and love.
Elliot
Now that he has a journey here on the island, it is a question of finding himself. Connecting back to the person that loved the beauty of nature. Not to allow his brother to steal his joy, and the reason he chose to walk the path of artistry.

Sun: Apollo is associated with the sun because he was the god of the sun and the personification of the sun's light and warmth. The sun was seen as a powerful force that brought life and growth to the earth, and Apollo was believed to control the movements of the sun across the sky and regulate its heat and light. As the god of the sun, Apollo was also associated with purity, truth, and the passage of time, and his presence was often invoked in rituals and ceremonies related to the sun and the changing of the seasons.
Music: he was believed to be the inventor of the lyre and to have a deep understanding of music theory and composition. Apollo was often depicted playing the lyre, and his music was said to have the power to soothe the emotions and inspire the soul. Apollo was also the patron of musicians and singers, and was often called upon during musical competitions and festivals to judge contests and offer inspiration.
Poetry: his name is said to be derived from the Greek word "apo," which means "away" or "back," and the word "poiein," which means "to make" or "to create." As the patron of poetry and the arts, Apollo was said to have invented the art of writing and the alphabet, and he was often depicted holding a golden lyre, which he used to play music that inspired poets and bards.
Snakes: Apollo is associated with snakes because he was said to have control over snakes and could charm them with his music. One of the most famous myths involving Apollo and snakes is the story of the Python, a massive serpent that lived on Mount Parnassus and terrorized the people of the region. Apollo was said to have slain the Python and made the snake sacred to himself.
Bow and arrows: as the god of archery, Apollo was said to have unparalleled skill with the bow and could hit targets at great distances with accuracy and precision. Apollo's skill with the bow was legendary, and he is often depicted as using his bow to hunt, protect, and defend. The bow and arrow were also symbols of power and authority, and Apollo was often depicted holding them in statues and frescoes.
Laurel wreath: the laurel wreath is also associated with Apollo's role as the god of poetry and the patron of the arts, as the laurel plant was believed to have healing properties that could cure madness and inspire creativity. The Laurel wreath worn by Apollo is a symbol of his victory over the Python and his mastery of the arts.
Ravens: they are often associated with Apollo because they are believed to be his sacred birds. The raven is a bird that is closely associated with prophecy and foresight, and Apollo was often depicted accompanied by a group of ravens that are said to have provided him with information and wisdom. One of the most famous stories involving Apollo and ravens is the myth of the Oracle at Delphi, where the god Apollo would receive prophecies from the priestess, and the ravens were believed to be his messengers.
FACTS ABOUT APOLLO:
His oracles were often consulted for guidance in various matters. He was in general seen as the god who affords help and wards off evil.
Medicine and healing are associated with Apollo, whether through the god himself or mediated through his son Asclepius. Apollo delivered people from epidemics, yet he is also a god who could bring ill health and deadly plague with his arrows.
Apollo presides over all music, songs, dance, and poetry. He is the inventor of string-music and the frequent companion of the Muses, functioning as their chorus leader in celebrations.
He  is an important pastoral deity, and he was the patron of herdsmen and shepherds. Protection of herds, flocks and crops from diseases, pests and predators were his primary rustic duties. On the other hand, Apollo also encouraged the founding of new towns and the establishment of civil constitutions, is associated with dominion over colonists, and was the giver of laws.
HOW TO INVOKE APOLLO:
If you can afford it, get a statue of Apollo. If you can't, print out a picture, get whatever picture frame you can afford, and put the picture in the frame.
Next, on a bright sunny day, find a place (preferably outside) where you will be surrounded by sunlight and undisturbed. Try to pick a time of day when the sun is directly above you. Bring some water with you. If you cast circles, cast a circle, and feel free to enhance this ritual in any way that makes sense to you. Hold your figure of Apollo up into the sunlight, and chant. What you chant should be relatively short and easy to say. It helps if it contains a rhyme or rhythm to it, but neither is required. It should be in your native language and should say something like, "Apollo, mighty Sun God, fill this vessel with your presence". (Come up with your own words.) Chant them over and over. When your arms get tired, you can lower them, just keep the image in the sunlight and keep your hands on the image.
While you are chanting, make eye contact with the image. You should eventually start to feel that the image is looking back at you. He is. Keep chanting the same words, but let them strengthen the sense of presence and awareness you feel in the image.
Chant as long as you can. Make the god's presence in your image as strong as possible. It's okay to take a drink--your throat will need it--but when drinking keep the chant going mentally until you're done drinking.
When you're done, take the image home and put it on an altar. At least once a day, place some food and drink on the altar for the god. "As above, so below" means (in part) that all items on this earth have an equivalent in the energy/spirit world, and you are giving this food energy to Apollo to enjoy and strengthen his presence. Do not eat/drink the offerings, throw them away or leave them outside for wildlife.
From time to time, also burn incense or do other things that strike you as probably pleasing to the god.
Once you have an altar set up with Apollo, pray to him daily. Make eye contact; part of Apollo's presence resides in your statue/picture. Be open and receptive to impressions, feelings and urges in reply.
Always express gratitude whenever you are done interacting with Apollo.
When you feel you have established a strong bond with Apollo, pray mentally to him, and then pause, waiting for a reply. Keep your head quiet but don't impose quiet in your mind, let it be like clay ready for Apollo's touch. If you keep making progress you will eventually feel thoughts form in your head that you didn't put there. That's Apollo, talking back to you.
PRAYER FOR APOLLO:
Apollo, shining son of great Zeus and blessed Leto, twin to Artemis,
Bright-faced god, ever present, ever distant,
We greet you with reverence and awe.
Clear-eyes Apollo, far-seeing one, sharp-sighted archer, always true of aim, true of vision, true of perception,

Chapter 4: COPPER - copper earrings, copper-based minerals, and sample gauge card
This is a gauge card. In this photo it shows the relative measurements for gauge and diameter, but if you have a physical version you can use it on actual jewelry to find out the size.
Tumblr media
Copper isn’t a super common metal to use for earrings, but here are some copper earrings I got from a local designer at a farmer’s market!
Tumblr media
Enough of that boring stuff, the children yearn for the mines!
Bonus content: Malachite sample!
Tumblr media
Additionally, the photo below shows most of my mineral collection. Green is a pretty good indicator of copper content. You can see the malachite {Cu2CO3(OH)2} in the front (the vibrant blue/green mineral shown in the above photo), covellite {CuS} next to/behind it (the mostly black mineral with shiny blue highlights), turquoise {CuAl6(PO4)4(OH)8·4H2O} in the front to the right (the flat pastel blue sample), as well as the large aurichalcite {(Zn,Cu)5(CO3)2(OH)6} sample in the center (the very large stone with blue/green crystals on the top).
Tumblr media
There’s also a bunch of mystery rocks that either weren’t labeled when I got them, or are ones that I collected at a local mine. I also have a separate display of UV-reactive samples under both long and short wave, but that’s a topic for a separate post (feel free to talk to me about minerals any time, there are so many cool ones! I just don't want this post to get too long).
Technically this post is meant to contain fic references and not just be photos of shiny rocks, so if you missed it, the latest chapter of Monochromatic Serotonin is here.

Rosasite is a secondary mineral that normally forms in oxidized copper-zinc zones. It is chemically composed of copper zinc carbonate hydroxide, with the formula CuZnCO3(OH)2CuZnCO3(OH)2.
This mineral is recognized for its attractive greenish-blue color and its spherical, botryoidal or fibrous crystalline habit. Rosasite is closely related to malachite, aurichalcite and azurite, sharing similar formation environments and physical properties. It is relatively soft, with a Mohs hardness of about 4.5, and exhibits a glassy to silky sheen.Rosasite was first discovered in the early 20th century. The mineral is named after the Rosas mine in Sardinia, Italy, where it was initially found.

It was discovered in 1960 in Ajo, Arizona, US, and was named after the Hia C-ed O'odham people (also known as the Sand Papago) who inhabit the area. This location is the only papagoite source within the United States, while worldwide it is also found in South Africa and Namibia. It is associated with aurichalcite, shattuckite, ajoite and baryte in Arizona, and with quartz, native copper and ajoite in South Africa.[5] Its bright blue color is the mineral's most notable characteristic.
It is used as a gemstone.

gem powers for aurichalcite?
Hmm... I don't really do powers for gems by the name alone unless something really strikes me about them, do you have a personality or an aesthetic to go on?

Addigems
When I watched the anime Houseki no kuni and started reading the manga of the same name, I caught a hyperfix on these stones. Since I also have a hyperfixation on deltarune, I wanted to “combine” two of my favorite art phenomena. I started with spamton (last post) and continued with other addisons, which I call addigems (addisons + gemstones).
Please accept them with love and don't blame me for the clichés, I'm just a stoned guy who doesn't know much about how to write characters correctly.
Pink Addison — Rose quartz, a patrolman who knows thems job, love silence and the sound of rustling grass, speak little, love to spend time with Chrysoberyl. When Halite renounced the addigems Rose (or Ti, because it contains titanium) became more withdrawn, they blame themselves for this.. They/them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yellow Addison — Chrysoberyl, an impulsive patrolwoman who actually dreams of being a armorsmith, her personality is very impulsive and sharp. They/she.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Blue Addison — Smithsonite with inclusions of Aurichalcite, a doctor and herbalist who feels like a burden to all addigems, they very fragile due to the inclusions of Aurichalcite, which make spherical cavities of different sizes in them, this happened due to the fact that they “stayed” in the deposit and part of they were over-oxidized, in love with Topaz, but never mention it, their consciousness is not here for long. They/them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Orange Addison —Topaz (Imperial Topaz), a lone patrolman who likes to relax and do nothing, likes to take errands from Smith (such as collecting some necessary herbs), does not like to change, and when something changes around him, however, when Smith's arms and legs are taken away he falls into despair, he does not know how to help those whom he values so much. Topaz's mental state begins to go downhill after the moment when Smith asks to crush his head, as they are tired of being conscious. After this request, Topaz becomes fixated on revenge, stops using any tactics, and subsequently loses his hands. He replaces his hands with 1900 liters of Pyrite, which Chrysoberyl dragged. After “merging” with iron sulfide, Topaz acquired hydrophobia, and his character became more aggressive. He/they.

Aurichalcite is an ore that is composed of copper and zinc, which react with each other and form bands and veins when exposed to air and water. This is because the two elements have different chemical properties and atomic sizes, which interacts when oxygen and other compounds are introduced.
The reason why aurichalcite is uneven is due to its copper and zinc composition. The two elements form bands and veins, as the copper reacts with the oxygen to form copper oxide, while the zinc undergoes hydrolysis to form zinc oxide. When these two compounds come into direct contact, they will no longer mix properly and form a pattern of zones and streaks.
As a result, aurichalcite is not a uniform material like many other rocks and ores. Instead, it is composed of veins and bands of different colors and sizes, which adds an interesting and unique look to many pieces of jewelry and other items made from the ore.

Doves: Aphrodite is associated with doves because of her role as the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and fertility. Doves were considered to be symbols of love, purity, and peace in Greek mythology, and were often used by Aphrodite to express her message of love and desire. In some myths, Aphrodite is said to have a chariot drawn by doves, which are her sacred birds. Additionally, doves were often used in the rituals and celebrations dedicated to Aphrodite, and were sacrificed to her in order to gain her favour.
Love and beauty: she is associated with love and beauty because she is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and fertility. In Greek mythology, she is said to have been born from the foam of the sea, and is often depicted as the most beautiful of all the gods. She is also said to possess the ability to cause both men and gods to fall in love with her. Aphrodite is known for her power over romantic love and her ability to inspire desire and attraction in others. She is also considered to be the embodiment of physical beauty and grace.
War: in Greek mythology, Aphrodite is not directly associated with war like her Roman counterpart, Venus. However, she is associated with war in the sense that she can bring chaos and strife to the battlefield. Aphrodite is known for her ability to cause discord and strife among mortals, particularly when it comes to love and relationships. She is also considered to be the goddess of sexual love and desire, which can sometimes lead to conflict and war. In some myths, she is also said to have incited the Trojan War by causing Paris to choose her as the most beautiful goddess, which ultimately led to the war.
The sea: Aphrodite is associated with the sea because, in Greek mythology, she was said to have been born from the foam of the sea. According to the myth, she was formed from the foam that was created when the severed genitals of the sky god Uranus were cast into the sea by his son Cronus. Additionally, the ocean is often associated with femininity, and Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and femininity. As such, the sea represents a source of life, fertility, and sexuality, which are all themes closely associated with Aphrodite.
Rose quartz: this crystal is associated with Aphrodite due to its associations with love and emotional wellbeing. In ancient cultures, rose quartz was believed to hold the energy of the goddess Aphrodite and was used as a tool for attracting love, harmony and inner peace. The pink colour of the stone was also said to represent the love and femininity of Aphrodite. Additionally, it was believed that the stone had the power to open the heart and encourage feelings of love, compassion and emotional healing, which are all qualities associated with Aphrodite and her powers over love and emotion.
Friday: in some traditions, Friday is considered to be sacred to Aphrodite because it is believed to be the day of the week ruled by the planet Venus. In Greco-Roman mythology, Venus is the Roman equivalent of the Greek Aphrodite and is known as the goddess of love and beauty. Additionally, Friday is also associated with the planet Venus because the Romans named the planet after the goddess of love, who was the Roman counterpart of Aphrodite.
FACTS ABOUT APHRODITE:
